"I truly am grateful for your service throughout the years, being my right hand man and my friend but it is no longer needed." Another cold reply, Norton could not muster any words to say but had his glare towards the Royal Guard, there it is again that sinister smile across his face,

Did he cause the Pharaoh's change of heart? That was fast

Did he blackmail him? No that's not it

Upon observation, the Musician was surprised, Naib's eyes were empty and had a tinge of crimson swirling inside of it, Is he being manipulated? The Musician glared at the Royal Guard, With no more words to say, the Musician bowed and leave the throne room

The Duke had received a notice from the High Council that they would handle any complex matter regarding Anima's growing disasters and that the Duke must focus on building both Entity and Lumina's defenses in case of emergency, the Duke had to stay longer in Lumina Kingdom this time. He did not just intend to stay at Lumina, he continuously engaged sexual activity with the Lunar Prince every night or whenever he had a time in the day, he would summon the Prince, just to play with him. The terrible event dawned upon the Lunar Prince, his body cannot contain any more pain he's receiving every day, he often visits Dr. Dyers with the Exorcist. He was being pushed to his limits, Aesop was getting worried,

What will become Eli now if this continues on?

The Lunar Prince cried everyday and every night for it to end, the Exorcist could only bring him comfort and stayed by his side until he fell asleep crying on his bedside.

Aesop's heart was breaking each and every time this Kind Hearted Prince cried in despair, that he decided to open the doors for Eli to meet his mother which he requested from the Duke, Joseph immediately approved of it because the Lunar Prince was very obedient with his desires. Eli was quite happy about the news, both of them visited the Lunar queen together. The Mother and Son finally reunited after 5 years of being hindered to see each other. Aesop took his leave to give both of them some privacy

"My child I am truly glad you are well." The Lunar Queen enveloped her arms affectionately around her son

"I am too Mother" The Prince returned the same gentle and loving hug, his mother had given him

The Lunar queen smiled as she leaned back caressing her son's face,"May I ask that you remove your golden locks for me, My Child, I wish to see those beautiful sapphire eyes of yours"

"I..." The Lunar Prince averted his gaze away from the Lunar Queen

"What's wrong Eli? They did not do anything to hurt you didnt they? The Duke promised us"

"I..."

"Eli, My Child, Why do you look so pale, please tell me..."The Lunar Queen worriedly asked her son, she was preparing for the worst

"I..." In that very moment, Eli broke down in tears, the Lunar Queen knew then and there, he was being mistreated. She hugged her son tightly in her arms once again, waiting for him to calm down. Eli told her mother everything that happened for the past five years, it enraged his mother but she couldn't do anything about it, all she could do was mourn for her son's mistreatment. The Lunar Prince also confessed to his mother about his hidden feelings for the Pharaoh, all these years and how he broke the young prince's heart, the Lunar Queen only smiled softly at him and took his hand in hers, the two removed their locks to reveal their sapphire orbs.

"You should believe, Young Naib a little, My child, you should know that the boy did not have the power to save or protect you, me or our people back then and even with all the power he has right now, he's cursed by the Moon Crystal"

"Cursed?" Eli's sapphire eyes curiously gaze upon his mother's eyes,"You know about the curse Mother?"

"But of course." The Lunar Queen smiled, she knew her son was deprived of any knowledge regarding the secrets that Anima has,"I apologize that we did not tell you anything about the royal secrets and keep these things away from you, It was simply because we fear someday they might use you for greater evil or if the power will consume you and you will be blinded."

"Don't apologize. It was for a good cause, It matters little to me, thank you for telling me your reason, I'm grateful, Mother" Eli smiled brightly, earning a soft giggle from the Lunar Queen

"About the curse, the Pharaoh's of Maharlika, upon summoning the God of Death, they are cursed by being bound in the same destiny that the God of Death has, The selected Pharaoh will never ever set foot to the light again, their vessel and soul are barred inside their Royal Castle, they have no freedom, if ever they break the oath, famine and despair will fall upon the kingdom" The Lunar Queen expounded, the prince was stunned by that revelation and here he thought Naib had sacrificed his life for naught but it is the destiny of the Pharaoh's of Maharlika.

"What!? But Naib's father, the Pharaoh he attended---"

"He was not the pharaoh, he was the Pharaoh's twin"

"I didn't realize.. I mean please continue"

"The Pharaoh whom you saw, Naib's father, he had a twin and that's the real Pharaoh, he did not have any children that is why Naib was chosen for the task, when a royal family in Maharlika turned 16 they will be crowned as the next Pharaoh but Naib was crowned beyond the chosen Pharaoh's age." The Lunar Queen placed her hand on the Lunar Prince cheeks,"The reason is... he wanted to see you." Another revelation that shocked the Lunar Prince,"Naib is surrounded by the gods and goddess they have summoned in their kingdom, I remember one beautiful crimson haired goddess, the Goddess of beauty and war, she was always with the Pharaoh's of Maharlika, she helped strengthen their military."

