The students land in multiple sections of the forest for their final test: make it to the ruins and pick up an artifact. You will find partners whom will be your future teammates. And survive.

Dominic looks around the forest. The sounds of nature puts him at ease.

Dominic: Hm. Absolutely beautiful.

His eyes wander through the treeline until his eyes catch a large shadow hiding between the bushes

Dominic: Almost beautiful...

Letting out an annoyed sigh through his nostrils and his hand made it's way to his sword, slowly unsheathing it until the beast revealed itself to be a Beowolf to which he sheathed his sword back into its sheathe

Dominic: How boring....

The creature of darkness rushes at the son of Sparda attempting to ram into him but a simple thrust of his hand stopped the Beowolf from doing so. It thrashed around trying to get free from his grip but the strength of Dominic's grip was keeping it in place

Dominic: You creatures. You are mere specks of dust to the true monsters lurking in the dark. You aren't even worth acknowledging as an entity.

A loud sound of a neck breaking along with the final howl of the Grimm echoes and the Grimm dissolves into dust

Dominic: Scum.

He dusts his hands clean of the remains of his kill and walks off to find his objective in the hopes he will get someone other than a certain trio of idiots

Swinging off of a branch and landing to his feet, Dante exhales and scans the area for signs of life but to no avail

Dante: Why couldn't this have been a written test? At least I'd die of boredom.

Turning around, Dante bumps into the chest of an Ursa to which it growls at him

Dante: Hey papa bear. You wouldn't have seen Goldilocks around here haven't you?

The towering Grimm swipes it's paw at Dante but the cocky red clad loner ducks under it

Dante: Guess not.*scoff*

He reels his fist back and delivers a powerful uppercut to the beasts stomach. With another flurry of punches Dante shouts as each hit brought the Ursa higher and higher into the air until it was above Dante's head

Dante: Hrrrr--EYAAH!!

Dante shot up with a powerful uppercut that sent the Grimm flying into the clouds

Dante:*looking up* Damn. Think I overdid it.

He waits a few seconds for the Grimm to come back down but surprisingly it never did

Dante: I-I did not hit it into space did I? Fuck. Guess I better get a move on.

Dante walks into the forest but every now and then he checks above him for the image of an Ursa free falling in the sky

Running and swinging across the forest, Obito rolls through the dirt and continues running through the forest in search of teammates and the objective

Obito:*panting* Man..! Why is--is it so hard to find one of these things! I'd have better luck reaching for the top shelf!

The young ninja takes a second to catch his breath before looking around

Obito: Okay. There's gotta be one of those relics around here. I just need to find one out there. Hmm...I don't know if I'll be able to see it even if I go above the treeline.

Obito looks through the treeline for anything out of the ordinary and too his surprise he saw a grey structure in the distance which gave him a good feeling in his chest and gave him the drive the run through the forest at full sprint ignoring the thought of any Grimm that could be in the area

Taking a leap over a shrub, Obito makes it to a group of ruins and spots a black knight chess piece on a pedestal

Obito: Looks like I'm the only one who made it.

He grabs the chess piece and puts it in the pouch on his waist

Obito: Now I just need to find a partner and avoid the color blue. Easy enough. Then I can get a good team.

Suddenly an adolescent Beowolf pounced at Obito from the bushes and narrowly misses swiping his head off his shoulders and only managing to hit his goggles off his face

Obito: Oh! Sh-shit!

Tripping over himself and falling onto his back, Obito backs up from the attacking Beowolf and it's claws. It digs it's razor like appendages into the ground as it tries to take a bite out of the young ninja

Obito: Ah!

The beast swipes it's claws at Obito again but he was quick and grabbed it by it's wrists and uses his feet to push the Grimm off of him

It thrashed around the dirt trying to stand up but Obito wouldn't let it as he jumped into the Grimm and started stabbing it repeatedly with a kunai.

Obito: AH! AH! AH! AH! AAAAHH!!

As his screams echo through the trees, the beast dies and disinterestes into dust particles that get swept up in the wind. Obito took a minute to catch his breath once more before sliding away his weapon and going to his goggles

Obito:*clicks tongue* Man. How'd that one get the jump on me? Maybe it's because it was a half pint?

