A grey overcast took over the skies above Beacon as the all male team of team ODDS got ready for school after just waking up

Obito:*yawn*

Obito walks over to the jukebox that Dante had installed in their room and went over to pick a song but once he pressed the button, nothing happened

Obito: Hm?

He presses the button multiple times before hitting it with his fist but sighs when even that doesn't work

Obito: Dante..! This piece of junk is on the fritz again!

The bathroom door opened and Dante walked out with his head down and he goes over to the jukebox and smashes his fist on the machine, crushing it but in doing so, causing music to start playing from it

Dante: There...

Dante walks back to the bathroom and slams the door shut behind him

Obito: Yeesh. What's his deal today Dom?

Obito turns to Dominic who doesn't respond to his question while he finishes tying up his tie and grabs his amulet from the dresser next to him and looks at it before putting it around his neck and tucked it into his shirt

Obito: Helloo? Remnant to Dominic?

Sapphire grabbed a soda can that was nearby and tosses it at Dominic who catches it and crushed it in his hand

Sapphire: Your leader is asking you a question dicknuts.

Dominic: What do you want?

Obito: Are—you guys okay?

Dominic: It's none of your concern.

Obito: Oh come on! Are we seriously back to hiding things from each other!? What could you two possibly be hiding from us now?

Dominic: It's nothing. It's just...it's one of those days.

Dominic grabs his book before leaving the room and soon after, Dante comes out of the bathroom with his blazer over his shoulder and he leaves the room without looking at his teammates

Obito looks back at Sapphire who just shrugged his shoulders being just as confused as Obito

Sapphire: Maybe they'll come around eventually.

Obito: I hope so..

Throughout the day, the twins were stoic and silent as they went through their classes one by one until it was time to go to the cafeteria for lunch and everyone sat together talking to one another accept for the twins who were silently picking at their food until Weiss speaks up

Weiss: So Dominic, are you ready for you to finally lose your winning streak today?

Dominic: ....Huh?

Weiss:*scoff* You forgot? We have chess every Thursday!

Sapphire: Wait you guys play chess together?

Weiss: Is that so strange?

Sapphire: No it's just...unexpected.

Yang: Ah you're just gonna stall until you eventually give up again! Right Dom?

Yang slaps Dominic on the arm, making him jump slightly from being taken out of deep thought

Yang: Oh, I'm sorry!

Dominic: It's fine. Uh, what were we talking about?

Weiss: Okay, what exactly is going on?

Dominic: What do you mean?

Blake: Well...You two have been quiet today. That's normal for you but for Dante, it's strange.

Dante: You know I'm right here, right?

Ren: You two hardly even eaten anything from your plates.

Obito: Dante you have a chocolate muffin just sitting there and you're not snarfing it down like it was your last meal! What's going on? Tell us.

Dominic: It's none of your concern.

Yang puts her hand over Dominic's and looks at him with a look of concern

Yang: Tell me. Please.

Sighing, Dominic pulls his hand away from Yang and stands up with his tray in his hands

Dominic: Not today.

He leaves the group, leaving Yang and Ruby sadder than the rest of their friends

Blake: Dante. Would you tell us what's going on?

Dante: No. I'm sorry but this is something we have to deal with.

Pyrrha: But is it too much to tell us? Your friends?

Dante: We don't like to talk about our feelings. So just drop it before I get angry.

Sapphire: That a threat?

Dante: It's a warning.

Dante gets up and walks away with his tray in his hand as the rest of his friends and teammates watched

Obito: Argh!! I just wish they'd stop being so stubborn and tell us what's wrong!

Obito smashes his fist on the table which makes a few of his friends trays jump up

Sapphire: Well it's not like we can just interrogate them.

Nora:*gasp*

Ren: Nora!

Nora: But-!

Sapphire: Yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with Ren here. Hell no.

Nora: But I wasn't even gonna say anything!

Weiss: What could you have possibly said other than what everyone was thinking?

Nora: What I was going to say, before I was so rudely interrupted, was that we should do some detective work and follow them around the school!

Sapphire: That wouldn't work.

Nora: Aw! Why not?!

Sapphire: Because Dominic can sense us and Dante practically has his head on a swivel.

Jaune: I mean...there's always going through their stuff.

Pyrrha: Jaune! That's an invasion of their privacy! We can't do that!

Sapphire: Why not? Nobody here knew Dominic would raise a giant tower in the sky. Who knows what they could be hiding? I say we go for it.

Yang: Yeah! Let's do it!

Weiss: You're just saying that because you want to find out if Dominic likes you.

Yang:*blush* Shut up Weiss!!

Nora: Just tell him how you feel!

Yang; You try having feelings for your hero!

Nora: Well you better make it happen fast! I want my fanfiction to come true!!

Sapphire: I'm sorry what?

Ren:*sigh* Nora likes to write fanfics of two of her friends that get together...

Jaune: If it's not pancakes or being loud...it's that.

Nora: Yup! I already made one of Dominic x Dante!

Blake: Can...can I see it?

Weiss: Blake!!

