A spotlight shines on Cardin Winchester and Jaune Arc for dramatic effect while they duel each other as everyone watches.

Who the fuck is eating?

Ahem. Jaune is standing there out of breath while Cardin has his weapon on his shoulder and just laughs at Jaune in his condition. He then runs at Cardin shouting as he goes for an overhead slash but Cardin just dodges it and slams his mace into Jaune's shield which sends him flying.

Jaune gets back up and uses both hands to wield his sword and slams it down onto the handle of Cardin's weapon. His arms shake in effort to push Cardin back but he just laughs at Jaune again

Cardin: This is the part where you lose.

Jaune:*grunt* Over my dead-!

Cardin knees Jaune in the gut, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to drop his sword. Jaune falls to the floor clutching his stomach while Cardin stands over him and raises his weapon above his head to deliver the final blow.

A buzzer sounds and the lights turn on signaling the end of the match

Glynda: Cardin. That's enough.

Glynda Goodwitch walks in between the two and types on her data pad while Cardin places his weapon down. Two screens were showing images of Cardin and Jaune with bars underneath their pictures. Cardin's was full and green whereas Jaune's was low and red.

Glynda: Students as you can see, Mr.Arc's aura has gone into the red. In a tournament style duel, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle and that the tournament official may call the match.

Dante: God that match was so disappointing.

Obito: Well Jaune tried his best. And that's all that matters.

Dominic: No it isn't. No it fucking isn't Obito and you know it.

Obito: Well one of us has to be an optimist on this team of doom and gloom!

Glynda: Jaune, it's been weeks. Please try to refer to your scroll during combat. Gauging your aura will tell you when it is the appropriate time to attack or when it is time to move to a more... defensive strategy.

Dominic: He has a shield. I don't know how more defensive he can get.

Sapphire: Are we collectively thinking what we could have done if we were Jaune?

Dante: Pretty much.

Dominic: I'd kill myself if I was him.

Obito:*hits him* Dude!

Jaune:*sighs in defeat*

Glynda: We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf now would we?

Cardin: Speak for yourself.

Glynda: Remember everyone! The Vytal Festival is only but a few months away. It won't be long before students from other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing!

Dante: And we're gonna win it hands down.

Glynda: Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament, will be representing all of Vale.

The bell rings signalling the end of class. Everyone begins to leave the classroom on droves but Jaune sat there for a while and held his head down with a sigh. Pyrrha stood there watching her leader and a small frown fell on her face

Timeskip--

Nora: So...there we were. In the middle of the night...

Ren: It was day..

Nora was telling a story to everyone at the lunch table. Yang sat there enthralled by the story but Blake had her face in her book as Nora continued her story while Ren corrected her at points

Nora: We were surrounded by Ursai...

Ren: They were Beowolves.

Nora: DOZENS OF THEM!!

Ren: Two of 'em.

Everyone could notice Jaune was in a somber mood which took away people's attention from the story

Nora: But they were no match...and in the end, Ren and I took them down! And made a boat load of Lien from selling Ursa skin rugs!

Ren:*sighs* She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now.

Dante: At least it's more believable than Dominic's dreams. Oh! Tell them about the scarred man who could shoot lightning!

Sapphire: Or the walking tank that can roar.

Obito: What about the man that can control bees?

Dante: Or our favorite character...

All 3: The revolver spinning cat man!!

Dominic: Alright! They're not dreams! They're memories! I just... can't remember them.... except in my dreams.

Sapphire: I dunno. A snake man sounds made up to me.

Dominic: He's not a snake man! He's a man named Snake and he taught me karate!! And to sneak past people in a box!

Obito: Did he tell you where to find the leprechauns gold?

Yang: Pff!!

Dominic: You're just ignorant to my REAL experiences! The bee man was real! And he could do sick backflips and shoot bees from his mouth and wear bee armor!!

Weiss: Did this "bee man" have a name in your dreams??

Dominic: The Paint!

Dante: Are you sure it isn't The Pain?

Dominic: N-no? You know what? Fuck all y'all, I'm going home.

Dante: It burned down remember?

Dominic: I meant to the room jackass.

Dominic sits up and leaves but not before doing a sick backflip and giving Dante a double middle finger before he trips and falls on his back making people sitting in the lunchroom laugh at him

Dominic:*sigh*

Sapphire: Quick! Hide in the box!

Dominic just gets up and walks out of the lunchroom before suffering any more humiliation

Dante: Haha..ah..you can't make this stuff up man. It's great!*sigh* So Jaune you seem down. What's on your mind?

