Wills POV

When I got to the dorm I heard scuffling. I walked quietly into the kitchen and pulled my pocket knife from my back pocket. "Nico?!"
"Hey Will! I was just checking to see if the paint was dry, it is, and moving some of my boxes into my roo— WOAH PUT THE FUCKING KNIFE DOWN!" I grin and close the knife, sticking it in my back pocket. He is wearing basically the same thing as yesterday and has a happy meal. "You have a problem Nico... as a 19 year old, emo as shit, male- I don't care how gay you are- you have a weird obsession with happy meals." He laughs. "Will? How many coffees have you had today?" I frown. "2"
"Your lying!"
"6..."
"Told ya! Who had an obsession now?!"
I scowl at him. "Leave me alone!" And with that I stalk into my room. Then I walk back out because I have to get the boxes from my car. I bring up all my small boxes and then then suck up my pride. "Hey Nee-"
"Don't you fucking dare call me 'Neeks' Will." I swallow because fuck Nico is adorable when he swears. Where did that come from?! "-Co will you help me get my heavier stuff?" He nods. "Yeah I need help too. My bed weighs like 7 million pounds." So we lug all of our things up 4 flights of stair. After that we got o our separate rooms. I put my earbuds in but I can't stop thinking about Nico. Why the hell did I think he was cute. My favorite song comes on- Fighter by For King and Country- so I start singing. My phone dings and I check it.

Nico: hey my sister had an emergency and needed me to come pick her up since I have the car. I will be back later
Also Hazel will probably come back with me
Also also I'm getting McDonald's do you want to coffee or something?

Will: yeah grab me some coffee
And I can't wait to meet Hazel is everything alright?

Nico: will do
There's this pretty shitty girl that was a year younger than us...Keli? I think her name was. Anyway she's a bitch and has been bullying Hazel all year. Hazel friend Piper  finally snapped and beat the shit out of her. And Hazel fought with her little minion. Anyway they're both suspended. It was over some dumb shit too. I guy named Frank I think

Will: Go Piper and Hazel they seem like badasses

Nico: Piper is but Hazel is a cinnamon roll She can be a badass but is mostly a cinnamon roll. That's why it's so surprising that she fought that girl.

He leaves me on read because that's a Nicoie thing to do. I assemble my bed under my window long ways. Then I quickly put together my desk and book shelf and slide them to the other end of the room. My walls are blue and all of my furniture is a dark brown. Except for my chair. It's black. I lay out a big colorful carpet in the middle of the cold fake hardwood floors. Then I put my white comforter on my bed along with my yellow sheets and pillow cases. I put all of my books on my shelf and hang up some pictures on a bulletin board that's next to my door. I put my hydra lamp next to my desk and a small lamp on the a nightstand next to my bed. I take a step back. It's simple which will help with my ADHD, but cosy. I got to work on the living room next. I wipe down both of the black ripped leather couches and then duct tape the holes. Then I put some gray couch covers on them. I bring grab my old tv stand that I brought from home and but it between Mine and Nicos doors. Then I put my tv from home on it. I get that set up and then grab another carpet. This one is yellow and black striped. I lay that out over the linoleum. Then I step back seeing how bare it looked. Oh well we'll be living her for the next like 4 years if not longer so we'll collect clutter. In the kitchen I wipe down everything. I clean the floors. "Will I'm coming into the house don't stab me!" I hear nico say through the front door. "K" I say back. The door opens and Nico comes in accompanied by a short black girl with curly, frizzy brown hair and a average height, Native American girl. The short girl sticks out her hand. "Hi! I'm Hazel Levesque! How are you?" She sounds oddly southern to live in New York. She looked about 17 with startling gold eyes and beautiful skin. "I'm good. How are you?"
"I'm fine! My eye hurts a little bit. But I'm good!"
"Hello I'm Piper."
"Oh hey Piper." We shake hands and I watch Nico but some stuff in the fridge.

The girls sit down on the couches and end up falling asleep. "Poor girl have been up since 5:00, of bit earlier." I whispered and covered them with a blanket. Piper had her head in Hazels lap so it was hard to cover them both but we had a limited supply of blankets. I walk back into the kitchen. "Where's my coffee Nico?"
"In the fridge." He. Put. My. Coffee. In. The. Fridge. I run to rescue it quickly dumping it into a coffee cup and putting it into the microwave. He chuckles darkly. "You And Bianca are so alike it hurts." I lift one eyebrow. "Is that bad or good?"
"Depends how you look at it..." I look into his eyes and see a boy so broken it scared that I want to hug him. But I don't. Because he looks like he would stab. A tear slips down his cheek and he quickly blinks. He wipes it away. I start to say something but he cuts me off. "I'm sorry." I hate with all my heart, mind, and soul that he just apologized for being broken. "What happened Nico."
"Um I was 15 and Bianca was 17. She was driving us back home after a movie- I don't remember which one- and it was late. We were taking backroads because Bianca hated big roads. All of a sudden there was a white wolf. It looked silver in the moonlight. Bianca swerved and the car flipped. When it was over I landed upside down and my sister went into cardiac arrest. I called 911 and they took us to the hospital. Bianca never came out of it. So now I want to save people. I want to be that doctor that doesn't just say a hollow 'sorry we couldn't save them' it's not fair to them to say that." He has tears streaming down his face. He's like a piece of glass and one question was a hammer. He's broken. As hurt. But isn't wallowing in self pity and instead wants to help people. "I was really depressed for a long time. Until about a year and a half ago. But I'm better now. I know that Bianca would want time to be happy. And Hazel. Gods Hazel was helpful. I remember she marched into my room and told me that she was my sister and I should have at least said hello to her. Depressed me thought she was a bitch. Real me thinks that she is amazing." I grin though tears and so does he. "Nico...? Can I hug you?" I nods and I hug him. Tightly. Trying to hold the fragile pieces of him together. He hugs me too. And we stay like that for a long time. "Awwwwwwwww!" Sounds two voices from the living room after a while. We blush and let go of each other. The two girls take one look at our tear stained faces and start asking questions. Nico tells them everything is fine and that he's tired and wants to go to bed. Piper and Hazel say they can walk home and he nods heading off to bed. Before they leave Hazel threatens me. "If you hurt my brother I will murder you. I know how here you live." Piper grins and they leave.