Obito: Can we please go back to planning how we're gonna get those two away from the dorm long enough for us to find anything on what they're so sad about?

Yang: We thought you were gonna distract them.

Sapphire: Or you and Blake can do that while we get our detective caps on and solve this mystery.

Suddenly a blue and yellow flash zipped up behind Sapphire and shouted in unison:

Sun&Neptune: Did somebody say "detective"!?

Sapphire: Nooo..!

Ruby: You guys can help us? That's great!!

Sapphire: No! No! Son of a bitch!!

Neptune: Hey don't forget, we're deputized!

Obito: He's right Sapphire.

Sapphire sighs into his hands as he wished he wasn't there right now. Or dead.

Sun: Don't worry guys! I can get Dante distracted for a while so you can find out whatever it is you guys are trying to find.

Neptune: And I'll distract the other one! Uh..what's his name again?

Yang:*sigh* Dominic...

Neptune: Right!!

Ruby: It's settled! We'll snoop around our friends stuff while you two distract them!

Sun: Yeah!!

Sapphire: Let's just get this over with...

Timeskip—

Dante was inside of his teams dorm with a magazine on his face enjoying a nice dream about snow boarding down a mountain that was a gigantic strawberry sundae when a knock at the door woke him up.

With a dejected sigh, he gets up from his seat and goes over to the door and opens it to see Sun standing there with a wide smile on his face

Sun: Dante! Bro! How's it hanging?

Dante: Fine I guess..

Sun: I heard you were feeling down, so I decided to come and cheer you up!

Dante: Oh..no that's fine I-

Sun: Ah ah! I won't take no for an answer! You're my bro and I'm here to help you. So put on your coat and let's go!

Dante sighs through his nostrils and rubs his nose before grabbing his coat off the wall and puts it over his shoulder

Dante: Fine...

Sun: Awesome! Let's go!

Dante closes and locks the door behind him as he begrudgingly follows Sun down the hall while the group of his friends sneak up to the door and Obito opens the door and they all sneak into the dorm

Neptune had walked into the library and scans the aisles for Dominic before he finds him in the back of the library reading a large book

Neptune: Heyyy~ What's up.....uh....Dominic?

Dominic:*turns a page* Leave me alone.

Neptune: Wow they weren't wrong, you're kinda mean.

Dominic flips the next page of the book he was reading and cleared his throat a little

Neptune: Uh...I-I'm Neptune.

Dominic:*flips a page* ........

Neptune: Okay I guess I'll just sit here.

Neptune sits in the chair in front of Dominic and waits for him to say something but he just flips to the next page of his book

Neptune: Uh..so. You like books. Yeah, I enjoy a good read too sometimes. Gotta keep the brain big for all the smart girls you know?

Dominic: .......

Neptune:~Oh who am I kidding! This guy doesn't even know that I'm even here! I don't have to distract him. He's too busy being buried in that book he's reading!~

Dominic hums slightly as he takes notes from the book and turns the page

Neptune:~Guys come on! I don't know how much longer he's gonna be here!!~

Dominic: You see something you like?

Neptune: Huh?

Dominic: I'm flattered but I'm not interested. My apologies.

Neptune: Wh-what? No I'm just-! Just waiting for you to be done with that book. It's my favorite story.

Dominic: This is my math textbook.

Neptune: U-uh...yeah! I uh..really love math!

Dominic raised an eyebrow at Neptune who was sweating bullets but Dominic just ignored him and went back to his book

Obito lifts up Dante's mattress to find anything related to his and Dominic's current situation but found nothing and he drops the mattress with a exasperated sigh

Obito: You guys find anything?

Ruby: No.

Weiss: Nuh uh.

Yang:*sigh* Nope!

Blake: Sorry but, no.

Obito:*groans* This is taking forever!

Sapphire: Well it's not like they leave much of their past lying around.

Yang: Wait! Didn't Dante have a shop in the city?

Obito: Hey, yeah! We could probably find something there!

Sapphire: You want to go all the way to the city to find an unnamed shop that's probably a pile of rubble by now? Face it, whatever they're going through right now, they don't want us to go prying through their things to find out what it is.

Ruby: But they're sad. I don't want anyone to be sad...

Yang: We'll find something Ruby. We have to.

Blake sighs and placed a book back in the bookshelf and walked around with her eyes scanning the room

Her foot then hits the desk next to the window and the framed picture of the twins mother falls down and a small cracking sound was heard which makes everyone in the room freeze

Blake:*shocked* What have I done..?

Obito goes over and picks up the cracked photo and sighs in relief that it was only a tiny fracture

Obito: It's okay Blake. Just a tiny—Wait a second..

The young shinobi lifts his goggles off his eyes and he squints at the photo

Sapphire: What? Did you find something?

Obito: I think I can see some writing behind the picture. Hold on..

Obito turns the frame over and undoes the back of it and pulls out the photo

Obito: "Never forget"?

Weiss: Why is that written on the back of it? It's their mother. Why would they ever forget her?

Obito: There's a date on here to. Wait...this is todays date.

