It's morning, so Warren is reporting to Erza as the rest of us are packing up camp.

"Someone wants to talk to you," he says to me.

"Violy! How are things going?" - Natsu. "Is Warren pushing you too much?" - Gray. "I miss my bed." - Lucy "Gi hi hi." - Gajeel. "I am proud of you Violet, I know this isn't the easiest thing to do right now." - Erza.

"Thank you everyone. You are all so special to me. I wouldn't be able to do this without you."

"Violet, remember, your goal is to remember enough of your past to stop Zeref's power from killing everyone in the guild. Be strong. We are counting on you." - Pantherlily.

"Right. I will!"

"You can do it Violet." Seb gives me a hug, and Warren puts his hand on my head and nods at me. Everyone is counting on me. I can't let them down. If I don't remember my past, I won't be able to help Zeref, and everyone will die.

"Here is the plan." Warren continues. "Rogue's memory loss is related to yours, so if we can get to the bottom of it, it might help you also. Talking to him could trigger your memories and his, so you need to keep him talking as long as possible. Whatever it takes. I am going to follow as many of his thoughts as possible, and see what is controlling him. If we can release him from this, then I am sure it will release you also. See if there is anyway you can somehow switch him back to his old self. Now I need you to think about Ryos, when you knew him, so that you will be better equipped to do this. I am only going to get you started. I won't be following your thoughts, so feel free to let your mind wander." Warren puts his hands on my head as I start to think about Ryos.

I remember going on hikes together, the 4 of us. I remember making dinner together, and camping when we would stray too far from the cave. I remember his laugh, and his tears. Staying up all night, falling asleep from exhaustion and grief. Training together, sparring, as he got stronger, faster. I think of shadows, as he is controlling them. They are soothing and cool. We planted and tended a garden and I was so surprised when purple daisies came up in the middle of the vegetables. "Your favorite, sensei," he said as he tucked one behind my ear. Why didn't I notice that he was falling in love with me? Finally I remember that last day. He is so angry. I just didn't know what to say. Ryokun.

Grays POV:

Pantherlily reminds Violet of the goal. To remember her past. Violet, I like who you are. I don't want you to remember who you were. What? Why did I think that? Is this why Warren makes me so angry when he pushes her? She might save the guild, but the Violet I know will be gone. He's taking my Violet away from me! "I've got to get out of here and clear my head." Erza looks at me kindly and nods. Does she know how I am feeling? Still, I can't stay gone long. We are waiting for Warren's call, and Violet is counting on me.

Violet's POV:

"We had better walk today. I don't think anyone can catch up to us this way," suggests Seb.

"Fro thinks so too!"

That's why Ryos isn't here yet. We are outrunning him. "Oh, is that why Ryos isn't here yet?" Maybe if we slow down I will see him sooner. My breath catches in my throat. Why does that thought excite me? No, he isn't my Ryos, he's changed. But what if he hadn't? It would be like, like being home. Home. I touch my heart, sensing the hole that is there. My parents, Zeref, Kaze, and then Ryos. They all left me. Left me without a home. Will I ever find it again? I thought I found a home here with Fairy Tail. I remember Gray's words, "I guess I--er *we* really don't know you after all." When I remember my past, things will change. I will lose everything all over again. Why does the world reject me?

Warren's POV:

I feel a darkness behind me. I turn to see Violet's eyes go black. In a panic I open up the telepathic link to the whole group. "Gray." We all hear Violet say, and then. "NO!"

We all scatter like the first time this happened. I thank Seb for his quick rescue. Wendy and Carla land next to me. "Let's meet here." I send to everyone except Violet. Leo, Lucy, Pantherlily, Gajeel, Happy and Natsu are followed by Erza. "Where's Gray?" Natsu and Erza think at the same time.

They get wide eyes. "He didn't!" Says Erza and Natsu goes running off in Violet's direction.
