NARRATOR'S P.O.V

Buzzing of the dragonflies could be heard in the whole town. It was surmised that when dragonflies buzz in swarm than it will rain certainly. The Sun was not visible in the sky as the black clouds had enshrouded the Sun outright. It looked like it will drizzle. Black clouds can also be seen encircling the Mountain peaks. The weather was fairly pleasant though, it was not too hot not too cold. A herd of spotted deers can be seen grazing in the turf while a lone swamp deer can be seen drinking water from the river. A beautiful Indian Gazelle can be seen running across the meadows. The pleasant smell of primula flowers was present in the whole town. Small kids can be seen playing with the Mimosa pudica plant, giggling when it's leaves fold inwards as soon as they touch them. Farmers can be seen working in the fields. Elephants can be seen throwing water on themselves with the help of the trunk. The town not at all looked normal. The reason was the Dark King. It was now confirmed that the King of darkness has broke the shackles of his curse and has set himself free. Now he was coming to make their life a living hell.

The theory of the castle monster was initially snubbed and discarded by some over smart people of the town. But when these over smart people themselves saw him, they couldn't help but believe that the monster is not just a theory, he is real. The news of the monster spread like a fire in the town. At first people thought it was a fearsome creature but soon the people of the town started realising that he was none other than the Dark King. The town people were scared. But the question was, who broke his curse. And why has the Dark King not thrown that arrogant billionaire out of his castle.??? The town people were bewildered and helpless. Besides the heart stealer of the town, Inspector Parag was also attacked by the Dark King. The poor lad was still in the hospital. Not only Inspector parag, Mr Murli Tripathi, the MLA of the town had also been attacked by the monster. Howbeit the manner of attacking was unalike. Mr Murli tripathi was right now sitting on a sofa crowded with the people of the town.
"Mr Murli, what did the monster do. " the priest asked. Mr Murli's eyes were wide in shock. He was shivering in fear.
"Murli say something. " Mr Punj asked. Mr Punj was a canteen owner. And he was one of the first person to see the monster. Mr Murli didn't reply, because he was still in a state of shock.
"Murli see the monster is behind you. " Shikhar yelled. Mr Murli jumped up as if someone had placed a hot pan under him.
"Leave me please. I......I......didn't do anything. " Mr Murli yelled running around his whole room. People present inside looked at him as if he had lost his mind.
"Mr Murli I was lying. Now tell us what that monster did. " Shikhar said folding his arms. Mr Murli glared at him.
"How dare you tandon. " he yelled angrily. Shikhar hid behind the priest.
"Murli please tell us, what did he do. " priest asked impatiently. Mr Murli sat on his sofa with a thud and took a deep breath.
"So I was returning back to my home when I saw a figure moving inside the forest. I silently walked inside the forest. I looked around to find no one. I was about to go back when I heard a growl. I looked in front to see a devilish monster. He was very tall. He was so terrifying. My legs turned jelly after seeing him. I couldn't move. He started coming towards me like a predator.
"Have you seen any wolf around here, human. " he asked in his scary voice. I gulped and shook my head.
"You are of no good, go away. " he said as he turned away. I ran as fast as I could after hearing that. " Mr Murli said sweating.
"You saw him in the forest, I saw him on the castle roof but contrary to you he smiled at me. " Shikhar said taking a seat on the couch. Ms Damini was hushedly hearing all this. She thought it was the perfect time to speak.
"You both are lucky that he wasn't in a mood to kill. Otherwise by now you would have already reached to heaven. I think we need to find a way to curse him back. " she said folding her arms.
"Cursing him back, can't we just kill him. " Shikhar said raising his brow. Ms Damini rolled her eyes.
"Tandon if killing him was possible that don't you think the God's would have done that by now. " Ms Damini replied. Shikhar made an 'o' with his mouth.
"I swear if I meet that monster again than I will......." Mr Punj couldn't complete because a voice interrupted him.
"Than what will you do Mr Punj. " the town's billionaire said from the door.