Yang: Let me see.

Obito hands the photo over to Yang who looks at it and she takes her scroll out of her pocket and puts in the date in the search engine and presses enter and she skims through the web to find something related to the date

Ruby: What are you doing?

Yang: I'm trying to find anything about a mothers death on this date. Maybe we can find out more if we look into it. But it's gotta go super far back. How old are they again?

Obito: Huh?

Yang: How old are Dante and Dominic?

Obito: Uhh.....

Sapphire: They're......oh shit.

Blake: What's wrong?

Obito: We...sorta don't know~!

Weiss: Are you serious?! You've spent over a year together as a team and you don't even know how old two of your members are!

Sapphire: Well it's not like they've told us anything useful about their past! Only that their mother was killed by demons when their house was attacked when they were young.

Yang: Wait! Did either of them ever say where their house was?

Obito: Uhh...

Obito rubs his temples, trying to remember if the twins ever told them that

Sapphire: Wait..wasn't it in Redgrave?

Blake: That's right! Dante's alias was Tony Redgrave. That's where they grew up!

Weiss: Why would he need an alias?

Blake: I think it was to hide his past from others. He said it was an obvious fake name but one people wouldn't pay any attention to.

Sapphire: Smart.

Ruby: Now all we need to do is find out where they lived!

Obito: Uhhhh—OH! I remember!

Weiss: We already figured it out Obito..

Obito: No, not that! Where they lived. I remember Dante saying that he lived outside of the city!

Yang: That narrows it down by a ton!

Yang types down on her scroll and searches through the internet as quickly as she can

Sapphire: Hurry before they come back.

Yang: I'm trying! Do you know how many burning houses I have to flip through just to find it?!

She hurries through the pages of information until she finds what she was looking for and holds up her scroll in victory

Yang: Yes!!

Obito: Show us dammit!

Yang: Right!

Yang holds out her scroll for everyone to crowd around and they see an image of a house in a field somewhere outside of the city

Ruby: Whoa! They must've been rich!

Yang: Apparently this place burned down eleven years ago. Wait...then that would make them nineteen.

Sapphire: And eight years old when...all that happened. God..they really were just kids.

Weiss: Well now we know what we're looking for.

Ruby: What are we waiting for? Let's go!

Blake: Wait! We can't just leave their mothers photo like this!

Obito: There's no time! We gotta go before they come back!

Sapphire: He's right. Look, we'll take care of this when we come back, okay?

Yang places the photo down and Blake puts it back in its frame and sets it back on the desk as everyone else goes to leave

As they leave, Yang catches a glimpse of something sticking out from under Dominic's pillow and he reaches under it and pulls out a journal

Yang: What's this?

Ruby: Yang! Come on!

Yang: R-right!

She pockets the journal and walks out of the room with everyone else

Dante and Sun were sat in the cafeteria drinking coffee while they talked with each other. But to more accurately put it, Sun was doing most of the talking while Dante sat there staring into his mug

Sun: So...you're with Blake now.

Dante: Huh? Y-Yeah..

Sun: That's cool...that's cool..So-! What's she like? As a girlfriend I mean.

Dante: She's...fine.

Sun: Fine? I mean yeah she's fine but like...just "fine"?

Dante: Look, I've got a lot on my mind right now okay?

Sun: Okay okay. No need to get hostile bro.

Dante sighs and he looks at the watch on his wrist as he takes a sip of his coffee

Dante: Look I have to go. It was nice catching up with you but I gotta bounce.

Sun: W-wait! Maybe I can join you?

Dante: Nah, this is a family matter. See ya banana breath.

Dante gets up from his seat and walks away from Sun who takes out his scroll and texts everyone that Dante was leaving

Neptune sighs as he taps his fingers on the table he and Dominic were seated at until he got a notification on his scroll and once he read it, his eyes widened and he looks at Dominic nervously

Neptune: S-So...you...wanna talk about something?

Dominic: No.

Neptune: Aww come on man! There's gotta be something you're interested in! What about that girl you were dancing with at the dance? She your girlfriend?

Dominic: She's not.

Neptune: O-oh...that's cool I guess.

Dominic: That I don't have a girlfriend?

Neptune: Uh...no?

Dominic felt his scroll buzz in his pants and he looked at it before getting up and closing his book

Dominic: Well I must be off. This was certainly an experience.

He goes to leave but stops and turns around to hand over his math book to Neptune who takes it

Dominic: Have fun I guess.

Neptune: Ah...thanks..

Dominic: Uh huh.

Dominic turns and leaves thinking how strange Neptune was but he puts it in the back of his mind and continues onward

The gang was on an airship that took them towards Redgrave where they'll have to go on foot to find where the twins used to live

Yang had taken out the journal she snatched from under Dominic's pillow and was trying to find the courage to open it

Ruby:*leans forward* What's that?

Yang: I found this under Dominic's pillow.

Ruby: You stole from him?

Yang: No! Well...kind of. I'm just curious if he has something to hide.

Ruby: But isn't snooping around his personal stuff wrong?