"Wait, that was a goddess---"Eli's eyes grew wide, he remembered getting jealous over that woman with naib, his face turned flushed, It was just a business thing... maybe, that is why the Goddess was with Naib that time, from all the books he read as a child, Gods and Goddess, whenever they speak, there is no malice in it, they sound like they are flirting or sarcastic but they are genuine with their concerns for the Mortals. That was embarrassing, that stupid misunderstanding. Eli muttered to himself,"Um.. nevermind my reaction, Mother...and?"

"They are all there for his aid. My child, Also Naib told me his feelings for you, through this beautiful pet you have."

"He sent letters to you too?"

"Yes, He was always thinking of you. I believed he loved you all these years but he chose to protect our Kingdoms by swaying those feelings for you, Duty over love. It was painful but because he loves you, he wanted to protect the things you valued the most, never doubt his love, My child."

"Mother...Thank you, I really am glad for this conversation we have."

"I am too and now Eli, I would give you a reward, something strong to protect you and our people, I believe it is time" The Lunar Queen lifted the Lunar Prince's face to meet her sapphire orbs, it turned into pure gold, Eli had his eyes fixed on that shining light in his Mother's eyes.

Oh great goddess who blessed Anima, I beseech you, bless the Lunar Prince with the power of the Sun Crystal, he who protects and aids mankind, to my oath upon you, may you guide him with your light, oh great goddess who blessed Anima

With a sheer light, Eli's eyes turned from sapphire to gold, an immense power surged within his veins, It was invigorating. He knew right there, that the Lunar Royals eyes are doors to their soul, When the transfer ritual was over, They both smiled at each other and shared another embrace

"You will be alright son, I have faith that the goddess will bless such a pure soul like yourself."

Inside the master's quarters, Aesop stands tall, watching as the Duke does his daily job as the leader of both Kingdoms. The Duke noticed the Exorcist discomfort around him and gestured him to come over

"Are you alright, My Dear Aesop?" The Duke smiled at him, It made the Exorcist tremble in fear and sadness, he can't remove that lingering terror whenever he meets the Duke's eyes lately,"I can tell, you are afraid of me, Why is that?"

"No, I'm just tired, Please worry about yourself, you are a busy man after all" The Exorcist replied without looking at the Duke, he is afraid but he can't tell it upfront, he feared, respect and loves him, his feelings were so confusing to the point that he felt everything was wrong but if it's for the Duke, it was right, he don't know anymore.

The Duke stood up and walked towards the Exorcist, lifting his chin up, a grin formed his lips as he directly looked at those longing silver eyes of his. For the Duke, Aesop was his puppet but for Aesop, The Duke was his everything,"Aesop, do you still love me?"

That question made a loud thump in Aesop's heart. He loves him or... he doesn't know anymore? He was being tormented by his thoughts. Without an answer from Aesop, the Duke placed a kiss on his lips, pulling their bodies together, it sent a static motion in Aesop's body but he willingly submitted, how can he not right? He loves the Duke so much, he misses that touch on his lips, The kiss was so painful and bitter, he felt so conflicted but let his mouth agape, letting the Duke enter him, he was waiting for the kiss to deepen but a strong pull from Aesop's arm had him wide eyed

"WHAT THE FUCK AESOP!! Duque hijo de puta!"

(Duke, you son of a bitch!)

In a flash, a strong punch sent the Duke flying across the room, Aesop was baffled it was none other than the Musician from Maharlika, Aesop grabbed him by the arm and shouted,"What the hell are YOU doing here Norton!? Barging inside the Duke's office like that!?"

The Musician let out a sharp sigh and grabbed Aesop by the arm, glaring at him with his onyx eyes slowly hinting a faint glow of purple, Aesop never ever expected something like this in his entire life, the Musician was actually very angry

"¿Qué quieres decir? ¿Qué estoy haciendo aquí? You're being molested by that sick bastard! I can't just stand there and do fucking nothing!"

(WHAT DO YOU MEAN? WHAT AM I DOING HERE!?)

"Will you just please leave me the hell alone!"

"I won't!"

"Stop caring about me! I'm nothing to you!"

"I won't stop even if I die!"

