"How could you just elope without telling me? We're supposed to be partners. Leo should have asked me."

"It all happened so fast. We had to do this so Leo didn't have to leave me anymore... and he had already waited four years..."

Leo comes up behind me and adds, "Lucy, stop feeling guilty. Four years isn't that long for a star. Natsu, You only missed my half of the vows. We'll still have a wedding for Lucy's... with the whole guild."

"Oh, so I didn't miss the wedding?" He says, starting to grin.

What a relief! "No, Natsu, you didn't miss it. Of course you are still important to me. I don't have a father or brother, you are my family, Natsu-kun!" I give him a hug and then add, "Will you walk me down the aisle and give me away?"

"Yeah, that's why I was so angry."

The guild members who were watching sigh with relief.

"And we're still partners! In fact, I was just about to take a job..."

Happy cuts in, "Ah, we can't take a job right now we are waiting for Ul.." Natsu covers his mouth and cuts in, "Zeref to get here."

We all eat lunch and Natsu heads over to Violet's place to wait on their group to arrive.

Leo and I are eager to try the job request on our own, and Gray, Juvia, and Erza agree.
I call the number on the job request and we meet with Mizohu.
She explains that she met someone almost a year ago. A mysterious young man with white hair and eyes that seemed to change into different bright colors depending on his mood. He visited her in the hospital after she had almost drowned. She has no family but has always felt like someone was watching over her, and has a feeling it has been him. She has been searching for him, but hasn't seen him again.

We meet her at her apartment.
"Please don't think I am crazy. I believe that the man I met is the lonely star Fōmaruhauto. I have always loved the stars, and talked to them. I noticed that it looks like he is watching over me and when I was talking to the stars, I think that I heard him singing to my heart. We were both lonely and only had each other." Her expression changes. "But now, I don't hear him anymore. I want to find him and ask him why."

"I believe you," say and give her a hug. "You see, This is my husband, Shishikyū."

"Your husband is a celestial spirit!" She says overjoyed. "I knew it had to be possible!"

"Please forgive him for disappearing for a time. A year isn't that long to us, and Fōmaruhauto is young." Leo says.

"Your job request said you were running out of time?" I ask.

"Yes. You see, my guardian has chosen a suitor for me. I am doing my best to avoid him for now, but I won't be able to much longer."

"Ah, that's probably why he is staying away from you," Leo suggests. "I will talk to him."

Mizohu is beside herself. She jumps out of her seat exclaiming. "You know Fōmaruhauto. You know where he is? Take me to him!"

"Unfortunately, I can't do that, you can't go to him. But we'll try to get him to come here to talk to you. You ready Lucy?"

"You mean?"

"Yes, my love," Leo says, wrapping his arms around me. "It is time for you to see your new world." Leo starts to glow and I soon find that I am glowing too. We fly through space and soon find ourselves heading toward a galaxy that looks like an eye. In the middle of the pupil is the brightest blue star I have ever seen. We stop to talk to him.
"Mizohu needs you." I blurt out.

He looks at me shocked, then lowers his head. "She doesn't need me anymore. She has someone else now."

"You are wrong. She can't just replace the one she loves with someone else. I know she can't. It is you that she wants. It is you that can comfort her, and your presence that gives her strength." I realize I am looking at Leo as I say this when he squeezes my hand and lifts it to his lips for a kiss.

"Please come with us and talk to her about this." Leo adds. "She is searching for you everywhere. She says she doesn't want this suitor and that she is running out of ways to avoid him."

"She doesn't want him?" he replies, and then he is gone.

"Should we leave them alone for a bit?" I suggest. Leo is looking at me intently. "Lucy, you really do love me." He says, lifting my face with his hand. "Hai, Leo. I love you." I pull him in for a kiss to show him how much.

"About that... Lucy, when will you be my wife?"

"Oh, of course, Leo-sama." I grab my keys. "Virgo, Capricorn."

"Yes, goddess."
Goddess? Eeep! I look at Leo with wide eyes. He winks at me. "We have a wedding to plan!" We talk about wedding plans for a while, to give Mizohu and Fōmaruhauto some more time. I send her a text, "How's it going?" after about 90 minutes.

"Come see for yourself." She sends back.
I excuse Virgo and Capricorn and jump into Leo's arms. "Let's go!"

I knock at the door of Mizohu's apartment timidly. She answers the door with a bright smile on her face, proudly pointing to the glowing tattoo over her heart in the shape of an eye. "Congratulations!" I say, bursting with joy for them, and give her a hug. Fōmaruhauto smirks and looks at the ground.

"Let's keep in touch okay?" Mizohu says as she hands me an envelope with the reward money.

"We don't need this," says Leo, handing it back to her. "I am glad we were able to help, Fōmaruhauto."

"Arigatō." He replies, bowing. Leo grabs his hand and pulls him into a bear hug.

"Twas a pleasure, my friend."

Violet's POV:
With three dragon slayers, our group avoids transportation if possible. We could use more time to talk on the way back anyway, so we set out walking. Sting, Meredy, Jellal, and Rogue take the lead, the exceeds are in the middle and Zeref, Ultear and I take the rear. I decide that I want to know what the books said about me. It seemed like they just left me alone while they focused on Zeref. "That's partly true, but not really." Ultear explains. "They were putting thoughts into your head to keep you isolated so that it was easier to blackmail Zeref with you, and to keep you available should he ever become less useful. When Zeref lost control of his powers, they planned to keep you distrustful of everyone but them and to reawaken your death magic by faking Kaze's murder, but you ruined their plans by joining Fairy Tail." I touch my guild stamp and well up with pride for my guild, my family. "Ultear, could you tell Violet about your experience?" Asks Zeref. "I was under mind control from the time I was a small child..."