Yang: Yeah but...I wanna know more about him. And maybe this will help me understand him better.

Sapphire: Or it'll get you killed for touching his stuff.

Yang: Psh! He won't do that!

Ruby: Yang, the man slammed me into a wall before he fought his brother in the underworld. I didn't even get to see them fight!!

Yang: W-well...maybe this can wait.

Ruby: Uh huh.

Dominic walks into a diner and looks around for Dante who was sat by a window eating a strawberry sundae by himself until Dominic walked up and sat down across from him

Dominic: You chose that as your meal?

Dante: Can I have one modicum of happiness today please?

Dominic:*sigh* Did you at least order me something?

Dante points his spoon to a waitress who brought over a slice of pie with a cup of coffee and she smiled at the two before engaging in a conversation with them

Waitress: What brings you two here?

Dominic: We used to live here.

Dante:*nod*

Waitress: Really? Well I've lived here ma whole life and I ain't ever seen you two fellers before.

Dante: We moved when we were young.

Waitress: Oh. Well pardon me then boys. Holler if ya need anything!

The waitress leaves the two alone as Dominic eats a piece of his slice of pie

Dante: She seems nice.

Dominic: Mhm..

Dante: If things don't pan out with Yang, you got a girl from home to see here.

Dominic: What are you talking about?

Dante: Oh please. With the way you two look at each other it's obvious there's something there.

Dominic: Oh. No, that wouldn't work out.

Dante: Why not?

Dominic: Do you know how hard it is to look both of them in the eye? A relationship with either of them would be even harder. Loving their mother got her killed. I won't break apart their family by being with them.

Dante: So you're gonna be a loner forever?

Dominic: You make it sound like a bad thing.

Dante: Well when my kid is asking why his uncle lives alone and reads all day I'm gonna tell 'em that he's scared of girls.

Dominic: You expect your relationship with Blake to reach that level?

Dante: What you don't expect it to work out?

Dominic: Heh. I expect it to crash and burn~

The two brothers laugh softly before turning their attention to their food which they eat before paying and leaving the diner as quickly as they came

Waitress: Hm~ Nice boys those two.

The airship lands outside of Redgrave and the group walks around the city looking for directions to get to the twins childhood home but no one could tell them anything

Weiss:*groan* This is hopeless! We're never gonna find it!

Obito: We didn't give up with Blake, and we're not gonna give up on them!

Ruby: Obito's right! There has to be someone who can tell us something about where it is.

Sapphire: Well they did live here at some point. Maybe we should look at the places they would have most frequently visited.

Obito: Of course! You girls check the libraries while we check the pizza shops!

Sapphire: Why don't we just split up into teams of two to cover more ground?

Obito: ......why do you always have to one up me in front of my girlfriend man?

Sapphire: Hey, someone has to do it.

Obito: I super hate you.

Sapphire: No you don't.

Sapphire pats Obito on the head which makes the girls laugh when his face begins to turn red from embarrassment

Ruby:*giggle* Come on Obito!

Ruby grabs Obito's hand and takes him away. Obito turns around and sticks his tongue out at Sapphire who shook his head while smiling slightly

Sapphire:*sigh* Kids huh? They turn into punks so fast.

Weiss: I'll say. I don't know what she even sees in him sometimes.

Sapphire: Ah let 'em be, they're kids. Come on, let's ask around for information.

Weiss: Yes yes let's go.

Sapphire and Weiss walk away leaving Blake and Yang together

Blake: So...do you have any idea where we should start?

Yang takes out the journal from her back and looks at it for a second before turning to Blake

Yang: Maybe..

The twins stood in front of an old rusted gate that they stared at in silence until Dante broke it by opening the gate

Dante: You ready?

Dominic: I....

Dominic took a step away from the gate and held the Yamato in both of his hands tightly as he looked at Dante

Dante: You already came this far. Don't chicken out now.

Dominic:*shudder* Yes. Of course..

The two brothers walk through the gate and walk down a dirt path, passing by dead trees and grass. Dominic looks off in the distance and sees an old playground and walks away from Dante towards it and he looks around the rusted wreckage of the playground

Dante: This where it happened?

Dominic walked around and spotted something in the dirt, picking up an old black shirt that was torn and full of years of dirt. He closed his eyes and remembered what happened the day their home was attacked

Dominic: ......

He drops the shirt on the ground and the two continue on towards an old house that was burned down but still standing. They stare at it for a while until Dante points out towards a tree on a hill and they embark to it and come upon a stone grave with a name inscribed on it

Yang and Blake walked down the sidewalk and they arrived at an old library as Yang shuts the journal closed and goes to open the door when Blake stops her

Blake: Wait. What if they just want to be left alone? This day obviously means something to them and they want to be together for it.

Yang: Do you like seeing Dante sad?

Blake: What?

Yang: I know you heard me Blake. Do you like seeing him suffer?

Blake: No! Of course not. Why are you even asking me this?

Yang: Because those two have been through hell alone. I'm not gonna let them go through this by themselves. I'm gonna protect him...like he protected me.