He cleans the dirt off the lense of his goggles and slides them back on his face

Obito: But if it's a kid...then where's--

A shadow towers over Obito and he turns to look behind him and see a very large Alpha Beowolf standing above him

Obito: Daddy...

The weight of fear growing in his chest was enough to freeze Obito in his tracks. His mind raced with thoughts of escape but his body would not respond to his thoughts.

Obito: H-*gulp*-he-he--help..

It's crimson red eyes glowed with anger as it looked at Obito. It knew he had killed his kin and it wanted to taste his flesh in between his teeth. Raising it's hand, it extended it's claws and swiped at Obito whom closed his eyes ready to accept his death. But it never came.

The loud sound that came before the final blow that would end Obito's story came with the sound of howls of pain that came from the Grimm as it held its arm as blood shot out from the stump where its hand had been

Obito: H--huh?

Obito turned his head towards the sounds of a pair of feet walking towards him

???:*long sigh*

Dominic: My disappointment is immeasurable. And now my whole day is ruined...

Obito looked at Dominic, still shaking in fear from the Beowolf that nearly killed him

Dominic: If you are going to stand there like a deer in headlights, then close your mouth before a fly goes in it.

Obito watches Dominic casually walk up to the Grimm and his expression changes to one of shock as he watches him taunt the monster

Dominic: Come on~ You still have one good hand.

He dodges the swiping hand of the Grimm and goes back to taunting it as if nothing had happened

Dominic: I can't believe you are considered an alpha.

Again he dodges another flurry of claw swipes from the Grimm. He slaps away the Beowolf's arm and quickdraws his sword upwards splitting the beast in two

Dominic: How boring..

The Grimm's corpse drops to the floor as Dominic sheathes his katana in its sheathe. Obito was still processing what happened as Dominic started to head north

Obito: He-hey!!

Obito ran after Dominic and bumps into him when he stops dead in his tracks

Obito: Oof! Hey! We have to work together!

Dominic: You froze in fear of a mere Grimm and yet you want to become a hero. Heroes fight monsters. These Grimm are nothing but bugs to the real monsters of this world and they'll eat you up like a snack cake.

Obito: Don't look down on me just because I froze up! I can still fight Grimm and I proved I could fight you!

Dominic grabs Obito by the collar of his jacket and lifts him up to eye level glaring daggers at him

Dominic: Listen here you little wretch! I dispise you and every little weakling in this damn forest! It's bad enough I have you for a partner but if I have to babysit you for the entire day I will kill you here and now! You are nothing but a weak link that I will sever if I have to! Do I make myself clear?

Obito was thrown into the ground and was left in the dirt by Dominic who walks away towards the objective

Obito:*sighs and dusts himself* Asshole.

Dominic halts himself and turns his head slightly but just sighs and shook his head and continued on to the meeting point

Dominic: Dante you better have someone with a brain for a teammate. Or I'm gonna kill you and them.

Over off in another part of the forest, Sapphire stepped through a field of tall grass and in the middle of it was a temple ruin that was overgrown with grass. He spots a pedestal surround by rubble and runs to it but stops and takes a view of his surroundings

The wind quicky shifts and the grass moves with the sounds of chittering following it. Pulling out his weapon and forming a blade made of shadows

A shadow flies at him screeching and in a lightning quick movement, Sapphire cuts his attacker in half

The two halves fly into the grass a few feet away from him. Sapphire steps carefully towards where the pieces fell. Slowly pulling apart the grass, Sapphire was shocked not to see a Grimm but a creature he's not seen before

Sapphire: What the fuck...

He touches the skin of the monster he killed and reeled his hand back when it started to disintegrate into dust and blood

Sapphire: Was that a demon?

Multiple chittering sounds sound out as more of those monsters pop out of the grass and surrounded Sapphire

Sapphire: Whatever you freaks are. You better give me more of a challenge than your friend.

He spins his sword around, morphing the form of the blade as it rotates in his hand and transforms into a long machete

The roar of the monsters did nothing to deter Sapphire from standing his ground. One rushed at him with an overhead claw swipe but it was slow for Sapphire and he dodged it and cut off it's arm from the elbow down

Sapphire: Too slow!

He spins around, slicing the monster into thin pieces. Posing into a battle stance, Sapphire does an underhand swing and sends spikes across the ground skewering two of the monsters

Sapphire: I'll gouge you.

