NARRATOR'S P.O.V

Tiny warbles flitted about in the thickets of strawberries. Youngsters watched them in amusement, endeavouring to catch the little quick birds with their tiny hands, failing thereupon. Sun was shining radiantly in the clear blue ether therefore the maidens and women of the town gathered in the carnival ground and basked in the warm sunshine. Men were out for work. Winters were approaching and had already flaunted it's incoming signs with the teeth chattering draughts and casual windy gusts. This year the winters would be extra cold and might escort mild snowfall or hail perhaps, the weather reports indicated that, the hill summit would witness the blizzard, that was inevitable. It was pretty early in the morn currently, the emporiums and supermarkets were not opened fully but had a huge queue right out of their barricades. Townsfolk was shopaholic hence you could expect that from them. Confectioneries and diners were howbeit open and wholeheartedly welcoming the customers. In the early time of the day, their was still a bustle inside the town, with the kids trudging to schools, adults walking to their offices and the females to the grocery stores. All in all the town appeared gleeful and that was a good sign for at least they weren't unnecessarily bothering about the castle king and his affairs.

Inside the jaiswals domicile, Mrs Jaiswal was found in her Kitchen, engrossed in the usual Kitchen chores. As the woman of the house it was her responsibility to wake up early and take the Kitchen affairs in her own hands, she had been commendably doing that since 20 years faithfully. The homemaker duty wasn't forced upon her but she herself choosed the job. She fell in love with Sharanya's father and they both resolved to part the work among themselves, she choosed to take care of the house while he picked up to work out and sustain his family financially. And that work distribution worked out pretty well and hence they had lived for 20 years together with love and understanding. She smiled as she recalled how their relationship started and how they'd been proud parents of their beautiful sharanya. An abrupt thump from her side wrecked her musing. She gasped as she looked at the kitchen door only to discover her son-in-law on the door, gawping at her as it would seem. She sighed.
"I thought sharanya was here!!! " he said nervously, stuffing his hands into his trouser pockets innocently. He turned to leave but a feminine voice stopped him. He furrowed his brows as he turned back to find his mother-in-law, calling out to him. He was a bit taken aback by her bizzare comportment presently as she had ne'er called him like that before. She hated him just like every other member of sharanya's family, he knew that.
"Please wait for a minute yuvraj!!! " she said and he raised his brow at her. She rapped down the glass tumbler on the countertop and than walked to him. All the while his eyebrow was raised.
"I apologise for that day!!!! I shouldn't have cursed you like that!!! " she said softly and he looked down. She sighed.
"Sharanya told me everything, why you had to force yourself on her!!! She also apprise me how happy you both are with each other now!!!! I am so sorry, I shouldn't have said those words that day!!!!! But trust me, you don't know what I was feeling that moment when I found out what you did to my sharanya!!!! I am a mother, no man in this universe can relate to the agony of a mother!!!!! A mother keeps a baby nine months in her womb, how can she see her baby in pain!!!!! " she sniffled, wiping the tears from her eyes. The castle king innocently looked down, he didn't wanted to face her although she was apologising.
"It's ok!!!! I can understand what a mother goes through!!!! Sharanya was away from you for just a couple of months and my mother hasn't seen me since 10,000 years!!!! She sobs for me but no matter what she does, she can't have me in my realm until this phase of earth is over!!!! " he said twirling the kitchen cloth. She sighed, she could feel the pain of his mother.
"Sharanya told me what the Moon Goddess did to you!!!!! It wasn't your fault!!!! You miss your family a lot, don't you!!!! " she asked. He nodded.
"I do!!!! They sometimes come to see me on earth, but they don't come together as they have hell to look after!!!!! My elder brother many times visit me, my father and mother too!!! But I can't live with them, it's my curse!!!! " he said fiddling with his fingers. She smiled at the innocent castle king.
"Yuvraj, next time your mother comes to visit you, tell her that you have one more mother on this earth!!! " she said and he looked startled. Tears brimmed in his eyes as he understood what she said. He hugged her immediately and cried. She cried along with him as she hugged him.
"I am your mother, my son!!!! I am your mother!!!! " she sobbed hugging him. He had always wanted someone who could love him like his own mother and today he found out that person.
"Mother!!!! " he whispered as his tears didn't stop.
"Yes my son!!!! " she whispered as she broke the hug and looked at his tear soaked chiselled face, wiping his tears.