Yang opens the door to the library, walking inside with Blake and the two look around at the array of bookshelves inside the small building

Yang: Hello? Is anyone here?

No answer. The duo walks around the library searching for signs of life but when they meet up again, they find that no one was even there

Blake: This is strange. The door is open but nobody's here. Why?

Yang: Argh! This is getting us nowhere!

???: You know it's rude to shout in a library..

The girls jump back and ready their weapons as an old man walks up with the sound of a cane tapping on the floor

Old Man: You draw your weapons at your elders? For shame. Kids these days don't know anything about manners.

They put away their weapons and apologize to the old man

Yang: S-sorry sir. We were just wondering if we could get some help finding something.

Old Man: Oh? And what might that be? We have all the information you can think of here. Old. New. You name it, I got it.

Blake: It's a place. Here in the city.

Old Man: Oh? Well come on then, spit it out.

Yang: Do you know about a house that burned down eleven years ago?

Old Man: Hm..oh yes I remember that incident. They said it was unknown how the fire started. Ah, I remember a youngster who used to come in here every day say he lived there.

Blake: What did he look like?

Old Man: Oh he was a strange one. Hair as white as snow and eyes as blue as the ocean. I always wondered why he never went out with his friends rather than here. But I guess he wasn't very popular amongst the other children.

The two girls looked at each other once they realized who he was talking about

Yang: Did he say where he lived?

Old Man: Why? You kids aren't looking for any trouble is ye?

Blake: No we're just trying to find our friends. We think they may be over there at that house.

Old Man:*sigh* Well, my memory ain't what it used to, but I'm sure it's over yonder down the old district. You'll know when you're there when you see a long fence. You can't miss it.

Yang: Yes! Thank you!!

Yang runs out of the library while Blake bows in respect for the old man and walks out of the library as Yang was texting everyone what the old man had told them

Yang: Okay! You with me Blake?

Blake: Of course.

Yang: Then let's go!!

Yang walks off to find the house...in the wrong direction.

Blake: Uh, Yang?

Yang: Wha-?

Blake:*points* It's that way.

Yang: R-right! Ehehe~

The twins were sat on the tree that was behind the grave of their mother. They both sat next to each other in silence as they watched the clouds move across the sky.

Dante feels Dominic tap him on the arm and he sits up to see Dominic pointing at a group of their friends walking towards their home. They both sigh and stand up, crossing their arms in synch as they wait for them to make it up the hill

Ruby: Uh oh.

Sapphire: What's wrong?

Ruby: They..they have the same face.

Weiss: Well of course they do you dolt! They're twins!

Ruby: N-no. They have the same look in their eyes....

Ruby points a shaking finger over to the top of the hill where the brothers were standing side by side with a look of disappointment mixed with silent anger. Though this wasn't a new expression for Dominic since his face was perpetually either angry or melancholy.

Obito: Ohh...do you think we should go back?

Blake: We already made it this far.

Sapphire: Plus Yang is still walking up there.

Yang walks up the hill and makes it to the top and stands before the twins who looked at her with their arms crossed

Yang:*sigh* Hey guys...

The two said nothing and just stared at Yang which made the girl uncomfortable and she tried to get them to talk to her while the rest of the group walked up the hill

Yang: S-So...sorry about coming here. I..We wanted to know why you two were so sad today.

Dante: Do none of you people ever fucking listen?

Obito: Whoa! That's a nice "how do you do"!

Dominic: Speak when not spoken to again and I'll snap your neck.

Obito gulps and hides behind Sapphire as his legs shook

Dante sighs and rubbed his eyes before he speaks

Dante: We told you guys to just leave us alone for the day and what do you do? The opposite of that!

Weiss: Well excuse us for having a concern for you both!

Dominic; Today is not the day for arrogance. Especially for you lot!

Yang: We were just trying to help!!

Dominic: Who asked for your guys' help?! No one! You just think that we need you guys! We don't! Especially not today!

Sapphire: What even is today?

Dante: Well if you must know, consider you all came all the way over here for it! Let us introduce you to our ma!

Dante kneels down next to the grave with a hand on it and an angry smile spread across his cheeks

Dante: Say hi ma! Oh what? You can't? Oh that's right because you died! On this very exact day! Not to mention that it's our birthday.

Sapphire: Happy birthday.

Dominic: Thank you.

Ruby: Is that why you guys were sad all day? Because of your mom....

Dante: Dying on our birthday? Yeah. Not a good time to be happy red.

Dominic: Look, we aren't mad. We're just not in the mood for anything okay? Here..

Dominic pulls out Yamato and cuts open a portal on the hill

Dominic: This will take you all back home. Just please let us be alone right now. Okay?

Ruby: Are you..mad at us?

Dante: No..! We just want to mourn in peace. Please?

Sapphire: Let's just go.

Yang: What?! But we—But I—!

Blake: Yang.

Blake puts a hand on her friend's shoulder and shakes her head no

Blake: Let's just go home.