Thrusting his sword forward, the blade extends further than the length of a spear and pierces through both of the monsters killing them instantly

Sapphire: Hm.

The last monster chittered and Sapphire took notice of green bile excreting from it's mouth.

Sapphire: Ah crap.

He dodges a ball of acid shot by the monster

Sapphire: Acid. Great. Just great.

The monster shrieks and charges at him. Sapphire jumps to the side dodging it and slicing off one of its legs making it scream in pain

It rears its head back and turns around to charge at Sapphire and furiously swipes left and right with its claws but it lost its footing, thanks to losing a whole leg, which gave Sapphire the perfect opening to slice off a chunk of its head and killing it.

Sapphire:*sigh*

A slight pinch in his arm makes him wince and he looks and sees a cut on his arm from one of the monsters claws

Sapphire: Dammit. It stings but it's not deep enough to hurt too much.

A small green glint in the grass catches Sapphires eye and he knelt down and picked it up and sees it's a green orb. He analysis it closely before it starts to crack and then shatter into pieces. A green aura shrouds over his body for a few seconds before fading out

Sapphire: Huh.

He noticed his arm didn't have any pain spikes in it and he looks at the cut in his arm and was surprised to see it wasn't there anymore. He puts it together that the green ball he picked up healed him.

Sapphire:*nod* Okay. Weirder things have happened.

Suddenly the ashes of the slain monsters begin to swirl around the area and form a giant multi armed insect demon.

Sapphire: Oh good now you're even uglier.

He takes a battle stance against the massive creature. Every step it took shook the ground a little

Sapphire: Come on..show me what you got.

A gunshot rang out and a bullet hit the towering demon in the side getting it and Sapphire's attention.

(I know I'm using a lot of images but it gets tiring explaining in detail what everyone does)

Dante: Well well. Seems like you found the queen. Looks like I'm gonna need some bigger boots!

Dante steps from side to side before kicking the air while shouting and posing in an exaggerated kung fu pose

Dante: WAAH~!

Sapphire:*facepalm*

It takes the demon a few seconds to get over the confusion Dante invoked in it and it attacked Dante.

The devil hunter leaped into the air and fired a barrage of bullets at the demons face, blinding it and making it crash into the trees

Dante: Alrighty then. Let's rock!

Drawing the Rebellion from his back, Dante rushes into action at the demon. Sapphire formed his weapon into a bow and pulled back on the drawstring and aimed into the air

Sapphire: Dante!

He released the arrow into the air. As it soars, Dante watches it descent and he takes aim at it. With pinpoint accuracy he shoots the arrow, causing it to explode into multiple arrows that rain down on the back of the demon.

Dante: Oh yeah!

Dante leaps into the air and lands on the back of the demon and drives the Rebellion into its spine. It shrieks in pain sending ground breaking shockwaves in its path. He runs along its back dragging his sword through its flesh until he reaches the base of its neck and he jumps off with his sword in hand and he slices the face of the demon in two but it still had lived through this.

Dante: Sapphire! Throw me an arrow!

Sapphire: I think I know what you're planning here!!

Sapphire draws another arrow and fires it but with a tether attached to it. Dante catches the arrow and ties it around Rebellion. He throws his sword as hard as he could and it landed next to Sapphire. Dante them runs under the demon unloading multiple rounds into its chest and gut.

Dante made it back to Sapphire and grabbed his sword from the ground and pulled on the tether with all his might. The demon roars as it tries to pull Dante and Sapphire in a barbaric game of tug of war.

Dante:*grunt* You mind if I take the wheel!

Sapphire: Be..my guest!

Sapphire hands Dante his weapon and he dug his feet in and pulled on the tether with his full strength. The rope that was wrapped around the demons face began to dig deeper into the wound and split it apart. With one final pull Dante had bisected the demon into two pieces. Blood and gore spilt on the grass but it fizzled away into dust and smoke

Sapphire: Well that's convenient.

Dante: Yeah that's the one good thing about demons. They never leave a mess on your floor.

He hands Sapphire his weapon and the two make their way to the ruin and pick up a black rook chess piece

Sapphire: Well that was fun.

Dante: Damn straight. You know, I've never seen that happen before.

Sapphire: Well there's a first time for everything.

Dante: You think that was the thing Ozpin told us about?

