~Death is near. ~

I hated waking up like this. Like every bone of my body was cruelly detached and then reassembled in a completely different order. I wanted to open my eyes, to find out where I was. But the petrifying question was knocking out all of my willpower to do so. What will I be seeing?

"Alexia. Wake up." I slowly flustered my eyes, it was so brightly I had to blink so many times until my eyes finally adjusted to the brightness.

"Gabriella?" I jumped up from the sitting position.

"You're okay!" I ran at her coming in for a hug. Her arms didn't return the gesture. In fact, I just went through her.

"What the-"

"There isn't much time left, please save my child!" The girl cried, tears staining her cheeks.

"How many months are you in?" Her eyes darted above my head before she put them on me at last.

"Two." She deadpanned and I swallowed the boiling saliva in my mouth. I felt sick to my stomach, ready to empty everything I have eaten god knows however long ago.

"Gabriella, She..she won't live." I murmured feeling her eyes widen in understanding.

"YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!" Her face was red with anger, rage and sorrow.

"Who's the father?" I asked feeling

"It is..wait where's your helmet?"

I pushed hand to my head, my bare head. The invisibility helmet was gone. Gaia will find me, I needed to do something, NOW!

I looked to left noticing my body on the ground. There was a figure crouching in front of me. An invisibility crown right in the guarantees palms.
I couldn't see who it was, I tried walking around to see the face but the blonde girl was not giving me a second to do that.

"Wake up, Wake up!" Gabriella yelled pushing me away. I feel backwards hitting my head onto the wood. I fell back into my body.

I blinked slowly as my surroundings swarmed and melted. The light walls were replaced with the darkest shade of black.

I saw her brown eyes, claws extended from her fingertips she was smirking like she knew something I didn't.
"Oh Alexia, it must be hard to not be loved. We both know Alec is running here because of Gabriella. Not for you. Sadly you won't even witness that." Her claws plunged into my chest, right into the socket of my heart. I felt my beating heart in her cruel hand.

At this moment I realised that I am going to die.

Until a roar sounded. It was one that was too damn familiar.
The hellhound jumped out of a mini explosion and dived after Mrs Dark which fled the scene moments before.

The demon dog went into a predatory mode, chasing its prey down like cat and mouse.
I blinked slowly feeling the blood leak through my shirt. It hurt to move and even more it hurt to breathe, but I had to keep moving. If Mrs Dark was here, then so were her soldiers.

I rose to my feet, clenching my pulsing chest feeling like I was in a heatwave in the summer, but only right now it was winter with snow, ice and cold.

Hades materialised from a dusty black fog that came bursting from the ground. He scanned the area before his dark hooded eyes fell on my trembling form.

"Bastar-" My knees buckled beneath me. gravity pulling me down. Hands wrapped around my waist and my forehead collided with a very firm chest.

My body began shivering even more it was getting colder and colder and even colder. Boreas was close.

"I called for you, but you left me." I panted clumping my mouth shut whilst my teeth kept chattering against each other. His scent was entering my nostrils giving me a feeling of peace and calmness. I didn't know death could be peaceful?

"I never left you." Hades argued adjusting my body more comfortably so that he could support me more easily.
A feeling overtook me, like the one from before. This...this was not Hades. It was Eros in disguise.

"NO..NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!" I cried tearing myself away and thudding to the ground. My whole vision shook as if an earthquake happened nearby. No this was so much worse.

This fake Hades appeared confused but I knew better than to be the foolish one in this situation.
He took a step forward, but I lifted my hand up a small spark giving a sign of wakefulness.

"I'm not going to hurt you." He assured so I let the spark get brighter, it was making him uncomfortable.

"Alexia, I am NOT here to hurt you." I felt my blood start to boil, it was making me light-headed.

"First you turn into Ethan, then Alec, now Hades. I am beginning to learn from my mistakes." Weakness was slowly building in my body, it was spreading like a disease, consuming me whole.

Recognition passed his eyes, "You think I'm Eros?" I swallowed a gulp of saliva pushing it to the edge of my throat.
"Your power is draining you, let go before you surrender to its limits." Right on queue dizziness welcomed itself into my eyes. Everything was blurry and the outlines of the trees were staring to scare me.

"The real Hades doesn't give, only takes. I am not needed by him." The black outline appeared right in front of me causing me to leap backwards with a yelp.

His cold fingers laced around my wrist and brought closer.
It felt like a million of skeletons crawled inside my head and ripped my brains out all in one moment. Then the hold was released as if it has never even happened.

"Only a God of the Underworld has access to anyone's nightmares, Alexia. Only me." I slowly flustered my eyes open, it was difficult to see but I knew he was leaning over me as I felt his fresh breath right on my cheek.

"And I'm most definitely am not a skeleton." And then his cloak circled around my body until the surroundings faded. The white snow was replaced by the cob webs on the floor and the dark hallways.

"I am very disappointed with you today." His voice rang across the dark room but he wasn't in it. At least not where my eyes could see.

"Elaborate?" I rasped back, playing along with another one of his games. Hades didn't appear right away, it was like he transported through darkness.

"You lost my helmet." He examined his fingernails dropping the bomb onto my shoulders.

"It got taken." I stated back, annoyed.

"You assumed I was Eros." Taking a heavy inhale I pushed out a reply.

"I have the right to second guess your appearance, you've disappeared for days." Now it was his turn to grow frustrated.

"You attacked me." It got better.

"I didn't even land a hand on you."

"You're arguing right now." Hades pressed taking a step forwards, the stubbornness was written all over his face.

"Because all of your points are invalid." I answered crossing my arms over my chest who now stang a little. I was recovering already.

"You're in my Kingdom I decide what's valid and what's not. Now your arguments are invalid." Hades deadpanned right in my face.

"No they're not!" I yelled, a small smile forming to replace my frown.

"Oh yes they are. Invalid, every single one. Right?" Hades turned to the skeleton who somehow stood by the doorframe with a sword in his bony hands; a guard.

"Yes, Master. Invalid." That repeated showing decomposed teeth that resembled a full on smile.

"See? Even he agrees." Hades gestured to the troop with his index finger as if he just proved me a point. He wishes!

"He is your servant!" I lowered bring my hand into my nested hair, it didn't go unnoticed by Hades, his black eyes practically followed my every movement.

"Get ready, the maids will help you with that. Were leaving to the Olympian tower in less than two hours." The devil suddenly changed the subject, for a moment he just stared at me, like at a lost forgotten thing.

"What about the helmet?" I trailed, I had no idea whether Cerberus actually caught Mrs Dark or whether she managed to escape - that thing always lived till the end.

"Your scent will not get detected, you're just another servant, but if Gaia sees you.." He grew serious for a second.

"I'm very much screwed." I pursed my lips and left an exhale.

"No Alexia, you're dead." With that Hades exited leaving me in the hands of his skeleton maids.

A/N a very short chapter, but hey I've uploaded.
