Chapter ten: school exchange event

After making the proper arrangements and releasing the necessary curses into the field, it was time for (y/n) to watch the exchange event with Yaga and the other supervisors. The young woman got permission from Yaga to bring one of her curses with her, but it had to be a grade two or lower. She brought her largest pollen puff with her, the soft creature sat on her head like a hat as she walked through the courtyard. She saw that the students were ready, but Nobara was upset.
"What's wrong?," (y/n) asked as she walked up to the students.
"Kugisaki thought we were going to Kyoto.," Fushiguro answered.
The silvery-blue haired woman chuckled, "Well, I'm glad that we are not going to Kyoto."
"Because it passes that forest, right?," Panda asked. (Y/n) cut her silver eyes to panda, telling him to be quiet. Panda understood and stopped talking. The light brown haired young woman was still very much upset about not going to Kyoto. She was yelling about how much she hated the previous year's winner, Yuta.
(Y/n) felt a strong mass of curse energy approaching, "Look sharp, everyone."
Maki looked over and saw what the silvery-Blue haired woman spoke of, "They are here."
A group of students from Kyoto walked up the steps. A huge man, a woman who looked like Maki, a girl with blond hair and a broom, a robot, a girl with blue hair and a young man whose face made (y/n) immediately enraged. The silvery-Blue haired woman hid behind panda and gripped his arm to make sure she did not attack the young man on the spot. She noticed that the greetings the Kyoto students had towards the Tokyo students were less than pleasant. She even noticed spiteful glares sent towards her from some of the students.

As the two groups of students verbally squabbled, the sound of hands clapping got their attention. A woman with dark hair, a shrine maiden like outfit and a scar on her face walked up, "Don't fight amongst yourselves. My goodness, you children."
"Utahime-san, it's good to see you.," (y/n) greeted and bowed to the woman after letting go of Panda. The puff on her head chirped and chittered in greeting along with her.
"(Y/n), I did not expect to see you here. Did Yaga-san ask you to help this year?," The woman asked and got a nod from the younger.
"I prepared most of the game for this year. I will also be observing the event along with you.," the silver eyed young woman replied with a smile.
Utahime looked around, "So, where is that Idiot?"
"Satoru is late.," Panda answered.
"As if that idiot would ever show up on time.," Maki spoke in a tone of distaste.
Fushiguro spoke up, "Nobody said that Idiot referred to Gojo-sensei."
'Most of the time, it is for Gojo-san.,' (y/n) thought to herself with a smile. She stood by Utahime and held her curse companion in her arms.
"Be careful with your friend around here.," Utahime said quietly to the pale woman beside her, "Curses are not particularly liked, especially when nobody knows where they come from." The silver eyes of the young woman narrowed a little.
'Is that a threat? I thought we were past this.,' she thought to herself and looked over to a loud clattering sound that was coming closer and closer to them. It was Gojo, she was running towards them with a box on a rolling cart and several creepy souvenir dolls. "Sorry for the wait! I was on a business trip overseas!," the white haired man announced.

(Y/n) smiled from seeing Gojo and his usual happy antics. He gave the creepy dolls to the Kyoto students, but not giving anything to Utahime. Most likely as a way to antagonize her for a bit of fun. This made the black haired woman a little angry at Gojo. But, the white haired man brushed it off to give the final gift to the Tokyo students. The gift was Yuji Itadori. (Y/n) did not know what kind of reaction that Gojo and Yuji wanted, but it did not have a positive one from the Tokyo students. The Kyoto students were too interested in their dolls to care that another student suddenly popped up. The silvery-Blue haired young woman noticed that the principals had walked up at the same time that Gojo was giving out presents, the principal of the Kyoto school, an old man with many piercings on his face, did not seem so happy that Yuji was still alive.
'He must have ordered the execution.,' (y/n) thought to herself as Gojo walked up to the man to lightly taunt him.
"Ah, principal Gakuganji! There you are!," Gojo spoke, "I was worried that you might have had a heart attack out of surprise and die from the shock." The tall man lowered himself down to the old man's height to deliver the taunting message to the enraged elderly man. (Y/n) walked to stand beside Yaga, who looked beside him to her.
"Did you know about this?," the tanned man asked.
"I did.," she answered truthfully.
"Tell me next time if something happens.," Yaga spoke to her with a serious tone. She gave him an obedient nod.
"Go get the observation room ready.," Yaga ordered, "You may visit either team before the game starts at noon." Again, she nodded and walked away to follow orders.
She was stopped by Yaga. He pulled the collar of her blouse over the unhealing bruise on her neck, "Be careful with that."
"Thank you, Yaga-san.," (y/n) replied and continued to the observation room once he allowed her to go.