Jaune was scaping his fork across his plate not paying attention to the question

Obito:*throws a straw at him*

Jaune: Huh! Uh, yeah yeah I'm fine. Why?

Ruby: It's just you seem a little....not okay...

Jaune: Eh...guys I'm fine. Seriously, look!

Jaune shows everyone a fake smile followed by nervous laughter from him.

Laughter from Cardin pulls their attention and they see him and his team picking on a rabbit faunus who was sitting by herself

Sapphire:*sigh* Jaune he's been picking on you since day one of school.

Jaune: Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah...he just like to..mess around. You know? Practical jokes!

Ruby: He's a bully...

Obito: Yeah. People like him get under my skin!

Jaune: Oh please! Name one time he's "bullied" me.

Jaune smiles at his friends but it fades once Sapphire takes out a list from under the table and hands it over to Dante who grabs it and slides on a pair of reading glasses

Dante: Ahem! Well...

Dante lists out every single time Jaune has been bullied by Cardin. Starting off with Cardin knocking books out of Jaune's hands. Then he tells him how he made his shield suddenly pop open in a doorway. And he talks about the time Cardin shoved him into their rocket propelled lockers and shot him out of the school

Jaune: I didn't land far from the school...

Pyrrha: Jaune, you know if you ever need help you can just ask.

Nora: Ooh! We'll break his legs!!

Dante:*snaps* That's an idea I'm down for.

Sapphire: I'd have to agree.

Jaune:*stands* Guys, really, it's fine. Besides, it's not like he's a jerk to me; he's a jerk to everyone.

Everyone turns around and sees Cardin laughing while pulling on the rabbit ears of the faunus girl.

Obito stands up, about to give Cardin and his team what for but Dante stops him and pulls him back down to his seat

Obito: But-!

Dante: Sometimes it's better to just ignore stuff like this.

Blake: So if someone's in trouble you're just going to pretend they're not there? How noble..

Dante: Let me ask you all this; have any of you just given some money to a homeless person? Worked in a soup kitchen? No. And you know why? Because you say you'll do that crap but you just don't do it! Yeah, people like her are mistreated and it sucks! But I ain't gonna be the one to fight for them just because of that. Sometimes looking the other way and leaving people alone is what's best for them. That's been my experience anyway. You don't like it but it saves people from more pain. Or their loved ones from losing them...

Sapphire: Hm. There's a story here isn't there Dante? So...who is it? Who's the person you let down?

Dante: I don't like talking about it. She's dead and all I have left of her and two pieces of hot iron at my back.

Dante picks up his plate and leaves the table

Obito: Those two have some serious issues.

Dante: You don't know the half of it!

Timeskip--

Dante was scribbling down notes in his classroom when his name was called on the intercom. Confused but relieved he was able to get out of class for a few minutes, Dante left the class and walked to Ozpin's office.

Leaving the elevator, Dante walks into Ozpin's office and sees Dominic standing in front of Ozpin and Glynda

Dante: What's up?

Ozpin: Dante. Good. I have...a job for you two.

Dominic: A job?

Ozpin: Yes. You said you were in "business" mister Dante and I have a job for you to take.

Dante: Hm...no.

Glynda: No! You're denying money from us?

Dante: If it ain't upfront then it isn't important enough for us to care about.

Dominic: Is that why you never had running water at your shop? Because you've told us about how your shower would sometimes turn off mid soak.

Dante: What's your point?

Dominic:*scoffs* I'll take it. My idiot brother doesn't know how to handle money properly. He never did.

Dante: Hey!

Ozpin: Excellent. The details are in this folder.

Dominic takes the folder from the desk and flips through it

Dominic: It's that damn hybrid from the entrance exam!

Dante: What? It's back?

Dominic: Yes. Where did you get these pictures?

Glynda: We....sent three Huntsmen looking for it. After they sent us these images of it we...lost contact with them.

Dante: Then they're dead.

Ozpin: We don't know that for sure.

Dominic: Ozpin you know as well as we do that these men are dead.

Ozpin:*sigh* Yes...how foolish of me. Can I count on you two to take it down? For good.

Dante: I don't know that thing gave us trouble and we were an entire group last time we fought this thing.

Ozpin: We'll notify your teammates then and-

Dominic: No. They're not strong enough and their weapons do little against them. Just us two. And if one of us dies...so be it. We have no family to notify of our demise anyways.

