Very Fast...(UNEDITED)

Perhaps so much so that it may get confusing, but I am pretty close to finishing this story. Once I do, I’ll go back and edit (MAYBE). Good deal? Great…

Also, if you are only here because of the tag, it is at the very end.

As I walked into the classroom, I avoided any possible contact that could leave me with another vision. I sat down at my seat before any of the other students had entered, my head spinning from exhaustion.

We all had just sat in silence, staring as the sun slowly began to rise. Ladybug was the first to go. Chat Noir was about to say something, but instead chose to take his leave not too soon afterwards. I stayed until the sun had completely risen, my mind blank.

It seemed crazy, unreal. How could I be able to see into the future? Perhaps it will be helpful when in battle, but what will my civilian life be?

Will this be the thing that gives my identity away?

Ugh! Why do I have to be special? I came here with hopes to fit in, not stick out like a sore thumb!

A flash of a barn swept across my eyes, and I jumped to see Nathaniel had his hand waving in my face. I smiled, then moved so he could sit in his seat.

“Are you alright, Sam?” I nodded.

If you exclude the fact that I didn’t sleep last night after traveling through time many times before waking up in your room several times just to learn I have some crazy ability that people only have in books and movies, then yes. I am fine. But of course, I couldn’t tell him the truth. No, instead I have to lie to those whose friendship means something to me.

“Yeah, I’m fine! Are you?” Nathaniel nodded, and I sat back down as he opened his notebook and began to sketch the image of Cochon, Ladybug, and Chat Noir on a rooftop in front of a sunset.

Full disclosure?

I began to panic. Just a bit.

“Wh-When did y-you see them?” He didn’t look at me, his eyes looking at the parchment so calmly.

“Last night. Marc and I were hanging out in the park in the hope of some inspiration, and we saw Cochon drop in. All three of them had a sort of silent reunion.” I stared my tablet down.

“Really?” I realized my voice was a bit too high, but Nath didn’t seem to notice. My phone buzzed, and I looked at the group chat that had completely blown up in the past few days.

Enter the author who wacks Nino over the head with a large book. The girl than apologizes to the book and goes back behind her keyboard. Ah, if only...The author is internally screaming at the idiocy of the characters even though she could’ve made them smarter than they are shown. Does anyone else want to torture these shanks?

I was about to continue reading when I noticed I had a call from a friend that I had nearly forgotten about. I walked out of the room to converse with the American.

“Samantha? What the he’ll? Where have you been? Why haven’t you called me? You moved then never contacted me! Am I that forgettable?” I chuckled at the boy’s concern.

“Rich, I-”

“Then you have the nerve to go missing?”

“Rich!”

“What?”

“How’s your SQUIP?” I heard a bored laugh come from the other end of the phone.

“Ha, ha. You’re a genius. Seriously, what happened?” I couldn’t help but smile at the boy’s voice. Unlike the students here, his voice cracked and we usually laughed about it.

“I was zapped by an akumatized villain and-”

“And you didn’t call me?”

“Sorry, Rich. Next time I get attacked by a villain, I’ll make sure to die AFTER I call you.”

“That’d be great, thanks. I’m glad we cleared that up.”

“So how is-”

“The troop?” I felt a warmth spread across my face. “Oh! John David?” He chuckled, and I smiled nervously.

“Yeah, is he good?”

“He’s fine, but he misses you. He’s almost reached the Life rank.” I could hear in my friend’s voice that he was battling a smile.

“I’m shocked,” I sent the remark with clear sarcasm. “The kid always put scouting before childhood.”

“Except when he was with you.” I could hear the teasing in the tone, despite the fact that the speaker was an ocean away.

“Is he still with Emily?” There was silence as I let out a sigh and leaned on the wall. “I’m fine with it, you know? You don’t have to protect me.”

“But you’re like my little sister, and-”

“And he is like your brother. I should be fine with it, you know? I mean, he’s happy. So I am happy for him.” I had spoken those words to Rich so much, I was beginning to wonder if they had any truth to them. I had to be fine about it, I had been the main cause for their “getting together” in the first place.

“Yeah, but you can’t control your emotions, Sam.”

“I know. I hate you, Rich Butterneck.”

“I hate you, too. Samantha Noir.” I let out a laugh.

“Wow! How many times do I have to tell you I don’t like Chat Noir?”

“As many times as it takes for you to realize you do.” I rolled my eyes at his cheesy comment. “Yeah, I heard it. I saw your interview with him on your blog.” He was interrupted by the ringing of the school bell on my end. “Saved by the bell. Call me later, you hear?”

Tu l’as eu.”

“Ash! You know I failed French.”