Aesop eyes blinked profusely, Why did Norton care for him so much? he's a lunatic, he don't even know him well in the first place, Norton grabbed Aesop's hand tightly, hiding him from his back as he stare back at the Duke who's lying on the ground, caressing his swollen cheeks, he slowly stood up and stare at the two, A malicious laugh rang across the room

"It seemed like this little Musician has take a liking to you, My Dear Aesop"

"I don't like him, I love him! Get that in that thick skull of yours! Deja de molestarlo, bastardo!" Another curse from the Musician's mouth directed at the Duke

(Bastard! Stop molesting him!)

"I see, I will let this go for now, Monsieur Musician and Aesop..." the Duke turned to Aesop and signaled them to leave, he sighed exasperatedly, dragging Norton by the hand and getting out of the room, the two remained silent and still had their hands in tact. Aesop didn't mind at all, he was too muddled up to argue any further

"Mi vida?" Norton broke the ice, shaking their interlocked hands,"Sorry about earlier, I know you're mad and I---"

"It's alright...Thank you..."

"Thank you?"

"...."

Another silence.

When they reached the guest room, Aesop welcomed Norton inside.

"I need to go to Eli, I'll come back for you." Norton was about to speak up but Aesop continued, "Surely, you didn't travel from Maharlika to Lumina for nothing, this trip must have something urgent, something to do with the Pharaoh perhaps?"

"How did you know?"

"I'll explain later. Take some rest, you will need it."

With that Aesop bid him farewell, he left the premises and headed straight for Eli. The Lunar Prince was reading some books inside his quarters happily, Upon Aesop's arrival, Eli gleefully call out for him but was stopped when Aesop gave him a tight hug

"I'm so sorry Eli! Im so sorry! I wanted to save you! I really really do! Those nights you were harrassed, those nights you cried, I was listening to them all this time, I was hurt a lot! I was angry at myself! You were my friend and I couldn't..." Aesop sobbed and talked so fast, hanging his head on Eli's shoulder, Eli was so surprised by his sudden confession, he knew that Aesop was listening all the time. Aesop never ever asked about what happened between him and the Duke every time he cried, he thought maybe Aesop just respected that kind of privacy, little did he know, his friend was also hurting from his pain. Eli patted Aesop's back comfortingly, he never knew they were both harbouring the same agony.

"Aesop, it's okay..."

"It's NOT okay! You were hurt the most! You were very kind to me and I..."

"Aesop..."

"I will help you escape tonight."

"EHHHHHH!?!?!?! Wait what!?"

Aesop released Eli taking hold of his shoulders tightly,"I have a plan, let's escape together with the Lunar Queen, restore your kingdom back to its original glory and bring the Duke down once and for all."

"That's a big responsibility! How are we able to do that!? That's suicide!"

"The stupid musician is here, he'll help."

"Wow, he really likes you for him to travel all the way here"

"That... that doesn't matter right now!"

"You're blushing though~" the Lunar Prince giggled,"In any case! Okay, we'll escape tonight!"

That day they devised a plan together with Norton, it was taxing and risky but it's the only way to keep them from harm's way. When the night came, Eli and Aesop prepared the things they needed for the escape while Norton waited outside the Palace waiting for Aesop's friend to bring the carriage, apparently this friend of Aesop was a witch from Entity Kingdom and Aesop's childhood friend, she serves a great importance to the Duke and the mysterious friend did not reveal much more about herself

Upon reaching the North Tower to get the Lunar Queen, she refused to leave Lumina Kingdom because as long as she's here, the people will never felt abandoned by the Lunar Royals and the Duke will never harm her because he knew that she's the only one who knows where the Sun Crystal resides but the Duke didn't know the Crystal was already passed onto Eli

With a broken heart, Eli left his mother and escaped with Aesop, he promised to protect the Lunar Prince with his life to reassure the Lunar Queen. The two slipped through the hidden corridors, luckily Aesop memorized the Royal Place's map in case of emergency. When they are nearing the exit, a strong malevolent presence makes the Exorcist halt their tracks.

"So, my little prince wants to escape?"

That cold tone from the Duke's voice echoed the hidden corridors of Lumina Castle, making the Lunar Prince shivered in fear but the Exorcist on the other hand, took the Prince's hand, gripping it tightly, pulling him towards his side and protectively hiding him from the Duke's presence, he unsheathed his sword and breathe as he face the Duke, looking at him with his stern silver eyes

"And what a surprise." The Duke smiled, his eyes shrouded with violent intention, he took his step towards the two escapee, slow in his step making the tension grew heavier for the Lunar Prince and the Exorcist, the exorcist spoke with courage

"My order is to protect the Lunar Prince of Lumina, if you want him, you'll have to go through me."

The Duke laughed maniacally,"You truly are the Lunar Prince's knight in crimson armor, My Dear Aesop." he shook his head, still had that antagonistic smirk plastered on his face,"So, loyal to your orders, just like a little puppet you are, I really admire that about you."