Reluctantly, everyone leaves the twins to mourn the loss of their mother and they walk into the dorm of team ODDS and the portal closes behind them

Weiss: Well that was a gigantic waste of time.

Sapphire: I told you guys but you didn't listen to me.

Obito: Sapphire...come on man.

Sapphire: What? It's true.

Yang held the journal close to her chest as she thought about how disappointed Dominic was in her and Ruby stood beside her to comfort her

Yang: I just want to help them...

Blake thinks to herself for a second and a lightbulb turns on in her head and she snaps her fingers

Blake: Maybe we can.

Obito: How? You heard them. They want to be left alone for today.

Blake: Don't worry, they'll have their time to mourn. But they'll get a big surprise when they come home.

Ruby: Ooohh~ I know where this is going!!

Sapphire:*sigh* Sure. Why not?

The twins appeared in the hallway outside of their dorm and let out a relived sigh before opening the door and walked inside their dorm

Dante:*sigh* You think they're gonna be okay?

Dominic: It's not our concern. Let's just go to bed.

The lights turn on and the twins get into defensive stance's until they hear multiple voices shout out at them

Happy birthday!!!

Nora pops out from behind the twins and blows on a horn right in their ears

Dante: AHH!!

Dominic: My ear!!

Nora: Oh stop whining! It's a party!!

Ruby: Surprise!!

Dominic:*sigh* I-

Dante puts a hand on his brother's shoulder and shakes his head slightly

Dante: Just enjoy it.

Dante winks and laughs as he walks up to his friends and gives them all hugs before kissing Blake on the cheek

Dante: Man! You know, I was having a really shitty day but this, this helps a lot!

Obito: It was all Blake's idea!

Dante: Really? Well I think this calls for another kiss!

Dante kisses his girlfriend on the cheek again making the cat faunus blush bright red and she tries to hide it as her friends laugh

Dominic rolled his eyes and went to join in the festivities with everyone else there

Jaune: Dom! Show us those sweet dance moves you did at the dance!

Dominic: What? Uh..sure?

Dominic moves to the center of the room and stretches his limbs

Dominic: The secret is to keep yourself limber and then you'll be able to—

Dominic: It helps that I'm naturally flexible!

Nora winks and nudges Yangs arm which makes her look away in embarrassment

Dante: Where's Sapphire?

Obito: He and Weiss are cooking up a little "surprise" for you two~*wink*

Dante: Oh?*gasp* Ohhh!

Dominic: .........I don't get it.

Dante and Nora were arm wrestling each other while everyone else cheered for one of them to win

Yang: Come on Nora! Show him who's boss!!

Obito: Come on Dante! You've faced things that are three times your size and you're letting a girl beat you!!

Pyrrha: Please refrain from hurting yourselves you two!

Ren was waving a small flag with Nora's face on it while both of them grunted as they tried to overpower each other

Ren was kneeling in front of the smashed jukebox wondering if the machine still worked

Ren: Uh, Dante?

Dante: Yes?

Ren: Does...this still function?

Dante: Yeah you just gotta hit it.

Ren hums and karate chops the busted jukebox which turns it on and it starts to play music

Dominic: Didn't you request for this machine AND the songs that are placed inside of it?

Nora: Aww~! The punk rocker likes pop music!

Dante: N-no I don't!

Ren: You're tapping your foot to the beat of the song right now.

Dante looks down at his foot and leans down, whispering something to it

Dante:*whisper* Traitor...

Obito: Hey Ruby, you wanna dance?

Ruby:*blush* What?!

Obito: Come on!

Obito grabs Ruby by the hand and pulls her into the center of the room where he starts to dance with her. She looked very uncomfortable from all the stares of her friends and Yang noticed this and grabbed Dominic's hand and took him over next to Obito and Ruby and had him dance with her while she took Obito

Nora: Dance randomizer! Come on Dante! Let's hit the floor!

Dante: What?

Nora grabs Dante by his arm and pulls him away from Blake who watches him being thrashed around by Nora which makes her laugh at her boyfriend's predicament

Yang: Hey. Just so you know, Ruby's very socially awkward.

Obito:*gasp* Oh! I'm so sorry! I-I didn't-!

Yang: It's fine. Just remember she's a little shy when it comes to crowds okay? Besides, she looks like she's okay now.

Obito turns his head to see Ruby being spun around by Dominic and she laughs as he catches her in his arms and picks her up slightly before lowering her below him and tossing her up and catching her again

Ruby: Ahh~!! Haha!!

Dominic: This is better without heels on huh?

Ruby: You mean those lady stilts? Oh a hundred times better!

Dominic chuckles at her and the two continue dancing to the music

Inside the kitchen, Weiss and Sapphire were hard at work baking two cakes while everyone else was enjoying the party

Weiss:*sigh* They're out there having a blast while we're here slaving away.

Sapphire: Well we're almost finished with the second cake so once it's decorated, I'll give you a dance or two~

Weiss: You better. I'm not gonna dazzle everyone with the cakes for free.

Sapphire: Weis. I solemnly swear I will give you a dance before the night ends.