“I know, I just don’t care. I’ll phone you later.”

“Are you the Samantha that left me at the side of the road? Because she would never say she’d ‘phone’-”

“First of all, I didn’t leave you at the side of the road. I’ll talk to you later, jerk.”

“I’m quoting you on that!”

I hung up with a cheerful smile and walked back to my seat to watch Nathaniel’s mind, heart, and soul, get skillfully transferred to the paper that he paid more attention to in comparison to the lesson the teacher taught.

I walked out of the school while talking to Daizzi about how I would sneak out to see Master Fu later that night. The kwami also convinced me to tell my mother that I knew about how my father had treated her all those years ago.

I walked through the front door and dropped my school bag on my bed before getting on my phone. I still had a bit longer until my mother was ho

me, so I was going to catch up on the messages from when I was gone.

Ladyblog: nate?

SketchMeister: she never showed

Ladyblog: im sending a nother sp tongiht

Ladyblog: any 1 in?????

Mari: im so sorry my parents need me in the akery

Model Boy: my father wont let me leave the house

Dude: sorry DJ gig

Mari: but i can help once im done at the bakery

Ladyblog: k

That was the end of the messages, and I looked at the time on my phone out of boredom.

4: 30. Great.

“You want to go see Wayzz?” I looked at the enthusiastic Daizzi floating before me.

“Only if you’re up for it!” I smirked, then said a few of my favorite words:

“Daizzi, Mud Roll!”

So…..I realized that I didn’t really like the transformation words. So I changed them. If you think of something better they could be, please comment and let me know!

I used my lasso to transport my alter ego to the apartment in which Master Fu was staying. I opened the door, and a vision pierced through my head as I did.

Unlike the ones before, this one hurt. As the image of a dark skinned man opening the Miracle Box flashed before my eyes, my head felt as if it was splitting in two. I let out a grunt, and I could only vaguely hear my kwami’s voice.

“Master...Akuma ...Travel ...Gift!” I felt a warm hand rest itself on my forehead, and the pain evaporated into the sunset that I saw next; looking over a body of water I remembered from my hometown.

“Sam?” The vision slowly faded to reveal the elderly man kneeling to my level with his hand on my head.

“M-Master?” He took his hand away and helped me to stand. I held my head in one of my hands as the man walked me to a pillow on the ground. “I-I, it has n-never hurt. I,”

“What did you see, Samantha?” I sat down on the floor and rubbed my now painless head.

“I, I don’t know. It was a man with brown skin, he was opening the Miracle Box. I-I’ve been having visions, but this hurt.”

“Hmmm. Have you been involved with any unauthorized time traveling, Samantha?” I looked at Master Fu; now sitting across from me on his own pillow.

“I suppose you could say that. Daizz already suggested this may be a result of the adventure.” Master Fu only nodded, Wayzz glancing nervously between me and Daizzi.

“What have you seen in all?”

“I have seen a ladybug on the nose of a black cat, a barn, the man and the box, a young boy, a goat, my m-mother,” I blinked to hold back a tear as I cleared my throat. “I, uh, saw her death, and my, father,” I stopped and blinked. I would not cry, it was in the past. “And that is all that I can remember at this exact moment.” Master Fu seemed to be concentrating, and I began to worry that there was nothing he could do. Not that I expected him to be able to do anything, what could he do?

“Are these all visions of the past?” I shook my head in response to Wayzz’s question while Daizz answered for me verbally.

“She saw her mother’s death, which means she can see the future.” I nodded and placed my hands at the back of my neck.

“Yep.” Master Fu’s expression turned serious, and that in itself frightened me.

“Do Ladybug and Chat Noir know?” The man’s voice sounded very worrisome, and that did nothing to calm my nerves.

“Yes?” My voice cracked when I said it, and my mind wandered to the time when I laughed at my older cousin for his voice cracking. Why is my mind so ...This???

“You must be very careful, Samantha. The best thing for you to do is learn to pretend as if nothing happens. As Cochon, you can use it to your advantage. Is it true you know the identity of Ladybug?” I nodded. “Okay, just be careful and try your best not to touch Chat Noir, for that may be cat-astrophic.” His eyes softened, and I let out a nervous smile.

“How long have you been waiting for the perfect opportunity to make a cat pun?” I smirked and the man answered with a smile and eyes closed.

“Since I handed out the Miraculouses.” We chuckled, and Daizz and Wayzz (I just noticed it...) began chasing each other around the room. My phone buzzed, and I realized I had only ten minutes until my mother would arrive back at the house.

“Goodbye, Master. Please stay well.” I stood and motioned for Daizzi to follow.