Glynda: Do you not have friends?

Dante: He doesn't.

Dominic: Ey!

Ozpin: Well then wouldn't you want to come back to them?

Dominic: Ozpin with lives like ours, it's best not to associate with people. We'll be on our way now.

Glynda: No. Tomorrow.

Dante: But that's...the field trip to the Forest of Forever Fall.

Ozpin: Yes. It's been nesting there so that is where you will be able to sneak away and eliminate it.

Dominic: You're endangering everyone who goes there.

Ozpin: Then you'd better hurry and kill that monster.

Glynda: If all goes to plan and no one gets hurt, you'll receive your payment AND I'll remove a month off of your punishment mister Dominic.

Dominic:*snaps* You son of a bitch I'm in.

Ozpin: Excellent. You may leave now you two. Back to class.

The twins nod and leave Ozpin's office and make their way back to the school

Dante: You're depressing sometimes.

Dominic: I know.

Dante: You need to work on that.

Dominic: I refuse.

Dante: Worth a shot.

Timeskip--(Wow that's a lot of time skips)

Professor Goodwitch led her class through the bright red Forest of Forever Fall explaining the assignment

Glynda: Students. The Forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful but we're not here to sight see.

Ruby gazes at her surroundings in awe. She spun around looking at the red leaf trees and Obito couldn't help but watch her. A smile spread across his face and he was blushing slightly but his gawking was cut short by Dante elbowing him and giving him a wink

Obito: Uh-! I wasn't-!

Dante: Ah young love~ So sweet and pure~

Obito: Shh!! Don't tell the whole forest!

Dante: Ah I won't tell. Your secrets safe with me man.

Obito: Phew..! Thanks Dante.

Glynda: Each of you is to collect one jars worth of red sap from these trees. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm among other things, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!

Dominic taps Dante on the arm and motions over to Glynda and he nods to him

Dante: Hey Obito, I'm gonna buddy up with Dom for this one.

Obito: O-oh...I thought you and I could....yeah that's cool. He's your brother and...cool.

Dante: Thanks Obito. See ya!

Dante goes off with Dominic leaving Obito by himself. He sighs and looks at himself in the reflection of his jar

Sapphire: So what, am I not fun enough to hang out with?

Obito: Gah! Sapphire! N-no you're cool! No pun intended! It's just... Dante is like kinda my best friend and I...never had a best friend before.

Sapphire: Oh I see. Well maybe next time then.

Obito: Yeah...next time.

Sapphire: By the way, what the hell was that yesterday with Dante? That whole tirade on not helping everyone.

Obito: I dunno man let's just get the stupid sap..

Obito somberly walks out of frame

Sapphire: I swear these people are so damn weird.*sigh* Whatever.

The twins walk up to Glynda and set their jars down on the floor

Dante: Okay we're off.

Glynda: Excellent. Just make sure you aren't seen. And please be safe children. I don't know what I would do if either of you had died.

Dominic: This isn't my first hunt Glynda. And it certainly won't be the last. Let's be off Dante.

Dante:*salutes* Don't wait up teach.

They leave from the rest of the group and move deeper into the forest. Time passes and the twins took a break from searching for the demon hybrid and sat down on a fallen tree trunk

Dante:*exhales* So..you think I got a shot with Blondie?

Dominic: Hell no. Try the one with the ribbon in her hair.

Dante: Really? I was sure she was your type.

Dominic: Ehh she seems nice but I'm not looking for a relationship right now. It'll impede on my work.

Dante: So you're all business no pleasure.

Dominic: Killing scum like the one we're hunting for is my pleasure.

Dante: That's sad.

Dominic: Oh yes because you have women practically throwing themselves at you Dante.

Dante: Well maybe it's because you're scaring them off!

A thought plays in Dominic's head where a girl walks up to Dante to give him a love letter but Dominic gets in between them and starts barking and growling at her like a dog

Dominic: Hmm...

Dante: Hey, keep this between us but Obito seems to have a thing for red.

Dominic: Ruby? Psh! She can do better.

Dante: Ohoho ouch!

Dominic smirks and leans back on the log they were sitting on

Dante: Well! We should get a move on. It's almost four and we still haven't found that thing.

Dominic: Right.

They stand up and resume walking through the forest in search for the demon hybrid. Little did they know, the hybrid was watching them from the shadows.

Obito:*wipes sweat from his forehead* Phew! It's hot!

Sapphire: Well maybe you should unzip that jacket. It's almost summer.

