My eyes widened, I was actually hanging on the bridge. I looked down as my head suddenly felt dizzy, the bridge was so high and the Sanzu River below was like a crystal clear canvas. It was shining, the bright and cloudless sky reflecting against it.

Wait a second.

This doesn't feel right.

This isn't the Land of the Dead.

I slowly squint my eyes as I look around, the bars seperating me from entering the bridge inside since I was outside of it, hanging on the ledge, almost falling towards the river.

Wait...

Who am I finding again?

My eyes widened, as I looked at the different people, no expression on their faces as they kept walking somewhere. The bridge was long, extending so far that all I could see at the other side were other people that look like ants.

They showed no emotion, and they were in all ages. They seemed pale and they didn't talk to each other.

Am I... in the afterlife?

But only dead people get in the afterlife.

Unless...

I look at my hand, and my eyes widened again, I knew it.

My hand was slowly fading, and I gritted my teeth as I gripped the bars of the bridge.

Who am I finding?

Why does my heart feel heavy?

Who are you?

I looked around the crowd, feeling heavy once more as I felt tears pooling my eyes, the wind caressing my hair as it fluttered around, and yet people didn't even notice me.

I hung my head down, trying my best to remember who that person is.

You're someone I needed the most, you're someone that I yearned for all these years, you're someone so unexepected that has come into my life.

But who are you? Why am I finding for someone who I don't even know exists?

But the question is, why is our fate so hard? That we have to conquer lofe and death to see each other?

Then suddenly, I felt a tug in my heart as I slowly lifted my head, and a tear rolled down my cheek as I looked at that person.

He wore a dark hoodie, and it shielded his face, he burrowed his hands in his pockets, and he slowly lifted his face to meet mine.

His eyes widened as he stared at me, and he slowly lifted his arm, stopping in his tracks before pointing at me.

"You...."

"You....," I replied.

"I can't recall you, but I felt something within me," he muttered under his breath and I looked at him. And he bit his lip.

"I don't know your name, but I felt tied with you," I replied as he slowly approached me.

"You're someone..... I care for, I hold so close to my heart, I can feel it," he said and I looked at him, the bars seperating us.

"You're someone.... I loved a lot," we both said at the same time and he slowly lowered his arm, looking at me.

"I loved someone.... but I'm a sinner. I was cursed by the Almighty, and my years of living on Earth has come to an end. My curse has ended, and the deity told me...

....that if I keep staying in the human world, the world will slowly crumble, ending the lives of everyone."

"Who are you? It seems like everything in my mind is starting to get empty, I need to know you before I disappear! I need to know who you are," he said as he slowly approached me.

"I can feel that you're someone important to me, someone I hold dear, but I can't recall who she is," he said and I looked at him with tears in my eyes.

The bridge on the Sanzu River erases the memories of those who are going to the afterlife.

But for me, it's like time is running out.

Then suddenly, my hands slowly slipped, my fingers fading little by little as I lost my balance, my eyes widening as I tried to reach the other bar...

..but failed as I fell backwards and into the Sanzu River.

"Wait!" He shouted as he tried to take my arm, but it was like a second as I felt my whole world fall, and into the large canvas of a river below me.

Then, I was slowly lifted up, the water below me lifting themselves as I was fled onto midair by nothingness, the air supporting my limbs as I fled on midair, a few meters away from the man.

"You're a human!" He said as he looked at me.

"Yes, I am! What's happening?!" I said as I kept my balance in midair, looking down at the Sanzu River looked like I didn't fall in it in the first place.

"The Sanzu River is a river that can only be touched by souls! You're a human so it seems like the river is rejecting your entire being!" He responded as he looked at me in disbelief.

"That doesn't matter! I need to know who you are! I need to know you before I completely forget you!" I yelled as the air felt like it was embracing me.

"It doesn't matter if I don't tell you my name. No one even acknowledged me in the thousand years I was living, no one doesn't want me, let alone love me. So, for you, if you find something imperfect in a world where everyone is the same, where everyone is equal, where everyone is human, you would throw it out, right? Because every imperfection gets erased, every mistake gets thrown out," he said as he looked at me.

"But the world isn't perfect! It's full of sin, destruction, it's full of people who do stupid shit they don't even know they're doing! Everyone does mistakes! So why does that have a difference to you?! And don't say you're not loved, because I loved you! For me, if there's an imperfection, I'd simply forgive it rather than throw it away, because you know why? Because I believe and I think that imperfection will be made into something more. It will make the world much beautiful!" I responded and he looked at me, tears pooling in his eyes.

"One person, only you wanted me there. But I don't know you... and I fear telling my name to you, because it will destroy you, the person I loved," he said softly as he looked at me.

"I don't care if the world gets destroyed because of you! I don't care if the world crumbles before my eyes! All I want is the person I love! And that's enough to have in my world! That's enough for me as long as you're there! Who cares if I can't see the sunlight? Who cares if I can't see my loved ones as if they're still alive?  Who cares if I can't see the face of the earth ever again? The world is already cruel, so what? You're all I want in the world, because I loved you! I loved you more than my life, I loved you more than myself! Because I know your love is all I need! Because you are the purpose why I began to love again!" I yelled at him, closing my eyes shut as I let every word come out of my chest as I let him listen to every word that I didn't have the courage to let out before.

And I slowly opened my eyes,

And he jumped off the bridge.

TAEHYUNG POV

FLASHBACK

"Taehyung," a voice called as I sat on the bed, and he looked at me before sitting beside me.

"What?" I responded as I sat beside the person. And he sighed deeply before looking at me.

"You know.... the conditions, right?" He asked as he faced me.

"Yeah, I read it. I knew it, it's the bitter truth," I replied as I looked down on the ground.

"How bitter it is to know, that destiny and fate will be the reason of pain, and death. Because expectations are the real way to kill somebody," I continued and he stared at me.

"Your purpose here is fulfilled. Your curse is lifted, because of her. She risked her life for you, like yours and hers were one," Seonghwa said and I looked at him.

"And because of that, I had to go soon," I trailed off.

"Because of the consequences. I know, it sounds sad, and unfair. But we must go with why the Almighty planned that, and it never disappoints," Seonghwa replied.

"Hey Seonghwa," I called and he looked at me with bright and grey eyes.

"Yeah?" He responded.

"Did you think she loved me?" I asked him.

"I don't know, but with all her dedication and how she cared for you without showing obvious gestures of love, I might say she did love you, a lot," Seonghwa said.

"Why?" He responded.

"Remember when you always asked a dead soul if they have any regrets in their lives?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Well, I regret not loving her earlier."