He came inside wearing a T-shirt and a jacket over it and a creme coloured jeans. It looked like he had came straight out of bed.
"Please complete Mr Punj. " he said with a crook smile on his face.
"I will.......I will....punch him. " Mr Punj said furiously. The beastly castle owner chuckled. If he had time he would have certainly pulled out his neck from his body, but he had came here for some other reason.
"I really wish you would. Well, I was asking about Inspector Parag. How is he.??? " he asked with fake concern.
"He is still in the hospital Mr Singhala. I hope he recovers soon. " Mr Murli said. The arrogant man smirked.
"Well I hope he gets well soon. I need to go, bye. Have a nice day. " the castle owner said as he exited the house.
"Strange Man. " Mr Murli said. Everyone nodded.
"Ignore him. Where was I??? Yes the monster. I swear......." Mr Punj kept on blabbering and the people sitting inside rolled their eyes.

Sharanya was getting ready in her room. Her family was invited to the engagement party of her neighbour. The party was in their neighbour's house. She wore her red coloured ethnic dress which her father bought for her on her 18th birthday. She gazed at herself in the mirror.

"Oh you are so beautiful. Who are you.??? " she said to herself giggling madly.
"Queen of the Dark King. " a familiar scary voice appeared from the back. She turned back in horror. She looked around to find no one. She kept her hand on her chest and took a deep breath.
"It must be my imagination. " she said to herself. She sat in front of the mirror and started to wear her earrings. She wore an earring in her right ear and was about to wear another one when she felt someone touched her earring. She immediately looked at her side to find no one.
"Calm down sharanya, their is no one. " she said. She quickly wore her other earring and went downstairs to see her family already waiting for her. Her family looked at her in awe.
"Is she my daughter. " her father asked chuckling.
"Yes I am your daughter papa. " she said pouting. Her father kissed her forehead. He gently grabbed her hand in his and walked outside. Her family followed them. They entered inside their neighbour's house. Sharanya was searching for her twin friends when her eyes went to the castle castle owner standing near the wall.

She was about to walk away but than her twin friends hugged her from behind.
"Sharanya you look so pretty. " Syra said with a grin. She smiled back.
"Syra see he is standing there. " Myra said dreamily as she kept on staring at the castle owner. Sharanya was about to say something when the beastly man himself came near them.
"Hello Sharanya. " the scary man said.
"Hello Mr Singhala. " she said a bit scared. He was really happy to see her body fully covered. She looked so beautiful wearing the traditional attire.
"Mr Singhala you look handsome. " The twins said in unison. He smacked his hand on his forehead. He had troubled this whole world and these girls were troubling him. He really thought that the world was better 10,000 years back, at least women were shy and soft spoken of his time but now they are just opposite.