Aesop's frowned by the Duke's declaration but still had his glare towards him, preparing to attack if he needed to, he won't hand the Lunar Prince to him, over his dead body. The Duke raised his hand revealing a beautiful canary crystal and raised it in front of the Exorcist and the Lunar Prince

"By the power vested in me, the protector of the Star Crystal, Oh grant me your will." With the relevance of the crystal and the Duke's mystical enchantment, Aesop's silver eyes grew wide,"I will make you submit to me, My Dear Aesop. Bring the Lunar Prince of Lumina to me, Dead or Alive"

Aesop felt a sharp pain in his chest, his head began to writhed in agony, he dropped his crimson blade and fell on his knees, he took hold of his head, gripping it tight and screamed being tormented by the crystal's immense force.

"E.. E-Eli.. RUN! Nggh... RUN NOW! Ahhh!!"

"A-aesop...! No! I'm not leaving you!"

"ELI PLEASE! LEAVE ME! LEAVE!!"

The Exorcist desperately begged the Lunar Prince, he kept pushing him away with all his might while being drained, full of fear for the Lunar Prince's safety. After his painful screams, everything went black. He had his head hanging while kneeling, his shoulder slumped and his hands were lifeless.

He can't think for himself anything anymore,

He lost his desire and goals,

He felt blank and nothing,

He was empty...

"Ae.. sop.. ?" The Lunar Prince shook the Exorcist lightly and stared back at the Duke,"What did you do to him!? Bring Aesop back!" he begged but the Duke just laughed in return

"If you have been obedient this wouldn't happen, look what you've done, My Dear Prince" The Duke gave the Lunar Prince a fake frown, making the Lunar Prince tearing up,"But don't worry my beloved prince, he can still be your friend but he will always be my puppet and my weapon"

The Lunar Prince looked at the Duke with terror. He flinched by the menacing tension, fixing his eyes on his friend, slowly standing up from his position and took hold of his trembling hand, the Lunar Prince stare at those once silver eyes, now they're bloodshot, those pair of eyes looking directly at him, sent a chill down his spine, he felt his heart broken by the sight of his friend, emotionless and his crimson orbs devoid of any life.

"Aesop, will you be a dear and capture the Lunar Prince for me"

"Yes sir." The Exorcist's voice was sharp and cold. He approached the quivering prince and began his hunt.

The Lunar Prince ran as fast as he could but the Exorcist was faster and more agile than a frail prince like Eli, when Aesop gained his advantage and closed his distance to catch the Prince, Eli had his sapphire orbs agape and prepared himself for the violent impact he will receive, when all of a sudden a loud howl rang across the corridors,"Luz!" Eli exclaimed, his beautiful black owl changed in pure white, a sparkling shield to protect both the owl and the Prince from the Exorcist attack, nearing the exit while being protected by Luz, with one last spark of force, Aesop was thrown lightly off the tracks and Eli took hold of his owl while it turned back to its original color, hugging Luz tightly

"Thank you so much. I'll protect you next time."

The Owl's eyes gleamed hearing what Eli just said and nuzzled her little head on his chest as they escaped the premises.

The exit came to light when Eli found the Musician on the other side of the entrance, he frantically ran up to him, making the Musician surprised, Eli hugged him tightly, sobbing in his chest. The Musician did not utter a word and just kept caressing the Lunar Prince head until he calmed down.

"Estará bien, mi príncipe" The Musician spoke, the Lunar Prince raised his head and looked at the man in front of him, pleading behind his golden locks,"What happened, where is Aesop?"

(It will be alright, My Prince)

"He.. the Duke.. he.. He controlled Aesop.. Sniff.. I can't save him.. Help us, please.." Eli's tears keep streaming down his cheeks, Norton wiped them off and hugged him

"I will save him." Norton released Eli and pulled him inside the carriage, closing it before him, He looked at the conductor and smiled,"Take care of him for me, Por favor señorita"

"H-huh?" Eli's head bobbed in front and saw a beautiful brunette hair smiling at him, the lady just nodded and drove the carriage away,"WAIT! We can't leave Aesop and Norton, Lady!"

"Worry not, Little Prince. Believe in your friends." The brunette lady said in calm and reassuring voice

"Who are you?" The Lunar Prince asked curiously

"I am Vera Nair, the Duke's former royal advisor." The brunette lady spoke, her eyes fixed on the path ahead of them.

