Hermione had just entered the great hall with her new friends, Pansy, Draco Theo and Blaise. They were actually really great people to be with and she was smiling but that smile vanished when she saw Ron's furious gaze fixed on her. She hurried to the Gryffindor table and sat across from her two best friends who ignored her the whole summer.

She waited and saw the Headmistress stand by the podium tinkling her glass for every bodies attention. Everyone turned and stayed quiet so she cleared her throat and gave a great motherly smile.

"It has been such and awful year with the dark cold war, We have lost many and it seems empty. I can understand if you have any Fear's and hatred to other's but do not hold a grudge! This school is proud of its student's and we have to uphold the Late Headmaster's wish! House Unity! There will be lesser class times and more Houses will be grouped together in activities or a regular study block to help Albus Dumbledore's Wish! That is all enjoy the feast First years and All!" Hermione drowned out her speech as she explained the dangers and boundaries, rules etc.

"What were you doing with those snakes mi-one?" Ron hissed glaring at the four Slytherin's she came in with.

"They changed Ron" Hermione was a bit ticked at that name

"No they are bloody Death Eaters!" He hissed

"Your such a dumb git!"

"Don't speak to my boyfriend like that!" Sneered Lavender

"Malfoy is just going to hurt you!"

"I know you have a grudge but they changed!"

"How would you know?! You filthy MUDBLOOD!" He spat out but then realized what he said "Mi-one I didn't mean it.." but Hermione had gone very pale and fury was laced in her eyes, she was glaring at Ron with the utmost fury.

"Can you repeat that Ron?" She said in a sickly sweet voice

"Ah Hermione.." Harry started only to have a death glare by the woman who rounded back on Ron

"YOU of ALL people RONALD CALLED ME A MUDBLOOD?!" She hissed and seethed with rage before Ron got some back bone and stood up, she stood up as well.

Everyone was silent

"WELL AT LEAST I DONT HANG OUT WITH BLOODY DEATH EATERS!" He roared but she stood her ground

"DONT YELL AT ME RONALD, I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU AND HARRY IGNORING ME! IVE SAVED YOU MORE TIMES AND YOU CANT TELL ME WHAT I CAN OR CANT DO!" She shouted and her wand was gripped tightly by her side

Ron bellowed and screamed "I WONT FUCKING ALLOW YOU TO BE NEAR SNAKES, ROTTEN SNAKES THEY ARE DEATHEATERS!" He roared and she almost hexed him right there

"They changed Ronald how come you cant see that?" Her voice was low but chilly, dangerously cold. It was like knives on a chalkboard and Ron winced

"You called me a Mudblood and I thought you were my best friend!" She screamed at him and his eyes dilated in fury

"you YOU FUCKING BITCH!" He shouted and slapped her causing her to topple backwards and land on the stone floor already feeling the blood ooze out.

The Great hall Erupted in an outburst, people tackled Ron and some actually wanted to kick him in the area where it hurt the most. Pansy, Draco, Theo and Blaise rushed to Hermione who already had Neville, Dean and Seamus helping her up. They nodded in thanks as they rushed her to the Slytherin table before the Headmistress's voice rang out in fury.

"Mr. Weasley How dare you strike against a student! Unfortunately I cannot give any detention as it's the yearly Feast but you shall not lay a hand on the food!" She cast the full binding spell on him and the Great hall was filled with low murmuring and a few pitiful glances at the now tied up red head.

Hermione rubbed her head in anger as she leaned on pansy for support, Pansy let her and propped her up so she was comfortable and started to pick at the food.

Hermione got off the girl and took some Grass jelly and a glass of Coconut water just glaring at the Red head until she turned back to meet 7 gazes.

Neville, Dean, Seamus, Draco, Pansy, Blaise and Theo were staring at her and Pansy was rubbing her back soothing her growing anger, Pansy herself was hiding her anger at what Ron said but focused on the girl with a dark purple bruise on her face.

"Hey you okay?" Draco asked and looked down at her chocolate brown eyes, She nodded and finished her meal before standing up and walking out of the Great hall. What Hermione didn't know was that 7 people also left the Slytherin table following her to the library.

Draco found himself growling and furious with Weasley, his hand clenched and his nails dug into his palm to the point it was bleeding but he didn't care. How dare he that weasel bastard talk to Hermione and slap her?!

Draco had come to like Hermione and he expressed it on the carriage ride, Talking to her and observing her he came to know that Blood status never really mattered and he wanted a fresh start. Hermione was like a new start, a new friend.

Sure he had Blaise and Theo oh and now Pansy but he wanted more friends, his friends and himself had already suffered enough but know it seems that Hermione was suffering more.

They found her in the Library in the corner but the 7 people just stood there looking at each other before grabbing bean bags and setting them up near the crying girl.

"So Neville... I uh wanted to apologize.." Draco started as he looked at the guy in front of him.

"Y-Yeah I Forgive you and that was harsh of Weasley wasn't it?" He looked mad and Nobody could blame him, they were mad too.

Pansy had her arms wrapped around Hermione as the boys were talking.

"So Draco Want to play Truth or dare eh?" asked Seamus his Irish accent a bit thick but everyone's spirit was lifted. They all huddled around Hermione and got a empty Fire whisky bottle which Hermione tutted.

Draco spun it and it landed on Blaise.

"Blaise Truth or dare?" Blaise being stupid

"Dare" Draco grinned like a Cheshire cat

"Okay I dare you to jump on Theo's back and scream I love Unicorns!" Draco chuckled as they saw Blaise turn pale but he nodded.