Obito: Yeah you're right. Hey, you seen Dom and Dante anywhere?

Sapphire: Yeah they left about half an hour ago.

Obito: Left! What do you mean left!

Sapphire: They went to the teacher, dropped off their jars, and left.

Obito: And you neglected to tell me this now?!

Sapphire: I was enjoying our quality time together as friends.

Obito: E....are you serious?

Sapphire: Yes. We should probably find them, they might be dead.

Obito: Hope not!!

Back with the twins, Dominic was on his knees being choked out by the hybrid demon. It roars and unhooks its jaw and moves in closer to him but Dante jumps into its back and puts it in a headlock

Dante: I got it!! Go! Go!

Dominic:*coughs* Dammit!

Dante holds on tightly as the demon thrashes around in attempt to throw Dante off of its back

Dominic: Hold it still!

Dante: I'm trying!

Dominic grabs Yamato from the ground and charges at the demon. Dante sees what his brother was doing and shook his head as he knew exactly what he was about to do

Dante: WAIT NOO!!

Dominic runs his sword through the demon AND Dante and pins them to a tree

Dante: GUAH!! You asshole!!

Dominic: Kill it you fool!

Dante screams and snaps the demons neck and it melts into black paste that drips to the floor

Dante:*pants* There! Now get me down!

Dominic: Stop whining Dante you'll heal.

Dante: It still hurts being stabbed!!

Dominic pulls Yamato out of Dante and the tree and wipes the blood from it and sheathes it on his side

Dominic: You know, that was almost too easy.

Dante: What do you mean?

Dominic: Well last time it summoned demons and Grimm alike. But this time it just attacked us like a wild animal.

Dante: So what? You're saying there could be two of them?

Dominic: Maybe. Or...this was just a decoy.

Dante: For what?

A thick mist crept underneath the twins and the hybrid demon floated from underneath with its arms crossed

Grimm Necromancer: Death...is the only escape...

The Grimm Necromancer spread its arms out and multiple Grimm and demon rose from the soil surrounding the twins

Dominic: That...

Dante: Oh great!

Grimm Necromancer: I cut a piece of myself and gave it life but without thought. And used it to tire you two until I could kill you! Vengeance! For my fallen brethren.

Dominic: You got away last time. A mistake I will not repeat again.

The Grimm Necromancer roars and flies at the twins joined by the Grimm and demons it summoned

Back with the rest of the students, a roar grabs everyone's attention

Ruby: Did you hear that?

Team CRDL, minus Cardin, run into the group of students with Russel screaming about an Ursa and bumping into Yang who holds him up by his shirt

Yang: An Ursa! Where!

Russel: B-back there! It's got Cardin!

Pyrrha drops the jar of sap she had in her hand upon realization of what Russel said

Pyrrha: Jaune!

Ruby: Yang! You and Blake go get Professor Goodwitch!

Yang drops Russel and her and Blake run off to find Goodwitch

Pyrrha: You two, go with them! There may be more!

Ren and Nora nod and follow Yang and Blake

Sapphire: Come on!

Obito: Yeah!

Sapphire and Obito follow Pyrrha, Ruby and Weiss to where the roars were coming from

Cardin was trying to flee from the Ursa chasing him but it lunges at him and knocked him to the ground. Cardin curses as he tries to crawl away from the Grimm but it stomps over towards him and tries to slash him with its razor sharp claws only for Jaune to jump in front of him and block the strike with his shield

Jaune could barely hold back the strength of the Ursa and Weiss takes notice of this and tries to go in to assist him but Pyrrha stops her and they watch as Jaune slashes the torso of the Ursa and roll to the side from one of its slashes

He then jumps over a swing from the beast but it strikes him with a punch from its other arm but that doesn't stop him and he runs into a jumping slash that the Grimm dodges and hits Jaune in the back which sends him flying across the ground.

Jaune gets back up and runs at the Ursa which charges at him. The world starts to slow down as Pyrrha raises her hand and it glows a black aura. That same aura glows around Jaune's shield and it raises above his head and blocks the massive hand of the Ursa. Jaune uses this opportunity to slice the head off the Ursa, killing it.

Pyrrha lowers her hand and smiles while Ruby looks at her in confusion

Ruby: Uh, what?

Weiss: How did you..?

Pyrrha: Well, Ruby has her speed, you have your glyphs, my semblance is polarity.

Ruby: Ah, you can control poles.

Obito: Uh, Ruby? It means she can control magnets.

