chapter two

Inside the mansion, the interior was decorated with marble, granite, and other stones. It was amazing to see what the mansion looked like because neither of them had any idea the inside would be beautiful, and the outside was just ashy and cold. The trees that surrounded the mansion had died, and you could see them through the large, paned windows that you could look out on so you could admire the beauty of the trees, but they were unfortunately dead.

When they went into the living room, there was a secret door that led into a study. As they walked in, the study was rather large, with books on the shelves from top to bottom. Tyrant looked both at Raelynn and Dorian, then finally spoke.

"Well, to say the least, welcome to the Viele Dimension, my home. Well, I used to be home before my wife died and the islands died all together, leaving the dimension to ashes and wilted trees."

"You had a wife?" Dorian asks.

"Yes, of course I did. I loved her with all my life, but I could not save her, unlike you, Dorian, and another girl that I have met and who is kept safely here. Anyways, the point is that I saved you, Dorian, from death, and I didn't want you to die because you are my only son that I have."

Dorian looks at Raelynn, then back at his father. He had no idea what to say, but one thing made him curious, and those were the words he uttered: 'You are my only son that I have, and that made Dorian feel utterly weird all of a sudden.

"What do you mean I'm your only son?" he asks.

Tyrant sighs, awaiting this question.

"Dorian, you are my only son. I could not bear any son to any woman who I've had laid eyes on, and I was trying to bear a son so my legacy would continue, but that unfortunately failed when I had to abandon you for certain reasons."

"What certain reasons were those? I've never had a father in my life, and the only father figure I had was my foster uncle, Philip Madden, my mother's foster brother. Why, of all the reasons, did you abandon me? Because I was a burden?"

Tyrant looked at his son with love in his eyes and didn't know what to say. Well, he did know what to say, but it would hurt Dorian more when he found out that he was half-dinosaur and half-human. And that was the last thing he wanted to say to him because if Dorian found out that his father had some of the dino genes, he would have more of the dino gene than the human gene he had and would become a powerful dinosaur.

"I'm sorry, Dorian, but I can't tell you. But you are not a burden. You have never been a burden. I had to worry about me and the things that were going on."

"Well, tell me how I am alive."

"I don't think you should know."

"You think I shouldn't know? What type of person are you? I'm not allowed to know what was awaiting my death."

Tyrant immediately shot up from his chair and yelled at him, "Just shut up! I saved you from death, and that is final! If you desperately want to know why you died, here you go!!!"

Tyrant snapped his fingers, and Dorian disappeared for about five minutes. During those five minutes in the futuristic past that could have happened, Tyrant snapped his fingers again to bring back Dorian, who was crying, and Raelynn immediately comforted him.

"Dorian, what happened?" Raelynn asks with her arms around him.

"My father was right," he let out. "I shouldn't have known about my death."

Then once more, Tyrant snapped his fingers, and both Dorian and Raelynn appeared with their friends somewhere on Paradise Island, not in a dense forest that was eerily creepy with creatures. But as they stood somewhere unknown to them, Tyrant had a plan for them.

And this plan is associated with the creatures from the Triassic Forest.