Nicos POV

When I get to Hazel she's in the office with Piper. Piper is the first to speak. "The bitch grabbed Hazels hair because she and Frank started dating! So of course I punched her! Fuck Mellie's going to kill me."
"Piper! Don't cuss like that! Nico don't get mad. Is dad going to be mad at me?!" I grin. "Good job girls." I say as the principal comes in. "Ms. McLean and Ms. Levesque are in suspension for 3 days. You were on our papers and were the only one able to come get her. As for Ms. McLean we have called Mellie Hedge. "Hey guys I'm here, I'm here!" Mellie squeaked into view. She had her baby on her hip and her hair was in a bun. She had on a light blue dress and a diaper bag on her shoulder. She hugged both of the girls and smiled at me. "I heard there was a fight?! Is everyone ok?!" I nod. "Just a cat fight."
"Girls are not cats Nico." Says Hazel, ever the feminist. I roll my eyes at her. She sticks her tongue out at me. Suddenly a big Asian guy burst into the office. "Hazel oh gosh I'm so sorry. Are you ok?! Kelli is a twat! Gosh are you ok?" Hazel got up from her chair and hugged him. "Frank! Yes I'm fine. That's my brother, Nico, and that's Mellie. I'm suspended for 3 days." I take it that the whole fight was about this guy. He looks sorta like a linebacker. And a baby. It's an odd sight, my tiny little sister with her arm around this huge guy. I stick out my hand. "I'm Nico. If you hurt her I will hunt you down and-"
"Ahem!"
We all turn to look at the principal.

After she tells Mellie and I some info we leave. When she finds out I'm taking piper back with me Mellie ask if I can take Piper with me because she has to get some work done. I agree and we head off to my house.

*Time skip to 'The Hug'*

Hugging Will was one of the best feeling in the world. He was warm and big and so nice to people.
I head off to bed. When I finally fall asleep I have dream memories.

Dream:

"Hurry, hurry, hurry! Her hearts failing. We need shock pads! Common guys hurry!" The pain hurts. So bad. But I'm not paying attention as they bandage my wrist. They won't let me go in. And Hades isn't here. Where is he?!

Minutes or hours pass. A doctor comes out of the room looking very very upset. He tells me: "we couldn't save her. I'm so sorry." Then I snap. I don't remember what happened but I wake up in a room by myself. I cry. Then it comes back in flashes like a kaleidoscope. The crash. The light. The scream. The pain. Then the people. And the doctors. And the words. "We couldn't save her." Everything. Then I bust a glass jar on the floor. I pick up a big piece and push it into my skin. The pain ground me and I stop floating. I notice a lot of blood is all over me and I look around. I cut myself again. A alarm sounds. Then a doctor runs in. "He hit a vein! He could die. Common guys! Hustle!" And I smile. Because right now what I want most in the world is to die.

The next few weeks I spend in Bianca's room. Hades comes in telling me that I should go outside I scream at him incoherently. He gets the message and closes the door. I hear his footsteps down the stairs.

A few days later I hear a girls voice downstairs. "Hey. Your my dad. And I might live here." A lady's voice starts to talk and I tune them out. Then Hades comes up. And I don't remover what he's says. I just hear the screams of Bianca as she swerved the car. The wolf. It looked silver. At that moment everything was still. As the car flipped I remembered Bianca telling me a story about a goddess. With hunters. Artemis. Then the world smashes. I scream. Really loud. Hades rushes into my room. Hades is on the phone and a ambulance shows up. They take me to the mental hospital. I stay there for weeks. When I come home Bianca's room is cleared and another girl is in there. She's mixed and is painting the green walls of Biancas room grey. I yell at her and she jumps ripping out her earbuds. Then she smiles and starts talking to me and I run to my room. I slam the door very hard and lay in my bed. Missing Bianca.

I wake up screaming and Will rushes into my room. "Hey hey hey shh it's just a bad dream. It's ok." It's so weird. I've know this boy for a day. But it feel like we've been best friends for years. I cry and he hugs me again. I can feel Some if my old hatred to myself come back but I push it down deep.

Will helps me unpack my room to 'get my mind back together.' We put my bed on the wall opposite the window and my desk under my window. My nightstand is next to my bed. That's basically all I have in my room. Will says he has just the thing and brings a big black rug and lays it on the floor. It helps warm up the cold floor. Then Will says he needs to go home to have dinner with his mom and he would see me tomorrow. On the drive home I realize something.

I am hopelessly in love with Will Solace.
