Inside of the Temen Ni Gru, the remains of teams ODDS and RWBY walk through multiple rooms filled with demons and slay all who were in their path. They had all grown ever since they first encountered the demonic threat almost a whole year ago. One demon was enough to take three of them on and now, they were slaying them by the dozens like any Grimm.

Obito cheers as he drop kicks a demon and rides it down a staircase like a surfboard, jumping off and killing two more demons with kunai to the head with everyone else watching him have his fun

Weiss: At least one of us is having fun. Ugh, my dress is all dirty from this dusty old tower!

Sapphire: Shake it off Weiss. It shouldn't take us long to reach the top.

Blake: Can I talk to the two of you? In private?

Sapphire and Weiss look at each other and nod, walking down the staircase close to one another as they talked in hushed tones

Blake: How do you think Ruby will act if we run into Dominic again?

Weiss: She isn't like her sister but..I have been wondering what she's going to say to him.

Sapphire: I'm wondering what Yang will do when she sees him. She's hell bent on killing him out of vengeance. If we do find either of them, we should subdue them and take them with us until we find the others.

Ruby: You don't have to talk like I'm not here.

The three look back at Ruby who stared down at them as she walked down the stairs behind them

Ruby: I don't want to hurt him. I..I just want answers. I want to know if he meant to run away...I care about him and so does Yang. I know she's not going to attack him without a reason to. So stop talking like I'm a little kid.

Ruby walks past them, leaving them stunned at how she spoke to them just now

Blake: That was...

Weiss: Surprisingly mature for her.

Sapphire: She's motivated by the desire to learn the truth. And if she plays her cards right, she might just get it.

Obito: Hey guys! I found this blue glowing rock!

Sapphire: Put it down Obito! We don't know if it's radioactive or something!

Obito: Aww!

Obito tosses the strange rock away and looks at Ruby who greeted him with a soft smile

Obito: How are you holding up?

Ruby: Fine? I don't know. My heads spinning and I feel sick.

Obito: Do you wanna stop and lie down?

Ruby: No..let's keep going. I'll be fine.

In another section of the tower, Dante walked up to a door and tries to push it open but it didn't budge. He then tried to kick it down but it still stood in place. The ever impatient man Dante was, he pulls out Ebony and Ivory to shoot the door down but was stopped when he heard a shrill, high pitched voice call out from behind him

???: Yoo hoo~!!

Dante turns his head behind him and sees a demonic looking jester standing behind him with a rod in his hands looking at him

???: There's no need to use violence, devil boy.

The half demon ignores the jester and prepares to blow down the door when said jester zips over in front of him

???: Wait, wait, wait, better listen to what others say, lad.

Sighing, Dante puts down his guns and let's the jester talk while he contemplates if he should just shoot him or himself

???: This tower here is very sturdy—

He taps his rod on the large door to prove a point to Dante

???: You see! Your tricks...will do no good. No good!

Dante pushes Ivory into the jesters long nose having enough of his ramblings

Dante: Zip it, or I'll pierce that big nose.

???: That could be a problem.

The jester moves to Dante's side and begins to whisper to him

???: Just hear me out. You've got nothing to lose, right?

Dante turn his head away from the demon as he gives Dante his full name. And it wouldn't surprise anyone on what it was.

???: My name is Jester, and I know a thing or two about this place. That thing there is a power generator for this entire sector.

Jester points over to the stone block sitting next to the door Dante was trying to go through earlier but Dante wasn't listening and was thinking of a billion other things he could be doing right now instead of listening to this guy

Jester: In order to open the door, you need to apply a little SOMETHING to it first. Do you know what THAT is, kid? Or is that too difficult for you? Well let me give you a riddle then kid! What's between my legs and behind me?

Dante: Probably my foot up your ass.

Jester: Oh bob blazes you're a dull little sadist aren't you?

Dante: Yeah I am! And I request some dancing!

Dante shoots at Jesters feet who does a fast jig to dodge the bullets but Dante stops when he gets bored of shooting at Jester who fans himself with his rod

Jester: Wooh! Hah. I hate DDR you know?

Dante: That wasn't DDR. Now dance to the beat and wave your hands together!!