I try to focus on Ultear, but I keep getting distracted. I watch Rogue walking ahead of us and daydream about being home and starting a family. Rogue, I just want more and more of you... A change in Ultear's voice snaps me out of it. "Violet, why do you have scales?" She asks with panic in her voice.

Ultear's POV:
I was talking to Violet and next thing I know she zones out and sprouts scales. Is it because she senses danger? "Violet, why do you have scales?" I ask, starting to panic.

Next thing I know Rogue has her in his arms. "I'll take care of this." He says, with a smirk. "Seb, Frosch, see you and Lector at home later." He whisks her off with some kind of super shadow speed. What was that? Sting is the only one not looking confused. He smiles broadly. "Zeref, looks like you and I are about to be uncles," he says, slapping Zeref on the back. Meredy's face heats up and she starts to giggle.
"But they're both dragon slayers." I mumble absentmindedly. I wonder how it works when only one is. "What was that Ultear?" Sting asks, sniffing at me.

"Oy, get your nose away from me."
"Heh. Natsu?"
"What? What about Natsu? What has he done to me?" That cocky pervert is asking for it!
"Done to you?" Sting laughs at me. "Nothing."
"Then what are you talking about?! You are defending him too? That's why that cocky pervert thinks he can get away with anything!"
"Cocky pervert?" says Jellal. "What are you talking about?"
"Why do you all defend him? Have you no respect for women? I've heard stories about the Salamander... a womanizer who takes whomever he wants."
"Oh, that wasn't Natsu," says Sting. "That was some guy using love magic and calling himself the Salamander. Until Natsu and Lucy took him down that is...
"That wasn't Natsu?" I think of Natsu, always teasing me and my face gets hot. "But he is a cocky pervert. I have seen it myself!"
Sting laughs at me again and does a face palm. "Ultear, have you noticed that Rogue seems to be a cocky pervert when Violet is around?"
"That's different. He loves her, and she is his mate."
Sting just looks at me, shaking his head. "Never mind. Let's just get home."

Violet's POV:
Home! Rogue doesn't bother to unlock the door, we just zip through the shadows until we get to our room. It's a good thing too, because otherwise we may have woken Natsu and Happy, who were snoring on the couch. "Do you know why you have scales Vi-chan?" Rogue asks me. Kaze may not have taught me much, but I can figure this much out. I nod excitedly and attack him.

We're home! Cry Frosch and Seb, waking us up. Natsu has gotten everyone Chinese and looks directly at my abdomen as soon as he sees me. I smirk and blush at him. Oy. Dragon Slayers never have any privacy. "I'm going to be an uncle!" he says excitedly, putting his arm around me and leading me over to the food. "Now make sure the little one gets plenty to eat!"

Ultear's POV:
We finally arrive to get settled in for a while in our new place.

"I'm going to be an uncle!" Natsu says excitedly, leading Violet over to the food. "Now make sure the little one gets plenty to eat!" Why does he seem to be so nice to Violet? He treats me so differently.

After we eat dinnner, I notice that Sting takes Meredy's things and chooses her apartment for her, the one closes to his. That's a little possessive, and they aren't even dating yet. I think to myself. Next thing I know Natsu is doing the same thing with my things. "Oy, what do you think you are doing?" He sets my stuff down and turns to me. "I won't have you staying with Zeref. You are always putting yourself in danger." That again. "I am not some weak female that needs your protection. Just because everything comes easy for you, the great Salamander, you think you are so much better than me!" He scoffs at me. "Where do you get these ideas? I don't think you are weak." He says, walking towards me. "You are one of the strongest people I know." He wraps me in a hug and then lifts my face to his and looks me in the eye. "But I do think you are female." Teasing me again! It's like he is determined to expose my weakness. I break out of his grip and distance myself from him. "Fine, I'm too tired to fight you on this tonight. I'll stay here after I check with Violet and Zeref."

"Hmm. Okay then." He says and walks off, leaving me alone and confused. What kind of game is he playing with me? I sigh deeply to clear my head.

It's been a long day... I'll get ready for bed then ask Violet where Zeref is. I grab my pajamas and head down the hallway to wash up. I run headlong into a hard, bare chest. "Looking for me?" The owner of the chest says, hair still dripping from a shower. My heart starts pounding and I can't think of what to say. "You, you're staying here?" I stammer.

I hope I am not dragging out the story too long. I could have ended it sooner, but I like the romance too much! lol. Are you enjoying the romance or are you bored of it? Does it add to the story or take away from it? What about the make-out scenes? Too much, not enough... not age-appropriate? (I am an adult after all, lol)

I know I added in the Lucy thing when the story is supposed to be about Violet. I just like Lolu too much! <3 So who do you think Ultear will end up with? Ah well, I can't drag it out much longer. This story is about Violet, The Dark Dragon Slayer. Maybe I will write a sequel, what do you think? I also want to write a Death Note fan fic. - Tsubaki