In the guest parlour were sharanya's grandparents, her father who was repairing grandpa's favourite recliner and sharanya who was doing something on her MacBook.

"When it's going to be repaired son!!! " grandpa asked anxiously. He treasured the chair as it was gifted to him by the Army Chief, his long term friend, after the Kargil War. It was the only living souvenir of his late friend and he wasn't willing to toss this memory of his friend.
"It's almost done, Dad!!! I promise I won't let any harm come upon your recliner!!!! " he chuckled as he beckoned grandpa to sit on the recliner to test if it was ok or not. Grandpa was more than happy to do that and immediately sat on the recliner, swinging back and forth.
"Wow!!!! It's just like before!!! Thank you son!!!! " grandpa beamed and he chuckled.
"Your welcome dad!!!! Um....sharanya did you had your breakfast!!! " he asked looking at her. Her eyes were glued on the display.
"No Dad, I am not hungry!!! " she said still staring at the screen. He sighed as he firmly strode towards her and in a moment the MacBook was seized away from her in the mid air and she could only gasp.
"Papa, I was just viewing the newly launched cosmetics!!!! " she pouted disgruntled. He sighed as he placed the MacBook inside the chiffonnier.
"You already have so many my dear!!!! Besides no cosmetics before you eat something!! " he said with a smile. She rolled her eyes as she stood up. Meanwhile the castle king and Mrs Jaiswal came inside the parlour, smiling which wasn't expected but nobody paid heed to that whatsoever.
"Kavya!!!! Please lay breakfast for sharanya!!!! And did I mention that you need to include spinach in her daily soup!!! " her father said and sharanya gaped at him in shock.
"No Papa, I won't!!! I hate spinach!!! " she whined but it's hard to convince Dads, chiefly in the matters of food. Nonetheless her mad lover like always came to her rescue.
"Aw!! Don't worry love, I promise you don't have to eat spinach in the castle!!! " he said as he watched that adorable pout on her face. She smiled at that.
"Well I reckon it's the basic manners, which actually stop people from sticking their noses in someone's discussion!!! " her father said with a frown. The castle king rolled his eyes.
"Hand me the book where such plain rules are inked!!! " he riposte back with a smirk to which sharanya let out an exhausted sigh.
"The book of Jaiswals!!!! " her father replied with a simper. The castle king chuckled.
"I am beyond certain that nobody would read that stuff and that book obviously!!!! " the castle king retort back and her father gritted his teeth and was about to come up with something witty but her mother's voice stopped him from going any further.
"Ok stop it!!!!! Sharanya's Dad and yuvraj, I want you both to go out and fetch me some groceries!!! Here's the list for what I need for the lunch today!!!! " she said stretching the basket in front of him. Now both the men gaped at her in shock.
"No way!!!! " they both yelled at the same time, too loud for anyone's liking.
"I won't go with him!!! He's so arrogant and disparaging!!!!! I will go with anyone........even with the old lady although she's over paranoid all the time but I'll manage!!!! " yuvraj firmly said folding his muscular arms.
"Yeah exactly!!! I won't go with him too, he's so annoying and ill mannered!!! I'll go with my neighbour Parekh or alone!!!! " her father too was firm in not going with him. Sharanya and her mother sighed, now they had to take the matters in their own hands.
"Mr Singhala!!!!! You're going and I don't want to hear otherwise!!!! " sharanya narrowed her lids at him and although the threat was too adorable to be scary yet he knew he got to follow that. He let out a defeated sigh.
"Fine, I'll go!!! " he said raising his hands up in surrender, rolling his eyes. Sharanya smiled as she ran to him and hugged him tightly, he chuckled at that and kissed her forehead. Her father frowned at their proximity.
"Thank you so much honey!!! And I believe you won't trouble Papa!!! " she asked looking up at him. He rubbed his nose against her for her a quick second and started.
"As long as he doesn't troubles me, I won't too!!! " he grinned and sharanya slapped his arm. He whined.