Sapphire: He means magnetism. Basically anything metal, she can manipulate with her mind. Like what she did with Jaune's shield. I gotta say, that was some quick thinking.

Pyrrha:*smile* Thank you.

Pyrrha turns around to leave

Weiss: Wait! Where are you going!

Ruby: Yeah, we gotta tell them what happened!

Pyrrha: We could, or..we could keep this as our little secret.

Jaune sheathes his weapon and goes over to Cardin and extends his hand down to him which he shamefully accepts.

Cardin: Holy crap, Jaune?

Jaune: Don't ever mess with my team, my...friends, ever again. Got it?

Cardin does say anything but looks to the side which was all Jaune needed and left him to stand alone

Sapphire: Kids starting to get tough. Good.

Obito: Uh Sapphire. We still don't know where our teammates are!

Ruby: What?

Sapphire: Dominic and Dante left a while ago and now we're trying to look for them.

Weiss: What! How long ago was this!?

Sapphire: I dunno half an hour? What's the big deal? They'll be fine.

Dominic: AAAAAAH!!

Obito: That doesn't sound like they're fine! Come on!

Obito runs deeper into the forest with Sapphire, Ruby and Weiss following close behind

Dominic was sent flying and hits a tree and falls to the grass. He shakes his head and opens his eyes and sees a satyr Grimm charging towards him, causing the young devil hunter to jump over it and watch as it rams into the tree, knocking it over.

Landing on his feet, Dominic pants heavily from exhaustion. An empowered Ursa appears behind him and swipes its claws across his back making him scream in agony. Dominic turns around and punches the Grimm back a few feet from him and summons two swords into his hands and charges at the Ursa

Dante fought off a pack of Beowolves by himself, firing a barrage of bullets at the group turning a few of them into mincemeat. He backflips over one trying to strike him from behind and spun in the air raining bullets from above

Dante: Woohoo!!

Dominic backflips over a demon trying to slice him from behind

Dominic: This is getting annoying!

Dante: Then do that thing you did back then!

Dominic: I'm not very good at just doing it on command Dante!

Dante: Haven't you been practicing! Isn't that why you've been disappearing every night!

Dante spun around and leaps into the air and axe kicks a bat demon in half

Dominic: No! And I'll thank you not to assume these things!

Dante: Hah! Then what the hell are you doing every night!?

Dominic: That's a need to know topic! And you don't need to know!

Dante: Just tell me man! Is it a girl you're seeing! A guy! Dude I don't judge! Love whoever you want to man! I support you!

Dominic: I'm not gay you dumb, ugly sack of shi-!

The Grimm Necromancer appears beside Dominic and stabs its arm right though Dominic

Obito: NO!!

Obito runs past Dante and throws a kunai at the hybrid but it uses Dominic as a shield

Dominic: Gah!! I'm already hurt! Stop hurting me more!!

Grimm Necromancer: Huh? You're not in agony? How?

Dominic: I'd say something edgy but I've had a long day. So fuck you!

A sword appears behind the Necromancer and flies into it's back making it scream in pain giving Dominic the chance to free himself from its arm

Obito: Dom!

Sapphire: My gods what happened to you two!

Dante: Argh we'll explain later! Right now we have to kill that thing!

Weiss: That's the Grimm from the entrance exam! It's still alive?!

Dante: Yeah! We gotta kill it here and now!

Ruby: But our weapons barely did anything last time!

Sapphire: Then what we need to do is trap it. And I've got a plan.

Dante: What is it?

Sapphire: Come here.

Dominic punches the Necromancer away from him and Obito

Obito: Gods! Dom you have a hole in your chest!

Dominic: I've noticed!!

Ruby sped over to the boys and started panicking over Dominic's chest hole

Ruby: Aaah! Dom don't die! Don't die!!

Dominic: I'm not gonna die! Christ it's like you've never seen a man with a hole in his chest before! Amateurs! Can one of you find my sword? I dropped it somewhere!

Ruby: On it!

Ruby sped off to find the Yamato

Obito: Uh, so...how are things?

Dominic: I have a hole in my chest.

Sapphire: Hey guys! We got a plan! Just keep it distracted for a second!

Dominic: Easy enough.

Dominic runs back towards the Grimm Necromancer shouting at it. The Grimm Necromancer flies at Dominic and the two crash into each other and the two lock hands and struggle to overpower the other

Dominic leans back and smashes his forehead into the Grimm's skull, cracking it and disorienting it

Dominic: Do it now!!