The Musician rapidly ran towards the Palace corridors, under his calm facade features, his anger was starting to boil up. The idea of using one's Sacred Crystal to manipulate someone and break their own will was disgusting in the eyes of any Gods or Goddess. Without any hesitation, he entered the throne room where he felt the strongest presence of both the Duke and the Exorcist

In the middle, stand the two, the Musician marched in great fury, clenching his fist and glaring at the Duke, with a sharp breath he spoke

"Bring. Him. Back" He demanded sternly

"Once again, you come to bother us." The Duke replied sarcastically, letting out a cynical laugh,"What kind of power or authority do you have to talk to me in such a barbaric manner?"

"...More power and authority than you can ever imagine"

Norton simply answered, slowly approaching the Duke and the Exorcist. His steps were filled with flames, the ground began cracking and the room turned dimmed as the lights flickered from the ceiling, A small trace of marigold petals engulfing his surroundings, his clothing were being painted by purple hues, embroidered with floral patterns, his face turned pale with tattoos resembling a decorated skull in the left part of his face, his onyx orbs was replaced with bright and glowing lilac colors. That human facade he once had, broke down, revealing his God form.

Joseph silently watched Norton's transformation in confusion but... He smiled coldly afterwards.

"So, You are actually the God of Death. I have heard so many things about you, especially your wish, my dear God and I will gladly fulfill it for you." Joseph looked at his puppet beside him and commanded with cruelty,"Aesop, Kill him."

The Exorcist drew his sword and dash straight for the God's neck, engaging their battle. While Aesop attacks with precise movements, Norton can only evade him cautiously, Aesop's crimson eyes were replaced with pitch black ones and his attacks began to be more erratic, faster and violent. He wanted to kill the God before him so bad.

"Mierda...!"

(Shit...!)

The God cursed underneath his breath, he didn't want to hurt the Exorcist but the more he tried to avoid his violent thrust the more he got cornered, slashes from the Exorcist sword, earning him a few painful scratches that had him flinching from the pain, blood slowly dripped over his torn shirt. When the God was pressed against the wall and the Exorcist took this opportunity to cut him down, Norton was forced to hit him in the face, making the Exorcist grit his teeth from the impact, then again he didn't feel any pain and continued to stand up like nothing happened.

If Norton wanted to, he could easily finish the fight by ending Aesop's life but he didn't want to hurt him, it would break his heart to do so. I won't hurt you, not even if my life is on the line...The God of Death thought to himself.

His thoughts of protecting the Exorcist let his guard down, the Exorcist advanced and pinned him down to the ground vehemently, his sword transformed into a sacred knife that was given by the God of Death to end a God's life. The God just stared at the Exorcist's cold and empty eyes, waiting for his next move, The Exorcist lifted the knife above his head, preparing to stab the god below him, he forcefully aimed for his chest but...

...Stopped...

... Inches away from the god's chest, his hand began to quiver, his dark orbs shed warm tears, trickling from his eyes to the god's face

"I...I can't do it..." The Exorcist muttered in a broken voice

His heart starts to ache

His mind was so conflicted

He felt so lost in the god's purple eyes

"...Why.. Why can't I kill you...? It's my duty to... to kill you.. But.. I can't.."

A sobbed left his lips while he took his throbbing head, dropping the sacred knife on the ground, breaking and crying in that very moment. I can finally pay my ancestor's debt but I cower in fear as soon as I look deep in his eyes... His thoughts began to swirl inside his mind, his duty, his honor, his identity, his orders, everything was an endless loop of question and despair. The Exorcist felt so hopeless, insecure and in agony not until a warm touch caressed his cheeks and dried off his tears

"You can't because you are not a weapon." The God replied softly,"You are a mortal, fighting for your freedom. I know you will overcome this, you are stronger and kinder than you think. I know, I believe in you, Aesop Carl"

The Exorcist blinked twice upon hearing his name in that gentle voice he loves, while his tears streaked down his cheeks, the God smiled when he noticed that small silver hues in the Exorcist eyes. The Duke clicked his tongue in irritation, preparing to use the Star Crystal's power once again, Norton noticed the Duke's intention and filled the room in mist and a strong gushed of wind knocked the Duke off the wall, making him dropped the Star Crystal, breaking control over the Exorcist

Aesop fainted from exhaustion, Norton catched him before he fell to the ground, took him in his arm and escaped the throne room, rushing towards the corridors, The Duke groaned in pain and ordered Lumina's Knight to capture the traitors, Norton managed to fool the guards and hid inside an empty room, buying enough time until Aesop regained his consciousness.

"¡Gracias a Dios! We escape." Norton slowly reverted back to his mortal form, he noticed Aesop was already staring at him with a small smile on his face,"Aesop..." He caressed his cheeks lovingly, placing him down the sofa

(Thank God!)

