How I met Your Father.
Task: You are to tell the kids of how you first met and fell in love. The point, form a nice love story.
The booklet with this letter has a certain amount of questions. You are to fill it up completely, put it back in the envelope then leave it in the mail box on or before Friday.
Have a good day.
The Gay Project,
The Daddy Project,
Admin.
Andres dropped the letter on the counter then flipped through the booklet. He sensed Vlad over his shoulder and he pushed the booklet out so the man could see better.
"Gala's nationality? Gala's likes? Fyodor's favorite toy? His favorite words?" Vlad said some of the questions out then sighed. "Well, how am I supposed to ask when Gala started her period?"
"This is ridiculous. I only know a handful of these questions," Andres complained then flipped open the next page.
There were more questions any normal parent won't ask unless forced into the situation. And worse, they were men, these questions were getting more embarrassing by the next.
Closing the booklet, Andres didn't care if Vlad was still reading then turned to the man. The Russian stood tall in front of him with his arms crossed over his chest.
Andres took a once over, practically shivering with pleasure with just the thought of them sacking him. Now he had all day with Vlad. All fucking day.
Stretching his hands out, he pulled Vlad closer by his waist band then widened his legs so the man could easily slip between them.
Vlad laughed lightly then dropped his hands beside the man on the counter and Andres smirked when the Russian leaned down to press his forehead with his.
"Why did you have to pull me?" Vlad said then hummed when Andres slipped his hand under his shirt.
"Do I have to say it, mi amor?" he snickered, watching Vlad twitch from his fingers fondling with his addictive nipples. "I now get to have you all day. Just think of all what we could do starting from this night."
Vlad hummed again then caught his hand before he could do similar damage to the other nipple that had to be ripe. "I know. You can finally take Gala out shopping or Fyodor to park. You can go for school runs or even grocery shopping. Wow, I am excited."
Andres pouted and Vlad scoffed before pulling away and heading back to the cooker to turn it off. He stirred the top of the stew because Vlad had once warned him that if he stirred it from the bottom, the stew will burn. Andres watched him dish the spaghetti in their usual ceramic bowl then placed it on the counter. "
"Andres, would you be nice and take zis to dining table? I have to dish stew."
The Colombian shrugged and went around the counter to pick it up. He placed it on the dining table as quick as he could then came back saying, "We need to talk about what the admin said."
"What did Admin say?" He asked without looking back at him.
Not liking the bored tone the man used, he rolled his eyes then moved to stand beside him. That didn't stop Vlad from turning away with the bowl of stew and placing it on the counter. Holding back a grunt, he joined him by the counter but Vlad, again, quickly moved away to the shelves and pretended to be bringing out plates.
It then struck Andres what Vlad was doing. Standing up straight, he stared pointedly at the man. "You're avoiding it."
"I do not know what you are talking about."
"Oh don't play dumb now Vladimir." He groaned then saw Vlad visibly shiver.
The Russian stopped acting then closed the shelf to finally look at Andres. Taking that chance, Andres drew closer to him and the Russian didn't dare look away from him.
"Why don't you want to talk about it?" Andres' voice came out calmer and he placed a hand on Vlad's that was on the counter.
Vlad stared at it and swallowed loudly. "I don't have answer yet."
"How come?"
"Do not ask me how come." He hissed. "I do not have answer, I do not have answer."
Andres immediately pulled away from him as if he had touched fire. He probably had because Vlad felt hot. That meant he was angry. And Andres hated when he was angry. So he said, draping his arms around him and pulling him close. "I won't bring it up again. But if you do pick the ring on that day, I want you to come live with me."
Vlad turned to look at him, his eyes wide with shock. His mouth opened to say something but they closed immediately. Andres really wanted to hear something from him but since he couldn't find the right words, he managed a smile for him and kissed him on his forehead.
"I love you, Vlad. Remember that."
Then he took the ceramic bowl of stew to the dining.
Andres hadn't really planned much about when everything was over but he was too in love with Vlad to just let him go. He was ready to follow Vlad anywhere at this point because he was too whipped to lose him.
...
"Favorite food?"
"Favorite food? Anything Vlad cooks honestly. I'm in love with his cooking."
"Zank you."
Gala grinned at him from where he laid on the couch with Fyo on his chest, but her expression quickly changed when she glanced back at Andres. "Why am I being interrogated please? I haven't murdered anyone in a while."
In an instant, Andres's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean 'in a while'?"
"Uh," She looked around the living room then back at him with a shrug. "Before you adopted me, I was a very violent person. I may or may not have killed my father."
"Hey Fyo, follow me to room. I bought something for you."
Andres didn't take his eyes off Gala who had slowly looked away from his face to his feet. He knew why Vlad was leaving so he didn't bother asking him where he was going.
He continued to stare at the girl seated on the small wooden stool in front of him. He took in her appearance. She was tall, not exactly the most feminine girl he had met and she had very sharp features. She was loud but loved to be alone. Had different types of friends and not just her fellow delinquents.
She may be a bit bad but she wasn't a killer. Andres had seen killers, stared at them in their cold empty eyes. But Gala? She looked like a kitten.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked, her head tilted curiously.