Sapphire: No because it wasn't Grimm. But I think there's something more dangerous in this forest other than Grimm.

Dante: Well then that means it gonna be one hell of a party. All we need are the drinks, the babes and the bros. Speaking of which. Gotta find jackass before he kills someone. Or bores them to death with poetry facts.

Sapphire: I think I'd rather fight that thing with both hands tied behind my back.

Dante: Don't even get me started on the list of things I wanted to do to get out of hearing him talk.

Sapphire actually laughs at Dante's comment and the two venture off towards the meeting place Ozpin gave everyone to go to once they aquire their relics.

Obito kept his pace behind Dominic, kicking a few rocks as they walk through the forest.

Obito: So...you got any other family?

Dominic: Of course I do you idiot. Everyone has a mother and father.

Obito: I'm just trying to make conversation with you. Why do you always have to be a hard ass?

Dominic: See that's the problem I have with you. You "try". Stop "trying" to be my friend because if I were to have it my way, I wouldn't be on a team with a child who can't even get on a rollercoaster!

Obito: Fuck you man! I was tryna be nice to you because you probably don't have a lot of friends!

Dominic: Why would I need friends if I have myself and my thoughts?

Obito: Wow, now I know you didn't develop correctly as a kid. You know, having friends makes you develop better social skills with people.

Dominic: That is why I don't talk to people I kill them. Got it?

Obito scoffs and stepped past Dominic shaking his head at him as he continued forward

Dominic: I swear, the people who interact with me are idiots. God? Do you see what I have to deal with? No answer? Of course not. Asshole.

Both of them make it to a massive clearing with a group of ruins and in the middle was another relic on a pedestal

Obito: Guess nobody else made it yet

???:*whistle* Hey!

Dominic: Oh no.

Dominic turns his head around but Obito looks to where the whistling came from and he spots Dante with Sapphire waving his hands to get their attention

Obito: It's Dante!

Dominic: Don't make eye contact!

Obito: What? This is great! We can have a full team!

Dominic: Fuck that turn your head!

Obito: What kind of brother doesn't want to be on the same team with his sibling?

Dominic: Any sibling!! Now turn your head Obito I bet of you!!

Dante: Hey! Looks like the party hasn't started yet?

Obito: No but I think it's about to when you're here Dante.

Dante: Ah see? Teammate material. Always hyping up your teammates.

Sapphire: Oh yes I'm filled with such enthusiasm right now Dante. I totally don't want to be in a warm bed right now.

Dominic: It's noon.

Sapphire: Your point?

Dominic's thumb slowly inches towards the cross guard of the Yamato at his side and Sapphire slowly started to reach beside him for his weapon but the arrival of Yang and Blake stopped them from attacking each other

Yang: Finally!

Yang grabs a knight piece from the pedestal and turns to Blake smiling

Yang: How about a cute little pony?

Blake:*smile* Sure. Whatever.

Yang: That wasn't so hard!

Dominic: You could see it from the air how exactly was this hard?

Yang turns to Dominic glaring at him and turns back to Blake smiling

Blake: He's sort of right. This place isn't exactly hard to find.

Their conversation gets cut by the sound of a girl screaming at the top of their lungs

Dante: Oh no! A damsel in distress! Quick somebody call a hero!

Sapphire: Or someone who gives a shit.

Obito: Um guys.

Dominic:*rubbing his ear* Maybe they should send a text next time.

Obito: Guys!!

The trio looks at Obito and he points up in the sky to Ruby free falling towards them

Ruby: HEADS UUUUP!!

Obito: I got her! I got her!

Obito holds out his hands and strafes from side to side in an attempt to catch Ruby in his arms. Closer and closer she came towards the ground when she was suddenly suspended in the air

Obito: Huh?

Yang: Ruby! Are you okay?!

Ruby: Y-yeah Yang! I'm fine! A little freaked out though!!

Dominic: Stop squirming.

Dominic had his hand pointed at Ruby and he directed it towards the ground where Ruby was softly placed down in the grass

Ruby: Whoa!

Yang: You can levitate people with your mind!

Dominic: Yeah you wanna see what else I can lift?🖕

Yang: Oh you mother fu-

The same shrill girly scream boomed from the trees and something comes flying out of them and slams into a tree nearby Yang and Blake and everyone sees Jaune Arc with his hoodie impaled on the tree by a spear

Jaune: Hey guys....just..dropping bye~ Little help?