Dante resumes shooting at Jesters feet who sings along with his song

Jester: Forever and forever!! Ahahahaha!!

Sighing, Dante stops shooting Jester and looks at him while he himself was about to blow a fuse

Jester: Whoho! Haha! I prefer a sword to be my partner you know? May I have this dance, my lady?

Dante obliges his request and puts his guns away and pulls out Rebellion and slams it downward on Jester who dodges the sword, causing Dante to hit the power generator in front of him. The room shakes for a second and the door next to him opens up for him

Jester: Bingo!

Dante looks up and sees Jester upside down on the ceiling being annoying as ever towards him

Jester: THAT is WHAT the SOMETHING is! Remember that, kid. Write it in your hand if you don't trust your head!

Jester laughs at Dante who began shooting at him again making Jester dance while fleeing away from him

Dante: Heh, thanks.*sigh* You still pissed me off though.

Dante walks through the door praying that he wasn't too far from the top of the tower so he could end this whole ordeal and go home for a slice of pizza and a good movie while he either kills his brother or puts him in the hospital. The latter choice sounding better as he'd have to deal with the hospital bills.

Dante: God I hope he's actually up here and I'm not just doing this on a hunch. Wait...if he's not at Beacon...then could he be at our old house? Ohh fuck! No! Y-oh shit if he is and I'm here on a dumb quest! And I'm not getting paid for it!! Dammit!! Oh now I'm pissed!

Dante walks through the hallway and into a large room with a strange fountain adorned with demonic birds in the center of it

Jester: Thanks for destroying the lock for me, devil boy! And welcome to Hell! Please accept my gift.

The fountain began pouring blood into the basin above the statues and it overflowed onto the statues

Jester: Don't be humble, just take it! After all we're buddies, aren't we?!

Jester laughs as the statues come to life and fly around the room screeching as one of them goes to kill Dante but he just shrugs and kicks Rebellion upwards from his back and the spinning blade cuts the devil bird in two only it wasn't dead as the two halves became new demonic creatures. Once again, a demon bird tried to kill Dante but he just slices it and it crashes into the wall behind him, splattering blood everywhere

Dante: Well, isn't that special? To be honest, I was expecting something a little better than this.

Dante puts Rebellion over his shoulders as he walks away from the birds as the one that was draped over the wall began to slide down to the floor revealing its blood has created a five where it impacted the wall.

Dante: You know I always believed that Stinger solved everything but I guess you have to walk before you can Stinger. Or in this case—

Dante pulls out Ebony and Ivory from his back and shoots at one of the flying demons until it became a statue again which allowed him to destroy it with a Stinger

Dante: Shoot.

A quick battle of shooting and Stingering later and Dante walks around the long hallway and sees a portal open up on the ground that he looks down and sees an arena where Jester pops out into the center and bows

Jester: Welcome to Hell, devil boy!

Dante: Nope.

Dante hops over the portal and climbs up the side of the wall and walks through a set of large red double doors

Dante: Ain't got time for whatever that is. Okay! Now that I took a long detour and got the important item off screen, I can now get across this invisible bridge.

Dante hums and walks across said invisible bridge to the next room behind a yellow door and gets on an elevator. As it ascends up the tower, four demons land around him

Dante: Oh man, I just love company~! But this thing has a weight capacity so I'm gonna need you to go—STINGER!!

One quick battle later and Dante walked through a set of doors and into a large room filled with swords and treasure. At the end of the room stood two large headless statues holding swords with chains connecting the two

Dante: Wow, this place is rich!

Two voices laughed out at Dante's joke and he looks up two see two headless demons on top of the statues holding sword with faces at the end of the grips

Blue Demon: Look brother! It has been ages, but we finally have company!

Red Demon: I see that!

Blue Demon: We must entertain our guest!

Red Demon: You're right! We have to be gracious hosts!

Blue Demon: Uh, what should we do?

Red Demon: How should I know? We need to come up with something!

Dante:*sigh*

Blue Demon: Brother, our guest is..sighing.

Red Demon: Sigh? What is sigh?

Dante paces back and forth, his anger boiling as the two demon brothers talked with each other

Blue Demon: Well, a sigh is when—

Dante: Enough already! How long are you two gonna keep carrying on like this? In case you didn't get the hint, I'll spell it out. Your GUEST wants to go through. Got it!