"It doesn't make sense." He dropped the booklet on the couch and leaned forward to touch her cheeks. "How did your father die?"
She looked confused like she hadn't understood the question but then her eyes watered. Andres waited for it to fall but it never did until she told the story.
"I poisoned him," she said. "He asked for a fruit juice and I gave him one and the next thing I know, I'm calling 911 because he was convulsing on the floor. I hadn't even known about his heart condition-"
"What was wrong with him?"
"He-He had a hole in his heart. He was dying. The poison only rushed it."
It still didn't make sense to Andres. If she did it then why was she crying? Did she know she was killing him or was it planned?
"Did you know it was poisoned?" He cupped her face and tilted it to him when she dropped her head.
She sniffed and shook her head. "I was on trial. My mum found a good lawyer and all of that but we lost the case. I had been the one to buy the fruit juice and I was the one to serve it. He died by my hands."
"Oh no, baby." Andres quickly pulled her into a hug and she buried her head in his shoulders. "That can't be true. You didn't kill him. As long as you weren't the one to put the poison in his drink." He couldn't believe the girl had been accused of such a thing. He couldn't believe the little girl had seen the horrors of juvie.
"I know." She shook in his arms and he pulled away to give her a confused look. "I know I didn't kill him. I had three years to realize that. My mum killed him and she put the blame on me. At first she acted like it wasn't my fault and then when I was in juvie, she visited to tell me what a shame I was to her and that I killed her husband. It was her lawyer that figured it all out. I would never kill my dad. I loved him. However, my mum just couldn't wait to have him dead so she could take her inheritance. My dad was giving her his company and all she talked about was ruling it.
"After they persecuted her and released me, child protective service took me and since then I've been at the orphanage. They were going to kick me out soon but then you and dad came and saved me. Thank you."
She went for another hug and Andres held her tightly. That was right. Once you were eighteen, you were supposed to go out and fund for yourself. Poor Gala can't even return back to the orphanage.
"It's alright, Gala. We'll take care of you and I'll protect you. Okay baby girl?"
"I'm eighteen." She chuckled and Andres smiled.
"Doesn't stop you from being my baby girl." He pulled away from her to kiss her forehead, earning a pout from her. He said, "Now go upstairs, take a shower and wash that snort off your face."
"Papa!" she glared at him as she stood up then huffed.
When she was just by the stairs, he turned to her and said, "You don't have to worry about something like that again. You're save and you didn't kill your father."
Gala gave him a small smile then continued up the stairs.
Sighing, Andres picked up the booklet and filled all he knew about Gala before dropping on the table. He didn't notice when Vlad entered the living room until he sat down beside him.
Andres watched him pick up the booklet then said as he read through it, "Did you know about it?"
"Only a little bit. She told me her mum was in prison for killing her dad."
Andres frowned at him. "Did you hear the whole thing?"
He closed the booklet. "Enough to know what was going on. I feel sad for her."
"Do you know about Fyo?" he asked curiously
"He doesn't know his mum or dad. Safe to say, he had been in orphanage since birth."
"Damn."
"Yeah."
They stayed silent for what felt like an hour before Andres threw an arm around Vlad and the Russian moved closer so he could rest his head on the man's shoulder. Andres kissed the top of his head and they both stared quietly at the lame movie playing on the TV.
~::~
Leon had been told Faun the night before he and his dad met at a café in Australia, where Stuart lived. Leon was working on a geological research and Stuart had been nice to help. After a few days of coming over to his house, they seemed to sync together and then Stuart kissed him. Leon hadn't known what to do so he left and ignored the man until the day he had to return back to Canada.
Stuart had stopped him at the airport and proclaimed his love for him. It was weird and cheesy but Leon told Faun he had thought about it and he actually did like the man. So they dated. And it lead to the family they had now.
Faun had laughed for reasons unknown to him and it made him leave the kid's room smiling.
Who would have thought that the next morning, when the kids were chatting during breakfast, they would be talking about the fake love story Stuart and Leon had told them.
"Dad told me they met in Australia." Faun argued.
Mariam shook her head. "No. They met in Quebec. Dad was on a holiday."
"No way." Faun gasped.
"Yeah and Daddy Leon kissed dad first after they came back from a comedy show."
"Comedy show?"
Leon rose a brow at Stuart whose lips hinted at a smile. "Comedy show?" He asked the Aussie who stood at the top of the stairs.
"Australia?" He pretended to be irritated but a smile fell past his lips and he quickly looked away. "Why would you use Australia?"
Leon started up the stairs as he said, "Because I have a house there."
That made Stuart look back at him just when he was at the top of the stairs. "You live there too. Where exactly?"
"Newcastle."
"Really? I live in Sydney."
Leon smirked then moved closer to him, causing Stuart to move back. "I just thought of something."
"What?" Stuart's voice shook as he entered into their room.
"I really really want to hear you say you love me."
Stuart finally stopped moving and Leon snaked his arms around his waist.
"Why?"
"Because I can't wait to say it back." The confused eyes that slowly grew wide with realization made Stuart look absolutely adorable.
Leon couldn't help but lean down and kiss him.