"Thank you.. I'm okay now.. Norton, are you---"

Heavy stomps echoed outside their hiding spot,"SEARCH EVERY ROOM! THEY COULDN'T HAVE GONE FAR!" The two twitched as soon as a couple of knights violently opened the door,"THERE THEY ARE! Traitors!"

One of the white knights charged towards Norton. Aesop unsheathed his sword and clashed against the knight's blade,"L-lord Carl.. You're.."

"Say thank you for Captain Alonzo for me." The Exorcist smiled pushing the knight violently off of him, the knights had their eyes widened in surprise, they never knew the traitor would be someone close to the Duke, his right hand man and the Lunar Prince Royal Guard too.

Norton took this opportunity to carry Aesop in a bridal style and dash towards the knights, Aesop turned wide eye and bopped Norton's head in embarrassment

Norton only chuckled at his bickering and ignored his retaliation, the knight grew in numbers as Norton struggled to find his way out being surrounded, he broke the window glass, jumping from a high feat and rushed to the forest, the knights were still tailing them and now carrying bows and arrows, even the sorcerer's of Lumina had their magic engaging on them

"Déjanos en paz, pequeno bastardos!" Norton exclaimed

(Leave us alone, you little bastards!)

"Norton! They're gaining on us! Put me down, It's going to be harder for you to carry me like this!" Aesop struggled against Norton's hold which was NOT helping at this moment, Norton had no choice, he threw Aesop like a sack of rice in his shoulder,"WHAT THE HELL!"

"Stop struggling! It's getting harder for me OKAY! You're already heavy as you are!"

"YOU BASTARD! PUT ME DOWN THEN! IF I'M SUCH A PIG TO YOU!"

"I told you to---oh nice butt~"

"What is WRONG with you!?"

"Just trying to lighten the mood~"

"Ugh---Look out!"

A shot of arrow had Norton lost his footing, to both of their surprise, they fell off a steep mountain cliff, rolling to the riverside and had their bodies thrown by a strong gushing waves, separating them from each others hold and drowned, the white knights stood there as they watched the two disappeared from the view.

Almost drowning in the river, Norton managed to snagged a broken log, taking him and aesop along with the waves. After a moment, the two of them landed in the mystic forest just outside Lumina Kingdom. He dragged himself and Aesop to the shore, huffing heavily and slouched his whole body on its peach colored sand, his eyes fixed on Aesop, who was unconscious,"Gracias diosa, estamos vivos." (Thank you goddess, we're alive) he mumbled to himself

Norton slowly lifted himself up, crawling near Aesop, shaking him lightly with a worrisome face when he didn't find any reaction from him, Norton checked his pulse, he seemed fine, he kept calling his name and no answer. In panic, he pumped Aesop's chest several times and used mouth to mouth resuscitation on him, finally Aesop came back to his sense, coughing a lot of water

"¿Estás bien? Aesop? I.. I mean are you okay?"

"Y-ye.. ack.. Yes, thank you.."

Aesop coughed a bit more and modulated his breathing, he looked at his surroundings and sighed, Norton helped him stand up and the two wandered around the mystic forest, looking for at least a shelter they could stay in, to warm themselves up.

After a few minutes of walking two found an old huge oak tree and stayed there for a while, it was quite chilly, majestic creatures glowed like little lanterns inside the forest, even the flowers and leaves produce small rays of sparkles in them. Everything the light touches inside the forest illuminates.

"Brr..." Aesop shivered as the cold breeze touched his skin,"...Were soaked."

"Yeah and the forest climate is not helping either." Norton sighed, even as a god he still felt that frosty feeling in his flesh, his vessel is used to Maharlika's warm climate after all, plus the forest seemed to block a little bit of his celestial powers. The forest must be protected by a deity...

"I'm just going to take my shirt off" Aesop spoke, making Norton's eyes pop out in his socket

"WHAAA!!??" Norton exclaimed, his mouth was wide agape. How can this knight say it so calmly, right?

"What are you shouting at? It's cold, what do you want me to do? I'm not gonna dry up if I don't take it off, I have 4 layers of wet clothing." Aesop bat an eye at the God who's still have that dumb expression on his face,"Are you stupid? Take yours off too!"

"B-but..."

"What?"

"Nothing..." Norton blushed lightly, he didn't expect the Exorcist would be so serious about it, some Maharlikan's are conservative and Norton is one of those people or god who is. Entician's sure are shameless and liberated

Calmante Norton, Calmante. (Calm down, Norton, Calm down) Norton kept his eyes close as he chanted those words inside his head. After a few chants he turned to Aesop and was stupefied, he already took off three of his shirts and the last piece of clothing he has, that white shirt, he slowly slid it down his upper body revealing his crystal like shoulders.