The room began to shake as the two demons began to rise from their positions

Red Demon: Our job here is to guard this door!

Blue Demon: That's right! We cannot let you pass!

The two demons jumped down and they began to battle Dante in a two on one with the red demon combining fire with his attacks while the blue one uses wind

Dante uses Stinger to attack the red demon but he blocks the attack and his brother slices Dante up his torso and knocks him away from his brother

Dante:*grunt* Blocking huh? Okay then..let's see just how of a good dog you are boy.

Dante pulls out Cerberus and whips it around him as the blue demon charges at him and brings his sword down at Dante who backs off and jumps at it with a spinning slam attack from Cerberus that knocks the sword from his hands, causing the demon to grow weak and take a knee which lets Dante get a few hits in before the brother of the demon jumps in and slams his sword down in front of his brother and sends a wave of fire at Dante who slammed Cerberus into the ground and creates a big chunk of ice that blocks the flames

The blue demon jumps back and picks up his sword and he joins his brother in fighting Dante who despite the numbers disadvantage, was holding his own against the brothers with him switching between Rebellion and Cerberus

Dante jumps in the air and throws the chain of Cerberus around the arm of the red demon and he pulls himself towards it and stabs Rebellion through its chest and its body explodes, flinging its sword away.

The blue demon roars and jumps over to his fallen brothers sword and wields the power of both fire and wind and uses it to create a tornado of flames that he throws at Dante who smirks and spins Cerberus in front of him and creates of a vortex of ice that clashes with the tornado and they create a cloud of mist

Dante gets in a defensive pose and waits for the demon to jump out of the smoke but he slices through the smoke making Dante back up and shoot him. The demon guards himself with both swords and rushes Dante while he blocks

Dante: Now I'm officially ticked off!

Dante swings Rebellion sideways and rushes the demon and the two slice past each other. Silence filled the room as one waits for the other to fall but sadly, the last demon brother explodes and both swords fall to the ground and land where the heads at the end of them were facing upwards.

Dante: Heh, that's what happens when you tick me off.

Dante begins walking towards the door but he stops immediately when the voices of the two demons he thought he killed call out to him

Blue Sword: Wait!

Red Sword: Yes, wait! We have been waiting for a very long time!

Blue Sword: Yes, a very long time.

Red Sword: For someone stronger than us.

Blue Sword: Someone who can control us.

Red Sword: My name is Agni!

Blue Sword: And my name is Rudra! You shall take us with you!

Agni&Rudra: We could be of great help to you!

Dante hums and thinks to himself before coming to a decision

Dante: Okay, but on one condition.

Rudra: What is it?

Agni: Yes! Name it!

Dante: No talking.

Agni&Rudra: Fair enough. As you wish.

Dante smirks and picks up both scimitar and wields the power of fire and wind with him swinging both swords and then combining them into a double bladed sword that he spins around before posing with the two swords

Rudra: Impressive.

Dante smacks the two heads together and chews them out for breaking his one rule with them

Dante: No. Talking!

Agni and Rudra both stay silent which makes Dante smile and he puts them both away and continues his trek up the tower

The girl from before walks through a section of the tower with a gun in her hands. A demon creeps around her in the shadows and it and other demons attack her trying to swarm her. Sadly for them, this girl wasn't a novice when it comes to fighting as she dodges their attacks and kills a few of them while sitting on one of their scythes

She pulls out two grenades and pulls the pins on them, winking as she pushes them in the mouths of two demons in front of her and jumps up as they explode. Using acrobatic with her fighting, she jumps around shooting and killing the demons around her as she hangs on the discarded scythes of the demons she's killed

???: Hah!

The girl pulls out her rocket launcher and fires it at the ground, using the shockwaves of the explosion to lift her up and escape death. Once she lands, she smirks at her handiwork and walks away where her rocket landed, leaving a six etched in the ground with scorch marks

Outside, the girl reloads all of her guns and looks around before standing up and continues on her journey when Arkham appears behind her and makes himself known to her

Arkham: Well well...

The girl turns around and points her pistol at Arkham

Arkham: You've grown stronger.

