A Story Before The Story
........
Have you ever wanted something so bad that all you do is wish and wish and wish some more? Knowing that no matter what you do it would all be for nothing for you shall never get a grasp on the one thing you desire most? I've been there before and honestly there are times I wish I never grasped onto what I desired most. For my desire was one that many people have, or rather those who aren't wizards desire.
But now that I have taken hold of what I desired most, my desire has taken hold of me. My desire was the most beautiful, lush, and elegant rose but every rose has it's thorns. When my desire knew I have taken hold of it was only when it's thorns jutted out, piercing through the hands that held it and becoming one with my soul.
Let's get to what that desire was, you see I am part of a guild, one of the greatest guilds to ever exist. Not only was it the strongest but it gave many who join homes and made them part of their family. The guild goes by the name Fairy Tail, practically everyone knew of this guild whether it be for the love, the parties, the fights, or even the one thing they are infamously known for: An overabundance of property damage.
But that's neither here nor there because we aren't talking about them, not completely, but rather we are are talking about me. Let me introduce myself, hello my name is -------- -----? Strange... Seems I can't remember my name... As well as a lot of things lately... Anyway I joined that guild to try and be a wizard but sadly my magic hadn't manifested yet and because of that I was treated as a thin pane of glass whenever the guild would get rowdy with their fights.
It especially didn't help when the two she demons of Fairy Tail would either ridicule me or tease me because I wanted to get involved. Erza Scarlet with high and mighty attitude and Mirajane Strauss with her sadistic, and at times, downright nasty insults towards. But it wasn't all bad since I was friends with both Natsu Dragneel, a fire dragon slayer in search of his fire dragon parent, and Lisanna Strauss, a takeover wizard who is my best friend and incase you haven't noticed by her name then you'll realize she is related to Mirajane. So of course Mira tends to be even more malicious whenever she sees me with her younger sister.
I don't know when but one day I started to feel less and less welcomed in the guild to the point where I asked the master if I could leave for a bit to train and try to unlock my magic. When the master heard my request to leave I could see the sadness in his eyes, that old man is practically the grand father of those who are part of the guild and a kind one to boot. No doubt he will probably give the guild an earful on how I was treated once I left. But before I did I stood infront of the door to the guild and raised my hand to the sky whilst pointing, this was a promise to see them all soon.
Once I made it home to the ----- ------- in Clover Town I went to see my sister and father to ask for more training in the ----- ways. And so I did just that but sadly... Father grew sick and ill one day before succumbing to his illness. Because of my sister being oldest she was the heiress of the ----- -------.
I can't remember much after that... My head just won't stop pounding it hurts so much that I feel like I might pass out from the pain. What was I talking about again...? Fairy Tail? Like the books? Forget it I don't have time to worry about books I need to reach there before it's too late...
On the way I slowly stumble, trying to keep my footing but this searing pain in my head is making it difficult. I then heard the voice of two girls that are walking by me as I can barely focus on what was being said.
Girl 1: "Hey! Wanna hit up the karaoke place? The new 'Love & Hero' is out today!"
The first girl said excitedly to the other as they continue to walk but the other looked troubled
Girl 2: "Hmm... I'm not feeling up to it today."
She said stopping for a second as a shiver went down her spine before continuing
Girl 2: "This story creeped me out earlier. Do you want to hear it?"
The first girl looked intrigued
Girl 1: "Oh? Sure."
And so the second girl began her tale
Girl 2: "You remember Miss Yamaguchi? She wears those big glasses."
The first girl pondered for a second before a like of familiarity adorned her face before she nodded to the second girl
Girl 2: "I heard she's gone missing."
Worry now addressed the first girls face
Girl 1: "What? No one knows where she is?"
She asked her friend who too wore an equally concerned face
Girl 2: "Nope. She just disappeared. Just up and poofed from the library."
The scene fades to black as the girl continued her story
Girl 2: "One of the student librarians said she was researching something there. But then she vanished."
Girl 1: "But she's super diligent, right?"
Girl 2: "One of the students thought it was weird that she'd up and leave like that. So he checked in on her."
The girl became silent for a moment before continuing
Girl 2: " But when he did..."
The scene is now in front of a desk in a library with the chair, wall, and table covered in blood while what rested on the table was a couple books, some paper, a bag, and the most prominent thing that laid on the table...
...Was a severed right arm...
The arm looked like everything it was in the middle of writing something since it can be seen holding a pencil in it's hand while everything above the elbow was just gone. But one detail stood out from the arm, a peculiar mark of sorts.
Girl 2: " The only thing left... Was her arm."
The camera then zoomed in on the mark.
Girl 2: "It had her really weird scar on it, so it was definitely her arm..."
The mention of the scar had the first girl perplexed as she could've sworn Miss Yamaguchi didn't have one before.
Girl 1: "A scar!?"
The second girl nodded.
Girl 2: "Yeah, it looked like a dog bite. She showed it to me once and told me that she had no idea where it came from."
The scene then changes back to the two girls.
Girl 1: "...For real?"
The first girl's worry then began to turn to disbelief.
Girl 2: "There was a scar like that on Miki's leg, too..."
The first girls eyes widened at the mention of that name.
Girl 1: "Huh? Miki? Wait that's..."
The second girl nodded her head in confirmation.
Girl 2: "The girl who went missing, yeah."
The revelations that a scar has some form of connection to those of the people who started going missing made the first girl nervous.
Girl 1: "That's crazy."
She said with the ever present edge of nervousness in her voice.
Girl 2: "Maybe that rumor is true...The one about the cursed scar."
The mention of a rumor turned the first girls nervousness into fear.
Girl 1: "Cut it out. You're scaring me."
The two girls then began to walk off but not before passing by a somewhat stumbling person. The person was male but on the younger side, he had rather short black hair and wore a variety of dark clothes black hoodie, grey shirt, black pants, black shoes, and black gloves. But if you were to look at his right arm you could see just above his right wrist was a scar in the shape of a dog bite.
'I hear snatches of an idiotic ghost story. They're speaking seriously...but obviously don't believe a word.'
The man passes by the two girls and continues to head to his destination
'They're only killing time. Rumors are the best way to do that.'
The man looks to the sky
'The sun's about to set. It's gotten later than I planned. I shouldn't have stuck around to hear that story. I better hurry.'
The man then feels a white hot burning pain coming from the scar on his wrist.
Just then the pain became too unbearable as everything fades to white and the to black.
The sound of thunder rumbles in the distance throughout the now darkened sky. A huge mansion surrounded by trees aplenty seems to have appeared in front of the man.
'Strange. I'm sure I was just...'
The vision of the man blurs as his ears began to ring
'Ugh my head's swimming. It's almost like I'm drunk. What time is it?'
The man goes to glance at his wrist but realizes that his watch is gone
'Did I put it in my pocket?'
The man searched his pockets but couldn't find anything except for a business card.
In elegant printed letters was a name.
Saya Kujou Spirit Healer
The man turned the card over and on the back was a photo of the mansion.
'I guess this must be Kujou Mansion then?'
Then man began to ponder
'Kujou mansion...Saya Kujou...Those names sound familiar somehow...Only one way to find out.'
The man goes up to knock on the door but stops when he notices something on his wrist.
A rather strange scar...
