015.
TWO WEEKS LATER, the two sisters sped down the road on motorbikes. They were meeting up with Mason who was giving them a jet. When they approached the meeting site, they stopped. Natasha removed her helmet and Lana sighed, "I still don't like the blonde."
"Suck it. You did it, it's my turn," Natasha replied. They walked toward Mason who was sleeping in the grass, his head propped on his bag.
Natasha kicked his foot and he awoke with a start, "You ever not sleep? "
"I've been in six different time zones in three days because of you two," Mason grumbled.
"Oh really?" Lana asked.
"Yeah."
"What are you scraping together some parts? What'd you get this time, like, an upside-down lawnmower?" Natasha questioned jokingly as they walked. Mason stopped and pointed at something in the distance.
Lana was surprised to see a new-looking jet, much like the ones they used back when they were Avengers.
"You see what I can get you with a bit of time and money?" Mason said smugly, "Go on say it. I wanna hear it. It would be good for me to hear it. Really."
Lana nodded as Natasha said, "I'm impressed."
"Yeah but there's no need to be so smug about it," Lana chuckled causing Mason to glare halfheartedly at her.
"Well yeah," Mason said.
"You've always been a really good friend to us," Natasha smiled.
"That's what every man wants to hear. Where are you gonna go?"
"Home. To cuddle with my boyfriend. Maybe adopt a dog or a cat," Lana stated.
"Well ,it's funny. My whole life I didn't think I had any family besides Lana but turns out I've got two so..." Natasha trailed, "One of them's in a bit of a mess right now. Gonna go break a few of them out of prison and see if I can't help patch things up."
The two smiled at Mason before walking toward the jet and getting in. Natasha started it up as Lana plotted the coordinates.
"So we pick up Steve and then go to the Raft to break out the rest of the team," Lana said.
"Yep," Natasha agreed. A moment later they were off to Bulgaria.

One long flight later, Natasha landed the jet in a field near Lana and Steve's cabin. They exited it and trudged toward the house. As they approached it, Lana looked up at the home and smiled. She had come to love the secluded space. It was quiet, so quiet that it gave you a sense of everlasting peace.
Lana lifted the welcome mat and Natasha scoffed, "Really, that's the worst place to put a key."
"I know, I told Steve that but he's stubborn," Lana responded as she opened the door.
They stepped into the home and Natasha looked around. It was just as Lana had remembered it, cosy and warm. After Steve had been in the ice, he still got chills so he always had a fire going in the large living room.
"Nice place," her sister commented.
"Thank you," Lana smiled. She then called out, "Steven! I'm home!"
Steve jogged down the stairs and immediately hugged her, "Thank God you're back."
"Hi, I missed you too," Lana said sarcastically at no formal greeting.
"Sorry. Hi, I missed you," Steve smiled brightly at her. He looked over Lana shoulder, "Natasha."
"Steve, nice to see you."
Lana separated herself from the soldier, "What is there in the fridge? I'm hungry."
"I made spaghetti yesterday," Steve responded. Lana quietly sidestepped him and raced into the kitchen. She opened the fridge and took out the food, placing it in the microwave as the two entered.
"Jeez, what's wrong with you?" Natasha questioned.
"Steve makes the best spaghetti," Lana stressed, "Like, it's amazing."
Steve waved her off, "Oh, you flatter me."
Lana walked around to him and wrapped her arms around his torso and rested her head against his chest. Natasha quietly gagged behind the two but they paid no attention too wrapped up in each other.
Lana looked up at him, "I missed you."
"Me too," he leant down slightly and kissed her gently.
As they were kissing, Natasha had taken Lana's food out of the microwave. She found a fork and tasted it. She shrugged and continued to eat more.
Lana pulled away from Steve and turned. She was gobsmacked, "Are you eating my food?" Natasha shrugged. Lana took the plate from her, "Rude. Pass me a fork." Natasha handed her one and Lana dug in. She slapped Natasha's hand and glared at her but allowed her to eat some anyway. And for a moment everything was good again.
