Crystal's POV

After everyone was sorted, we dug in. After dinner, we had about 10 minutes of free time. We met in the courtyard. Annabeth had her owl. Basically everyone now owned an owl.

"What's her name?" I asked. "Jasmine. Jazzy for short."

Jazzy nipped at Annabeth's ear affectionately. Of course owls would love her. Daughter of Athena. Duh. Which reminds me. I whistled. A beautiful snow white owl came flying down. She landed on my arm. "Hey, Athena! I missed you!"

"Athena?" Annabeth smiled. I blushed. "Yeah, I started to read mythology here. I took a liking to Athena before I met you." The sky rumbled. "Hm, I think Mom likes you now. You know, she didn't really trust you. You know, daughter of Gaea."

"I totally understand. I also understand that your parents don't trust me." I told everyone. Hazel blushed. "Yeah, sorry." "Wait, what's that?" Piper asked. She gestured to the slip of paper tied to Athena's leg that I didn't notice before.

I grabbed it and read it.

Crystal,

I'm sorry that I was never the fatherly figure that you always wanted. I know it's a bit late to say this. Actually a lot late. But I want you know that I will see you soon and that I love you my precious jewel.

P.S. Don't forget to visit Aunt Bellatrix in Azkaban. I know she would love to see you again.

I clutched the letter to my chest. I smiled. "What does it say?" Leo asked. "Nothing really. Just a relative." I lied. "I'll see you guys later. I have to visit a relative."