“You, too, Samantha.” I walked out the door and transformed; hopping out the window nearby.

“Hose down,” I whispered to detransform. I grabbed my tablet out of my bag and began pretending to work on math as my mother opened the door to check up on me.

We both exchanged smiles, and she closed the door once more. With the help of a special kwami that shall remain anonymous, I was able to finish my homework in under two hours. I walked out of my room to the smell of Mexican food.

“I made tamales, Salmon. You want some?” I nodded with an enthusiastic smile. If she was going to die, I was going to be the best daughter she could ask for. It just so happened I would start during the same day she made one of my favorite dishes.

“Yeah! It seems like it’s been so long since we’ve had them.” I went into the kitchen to help, despite the fact that she had done everything except put the food on plates. She had made the rice, the shell, salsa, everything that goes with the meal as if it were in a restaurant.

“Mom?” We had sat on the couch, both eating the food whilst watching some random channel.

“Hmm?”

“I know,” I took a deep breath. I was going to do it. I was going to tell her. “I, I know I don’t tell you enough how much I appreciate you.” She took me into a side hug as I awkwardly smiled.

“I appreciate you saying that.”

_______________

The next morning I got a note in my locker.

“What is it, Sam?” I squinted my eyes to read the small cursive that was scribbled on the paper.

Think fast, or you’ll lose your friends.

As I read that last word, I received a vision that sent a minor headache.

Lila was speaking to Nathaniel in the locker room - not too far from me. The girl was smiling, almost as if she was nervous.

“Would you like to go to the dance with me?” I felt sick and upset, and the headache began to increase.

“Sure, that’d be great!” As he answered, the vision seemed to morph into a seperate illusion.

This time, my head hurt even more, and I began massaging my forehead to help ease the pain. In place of Nath, Adrien stood nervously.

“Hey, Adrien! I was wondering if you’d like to go to the dance with me?” The boy cringed, my head pounding.

“Sure, I-” The pain pierced through my head as I watched his figure glitch back to the position it was in just a few moments before.

“No thanks, Lie la. I’m already going with Marinette.” He glitched again.

“Thanks for the offer, but Sam asked me first.”

The entire scene began to move backwards as Lie la walked out of the room and Chloe stepped in with Sabrina.

“Adrikins! Do you want to go to the dance with me? Daddy’s already scheduled for a limo to pick us up.”

“Sam?”

I slammed my locker door shut, snapping me out of the nightmare that was my brain. I noticed Marinette was standing there with a confused and worried expression on her face.

“Have you asked Adrien to the dance yet?” I didn’t have the time to think about how abrupt and sudden that might have seemed to her. I knew there would be trouble if Adrien agreed to go with Lie la.

The girl’s face grew red as blood that had been exposed to oxygen. “Wha-I-Bu-Ha, ha, ha. Ha?” Her eyes were shifting nervously to avoid my own, and I noticed she had begun to fiddle with her fingers.

“I’ll take that as a ‘No’. Come on.” I grabbed her arm and dragged her into the classroom where I sat her down in Nathaniel’s empty seat. There was no way I was going to allow Lie la to hurt one of my friends.

“Wha-What are you doing?” I was pulling out a piece of paper and my quill and writing to complete my evil plan that had my wheels turning for a few days, I just had yet to put it into motion.

“Doing what nearly anyone else would do.”

_________________

“Hey, Marinette.” Adrien entered the class and sent the girl a wave that made her smile like she had a hanger in her mouth. I slapped the side of her arm, and she waved back to him in a robotic way. Out of frustration, I slammed my head on the table before stepping into the pathway. I dragged Mari along with me despite her hesitation. In her hands, she had a letter. She held such a tight grip on the paper that her fingers were on the verge of ripping through it.

“Hey, Adrien! Marinette,” I gave her a small elbow to the arm. “Go tell Adrien what you wanted to say.” She hesitated, and I pushed her down the steps. Being the girl she is, she tripped and flew down the last few steps.

“Woah!” Adrien caught her by her arms, and she just blushed even harder as she pushed him away. “Are you alright?”

“You fine, are I’m?” Her eyes widened, and she hid her face in her hands. I let out a sigh of annoyance as I walked down and grabbed her wrist that had the letter in it. She sent me a fearful glance, and I pulled her into a side hug. I guided the letter to Adrien, who raised an eyebrow.

“What’s this?” He took it and began reading it as Lie la walked in.

“For a letter you!” I walked away from the aggravating teens and approached Lie la with the note from my locker in my hand.

“I assume this is from you?” She took it from me with false confusion and let out a gasp.

“I could never write such a horrible thing! We should report this to Mr. Damocles!” I snatched the small paper from her and sent her as much attitude as I could muster.