???: Go to hell!

Arkham: You point a gun at me? Your own kin? Your dear papa?

???: The only family I ever had was my mother, and she's dead!

The girl shoots at Arkham, revealed to be both father and daughter. She blinks and looks in shock that Arkham had disappeared as soon as she looked away

Arkham: You break my heart!

The girl pulls out a sub machine gun and looks around for the origin of Arkhams voice as it echoes around

Arkham: After all, it was I who gave you your name...

She looks up and points her guns at Arkham who was looking down at her from the ceiling

Arkham: ...my darling daughter!

Her fingers about to pull on the trigger, Arkham drops his book on his daughters face making her cry out in shock as Arkham lands behind her and grabs her arm. He then throws his daughter off the edge of the tower and looks down as she shoots him while falling, a bullet grazing his cheek

Dante walks out onto a destroyed balcony singing a song to himself while he takes a second to rest

Dante: It's raining girls..hallelujah! It's raining girls! Hallelu-WHOA!

Dante catches the girl by the leg before she could fall any further and smirks at her while she points her guns at him

Dante: Well, this is my kind of rain~ No wonder the sky looks so funny today.

???: Let me go!

Dante: Let you go? Aha, but it'd be just a waste if you ended up as a pretty stain.

The girl shoots Dante in the head, making him drop her. She pulls out the rocket launcher from her back and stabs the bayonet on it into the side of the tower, sighing in relief that she was away from that white haired creep

Dante: What the hell was that for?!

His voice yelling down to her startles the girl. She looks up and sees Dante leaning over the side of the balcony yelling at her from above

Dante: Here I am trying to help you, and you show your thanks by shooting me?!

The girl shoots Dante again but he catches the bullet in his mouth and looks at her disappointed and spits out the bullet

Dante: Whatever. Do as you please

Dante scoffs at the girl and walks away, talking to himself as he cleans the blood off his forehead

Dante: I'm beginning to think I should just stick to one black haired hottie.

???: So he's a demon too..

Yang: Uh...little help?

The girl gasps and looks down seeing Yang hanging on for dear life

Yang: Hi~

???: H-hi?

Yang: I'm Yang. Uh...what's your name?

???: M-...never mind. Here.

She puts away her gun and helps Yang up on her rocket launcher

???: What the heck are you doing up here?

Yang: I'm trying to find a white haired guy. You see him?

???: I just shot someone who matches that description.

Yang: Was he wearing blue?

???: No, red. There's two of those demons?

Yang: They're not demons. Well...half demons.

???: They're still demons. Come on.

The girl and Yang both climb up the tower and make it to the balcony where Dante was and sigh in relief that they didn't fall off

Yang: Thanks a lot. Well, see ya.

???: Wait! We should stick together. There's demons everywhere here.

Yang: As much as I'd love to spend time with you, I have a mission.

???: As do I! You want to find your friend,I want to find someone too. Maybe we can help each other.

Yang: Okay then. How?

Dominic walks around the depths of the Temen Ni Gru by himself, taking a second to read his book while Yang and the girl secretly watch him from above behind statues. They nod to each other and Yang jumps down in front of Dominic

Dominic: I knew you'd come here..

Yang: Dominic. I'm not here to fight. I just...want to talk.

Dominic: Oh?

Yang: Yes. Please..just talk to me.

Dominic: And why would I do that? Earlier you stated that you hated me. Not to mention you gave me quite the nasty punch to the face.

Yang: I was angry, okay? I..didn't understand what I was feeling at the time.

Dominic: And what do you feel now?

Yang: I feel..like I want to understand you. Dom, I know what happened to you.

Dominic: And now you feel sorry for me. Aww~

Yang: Dominic! I'm...I'm serious about this. Please...I want to know what happened to Summer. You're the only one who can tell us what happened that day.

Dominic sighed and closes his book shut, patting the area beside him. Yang walks over and sits down beside him

Dominic: I...did not mean to run away. Every day I curse myself for being a coward. Even as a child I had power. That power could have helped Summer. But I only ran away while she fought off the Grimm. They would have been so easy to defeat with me by her side! But I did what she told me to, and I ran.

Yang: She..told you to run away?

