It's game day and Kodie is very nervous. I was sitting on her bed as she chewed her finger nails.

Me: Kodie. Stop pacing.

Kodie: I can't help it.

I pushed her down on her bed and sat on her legs.

Me: But I can.

She grabbed my thighs and slid me up to where I was sitting on her waist.

Kodie: Zoe.

Me: Yes?

Kodie: I'm nervous!

She threw me off her and I bounced off the bed and on to the floor.

Me: Fucking ow!

Kodie: Damn it! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.

She helped me off the floor and I slapped her.

Kodie: Okay , I deserved that.

Me: Yeah you did.

Kodie: But I'm sorry. Still.

Me: It's okay I guess.

Kodie sat on the bed and I looked around her room. I went over to her TV.

Kodie: What are you doing? I have the remote right here.

I looked back at her.

Me: Oh I know , but your gonna teach me how to play Call Of Duty on your ps4.

Kodie: Oh. Okay.

I cut on the system and grabbed the wireless controllers. I went back to the bed. I sat in between Kodie's legs and gave her first controller.

5 minutes later I was already mad cause I couldn't beat her.

Me: Kodie! No fair!

I threw the controller beside me pouting as Kodie paused the game laughing.

Me: It's not funny cause you keep killing me and I don't even know how to move.

Kodie laughed again until I hit her.

Me: Teach me.

Kodie leaned up against my back and put her chin in my neck and grabbing my hands that was still attached to the controller.

Kodie: Okay so t-

They door busted opened and that same teen walked in. The one who asked why we were in her sisters room and Kodie said she wasn't her sister and slammed the door in her face.

Teen: Kodie , mom said come downstairs and bring your little friend.

Kodie: One , that's not your mom , that's my mom and two her names Zoe.

Kodie got up and I got up. She grabbed my hand and we went down the steps and entered the living room. Ms. Williams was laying on the couch eating popcorn and watching some scary movie.

Ms. Williams: Zoe , you didn't have to come down.

Kodie: Naomi said you said for us to come down.

Ms. Williams: No. I said to get just Kodie.

Me: Well I'll be back upstairs trying to beat you.

Kodie: Don't try to hard.

I hit her on the shoulder and went back up the stairs and back into Kodie's room.

( Kodie )

I watched her go back up the stairs.

Mom: Now , I didn't want to say anything but Naomi bought it to my attention.

Me: Brought what to your attention.

I glared at Naomi.

Mom: Well it's quite a few things.

Me: Well say them?

Mom: Well it's bout Zoe.

Me: She didn't do anything to Naomi if that's what your getting at. She doesn't even know her , why would she do anything to her.

Mom: Well I really like Zoe but what she's doing to Naomi is wrong.

Me: What is she doing!?

Mom: Don't yell at me.

I sighed and sat on the coffee table.

Me: What is she doing.

Mom: Naomi said you had asked her to hang out one time , then blew her off for Zoe.

Me: W-

Mom: I'm not done yet. Then she bought it to my attention that Zoe is over here almost everyday.

That's a lie.

Me: That-

Mom: Still not done , now what you will do is tell Zoe to go home and you will hang with Naomi.

Me: Okay first of all mother , I never asked Naomi to hang out with me cause well , I don't like her!

Mom: Don't y-

Me: I'm not done yet and Zoe's over here everyday? No she isn't. She wasn't here yesterday therefore she isn't here everyday.

Mom: K-

Me: Still don't done. Now what I-

I was cut off by footsteps coming down the hall.

Zoe: Maybe I should go.

Naomi: Yeah. Ya think.

Zoe: Shu-

I cut her off by placing a hand over her mouth.

Me: Don't.

She bit my hand and I moved it.

Zoe: Kodie , it may be best if we don't talk again. Your family seems to hate me.

Naomi: Yeah we d-

Mom: Naomi , hush. Zoe , sweetie we don't hate you.

Zoe smiled.

Zoe: It's okay. You don't have to lie. It was nice knowing you Kodie.

Me: Zoe don't go.

Zoe: Kodie , just forget about me okay? I don't want your family to be mad at you cause your dating me and they hate me.

She walked out , closing the door behind her silently. I looked back at mom who was looking at me with sympathy.

Me: I don't want your sympathy.

Mom: Kodie , I'm sorry.

Me: You know? I don't care. You already did it and it's done.

I walked back upstairs and sat on my bed. What the fuck just happened?

( London )

I was sitting with my brother Andre.

Dre: London?

Me: Yeah?

Dre: When is your game?

Me: Tonight.

Dre: What time?

Me: It starts at 7 but we have a early practice at 6. Why? Gotta hot date?

I tickled him making him laugh.

Dre: Well kinda.

Me: Talk to me ugly.

He laughed.

Dre: Well there's this girl at my school name Kasey and she's so beautiful. She loves basketball an-

Me: And you want to take her to my game?

Dre: Well yeah.

Me: Awh. Your finally growing balls.

He laugh and punched me in the arm.

Dre: Whatever but you think dad could pick her up? She had text me and said her mom said it's okay if she goes , if dad can pick her up.

Me: Well I know he's coming to the game so hopefully. Ask him.

??: Ask who what?

We turned our heads to the door and saw dad coming in with some lady.

Me: If you can pick up Dres friend and take them to my game.

Lady: What game?

Dad: Kids , this is Olivia. She's a co worker.

Me: I'm a basketball player.

Olivia: Hey that's pretty cool.

I smiled.

Me: Thanks.

Olivia: Erik , how about we pick them up?

Me: We?

Dad: Kids , maybe you should have a seat for this.

Dre: We're already sitting.

Dad: Right. Well , me and Olivia are more then co workers. We're dating.

Me / Dre: Oh okay. Cool.

Dad: I know me and your mom only broke up last ye-

Dre: Dad , we said okay.

Dad: Kids- Wait what?

I laughed.

Me: We said okay. I like Olivia. She's different. I'm London.

Olivia: Oh I know. your dad can't stop talking bout how proud he is of you. The both of you.

Me and Dre looked at our dad and engaged him in a hug.

Me / Dre: I love you dad.

Dad: I love you both too.

Me: Get in here Olivia.

She walked into the hug.

Dad: I think we can become a happy family.

Me and Dre smiled.

Me: Of course we can.
