I open my eyes to see shadows covering everything that had started to die. And all of it is being restored and more... awakened, reinvigorated.

I let out a sigh of relief and call the shadows back to me.

"And someone is here to see you." says Warren, smiling in my head. I turn towards him to see he is holding Wendy's hand. "Carla had a vision and said that you needed me, " she says. "I returned from my quest as fast as I could."

"So that just now..."

"Was a unison raid." Warren and Wendy say together.

Gajeel walks up to me and puts his arm around my shoulder. "Gee hee. Now let's go find our old friend."

"But Gajeel, he isn't the Ryos I remember at all. That's what made me lose control. I started thinking about Rogue. He... he murdered my Kaze!" I say and fall to my knees. I land, not on the ground, but on someone who catches me. "Come on." Says Gray. "Let's take you home to rest first."

Gray carries me to Lucy's place and Lucy lets us in. As we walk through the door we see Natsu messing around with the fish tank.

"What are you doing here, Natsu?" Lucy exclaims. "Oh!" She says with delight as she sees her fish tank back to the way it was before. "But how?"

Natsu blushes. "It was supposed to be a surprise."

"We used our food money at the pet store," says Happy.

"I could tell you were upset about your..." Natsu's words are cut off as Lucy crashes into him for a hug. "Thank you." she says teary eyed.

"In loooooove" says Happy, flying around in a heart shape.

"Oh brother!" says Gray and puts me down on Lucy's couch. He reaches out his fingers to my face, and gazes at me intently. "Wendy is here to help you, Violet, do you need anything else?"

"Um, um... I'm really hungry." I say quickly and look away.

"Big brother Natsu is on it!" Natsu says and heads out the door, taking Lucy with him. "Come on Lucy!"

Natsu and Lucy get back loaded down with Chinese food. Natsu sets egg drop soup and triple cooked pork in front of me. "It's my favorite comfort food. How did you know?" I say as I start shoving it in my mouth. Lucy replies, "Warren. He was waiting for us when we got there. Had already ordered it and everything."

"Oh."

"Well, I am going to go talk to the others and get a group together." Gray says and stomps out the door without looking at me.

"Gray-san?" says Wendy.

"Don't worry about it," Natsu says. "We have more important things to focus on right now."

"Right, Nii-san. Violet, you finish eating and then I'll give you a thorough checkup. On second thought, you know how the shadows were healing everything back there, and then you got really hungry? Let's do your checkup before all of the food is gone." She says grinning, I lay down on the bed and she starts scanning my body with her hands. "You are in a weakened state. Here's what I'd like to try. You call on the shadows and I will heal you along with them."

"Um okay." I call on the shadows and they cover my whole body. Wendy concentrates to work along with them, and finally drops to her knees.

"Now you are exhausted Wendy-chan. What are we going to do with you?" Lucy says and Natsu guides her over to the couch. "You need to rest."

Gray appears at the door with Erza, Gajeel, Pantherlily, and Warren. "We are ready to go. How is Violet doing?"

"I am great, but Wendy might need some rest first."

"While we are waiting I have an idea." Lucy says. "Something we can investigate."
"Warren and I will stay here with the ladies." Gray says as he smiles at me.

I get up to sit on the couch and finish eating and Gray leads Wendy over to the bed.

"I am sorry, Violet, that this is painful for you," says Warren.

"Oh, but you and Wendy saved me!"

That got him to smile.

Erza's POV:

I wonder how this is going to work with Gajeel and Pantherlily on the team. And will Gajeel be a calming or an irritating presence for Violet?

"What is this about Lucy?" I ask.

"Remember that dress in the store? If it is still there we can see how old it is. It will help us to piece together Violet's past. We will know better where the missing years are."

"Good thinking, Lucy, let's go." Natsu enthusiastically agrees.

Violet's POV:

Gray and Warren are talking about when the guild members went missing for 7 years. I finish eating and now I am feeling very sleepy. I let my head rest on Gray's shoulder and drift off to sleep. "Ryo-kun." I mumble, picturing the boy I used to know.