Weiss:*smile* Good!

The twins sat down at a table while everyone crowed around them. The door to the kitchen opened up and Weiss and Sapphire wheeled in a cart with two cakes on it

Dante: Whoa!! We get two?! We always had to share one!

Sapphire: Well you two are big boys now. Also Nora's here so—

Nora: I WANNA EAT THEM CAKES BOI!!

Sapphire: In due time. But first, two chocolate cakes for the birthday boys.

Dante: Wooh! Jackpot!

Dominic: Thank you.

Both cakes were set in front of the brothers and Weiss lit the candles as Ruby darted to the other side of the room and turned off the lights before coming back

Pyrrha: Now all that's left is for you two to make a wish.

Dante thinks about his wish for a second before smiling and looking at his brother

Dante: Your turn.

Dominic takes a little bit longer to think of his wish but once a smile grows across his face, that's when everyone knew he had decided on his wish.

Obito: Wait!

Obito breaks from the group and takes out his scroll and turns on the camera

Obito: There! Ready when you are!

Dante: One. Two. Three.

The twins blow out the candles and Obito takes a photo at the perfect moment and everyone claps and cheers for the two as the lights come on

Sapphire: Now don't tell anyone what you wished for or else it won't come true.

Dante: Fine fine.

Dominic: As you wish.

Nora: Cake time!!

Nora reaches for Dante's cake and he immediately pulls out Ivory and points it at her head making everyone gasp in shock

Dante: Oh. Sorry! Sorry. I just...really like chocolate~Ehehe~

Yang drags her finger across the side of Dominic's cake and goes to lick her finger but Dominic grabs her wrist to stop her

Dominic: Don't try to be slick Yang.

Yang: What? You're gonna lick my fing-

Dominic puts his mouth around Yangs finger and licks the chocolate off of it making her gasp while her face goes as red as Ruby's hood

Dominic: Hm. Which one of you made this chocolate?

Sapphire:*raises his hand* Yo.

Dominic: This is very good!

Sapphire: Only the best for my friends.

Dante: Aww~ He loves us~

Sapphire: Don't push it Dante.

Team JNPR was the first to leave with Ren carrying Nora over his shoulder after she had a sugar crash from eating most of both cakes

Ruby yawns and was about to lie down on Sapphires bed when Yang picks her up

Yang: Okay sis it's time for bed.

Ruby:*yawn* Fine....

Dante: Nighty night red.

Ruby: Bye...~

Yang takes Ruby back to their dorm while everyone else helps clean up

Sapphire: Hey guys. Do me a favor?

Dominic: Sure. What is it?

Sapphire turns his head slightly to point at Weiss and they get the message he was trying to convey to them and they put away the dishes quickly before they leave the dorm

Weiss:*humming*

Sapphire: Hey..

Weiss turns to Sapphire who hit the jukebox with his fist and it played a slow dance song for the two and he holds out his hands for her

Sapphire: May I have this dance?

Weiss:*smile* Yes..

The two come together and start dancing together as the moonlight shines through the open window. She puts her head on his chest as his arms snake around her. Both of them look at each other as their faces begin to close in on one another until their lips crash into each other as the song ends

Obito: Well what are you guys gonna do?

Dante: I'm gonna go walk off this extra energy. Wanna come Blake?

Blake: Sure. I could use a walk.

Dominic: You two have fun.

Dante: Thanks. See ya.

Dante holds out his fist towards Dominic who smirks and bumps his fist with Dante's and the four of them separate from each other

Obito and Dominic walk up towards the roof of the dormitory and sit down beside each other as they stare up at the stars in the sky

Obito: Nice night.

Dominic: It is...

Obito: You know, Ruby seemed really happy when she was dancing with you.

Dominic: What you're gonna beat me up for stealing your girlfriend?

Obito: Nah. Or maybe-!!

Obito grins and holds up a kunai but puts it away and laughs with Dominic

Obito: Haha..! No it's fine. As long as she's happy, I'm happy.

Dominic: Same here.

Silence filled the air for a while until Obito sighed and spoke up

Obito: Hey Dom, can you promise me something?

Dominic: What?

Obito: If I were to....expire. Die. I want you to take care of Ruby for me. Okay?

Dominic: Where is this coming from?

Obito: Well, you seem to have the biggest connection to her besides her family and with the life we live, I don't know if I'll be here long enough.

Dominic: I'll do you one better than a promise.

Dominic stands up and gets in front of Obito as he pulls the Yamato out and grips the edge of the sword in his hand and slices it open, drawing a large amount of blood

Dominic: Obito Uchiha. You have my word as a Son of Sparda as well as a friend, that I will always protect the one known as Ruby Rose. In life and in death, I'll be there for her. With my blood, I swear an eternal oath to thee.

Obito: You know a simple "Yes" would have sufficed right?

Dominic: Yes but this is cooler.

Obito: What? Slicing up your hand?

Dominic: Speaking of which, sssss! Ow..! I think I cut too deep! It's—*chuckle* It's really bad! Ahhh~!