Dominic: Of course. She thought of getting me to safety over her own life. She truly was a good person. Another good soul taken away from this world because..of my existence.

Dominic's hand traces of his book as he closed his eyes remembering that day. Meeting Summer, being scared of her but she did what any mother would do, and took care of him. Some kid with a sword and she took care of him like he was her own. The horrible sound of her screams played in his mind on repeat.

Yang: Dom...

Yang put her hand on his and the two looked at each other in the eye

Yang: I'm sorry..I..I overrated. And I shouldn't have said those things to you.

Dominic: No...I don't deserve your sympathy. All this...is my doing. I do this for selfish reasons Yang.

Yang: Why? Why did you do this? What's it for?

Dominic: Temen Ni Gru. This tower was once a portal to the demon world. I'm going to use it to acquire something my father left in his home long ago. Power. His power.

Yang: Are you trying to rule the world?

Dominic: What? No. N-never! This was my mothers home. She loved this planet and the people in it. All I want is to be left alone. That power will give me that. I'm...scared Yang. Scared of this path I have chosen. I don't want anyone to die...I just want my bounty and that's it. I'll return home to you all afterwards. If you hate me then so be it. I've made peace with myself for that outcome.

Tears begin to build up in his eyes causing Yang to put a hand on his face and turn his head to look at her. Both look at each other and begin to move closer to each other when the girl comes up from behind and puts a rag over Dominic's nose and mouth

???: Nice work!! Urgh!! Stop squirming demon!

Dominic grunts while the feeling of lightheadedness was beginning to overtake him and he shakes his body violently and throws the girl to the floor and throws away the rag

Dominic:*panting* Damn human!!

Going to punch her, Yang grabs his arm and he looks at her and the last thing he saw was her fist going for his face.

An unconscious Dominic was laid out on the floor while the girl and Yang look at him

???: How pathetic. Come on, let's get him ready for questioning.

Yang: .......

???: Well? Oh what? You don't actually believe him do you? He probably killed the woman you were talking about and lied to your face!

Yang: He..he wouldn't do that!

???: He's a demon! All they do is kill. Nice work with the fake kiss too. I can't believe he would think you'd fall for him! Hahaha!!

The girl drags Dominic away with Yang following her

Down the tower were the rest of the group who were taking a rest after fighting an onslaught of demons inside of a small room

Weiss: Has anyone noticed how many puzzles are in this place?

Sapphire: Thank you!

Obito: And what about that last room? It was like there was some kind of power up in there that made the demons ten times more tedious to kill.

Ruby: Don't forget the weird traps...

The group collectively groans upon mentioning the traps that filled the rooms of the tower

Blake: We should have just climbed.

Sapphire: I said we should but y'all didn't want to!

Weiss: Because Ruby and I are wearing skirts!

Sapphire: Then just stay behind everyone! Fuck...

Obito: Guys..! Let's just chill out.

Blake: Did anyone even remember to pack food?

Sapphire: No but I have about forty granola bars on me.

Weiss: Why?!

Sapphire: Because they're absolutely scrumptious.

Ruby reaches out like a baby for one of the aforementioned granola bars and Sapphire conceded to her cuteness and tossed her one

Ruby: Yay~

Weiss: Oh come on!

Sapphire: If you don't shut up I won't give you any.

Weiss pouts and crosses her arms but receives a bar too as well do the others in the group

Sapphire: Hey, how long has it been since we got here?

Blake: About two hours.

Obito: You mean we've been in this place for two hours and we've gotten this far? Haha! We are awesome!

Weiss: Well we are following Dante's path of destruction through here and considering the giant rooms with nothing in them, I'd say he's fought things bigger than an Ursa Major.

Ruby: I hope he's doing okay.

The scene cuts to Dante cheering as he was fighting a flying centipede demon

Sapphire: I'm sure he's fine. Come on, breaks over.

Everyone groans and stands up, cleaning themselves off before they continue walking through the dark tower

Outside, a figure stood on top of a building looking up at the tower. The moonlight shines on them as they looked up towards the top of Temen Ni Gru and smiled

???: You've impressed me student. Now, let's see if living amongst these weaklings has made you soft.

The figure then jumps and begins flying upward to the top of the tower

Here comes a new challenger!
