Bio: Zypher Voland is an American born and raised in Japan. His parents had moved there before he was born as they wanted a fresh start in a brand new part of the world. Growing up in a foreign land, Zypher fell in love with the local culture while studying his roots and learning both native languages. As such, he also developed many different passions including a love for music, martial arts, and even wrestling.

His love for music came from admiration of his lifelong idol, the late great David Bowie. Like many in Zypher's community, it was also thanks to this admiration that Zypher came to terms with his own sexual identity. His parents, of course, knew all along and were fully supportive of him when he decided to come out to them. Music then became a way for him to express himself in ways he wasn't yet fully ready to out in public.

However, things began to change when his father took him to his first live wrestling event. Zypher was drawn by the freedom these athletes had to not only express themselves creatively but also to be whoever they wanted to be in the ring. It brought him back to how David Bowie found his creative expression on stage.

Perhaps, a wrestling stage could be his stage?

Zypher chose to experiment with that possibility by begging his parents to put him in a wrestling school. Already seeing the positive change in their son, they agreed to do so as long as he kept up with his grades. Along with his training, Zypher also started a YouTube channel, sharing his music with the world while earning followers from across the globe. By the time he made his debut, Zypher had begun to grow comfortable with his identity, finding himself in the truest form as wrestling fans everywhere took to his unique character and hybrid skill set. Given what a unique specimen he became in wrestling, as well as what an inspirational figure he became to his people, he took to the name Darkling Gayking.

During his time wrestling in Japan, he met another young wrestler performing under the name Daniel Dalton, who recognized Zypher given that Racheal is a fan of his YouTube channel. Luckily, she was with him in Japan at the time, so they both got to meet him; a fun experience for all of them. The two siblings had also developed a fast-working chemistry with their new friend as well as a quick friendship. They were even the ones to bring him to America for the first time in his life, something he had dreamt of.

What made their bond even stronger was that Zypher got signed to WWE at the same time they did, starting in NXT along with Benjamin. They worked as a tag team a good portion of the time, winning the Dusty Rhodes Classic, becoming tag team champions, and even having some amazing matches over the North American Championship.

Given his popularity with the fans, Zypher got called up early while Daniel chose to remain on NXT for the time being. Unfortunately, he was mostly used as a character rather than a legitimate talent. He was a fun character and highly popular amongst the fans, but never what he could have been. It didn't help that a certain out-of-touch old man with his head stuck in the old days of wrestling, who also didn't know what he was doing half the time, didn't like how feminine Zypher tends to be. Of course, Zypher tends to be a bit of a prankster here and there, especially when it comes to the mistreatment of his friends. Needless to say, karma came around to the old timer on more than one occasion. He always knew it was Zypher, but never had any proof so couldn't do anything. It helped that Racheal often joined in on the pranks. They make quite the duo with their antics.

After Racheal and Ben made their exit, Zypher stayed to at least run out the rest of his time on the Main Roster, working with some magnificent figures on the main show despite Vince's ignorant ways.

However, once his contract is up, he is quite interested to see what this new promotion called AEW has to offer.