“Don’t lie to me, because it isn’t a nice color on you. It actually makes you look worse.” I crossed my arms and shifted my weight to one leg. “You stay away from Nathaniel and Adrien, or I’ll tell Mr. Damocles that you were bullying Marinette.” She looked shocked for only a moment, before smirking.

“I don’t care what you say, but I have the power to make sure you get sent back to America. You can’t threaten me, because you don’t have what it takes to go through with your threats.” I growled at the girl as she walked away.

For only a moment, I saw an image of a female version of Hawk Moth. Before I could figure out exactly what I had seen, Adrien’s voice interrupted.

“Sure! It’ll be awesome to go to my first school dance with one of my closest friends.” Adrien put the paper in his back pocket and pat Mari’s shoulder before sitting in his seat.

Marinette was frozen, her face blank. I walked towards her and rested my elbow on her shoulder. “You just got yourself a date to the dance. Congrats, Ladybug.” I whispered the last word as to ensure only she heard.

“No, but, I-” She began stuttering random nonsense, and I helped the shocked girl sit in her seat. Lie la was sitting in the row next to where Nath and I sat, which made me smile. Even if she said I couldn’t go through with my words, I still had my point made.

________________

The class had started to fill with students, leaving very little silence - if any. Nathaniel and Marc entered, and Lie la and I glanced at each other. I remembered the sight of the red head accepting the devil’s offer. As the boys began walking up the steps, deep into conversation, I stood in the way of Lie la and smiled an innocent smile.

“Hey, could we talk in the locker room real quick?” The two exchanged glances, but Nath nodded while his partner glanced nervously at the ground. “Great!” I put my arms around each one of their necks and began guiding them to the lockers.

_______________

My heart was pounding, and I was really freaking nervous. I wouldn’t let it show, for I was just trying not to get a vision whilst touching the boys. I was thinking about Alya grilling Marinette for details, Nino punching Adrien’s arm, John David-NO! Not John, or Rich. I thought about the American flag. I thought about Marinette’s dress, Adrien’s suit. Nino’s vest.

We finally reached the destination and I released Nath and Marc from my arms so I could stand face-to-face with them. I put my palms together and focused on breathing and talking.

“W-Want to go to the dance with me?” Marc looked at me with surprise, as did Nath. Nathaniel had a bit more excitement, and that made me smile a weak grin.

“B-Both of us?” Marc asked with a nervous tone.

“Well, I just assumed since we were going to be staying the night at the same place, and Alya is going with Nino, and Marinette is going with Adrien,” I glanced at Nathaniel for just a mere second to see his reaction. The only change was that the gleam in his eye dimmed just a notch or two. “So,” I began awkwardly and slowly. “What do you boys say?” I held my arms with my palms facing the ceiling to resemble a scale of sorts. I seesawed my arms in anticipation.

Nathaniel glanced to Marc, who just tensed his shoulders up and hugged his book even tighter. I noticed his knuckles changing a shade lighter than his natural skin color. The boy with red hair then looked to me with a mix between excitement and disappointment.

“Sounds like fun.”

“Great! What could go wrong?”

Well...Since you asked...

Note from the Author:

So, I realized that I don’t have the patience to wait until I type the rest of the story to publish this. I have Wattpad on my tablet, but I am using my school Chromebook to type the stories for as long as I can. So, I am typing this in Google Docs, which means that I have an actual page count. I am almost transferring the first part, but just the unfinished bit I have is TWELVE PAGES.

Don’t think I’m just copying and pasting, oh no. Because, that would be too easy, right? I have both my tablet and computer open at the same time, and listening to music as well. So...That is how I spend my free time. l:’D

In case you were wondering, this has taken up seventeen pages. When I go back and edit, I’ll get rid of the author notes at the end and leave only the quotes. Good deal? GrEaT.

This isn’t relevant, but comment here if there is any music you suggest I listen to, books to read, movies/shows (on YouTube or Netflix), or any Wattpad stories. That’s all for now, but I just wanted you to know how my camping went. IT WAS AWESOME! I got to help retire the American flags, some state flags, and I have almost reached the Tenderfoot rank. I just have to do a Board Review on Wednesday, then I’ll have done something with my life!

Sorry for the slow update, but I published the prologue for Kwami Therapy, so check that out. Also, read Sweet_TomatoChild Reaction to Miraculous Ladybug. It’s really good, and there is a character featured that may seem a bit familiar…

If it isn’t that account, she has a second one. It really is a good, so look in my (very long) reading list. Miraculous_Tomato

This was completely unasked for, but this Hufflepuff deserves more followers for all of her Miraculous writing.