Obito rolled his eyes and took out a roll of bandages

Dante and Blake were staring up at the night sky in each others arms enjoying the silence together when a gust of wind blew past them and Blake shivered from the cold

Dante: Here.

He takes off his coat and puts it around Blake who smiled with a red tint glazed over her cheeks and she thanks him

Blake: Thank you...Dante..

Dante: Don't sweat it. The cold never bothered me anyways.

Blake: No but apparently tiny rats do.

Dante: Hey!

Blake laughed at her boyfriend who rolled his eyes at her

Dante: Hey Blake, sorry I snapped back then.

Blake: It's okay. Today isn't a happy day for the two of you. I understand that. But you don't have to go through this alone anymore. You have us, you have each other. And we're always here for you.

Dante smiles at her words and picks her head up from her chin and he plants a kiss on her lips

Dante: Thank you Blake. If my mother were here now, I think she would have loved to meet you.

Blake:*smile* I think my parents would like you too.

Dante: What you inviting me over or something?

Blake: Maybe someday.

Dante: Heh, alright.

The two stay in each other's arms as they watch the stars shine in the sky

Dante and Blake walked back to her dorm and she gave Dante his coat back before going into her dorm room as Yang watched the two of them with a smile

Yang: You two make a cute pair.

Dante: Thanks blondie.

Yang: Remember what I told you about calling me that?

Dante: No? I seem to remember hitting the fl-

Yang drove her fist into Dante's face which sent him to the floor

Yang: That's because I let my fists do all the talking.

Obito and Dominic walk up to see the aftermath of Yangs single punch knockout and Dominic points and laughs at his brother

Dominic: Haha! Such a fool!

Yang:*gasp* Oh my gosh! What happened to your hand!

Obito: The dum dum cut it open when he decided to make a "blood pact" towards me.

Yang: What the heck are you cutting open your hand for?!

She slaps his palm which causes him to wince in pain

Dominic: Ow..!

Yang: Geez. Making me all worried for you. You big dummy.

She starts to rub his hand softly and looks up at him

Yang: That feel better?

Dominic: Well it's already healed but it feels nice.

Yang: You want me to stop?

Dominic: You can if you want.

Yang: Good.

She kept rubbing his hand until Obito cleared his throat

Obito: Am I supposed to carry this fat lard back to the dorm by myself or something?

Dominic: He's right. I..should go.

Yang: W-wait! Don't...don't you wanna say goodbye?

Dominic: Yang I'm not leaving forever.

Yang: I-I know! I just...miss you a lot.

Dominic:*chuckle* Well that's flattering Yang. Goodnight and farewell. Come on Obito, let's get the idiot into bed.

Dominic throws Dante over his shoulder and walks down the hall with him

Obito: The heck was that?

Yang groans and puts her head in her hands to hide her embarrassment

Yang: I don't know! I'm such a girl when I'm around him! What do I do?

Obito: Be a woman and ask him out! I mean it's not that hard!

Yang: But he doesn't even seem to like me! What if I get rejected?

Obito: That's life Yang. Sometimes it sucks. But hey, everyone else got lucky, maybe you'll get your big break soon. Goodnight.

Yang:*sigh* Night...

Obito walks away from team RWBY's dorm as Yang walks inside and lays down on her bed. She sighs and pulls out the journal she stole from Dominic and begins to read it

Yang: This is...it has everything about him. I can use this!

Ruby groans and slaps the underside of her bed making Yang jump slightly

Yang:*whisper* Sorry!

Weiss leaves team ODDS's dorm with her clothes and hair slightly messy.

Obito: Well well well~ Looks like someone had a good time~

Weiss:*blush* Ahem..! I uh..I will compensate you to keep this between just us.

Dominic: We accept your bribery.

Obito: We'll be expecting it very soon Ms.Schnee~ Very soon~

Weiss: You two are enjoying this too much.

Dominic: Oh malignantly~

Obito: Night Weiss.

Weiss:*sigh* Goodnight. And happy birthday Dominic.

Dominic: Thank you.

The duo lets Weiss pass by them and they enter their dorm room where Sapphire was buttoning up his shirt with a satisfied smile on his face

Obito: Had fun?

Sapphire: You could say that. What happened to him?

Dominic: Yang.

Sapphire: Gotcha. Well goodnight.

Obito: Yeah, night guys.

Dominic tosses Dante's unconscious body on his bed and goes to lie down on his own. His eyes grow heavy and he drifts off to sleep along with the rest of team ODDS

Yang was deep into the contents of the journal and she was unconsciously biting her nail and only realized that she was doing it when she remembered it was the same one that Dominic licked chocolate from. Her chest began to feel hot as she licked it over and over, imagining it was something other than a finger, only for her to stop when she heard the sound of the door opening

Weiss:*sigh* Thank goodness..home at last.

Weiss immediately goes to bed after she changes clothes leaving Yang the only one awake. She pants as he looks at the finger she was licking before and goes at it again

Yang:~Please...I want you to know how I feel. How much I.. love you~