The party went smoothly. Everyone enjoyed. Sharanya was giggling and laughing with her friends not realising that there was a certain someone who was keeping an eye on her. The King of darkness was totally consumed in admiring his beautiful queen. He would watch how beautifully she laughed and how she would talk to people with innocence. He was jealous of those people. He wanted all of her attention directed towards him alone. He can share anything but not her. She was really precious for him. Sharanya was quite tired. She was feeling quite sleepy too.
"Papa I want to sleep. " she said to her father, her eyes half closed.
"Ok go home. We are coming in 10 minutes. " her father said kissing her forehead. She nodded innocently and started walking towards her home. She opened the door and went inside. She yawned as she climbed the stairs. She opened the door of her room and went inside. She was about to lay on her bed when her eyes went to the mirror. She looked in the mirror to find her one earring missing. She kept her hand on her ear and searched around her whole room.
"Where is my earring.???" she whispered as she kept searching inside the room. She was about to check outside her room when a beastly hand appeared from her side. She looked to see the earring kept on the hand. She looked back to find that monster standing really close to her. She screamed in fear.
"Here it is. " the monster said as he kept coming towards her. She couldn't speak because she was just so scared. Tears started to roll down her eyes. She started to step backwards.
"Mate come to us. " the monster said in his scary voice. She shook her head as she wiped her tears with her dupatta.
"Leave......me........" she hiccuped while crying badly. The monster kept walking towards her and she kept moving back.
"We love you Mate. You are ours. " the monster said as he took predatory steps towards her. She kept on moving back but then her back hit the wall. She cried more as she realised she is now trapped.
"Please.....leave.....me....." she sniffled while crying. The monster kept his both hands on either side of her head, caging her between him and the wall.
"Mate is so beautiful. " the monster said staring at her scared face. She hid her face in her hands and cried.
"Come with us to our castle mate. You belong with us in our castle. " the monster said touching her face with his beastly fingers. She shook her head, tears flowing down her pretty eyes.
"You don't know us Mate. " he asked lifting her face up by keeping his beastly fingers under her chin. She shook her head still crying badly. He stepped back and stood near the window. The moonlight falling on him, making him look more scary and dangerous. He stretched his arms and she looked at him wiping her tears with her hand.
"We are the Dark King. And you are the queen of the Dark King. " the monster said stretching his arms. She screamed as soon as she heard him say this. She ran out of her room, screaming and crying. Her family entered inside the house and saw her crying and shouting. They immediately rushed to her.
"Sharanya what happened. " her father asked enclosing her in his arms.
"Papa......he......he......." she couldn't complete as she burst out into tears. Her father wiped her tears. Her family looked at her with worry.
"Shhhhh...Stop crying my princess. Tell me what happened. " Her father said caressing her face.
"Papa......he.......the.....Da.......Dark......King.......said........I.......am........his.......queen......I......am.......so......scared......" she said with difficulty as she sniffled in her father's arms. Her granny looked at her shocked.
"The Dark King. Oh my god.!!!!!! I told you don't let her step inside that cursed castle, now see that Dark King has fallen in love with her and he will stop at nothing till he gets her. " her granny said crying. Sharanya kept crying in his father's arms.
"Mom please, she is already scared don't scare her more. And I know this is all being done by a man. I swear I will kill him. " her father said angrily securing her protectively in his arms.
"Nalini he is right. You should not scare her more. " her grandpa said as he looked at his beloved granddaughter with worry.
"Kavya take my princess to her room. " her dad said to her mom. She nodded with tears.
"Papa no.....don't......leave me.....alone....please. " sharanya requested with tears.
"I will sleep with you ok. Stop crying my baby. " her mother said as she took her to her room.

Sharanya's father sat on a recliner in his room. He was thinking about that monster. He couldn't see his daughter crying. He had to find out that bastard soon. He was in his own world when he saw a figure moving from the corner of his eyes. He looked at his side to find no one. He sighed.
"Your daughter is very beautiful. " a dangerous voice appeared from the front. He looked in front to see two deep sea green eyes staring right at him. He couldn't see who it was as it was really dark, only his eyes were visible.
"Who are you.?? " he asked getting up from his recliner. The owner of those devilish eyes kept sitting.
"I am the Dark King. " he said with pride. Sharanya's father folded his arms.
"Stop scaring my daughter. And what do you think I will believe you. You are a man who is scaring my daughter and the town people. Their is no Dark King. " her father said as he walked towards the wall to on the switch of the light. He On the switch and he looked in front. His eyes were wide in horror when he saw a monster sitting on the couch. Sweat beads started to appear on his forehead.
"Are you......really......the......Dark King..." he asked with fear. The monster stood up from the couch.
"Humans are so sceptical. You are my queen's father hence I will tell you again. I am the Dark King. " the monster said looking at him.
"Leave my daughter. " he said mustering up the courage. The monster clenched his fist.
"Sharanya is ours. Just ours. We will never leave her. " the monster said scaring the human.
"No she isn't. " her father said trying to act brave. The monster growled and banged his fist on the glass table resulting in it's breaking.
"She is our queen. Did you get that Human. " the monster yelled angrily.
"I will not let that happen. My daughter is scared of you. She will never be your queen. " he yelled back. He loved his daughter. He will give up his life but can never let her suffer.
"Either you make her understand to accept us and love us or else we will have no choice but to forcefully take her to our castle and make her our queen without her consent. " the monster warned as he disappeared in the darkness leaving a scared and bewildered man behind.