Dante pulls the spear out of the tree and Jaune falls to the ground flat on his face

Jaune: Thank you...

Obito: Okay..! So Ruby fell out of the sky and he got pinned to a tree. Anyone else gonna make a grand entrance here today?

His sarcasm was met with Nora coming in riding on an Ursa like a wild bull

Nora: YEEEE-HAAW!!

Sapphire:*amused whistle* Girl knows how to ride.

Nora grabs her grenade launcher from her back and it transforms into a massive hammer that she smashes on the head of the Ursa, killing it

Nora: Aww man! It's broken!

Her partner Ren, whom she had been having a loud conversation with in the morning, came running up behind her and stopped to finally catch a breath

Ren:*pant* Nora...*pant* don't..*pant* don't ever do that again..*groan*

He looks back up to see Nora gone and finds her at the ruins and grabs a rook piece and places it on her head

Nora: I'm queen of the castle~! I'm queen of the castle~!

Dominic: You just HAD to say something didn't you?

Obito: Okay I get it! At least we're all done with dramatic entrances right?

Yet again his sarcasm was answered with Pyrrha running out of the forest shooting something behind her.

Pyrrha: Jaune!

Jaune: Pyrrha!

Dominic: Y-

Obito: Shut...shut the fuck up.

Yang: Ruby!

Ruby: Yang!

The two sisters run up to embrace each other but Nora somehow come into existence between them

Nora: Nora!!

Ren: Nora!

Pyrrha continues sprinting towards the group and they watch as a Death Stalker smashes through the treeline and chases Pyrrha.

Dominic:*smirking at Obito*

Obito: I swear to God if you say another fucking word. Now...before I lose my shit. I say this one last time: ANYONE ELSE?!

Dante: Oh shit! The White Bitch is falling out of the sky!!

Everyone looks up to see Weiss falling from the sky as she had leg go of the talon of the Nevermore her and Ruby were on

Weiss: WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME!!

Ruby: I SAID JUMP!!

Jaune: I got her!!

Jaune was stood on a branch of a tree and leaps off it to catch Weiss but he felt a weight on his back and in the split second he had, he saw Sapphire on his back knelt down

Sapphire: Sorry kid.

Using Jaune as a spring, Sapphire launches himself up to Weiss and catches her in his arms and they land on the ground safely next to Jaune

Sapphire: Nice of you to drop in.

Weiss looks at her saviors face. Her heart skipped a beat as she stared into his gleaming silver eyes and a small but noticable blush grew on her face

Weiss: M-my..my hero...

Jaune: My....face..

Pyrrha came flying in from the Death Stalker swatting her with its massive claws and she lands hard on her side in front of everyone and Dante extends his hand out to help her

Dante: You alright?

Pyrrha: Y-yes. I'm fine. Thank you.

He pulls her up quickly and spun her around before leaning her back and he somehow gets a rose in his mouth that he places in her hair along with giving her back her weapon

Dante:*winks* There ya go babe~

He stands her up and leaves her there feeling awkward and kind of in a blushing mess from what she was just apart of

Obito: How did you do that?

Dante: Slight of hand, misdirection bing bang boom. Easy. Watch.

Dante takes out a deck of cards and shows them all to Obito and he rubs them in his hands and opens them and shows the cards had disappeared. He then rolls up his sleeves and shows Obito his hands before rubbing them together and blowing into them before spreading his arms wide and letting a group of pigeons fly out from thin air

Obito: Whoa!

Dominic:*light clapping*

Dante:*bowing* Thank you! Thank you! Oh you're too kind~!

Yang: Well now that we're all here. We can finally die together!

Ruby draws out her weapon Crescent Rose and shakes her head with determination

Ruby: Not if I can help it!!

Yang: Ruby wait!!

She charges the approaching Death Stalker shouting out in a triumphant battle cry. But sadly her efforts were in vain as she was easily swatted to the side by the Grimm

Ruby: D-don't worry! Totally fine!

Ruby doesn't notice the Nevermore coming back around towards her as she staggers to her feet and when she looks up she realizes too late that it launches needle like feathers at her and one pieces her cape and pins her to the ground

Yang: Ruby!