The pollen puff in her arms made a soft cooing sound as she walked away, going to prepare for the event.
"I know, sweetheart, I'm not going to enjoy seeing them kill those curses either.," the woman replied to the puff, "But we have to endure it. For our own sake." The soft curse snuggled into her arms as she carried it, humming gently to try and soothe her companion. The woman set her friend down on a desk once she arrived at the observation room. She set up the desks and chairs, cleaning the desks and the room so they could use it. The pollen puff that came with her purred as it watched her, chirping at her every so often to get a pet on its soft body.
The silvery blue haired young woman stopped and petted the curse once she was done, "You certainly are needy."
"I'll say.," the voice of a woman spoke and made the silvery-Blue haired (y/n) spin around, ready to defend herself. The woman behind her just smiled as she looked at the younger woman before her.
"I'm not here to kill you or your pet.," the woman spoke with ruby lips.
"Yaga-san told me you would be here, Meimei. He did not tell me you would be here early.," (y/n) sighed and picked up her curse companion. The young woman began to walk out of the room, but was stopped by the older woman holding her hand up.
Meimei cut her eyes towards the younger and deathly pale female, "I was offered a modest sum to have you killed, but a counter offer protected you. I just wanted to give you that warning."
"Thank you for your honesty.," (y/n) replied to the sorcerer next to her, "But you will find that you do not have the power necessary to kill me if you wanted to."

The women passed each other as Meimei went to sit down and (y/n) went to look for the children. She sighed and kept walking, hoping to not run into the principal of the other school. She did not run into the principal, but she was pulled into a different room by Gojo. (Y/n) was about to scold him, but the man placed one hand over her mouth and his finger over his lips.
"Not a sound. Gramps will most likely try to have you and Itadori killed.," Gojo warned as he removed his hand from (y/n)'s mouth, "I just wanted to warn you and give you the go ahead if you need to protect yourself." Gojo's usually smiling and carefree expression was now hard and serious. He must have taken Yuji's first 'death' pretty hard.
The silvery haired young woman stepped back from the blindfolded man, fixing her blouse to cover the bruise on her neck. She knew that Gojo saw it. Yet he never asked about it.
"Don't kill anyone, you just need to incapacitate them.," Gojo said as he pointed his figer at the woman. The silvery blue haired young woman nodded, her silver eyes never left Gojo's face.
"I have another question.," the blindfolded man spoke, "Are you working with curses?"
"The only curses I work with are the Pollens and the one inside me.," (y/n) replied. Gojo got really close to her face before backing up.
"You're not lying.," the man said and turned to leave, "Go and see the students now. Just stay away from the Kyoto students."
(Y/n) gave a nod before running off to go see the students she adored so much. She already knew where they were as Principle Yaga had already told her. The heels of her shoes clicked on the paved walkways. She could feel the curses in the nearby area, she gave her condolences to them as they would be destroyed just for these games. Her pace slowed down as she got close to where the students were. Her hand stopped before she touched the door. Yuji would be upset if he saw her face, all because of that curse that looks like her. Her silver eyes looked down to the warm honey yellow pollen puff.

She turned on her heels and sat on the walkway to listen to the students. (Y/n) petted the pollen puff that was cooing in her arms. Her breaths slowed as she listened to them. She hoped that the students did well in the games. The silvery blue haired young woman smiled a small smile. After listening, she rose to her feet and walked back to the main building. The games would be starting soon. The silver eyed woman looked up to the cawing crows above. Mei Mei was watching. She knew it. The young woman put the large pollen puff on her head and continued to walk back.
"I'm back.," the young young woman announced as she walked into the room where Yaga and the others were.
She sat down next to Gojo and looked at the screens as the games started with the curse in her lap. She picked up her teacup and took a sip before looking at the talismans on the wall. The talismans that would tell them who killed what curse. Her pale fingers ran through the soft fur of the curse she held. Gojo gave a small speech and offered it to Utahime who said a few words before the game officially started.
'Something does not feel right.,' (y/n) thought to herself and cast a glance back to the elderly visiting principal, 'I feel like he has some mischief planned.'
A tag burst into flame, catching the young woman's attention. Her heart sped up from the surprise and from the pain of seeing a curse die. She covered the little eyes of the curse she held. It was cooing and making distressed squeaks. The silver haired woman turned the little curse to face her instead of the screens.
"It's okay. Nobody is going to hurt you.," the deathly pale woman spoke.
She heard an annoyed sigh from Utahime, "Please silence that thing before I do."
(Y/n) placed a finger over the mouth of the small and fluffy curse, "Shh. You're being disruptive."
Her silver eyes cast back up to the screens as she watched the students move from their starting positions. Something in her gut was screaming at her that something was not right.