The God bore his eyes on the Exorcist back, he snapped back to his senses when he realized...

Mini Norton's are screaming inside his head, he kept his eyes fixed on Aesop's pale flesh, for a strong knight, his built was slim and toned, his Entity Guard Uniform hide that beautiful slender neck of his and the way he shift his hair from his side made him even sexier in Norton's eyes

Aesop noticed someone staring at his back, it felt like piercing a hole on him, he automatically whipped his head around and glared at Norton

"What are YOU looking at!?" Aesop exclaimed, hinting a pink blush. He didn't expect Norton would look at him so lasciviously, he covered himself with his white top

"AH! Ah.. lo siento.. I mean, I'm so---sorry.. You're so beautiful, I can't help b-but to s-stare"

"What the hell!" Aesop immediately stood up, accidentally letting his black hair tie slip to the ground. His eyes grew wide and immediately grabbed the tie but Norton beat him to it

"Want me to tie this for you?" Norton gave him a playful smirk

"I-I can tie it myself!" Aesop retorted, taking the tie from him, Norton lifted it away from his reach,"Give it back! That's important to me!"

"Is it? Take it from me then~" Norton kept playing with the tie out of the Exorcist reach, when he saw Aesop's sober expression he stopped. ¿Es esto realmente importante para él? (Is this really important to him...?)

"Please..." That word made Norton blink profusely and give the tie back, a soft smile formed Aesop lips,"Thank you."

"Is that.. From your parents or siblings?" Norton asked curiously, if it means so much to him, it must be from a relative or a lover right? Aesop frowned at his question, It made Norton feel awkward,"AH! You don't have to answer that if it's uncomfortable to talk about!"

"It's from the Duke..." Aesop replied without a delay

The God's onyx eyes dilated hearing the word Duke from the Exorcist mouth,"It's.. oh.. I see.. Sorry.."

"No big deal." Aesop noticed Norton's distress towards his proclamation, he let out a breath and sat down under the oak tree, hugging his knees, circling his index finger to the ground and looked to his side.

Norton looked at Aesop and sat beside him, he's kind of glad that the Mystic Forest didn't manage to block all his power and dry his clothes off in an instant. He covered Aesop with his coat, making the other look at him with a smile.

Maybe I can let my guard down once in a while... Aesop thought to himself as he take a breather

"I love the Duke a lot..." The Exorcist spoke with sorrow,"He gave me a life I never thought I needed..." It was something painful to share but he felt that Norton is someone he can trust and he continued,"So even if he sees me as his puppet, a weapon for his desires... I couldn't leave his side no matter what... even if he doesn't love me back and never will..."

"Its alright Aesop, Just let it all out" Norton replied calmly

Aesop just let out a sorrowful laugh,"It's okay. I'm not going to cry over that. Thank you for listening you big dummy"

"I..."

"His kiss is so painful and bitter though.. but I hate that I love it so much..." Another wave of sadness showered his heart, reminiscing that the kiss was done to make him stay or crave for the Duke's touch. That curse always works on him. I'm pathetic.

"I see..." Norton replied simply

"That's why I thank you" Aesop's silver eyes meet Norton's onyx orbs, It was sad and gentle at the same time,"Thank you for saving me from that poison that will kill me, I exist to kill after all.."

"You're not valuing yourself enough, Aesop." Norton replied, skimming near Aesop, the other just stared at him as he lifted his head towards the god in front of him,"Would it be alright, If I ask you this?"

"What is?"

A short moment of silence between them, The God had his eyes on the Exorcist silver eyes, cupping his hand towards that cold hand.

"Can I kiss you, Aesop?"

The Exorcist was puzzled by the god's request and leaned back as an automatic reaction, "WHAT!?!??! ARE YOU INSANE!?"

"I'm asking you.. Maybe, I am insane but I'm serious... Can I kiss you?"

"That's.." The Exorcist gulped, averting his eyes away from the god, "A kiss is shared with some you love and I.. you and I.. don't share.."

"But the Duke dont love you, You said it yourself, why let him kiss you then?"

"Because I love him..that's why"

"I love you, will you let me kiss you?" The God still insisted, gripping the exorcist hand tightly, the coldness from his hand dissipate and was replaced with the god's warmth

The Exorcist grinned at the god's persistence,"You really know the right words to say huh?"

A laugh was returned at his remark,"I have my ways, So can I? Please"

"Ugh.." Aesop groaned and rolled his eyes,"You're so annoying...fine.. make it quick"

"I can't promise you anything," the God teased. Norton planted a soft kiss at Aesop's pink lips while he wrapped his hands around his waist, Aesop enveloped his hands over Norton's shoulder.

