Roman's POV
"Anxiety, please, it's so hot outside, take off your hoodie." I pleaded. "Hmm, let me think about that...no." He said. "Oh, come on! It's like ninety degrees out!" I replied. "Yeah, and I'm fine in my hoodie. Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go take a nap. Later." He said. Before I could respond, he was already in his room. I slouched down on the couch, thinking to myself. "Why won't he take the cursed thing off?" I mumbled to myself. "It just...it doesn't make sense! It'll be blazing hot outside and he'll still wear it!" I said, before standing up from the couch. "I don't get it! He's always got it on, he'll always have it on, unless we do something about it! But why does he always have it on? Maybe he is just always cold, or he's emotionally attached to it, or...he's hiding something..." I cut off my ramble there.
"That could very well be the reason." Logan chimed in. I jumped at his sudden appearance. "Don't do that!" I said, still a little startled. "I find it amusing to scare you. Anyhow, yes, I do find it quite odd how Anxiety always has his hoodie on." Logan finished. "What're we talking about?" Patton asked from afar. "Why is everyone barging in on my thoughts?" I asked, earning a small chuckle from the other sides. "I just wanna talk to people!" Patton exclaimed, still a big goofy smile on his face. "We're talking about Anxiety, and how they always have on that hoodie of theirs." Logan stated. "Well...I-I mean, I am a little curious myself." Patton said. "Then it's settled, we're finding out what's under that hoodie!"
Patton's POV
We sat ourselves down on the couch, sharing different ideas of what he might have under that hoodie. "Maybe he's hiding his robotic parts!" I exclaimed. The other two emitted a small chuckle. "Hah, okay. But seriously, what is he hiding under there?" Roman asked. "Maybe he's self-conscious about his arms? It's a possibility." Logan said. "Maybe...maybe he writes on his arms! And he doesn't want us to know!" I exclaimed. "Another possibility." Logan chimed in. "Or he's..." Roman paused. "Ya know, it's hard to come up with ideas when you're worried...." "Hey, it's okay, kiddo! You need to think of positive outcomes!" I said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know I do! But we're talking about Anxiety! Who knows what he's hiding..." Roman exclaimed. "I must agree with Roman. I know he's secretive, but for what reason?" Logan added.
"Oh, come on! Be positive!" I raised my voice a little. "I know he's not the most positive to look out on, but we have to try." "...H-He's right, Roman. We have to try. For him." Logan said. "I-I know...I just...he doesn't like to tell people his problems, and then he'll try to figure it out himself, and....and it doesn't end well..." Roman muttered. "Well, maybe he's writing on his arms, writing positive notes! Kinda like Dear Evan Hansen in a way!" I exclaimed. "...must we associate everything with musicals?" Logan asked. "I mean, Patton does have a good idea of what could be happening." Roman said. "Or course I do! I'm Patton! I'm the 'dad' character! I'm the best with knowing what's going in your lives or something. I don't know, I don't want to fit in with the stereotype!" I muttered the last bits.
"We should further investigate." Logan suggested. "Yeah! We should!" I added. "Well, we could do it soon. He told me he went to take a nap." Roman stated. "Well, maybe if we give a few minutes time, we could sneak the hoodie off of him, and then slip it back on when we're done. It'll be like nothing happened, but we will have gained our knowledge." Logan said. "That's an amazing idea! Why didn't I think of that?" Roman mumbled. "Yeah! Let's do that!" "Well, yeah, that seems easy!" I exclaimed. "Good, now that we've got a set plan, we wait for it to spring into action." Logan said. "Yeah, it usually takes him awhile to get to sleep." I said. "True. We should get Thomas in here!" Roman exclaimed. "Yeah, Roman, maybe we should{Yeah, Heather, maybe I should}." Logan said.
Logan's POV
"He could be of some help. He's as close with Anxiety as we are with him." I continued. "Good point..." Roman added. "I'll go get him! Be right back!" Patton said, before sinking down. Before even five minutes, Patton was back with Thomas. "So...we're finding out what's under that hoodie?" Thomas asked. "Yes, we are. We figured you'd be interested as well." I said. "Of course I am! I've never seen him without it." Thomas exclaimed. "Well then, I suppose we should get to it then, huh?"
"Yeah! Let's go!" Patton said, before grabbing our arms and pulling us down the hall. He let go of our hands before making his way over to Anxiety's door. "Knock knock!" He mumbled before knocking on his door. Silence...He knocked once more. Still nothing. He knocked one final time. He's asleep. Roman quietly opened the door, motioning his hand for us to come inside. I took a good look around his room once more, not having been in it for quite a while. He quickly shut it and made his way over to the sleeping boy. He carefully put his hands on the jacket and slid it off. He was dressed in a black and white My Chemical Romance shirt. He threw the hoodie onto a chair and made his way back over to Anxiety. We took a step closer to him and took a look at him. A gasp from Patton broke our concentration.
"HE'S GOT FRECKLES!" Patton exclaimed. "*gasp* HE DOES!" Roman added. Anxiety was starting to stir. "Shh! You'll wake him!" I whisper-yelled. "Sorry, sorry...it's just so cute!" Roman swooned. "Come one! Back one track." Thomas said. "Right...what's he hiding?" Roman whispered. He lightly grabbed his arms, looking examining every inch. "Turn on a light, I can't see anything." He demanded. Patton rushed over to the light switch and flicked it on.