Sapphire stabs his weapon into the floor and the red grass turns as black as night and tendrils shoot out of the ground and grab each and every demon and Grimm in the area, holding them in place. The Necromancer shook it's head and sees what was happening and flies up over the trees

Dante: Yo Dom! I need a boost!

Dominic locks his hands together and holds them down for Dante to use as a footstool and for Dominic to throw Dante into the sky above the Grimm Necromancer.

The Grimm looks up and watches in shock as Dante free falls down towards it with his sword Rebellion above his head

Dante: HAAAAA!!!

Grimm Necromancer: AAAAAAH!!

Dante: AAAAAAAA!!

Grimm Necromancer: AAAAAAAA!!

Dante: AAAAHH!

Grimm Necromancer: AAAAHH!!

Dante: HIYA!!

Dante bisects the Grimm in two and he lands on his feet smirking as the Grimm turns into dust and with its death, comes the death of all the enemies it brought to life

Sapphire: Huh. That was easy.

Dante: You say that like you weren't the ones fighting that army!

Obito: Yeah, about that; the hell were you guys doing here!?

Ruby: Found it!

Ruby appears next to Dominic and holds out Yamato smiling

Dominic: Ah you found it! Thank you Ruby.

He takes his weapon and gives Ruby a headpat which she seemed to enjoy a lot

Obito:*glare*

Sapphire: Uh...Obito?

Obito: Huh? Oh! Yeah! Answers! Now!

Dante:*sigh* Well, Ozpin wanted us to kill that thing considering we-

Obito: Hunt demons, yeah we know that much about ya. But why didn't you tell us?

Dominic: So you wouldn't try to stop us or join us and possibly die. You're all only human. We're more than that.

Weiss: So you're faunus then.

Dante: Something like that. Let's bounce before anything else shows up. My feet are killing me!

Dominic: Yes! I couldn't agree more with you brother!

Obito: Wait! You're injured remember!

Dominic: What are you talking about? I'm fine. See?

Dominic shows that he had no wound, even his clothes showed no sign of damage

Obito: O-oh... I guess it was just my imagination then..

Dominic: Yeah. The heat of the moment must have tricked your minds. Let's be off.

Dante: Yeah!

The twins leave as well does Weiss who follows after them. Obito begins to walk away but Sapphire stops him and Ruby

Sapphire: You don't believe that crap do you Obito?

Obito: Heck no! He had a friggin hold in his gut! I saw it! Ruby did too!

Ruby: Guys it's probably just a part of his semblance.

Sapphire: So the the swords and incredible speed and bright light is also his semblance?

Ruby: Yes...?

Sapphire: Ruby those two are dangerous fellows and you should tell the rest of your team to be wary of them. I don't know but I've just got this feeling about them. Especially Dominic. It's evil.

Ruby: What? You guys are being crazy! Sure they're weird and...they have weird semblances but they're not gonna hurt us guys. C'mon!

Ruby leaves Sapphire and Obito dumbfounded with her naivety

Sapphire: Listen, if you really do like her. Try to protect her from them. They're bad news.

Obito leaves and Sapphire eventually follows them back to the group

Back at Beacon in the late hours, Dominic exits his team dorm and walks down the hall and stops when a door opens and Ruby steps out in her pajamas

Ruby: Oh, hey Dom! I was wondering who kept sneaking around at night.

Dominic: Evening Ruby. I'm just leaving for a bit.

Ruby: This late? Kinda suspicious don't you think?

Dominic: It's nothing I'm just going into Vale to visit a friend of mine.

Ruby: Oh. Okay. Cool...hey Dom?

Dominic: Yes?

Ruby: You're not...bad are you?

Dominic: Bad?

Ruby: Well Sapphire has been saying things about you and Dante and how you're probably bad guys. I know it sounds dumb but-

Dominic: Ruby. You have nothing to worry about, Dante and I are good men. We're just...a little different than most people. Okay?

Ruby: Hehe, you could say that again.

Dominic: Haha yes yes. Well, goodnight Ruby. I shall see you in class tomorrow.

Ruby: Night!

Ruby enters her room and closes the door behind her

Dominic continues walking down the hallway and his smile falls into his signature frown

Dominic: It seems someone is getting curious. No matter. Soon, everything I've done will give me what I've longed for.

The moon shines through the windows of the school. A star twinkles in the sky as a shadow looms over Vale. Something is coming. And it's coming very soon.