Now at half past 11, when the noon was beginning to gather in the town, the two gents handsome as it would seem, strolled inside the town. The basked was in the castle King's hand and he had it close to his chest like a Koala eucalyptus tree while his father-in-law was empty handed except a tiny list in his hands.
"Mustard Oil, Star Anise, Wheat flour, Gram flour, Raisins.......ok!!!! We'll get all in the grocery store!!!! Here it is!!! " Mr Jaiswal pointed his finger at the grocery store at their right, denominated as Shivalaya's Grocery store. The castle king was exclusively new to the shopping business, hence he followed his father-in-law without much thinking. They went inside the grocery store and Mr Jaiswal asked for the list articles. Now it was way later when the store owner actually paid attention to the visitor accompanying the colonel's son. And when he did, he gaped in shock.
"Oh my god!!!! Are you the Dark King!!!! " the store owner practically yelled and the castle king couldn't understand whom he was referring to until a minute later after he realised that he is the Dark King himself.
"Oh my God!!!! I am so fortunate that you're in my store!!!! Please......please...sit down!!!! " the store owner was more than happy to welcome the King. Mr Jaiswal rolled his eyes.
"Well we are in a bit hurry, so please will you make the bill already!!!! " Mr Jaiswal said folding his arms. The store owner laughed nervously.
"What are you saying Mr Jaiswal!!!! How can I charge money from the Dark King!!!! Take it all for free!!!!" he laughed and Mr Jaiswal raised his brow at him.
"Are you sure??? " he asked again to be certain.
"Please I insist!!!! " said the store owner. Mr Jaiswal grinned as he took the grocery and stepped out of the store with the castle king following him, innocently for he didn't knew what was happening. In his era it ne'er took place so he wasn't getting anything whatsoever.
"I thought you were useless, but no you are worth!!!! " Mr Jaiswal grinned once they stepped out of the store. The castle king looked at him perplexed.
"Means!!!! " he asked puzzled. Mr Jaiswal smirked.
"You are the Dark King and as long as you are with me, nobody would charge me even a single penny!!! So you are not that useless for me!!!! We can actually get things for free!!!! It would be so awesome, isn't it!!! " Mr Jaiswal said like an excited kid. The castle king grinned too but that grin was short lived and he continued.
"But isn't it wrong??? " asked he furrowing his brows.
"Better than Killing people!!! " Mr Jaiswal said with a wide grin and the castle king nodded beaming madly.
"So come on let's get everything in free!!! " the castle king said and his partner in crime, nodded with a smirk.

So now both the men, began to stroll in the town a bit zestful. Every store or emporium they step in, they received every single item free. It was obvious that it was pre planned but they made sure that it's the emporium owners who are overly courteous and not letting them pay and they were willing to pay, although that was downright wrong. The list was coming to an end and not even a single penny slipped out from the pockets of both. They were right now in the beverage shop, buying soft drinks for home.
"Oh Mr Swamy!!!! Please don't do this....you are a shop owner, we don't want you to go in loss!!! Please have the money!!! " said Mr Jaiswal, slipping his hands in his pockets, although he had been doing that since past couple of minutes but ne'er even a single penny came out of it. The dark king behaved like a good actor and supported his father-in-law in 'Getting everything for free' movement.
"Mr Jaiswal, Dark King is the King of this earth!!!!! Please it's a gift from my side!!!! " said Mr Swamy with a smile. Both the men sighed, as per planned to show their disappointment.
"Only because you insist Mr Swamy, otherwise I would've given money!! " said Mr Jaiswal, winking at the castle king who winked back at him to show their plan worked. The castle king grabbed the drinks and out they went. After covering a fair distance from the shop, they halted and looked at each other.
"Partner, plan successful!!! " said Mr Jaiswal.
"Yes Partner, Mission accomplished!!! " said the castle king giving a high five to his father-in-law, laughing madly. Both of them were unaware that a friendship was building between them. A strong and an unbreakable bond of friendship.