Hermione looked up to see Theo grunting at Blaise's weight as Blaise opened his mouth and literally screamed "I LOVE UNICORNS!" Everybody was laughing and Draco had tears in his eyes

Blaise blushed and said a quiet shut up before spinning the bottle. It landed on Hermione

"Hermione Truth or Dare?" He asked and she thought a bit. Might as well live a little

"Dare" She answered quietly and everyone's jaw dropped which made her chuckle.

"Ok erm... I dare you to go on a table and shout I hate Weasel Boy" Blaise said happily and she bolted to the table climbing on it and took a deep breath.

They saw the Headmistress but Hermione didn't.

"Oh shit! Wait!" Draco cursed and rushed for her only to be stopped by McGonagell.

"She needs to let it out and frankly I don't care about the table, Ms. Pince won't care either."

Hermione opened her mouth and screamed "I HATE YOU WEASEL BOY I HATE YOU!!!!" She jumped of and panted a bit but stopped when she saw the Headmistress.

"O-Oh Pro-" She got stopped by two arms then 4 arms before she felt sixteen arms all hugging her and she started to cry again.

"Hush child hush, let it all out..." McGonagell cooed before letting go and walking off leaving the kids to finish their game.

Hermione had a blast but she had to go back to the common room and see him, if shes unlucky. They parted ways and The Gryffindor's all walked back to their house and braced themselves at the door.

They opened it and only Harry was in the Common room with a happy look when he saw Hermione safe and sound. He ran up and hugged her shaking a bit, his black hair was tousled and he seemed to regain some color back.

"Hermione im sorry so sorry! I- I shouldn't have ignored you! oh my god im a fool and" He got cut off by a hug and a small shaking body

"I-It's alright Harry! But I was so sad and C-Confused! Why would you guys leave me?" She started to cry but Harry hugged her back stopping the tears and rocking her, stroking her wavy hair and cooing soft words.

He picked her up and headed for the girl's dormitory hoping the hexes would allow him through and it did, he walked to her old room which was now empty as were most rooms, he placed her on the bed and kissed her forehead.

"You will always be my sister Hermione.." He whispered and as he turned to leave he heard a whisper but he smiled and closed the door.

"Forever and always.. Harry"

The next morning Draco woke up to a large thud on his, which was like an elephant!

"Blaise oh my god get off me!" Draco groaned as the fat lump got off hi

"Mate wake up! You'll be late!" Blaise screamed in a childish way and Theo smacked a pillow at him and pushed Blaise to the floor sitting on the guy.

"Ugh Theo I think you earn most Heaviest award Mate!"

"Ha sucks to be you Zabini!" Theo chortled as the two wrestled on the floor before Draco just kicked both of them in the back making them fall again but they pulled down the Blonde boy with them.

"Wagh!" Draco yelped as Blaise chuckled and Theo with a maniac smile

They finally got themselves sorted out and changed into their pristine selves again and not their "Just got out of bed and we almost died" look.

They were walking to the Great hall when they saw Ron and Lavender just having a full blown make out session on some stone steps, Ron was starting to pull off her shirt when Theo just made this horribly loud puking noise.

"Argh Man gross!" Nasty!" Theo retched and the two just glared at him

Draco tutted before he felt a crashing pain in his side and the smell of Green apples.

Hermione had been hurriedly running and weaving around people before she heard the unmistakable sound of flirtatious whispers and lip smacking against each other all around her, she looked around and saw couples everywhere just rubbing into her face kissing, and some undressing!

She started to sprint until she saw the flash of shining platnium blonde but she was to late to stop.

Groaning they looked up to see Blaise and Theo laughing and pulling them up

"God Hermione why come at me like a madwoman?" Draco groaned clutching his side but smiled a little

Hermione hung her head to hide the creeping blush before she felt a tap on her shoulder and she looked around.

"Hey Hermione!" Pansy chirped

"Hi Pansy!" Hermione bowed a bit but Pansy smacked her arm playfully

"No bowing! Bad Hermione" She cooed and Hermione just giggled before hugging the dark haired girl, suddenly there was this bellow like a mad bull

"GET AWAY FROM HER EVIL SNAKES!" There stood Ron all red raced like the red of his Gryffindor Undies!

He glared at the 4 Slytherins who had taken positions around Hermione with a very calm and collected look unlike the red haired man in front of them. Ron clenched his fist until they turned paper white as fury blazed in his eyes.

"Hermione come here NOW" Ron gritted through his clenched teeth but he could see the slightly tanned girl huddle closer to Draco and that seemed to set him off.

"HERMIONE GET HERE NOW!"

She stayed put but a flash glinted in her eyes. She slowly walked to Ron who had a menacing smile

"Good girl Mione now-"

Slap

The hit echoed through the halls and everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at the commotion.

Hermione had just slapped Ron and was holding him at wandpoint, some students snickered and some glared at ron.

She exhaled her breath and turned around sharply before walking back to the waiting Slytherins who were chuckling.

"Let's go please?" She whispered not daring to look at her broken friendship, tears already floating on her eye waiting to dropped down her pale face

They walked into The great hall and sat down on the Slytherin side, Dean, seamus and Neville joined them.

Harry couldnt come because Ginny was clutching his arm tightly, speaking and snogging him so he was trapped.

And Hermione? Hermione was enjoying a nice breakfast with her new found friends a small smile tugged her lips as she secretly gazed at the Platinum blonde beside her.
