END OF ACT ONE

My eyes slowly opened, my eyelashes shadowing my vision as I slowly sat up on my bed, rubbing my eye as I looked at the sunlight coming from my window.

Wait, bed? Window?

My eyes widened as I grabbed my duvet and pried it of myself, my jaw hanging as I looked at my body clothed in a pair of blue pajamas and my hair was tousled and messy.

Maybe it was a dream?

Maybe?

I grabbed my phone that was charging by my nightstand and I pulled the plug off before unlocking my phone, my eyes widening.

6:45 A.M.

My eyes softened as I looked at the time. I have almost an hour left before class starts. I have three classes today in my schedule so I straightened my back, sliding my feet in my slippers before sliding off the bed, taking my towel before walking towards the bathroom.

I changed into a hoodie and skinny jeans before drying my hair and tying it into a messy bun, taking my pair of reading glasses before placing them in my bag.

I walked downstairs, the unfamiliar and lonely presence greeting me as I felt alone, cold, and afraid.

It was terrifying, since I've learned how to be dependent towards my cousin who's been taking care of me since I was a child.

My phone suddenly rang, and I took it out of my bag before checking the caller ID and swiping it, placing the phone on my ear.

"Hello? Aehye!" A voice squeaked in the line and my eyes widened.

"Yeah?" I replied, walking to the kitchen to get some bread and jam.

"Do you want me to come over and pick you up?" The voice asked.

"Hmmm, I think not today Jimin, how about tomorrow?" I ask him and the line falls silent for a bit.

"Yeah, sure! I'll see you at school then?" Jimin asks from the other line.

"Okay then, I'll see you there. Bye!" I said before ending the call, I spread some blueberry jam on a piece of white bread before sinking my teeth in it, savouring the tangy and sweet taste.

I tidied the kitchen countertops and wiped them, as I've observed what Seokjin does everyday.

I also need to visit him later.

I sighed deeply, the thought of my own cousin, the person I hold so dear, behind bars. I still don't get why he had to be the culprit out of all the people here in Seoul.

I walked out of the house, making sure I lock the front door before walking towards the gates, entering the passcode before it beeped open, I walked out of the gates and closed it before making my way to university.

As I made my way to the university gates, the cold wind coming in contact with my skin as I made my way to the lockers.

It was currently 7 AM, and class starts at like 7:30 AM. My feet brought me to the lockers before taking out my books and placing them inside my bag before walking towards my classroom.

The lights in the classroom were turned off since it was really early and some of my classmates come at around 7:10 in the morning.

My fingertips were placed on the doorknob and I twisted it before walking inside the empty classroom. I exhaled deeply before my hands found their way beside the door, finding the switch to turn the lights on.

My fingers pressed the switch.

My eyes widened, my jaw dropped and I let out a huge gasp as I looked at what was before me.

Right there, was a huge lump, buried in a grey hoodie and skinny jeans.

I narrowed my eyes before walking towards the figure slowly, my eyes squinting as I slowly walked towards the direction nearest to the figure and to my seat.

"Uh..," a muffled sound escaped from the lump and my eyes widened at the figure before it shifted it's face towards me and my eyes widened before pursing my lips.

I walked towards the person, my eyebrows narrowing as I looked at the figure.

"C-come here," the person gestured from under it's hood and I was almost infront of the figure.

But not until it's fingers wrapped themselves around my hoodie-clothed wrist.

My eyes widened looking at the the person's head that was rising, it's hood slowly falling down revealing a mop of brown hair.

"Aehye-ssi," the voice said groggily and my eyes widened.

Taehyung?

"I...."

Suddenly, he pulled me towards him, my body moving forward as my eyes trailed towards his chest and his brown eyes, my face inches away from his soft face...

...and I fell on the cold and hard floor.

My eyes widened as my body fell on the tiled floor, my eyes squinting through the pain as my knee came in contact with the floor and my bag fell with me.

"I couldn't see the time," Taehyung spoke as he squinted his eyes towards the digital clock that hung behind me, his eyes trained towards it before fixing his messy hair, my eyes still squinting at the immense pain he gave me by pushing me out of his frame.

As if it was a second, I gritted my teeth, my hands fisting as I felt a fire ignite inside my body, my ears boiling hot as I pushed myself off the floor.

"Hey! Kim Taebutt! You little, snake-infested bitch with no-," I ranted as I grabbed his hoodie, pulling him towards me as I struggled to stand because of the fall.

He gave me his signature smirk as he leaned towards my face, expecting me to throw a fit.

Creeeaaakkkk

"Uhh? Are you.... guys...? Uh, uhm," an unfamiliar voice surrounded the empty classroom.

My eyes widened as I turned my head towards the figure standing by the doorframe, books in hands and a backpack hanging on the shoulder.

"Sh-should I... go for awhile? We have 15 minutes left, uhm. I'll just make sure you both get privacy?" The guy asked awkardly as he stared at the situation me and Taehyung were at.

"N-no! We're definitely not doing something! You can come in and why would we do something like that, we're not even close!" I exclaimed as I let go of his hoodie.

"She's lying, continue taking my clothes off, babe. I know you want this Taeconda," he said aloud which made the poor guy flinch in horror.

"I'm sorry! Taehyung is uh... he's gay!" I blurted out and Taehyung gave me a what-the-fuck look.

"He's gay?!" The guy's face brightened up as he flashed a smile at Taehyung, in which Taehyung's jaw hung.

He bounced his brow at Taehyung and Taehyung looked at me before his nostrils enlarged at the man.

"Yes! Now go to your seat.... uh... Jungkook! Damn I almost forgot we were classmates," I spoke as I read his name tag.

"Yeah sure! And the other classmates are coming by the way so we better get ready because Ms. Pyo is in first period," Jungkook spoke before walking towards his seat.

"Okay class! Today you will sit with your partners again! This is all part of the project so I hope everyone will cooperate," Ms. Pyo spoke and everyone agreed before taking their books and walking beside their partners.

"I also got a text message from Yeonjun saying that Soobin is missing and he is helping the police, I also hope everyone will help out with Soobin, the authorities are worrying over him to the point we had to shorten our classes," Ms. Pyo continued as she stacked the papers.

I sat beside Taehyung before looking at his side profile, he was writing on his notebook, minding his business.

Soon, Ms. Pyo stood infront of us, papers in hand and placing them infront of the people sitting on the front row.

"Today we will learn about Ancient Korean Law and Dynasties, so I want everyone to take their phones out and research this with your partner, before handing a report over to me by the end of the day," Ms. Pyo spoke as she gave the paper to me since me and Tae were infront of the class.

Dynasties, huh?

"Now take one and pass," she began and I took a sheet of paper before handing it to the person behind me, and I looked at the paper in my hand.

I bent down towards my bag to take my phone, my fingers zipped the bag open before brushimg my fingers around the different stuff I had.

Then, my fingertips brushed on something cold,

My eyes widened as I looked at what was inside my bag.

The pocketwatch.

I looked at it for few seconds before taking my phone, afraid of being scolded by Ms. Pyo.

I'll deal with that later.

I placed my phone beside me before looking at the paper.

Wait, what is this?!
