Cochon Begins
As Chat Noir left, I gathered my thoughts. I was in a different place then I last remembered, "Hey, are you alright?" Ladybug and Cat Noir just pounded it out, and their jewelry was blinking, so they had just used their special powers. "Hey," I looked at Ladybug who was kneeling before me.
"Ladybug?" She offered her hand to help me up, but I refused it. " I'm fine, I-" I tried to stand, but my legs gave out. I laughed it off hysterically, Ladybug holding me upright.
"I think you-," her earrings interrupted her. I stood up properly as Ladybug gently released me. "I have to go. Be careful!" She exclaimed as she swung on her yo-yo out the window.
"We are going home," my mother grabbed my wrist, and dragged me out of Adrien's bedroom. I heard footsteps as we walked down the steps, but I stared at my feet. Why was I akumatized? My mother was upset before I was. Was Hawk Moth waiting for me? What was his purpose? My mother let go of me in front of our car. I got in, and from the Agreste mansion to my room, my mom lectured me. She eventually began to calm down, just as she always did. We rarely fought, but we weren't close, I still considered her a friend.
We walked up to the second floor where my mom was renting. It was a two bedroom, small apartment space with a large window. The kitchen was to the right of you when you walked in, the furniture and television place to the left. At the end of the small hallway was my mom's room which connected to a laundry room. Just before that was the bathroom to the right, and my room was right across the bathroom. I walked to my room which remained filled with boxes, all containing my belongings. We had just gotten here in Saturday, and we used yesterday to get used to the time change.
I opened my backpack to get my tablet for the little homework I still had to do. Astronomy. The stylus dropped to the bottom of my bag, so I had to fish for it. I had six notebooks, my crunched up bag of chips -and a red box? I opened it, my curiosity taking over. The moment the box opened, I was blinded by a pink light. When it faded, I saw a creature was staring at me.
"What are you?" I asked it, intrigued. It was mainly pink with a large black spot covering one of it's eyes. It looked at me and floated up to my face.
"Woah, you're pretty, Samantha!" It was a high pitched voice that made me smile. The creature had ears that resembled a pig's. "Oh, where are my manners? I'm Daizzi!" He backed up, a smile on his face.
"How do you know my name? And what are you?"
"I'm a Kwami, and you have been chosen to be a new superhero to fight along the sides of Ladybug and Cat Noir to defeat Hawk Moth. Your special power is intangibility, and all you have to do to activate it is say the word, 'intangibility'." The kwami was sitting on my bed. I had placed myself on my knees right in front of him. "Once you have used your special power once, you only have five minutes before you change back to your regular self."
"Alright. I think I understand. What do I say to transform and detransform?" If Ladybug and Cat Noir could do it, so could I.
"You must say, 'Daizzi, pig out!'. When you want to go back, just say 'Pig in'. Are you ready to try it?" I nodded. "You have to put the bracelet on." The kwami pointed to the bracelet that had five, white pearls on the chain. I slipped it on my wrist and set up a mirror that showed my body from neck to toes.
"Are you alright?" Crap. My mom.
"It's getting dark, I'm going to sleep now! I love you!" I yelled through the wall.
"Daizzi,-"
"Wait! I want cheese."
"What? What kind? Why?"
"You can only transform if I have enough energy, and ever since one of my fellow kwamis gave me a taste of cheese, that has been my food." He was sweet, and I knew he wouldn't cause too much trouble. I grabbed the chips out of my bag and opened it for Daizzi as silently as I could.
"I'm sorry, this will have to do for now." He smiled and dove into the bag, quickly eating the entire bag. Once he was finished, I stood in front of the mirror I had propped up against my wall. " Daizzy, " I took a deep breath. "Pig out!" I watched as a black mask spread across my face, changing my eye color to black with my white area of my eye turning a shade of pink. My hair was pulled from it's usual high ponytail, and I watched as my hair had a tiny of pink at the ends. A rush of black and pink spread from my neck to my toes. It all happened so fast, I was amazed. Once it was over, I realized I was wearing a loose, black jumper with pink sleeves and legging type things that covered my feet. The once white bracelet was now a matching pink. On my hip was a lasso, which made me think of a barn.
"Cochon." I knew that was my new name. When translated into English, it meant "pig". I slowly opened my bedroom and poked my head out. Right above my bracelet was a watch. It was eight, and the sun was going down. My mom had gone to sleep already, mainly because she had to get up at four to leave for work. I stepped out of my bedroom and used my Intangible power, allowing me to go straight through the door. I ran down the steps, enjoying my new sense of freedom. I ran out the door of the apartment complex and chose to take a chance and trust my instincts. I threw one end of my lasso to a light post and watched as it tied itself around the pole. I tugged at my lasso, just to test it's stability. I ended up catapulting my body around the post, my lasso going back to my waist on it's own. I was flying in the air, and I couldn't help screaming.
"No, no, no, no!" I saw I was falling right towards a black figure sitting on a roof. "Daizzi! Stop!" I fell onto the boy, and we rolled together to the side. I had my eyes shut the entire time, so when I opened my eyes to see Chat Noir underneath me, I was a little shocked. I scrambled to my feet, away from him.
"Nice of you to drop in. I was getting lonely right about meow." I felt my face warm up. I smiled, for who couldn't when Chat Noir began with his puns. "Did Ladybug send you? Is there-"
"Hey, black kitty," I held my hand out for a handshake. "I am sorry for falling on you. My name is Cochon, and I am the holder of the pig miraculous." I flashed him a smile, and his green eyes lit up, only for the light to dim. I walked towards him and put my hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong, black kitty?" He looked at me, then sighed.
"Nothing. But if Ladybug didn't send you, that means Master Fu is willing to risk a third miraculous out in the open, which basically means we are in trouble." My bracelet beeped. Black cat had a wide smile on his face. I looked at my bracelet and saw two out of the five pearls had turn from pink to black. "May I just say you look paws-itively pig-tastic in that costume?" He leaned close to me, and my cheeks were burning up. I wrote a blog about him, and now I was going to have to work with him? Gah!
"Why don't we invite your 'Bugaboo' to the party?" I asked, pushing his nose away as I said Ladybug's nickname. I looked at him, my shoulder blades back. I was a naturally confident person, and just because I was in front of the boy that I had a mild crush on wasn't going to change that. I took pride in myself, and I felt really good in my outfit.
"I suppose you are correct, though she doesn't enjoy my puns as much." I smiled at Cat Noir, but I also knew he loved-liked Ladybug, though she didn't seem to return the feelings. I wished for him to be happy with the masked girl he chose, not me. The cat pulled out his baton and clicked a few buttons and I heard it ring.
Wait, so Erin has a crush? And it is Cat Noir? How will Ladybug react when she meets the new member? Will she finally get jealous and realize she actually does like her partner as more? What about Adrien and Marinette? Samantha has already effected so many lives, but will she remember to think about herself every once in a while? So many questions, and with every question for me comes an answer: Keep reading. And give me suggestions for what you think I should add! I am open to anything! (Almost. Let's keep this clean, folks!)
