"O-oh, nothing. I was just looking at the cakes," I said as I swiftly looked at the person standing infront of me.

He wore a black sweater and jeans and had a white apron wrapped around him, and he looked at me before a smile tugged up on his face.

"I heard it's your birthday," he smiled as he looked at me, and I nodded slowly at him before looking down at the ground.

"Is that your little sister?" He asked as he looked at me.

"Cousin."

"Well, do you want to come in? You sure seem like you like cakes alot," he smiled as he opened the door a bit more.

"I do, and I want one. But... I don't have money... so I'll be going now," I said as I pulled the little girl closer to me.

"Wait a minute there little boy, I'll go get something for you. Be patient," he said as he turned his heel and made his way inside, and he disappeared to an aisle and all I could do was stare at him.

A few minutes later, the young man came out with a small white box, and he looked at me before a soft smile formed on his face. And he kneeled down before giving me the cake.

"This is yours, happy birthday," he smiled before nodding it towards me.

"Thank you sir, b-but I can't! This is too much! I don't have money," I replied as I gave him a worried smile.

"Take it, the boss isn't here so you better take it before he comes back," he lightly said as he gave it to me.

"Thank you," I said shyly before carrying the box on my other hand.

Suddenly, a tear rolled down my cheek, followed by another one as I sobbed softly, looking at the man infront of me who looked at me confusingly.

"Th-thank you for your kindness...," I said through tears as I looked at him with puffy eyes. Tears rolling down my cheeks.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked as he patted my shoulder, looking at me.

"S-sometimes, when I don't know what to do with my life, when I'm scared of what will happen to me, I just cry...," I said as I looked at him through tears.

"There was a man who told me that the Almighty was always with me, but it seems like... everything's been hard for me. It seems like I don't have ther energy to continue on anymore...," I trailed off as my heart began to get more heavier.

"Listen kid, sometimes, things like these will pass. As long as you're alive, you have a purpose, and that is the purpose to live. As long as you're alive, there will always be hope. Times like these when people have a hard time will pass. Because these obstacles is the reason why you've went this far. And someday, when you're all grown up, you'll look back and be thankful," the young man said as he patted me.

"I feel... useless. I don't know how long I could stand this. I feel like no one will be there for me, to be with me in times like this," I mumbled through sobs.

"She's there for you, she'll be the person who will be with you, to cheer for you and guide you. She's the only family you have afterall," the man smiled as he gestured to the little girl that was hiding behind me.

"The reason I'm still going on with life now is so that I could be with Aehye. I promised to take care of her, and shower her with the love I never got from my parents," I explained.

"I see, now... little girl?" The man asked as he crouched down to the eye level of the young girl behind me.

She poked her head out a bit before giving the young man a small smile.

"Hey, you see this boy? He needs all the hugs and love, okay? He took care of you, and he's your cousin. He says he's sad all the time, and make sure you make him happy, don't make him into a grumpy boy, make him proud, okay? You only have him, so please make him happy, and sing him happy birthday," the young man told the little girl.

"I promise! I won't make my Seokjinnie sad! I'll give him all the hugs he needs because he's always sad!" Aehye said happily and the young man laughed softly.

"So Seokjin, if ever you're sad, just remember. All these will past, the negativity and sadness you have is temporary, you have a reason why the Almighty has placed you in this life, we all have," he said before standing up.

"Hey, little girl, I want to show you something," he smiled brightly at her and the girl replied with a smile.

"Sure," Aehye responded.

"See this? In my hand? What is this?" The man asked as he took out something from his pocket.

A white feather.

"That's a white feather! Seokjin once told me I didn't have parents because I fell from the sky and he said if I become a good girl when I grow up I'll have white feathers like those angels I see in TV," Aehye giggled and he smiled at her.

"Cute, I'm sure you'll be the most beautiful angel when you grow up," he beamed before placing the white feather on her palm.

"Happy Birthday once again, Seokjin," he smiled at me.

"I'll get a part-time job then! I'll make use of the exprience I have. I'll make sure I get out of this quickly! I'll make a living and buy a house, I'll attend school and become what I always wanted to be!  A police officer!" I smiled at the man.

"Of course! I hope that happens! Good luck!" The man said as he stood up straight.

"Thank you! Thank you so much... uh...," I trailed off as I looked at him.

"Hoseok... call me Hoseok," he smiled as I looked at his blonde-colored hair. He smiled widely before turning his back.

And I smiled back at him.

I could've sworn I saw his eyes glow blue.

And at thay day, I believed that angels, grim reapers, and many more exist out there.

-Back to Present-

TAEHYUNG POV

As soon as I knew it, I was suddenly slammed to a wall, my teeth gritted as I felt a tight knot around my neck, the grip becoming more stronger.

"Now tell me, what are you?" A voice asked and I barely opened my eyes, my chest aching as I tried to stare at the person infront of me.

"Wh-who are you?" I asked through short breaths as I looked at the figure infront of me.

"I asked a question first, what are you? An evil spirit? There must be a reason why you've been turned into a hideous monster," the voice replied.

"P-please... let me go!" I said as I tried to escape, trying to open up the strong grip around my neck.

"I'm asking nicely, you evil spirit cursed by the Almighty!" The voice yelled and I flinched as my eyes widened, and I looked at the figure infront of me before my eyes widened.

"Exorcist?"