Her older sister runs to her to save her as Ruby tries to pull her cape free from the ground but the Death Stalker was quickly approaching with its stinger pointed directly at Ruby

Yang: RUBY!!

Suddenly a blue crystal appears and freezes the Death Stalker before it could reach Ruby

Weiss: You are SO childish!

Everyone watches Weiss walk up to Ruby with her weapon, Myrnaster in hand

Weiss: Not to mention dim-witted, hyperactive and don't even get me started on your fighting style! And yes, I suppose I can be a bit.. difficult.

Dante:*whisper to Blake* That's putting it lightly.

Weiss: But if we're going to do this, we're going to do it together. So if you quit trying to show off, maybe I'll be...nicer.

Weiss extends a hand out to Ruby which she takes

Ruby: I'm not trying to show off, I just want you to know I can do this.

Weiss: ... You're fine.

Suddenly the Death Stalker breaks free from it's prison and it screeches at everyone but it was suddenly frozen again but this time by a small ball of ice. Everyone turns to see Sapphire with his hands out and permafrost coming from his hands

Sapphire: That's not gonna hold it for very long guys!!

Dante smirks and runs towards the frozen Grimm and he spins around cheering

Dante: Let's go for a ride!!

He throws Rebellion and it spins around the Grimm like a boomerang and it cuts off all of its legs

Obito: Dante!

Dante turns his head back and sees Obito running at him at full sprint making a grin appear on his face. Dante locks his hands together and Obito jumps on them and was flung up into the air by Dante

Dante: ALLEY OOP!!

Obito begins to glow an orange aura and he crosses his arms together and closes his eyes. The light begins to grow brighter around his hand and he spun around and launched a barrage of flaming kunai at the frozen Death Stalker

Obito lands next to Weiss and Ruby and the Death Stalker explodes into chunks of ice and frozen flesh

Obito:*lifts his goggles* Toasty~

Dominic: Where was that when you were fighting that baby Beowolf!

Obito: I can only use it twice per day jackoff!! One more and that's it!

Dominic: Teh, what a pathetic drawback.

Their argument was broken up by the sound of the Nevermore screeching as it circles around for another attack

Jaune: Uh guys, that thing is coming back!!

Dante: Okay! Everyone grab your piece and book it back to Ozpin! Now!!

Dominic: I am not some coward who runs at the first sign of danger! I am a warrior!

Dante: Yeah we're strong numb nuts but we have to worry about *them* first!

Jaune: Run and live? Yeah that's a good idea I can get behind!

Dominic: You act as if you can't kill a group of those things single handedly!

Dante: It's not about strength, it's about making sure everyone gets to safety!

Dominic: Then you go with them! I'll stay and fight!

Dante: That Nevermore is coming back around for another run and if it completely ignores you and-!

Dominic quick draws Yamato in the direction of the Nevermore that was in a nose dive towards him and Dante. With a sigh, he sheathed his blade and the Grimm was cut into pieces and fall on the ground

Dominic: That is why I don't fear these things! I'm stronger than them! And I'm stronger than you.

Dante: Oh really?

Dante grabs his brother by the collar of his coat and points his gun at the side of his head

Dante: You wanna test that theory!

The blades edge of Yamato was placed on the side of Dante's neck

Dominic: You know a gun won't hurt me. Let's test the theory of decapitation shall we?

Sapphire: Hey guys?

The twin look towards Sapphire

Sapphire:*point* Look!

Far off in front of the forest sat a strange figure floating above the ground. It stood there with long lanky arms and looked as if it was a ghost of some kind

The entity let out a loud screech as it raised its arms in the air. It's hands started to glow bright green and the pieces of the Nevermore turn to dust and begin to swirl around into a miniature tornado before quickly dispersing and the Nevermore was back on it's feet. Alive.

Dante: Call me crazy but I think that's what we're looking for.

Dominic: It can revive Grimm.

Sapphire: Wait. Do you think it can revive demons?

Dante: You're telling me we have a Grimm that not only can revive Grimm but it can also turn dead demons into bigger ones!

Yang: Will someone explain what the hell is going on!?

Obito: I don't know but we should leave. Right now.

Blake: And leave them behind!?

Jaune: I don't mean to be the bad guy here, but one of them cut a Nevermore into sliced bits! I think they'll be fine!

Pyrrha: We still have to help them.