Aesop pulled away in an instant and stare at Norton's onyx eyes,"Kiss me, Norton"

"Aren't I already?" Norton blinked in confusion, earning a snicker from Aesop

"I'll show you how to kiss then, you amateur" He rolled his eyes at the curious god

"Have you kissed anyone before?" the god asked fluttering his eyes at the exorcist

"Let's leave that in your imagination." Aesop gave him a smirk making Norton pout,"Why are you frowning? Do you want to be my first kiss?"

Aesop's silver orbs dilated hearing those words, I'm his first kiss. It made his heart drummed in his chest but there's something bothering him about Norton's identity,"Tell me, Norton. Are you really the God of death?"

Norton cast his eyes in sorrow and just nodded at his question, Aesop had his eyes shrouded in confusion and sorrow, when Norton felt the heavy tension, he spoke softly,"I know you're an Exorcist, I know your ancestors unfulfilled debt for me, I know it all and I.. I.."

"I won't kill you." Aesop said sternly, having the eyes of the god perplexed by his words,"I won't but... won't that break your oath? Won't that hurt you? Your words are absolute and if I didn't uphold my ancestor's debt, you'll spend another century in agony."

"It's alright, Aesop, the fact that you cared for me, is enough to keep me living another century."

"Norton..." Aesop leaned in to kiss Norton's trembling lips, grabbing Norton's chin up guiding him to open his mouth as Aesop slip his tongue inside him, exploring his warm cavern

"Mhm... aesop..." Norton moaned between their passionate kisses, mimicking Aesop's every movement, the kisses deepened as the two shared the heat of their tongues, languidly caressing their lips. Aesop caressed Norton's face and spoke,"I still have my doubts, All my loved ones leave me"

"I won't. I will always be with you even if I die, I'm always here, watching over you"

"I hope you don't die though, I don't know how I will be able to take it"

"I'll do my best to live for you. You should do too"

"I will, I promise." Aesop had his head against Norton's forehead,"You're still not planning to touch me tonight?"

"You really WANT that to happen huh?" Norton let out a laugh, he didn't expect Aesop would crave for his touch that much

Aesop's brows knitted perfectly from that reply, he was serious about it, he hissed angrily, "YOU REQUESTED IT YOU PERVERT!"

That question made Aesop release his hand around Norton, hanging his head low,"I can't...answer that yet..."

"You're my idiot?" Aesop snorted

"That's not very nice. Well, whatever I'll just have to make you fall deep in love with me even more till my ears fell off hearing you say Te Amo Muchos, Norton" The God teased

"Huh? Didn't you say that it means Norton is an idiot?"

"Did I?" Norton blinked a couple of times and he remembered, he did tell him that, getting caught on his prank, he burst out laughing,"That means I love you too much Norton! I'm sorry!"

"What the hell! I even tell Eli that! I hate you even more!" Aesop slapped Norton's chest roughly, earning more laugh from him,"I will keep in mind then and that you always tell me I'm a donkey whenever you say those things to me"

"Heeeeyyyy.. N-no.. I promise, I won't do that ever again!" Norton's face grimaced from Aesop's reply, he must be very angry? Or no, he doesn't looked like it

"I'm joking. But I won't trust you to teach me that weird language of yours ever again"

Aesop just shook his head at this idiot God beside him, both of them sat in silence while staring at the night sky inside that magical mystic forest.

The Lunar Prince and former Royal Advisor arrived at a small inn outside the borders of Lumina Kingdom. The brunette lady had a place prepare for the Prince and his company when they arrived, it was a place isolated with flowery meadows near the mountain peak, white cabin filled with wooden furnitures and stone paintings, The Lunar Prince smiled, it is a smaller version of his castle but the place was engulfed in warmth and he can't help but to feel nostalgic, the former royal advisor saw the Prince relaxed and gestured him to sit with her as she prepared tea and biscuits for the prince

"Thank you for helping me, helping us." The Lunar Prince said softly

"It's the least I can do for a kind hearted boy like yourself and besides it's a request from my dear friend, Aesop." The lady smiled softly

"Oh, you're a friend of Aesops! I'm his friend too, nice to meet you Vera, I hope we can be good friends too." The Lunar Prince extended his hand, shaking the lady's hand lightly. She was quite surprised how friendly and warm the Lunar Prince is, despite of introducing herself as the Duke's former royal advisor, she thought maybe the Lunar Prince would harbour any resentment but it seemed like his soul was a pure one indeed

"Aesop was right, you are the purest of them all." The Lady giggled,"Say, little one, do you not hate the Duke?"

"I don't hate him.." The Lunar Prince replied with no hesitation, this made the lady a little bit curious about him, She examined if there is truth in his words, while she did, the prince continued his sentence,"I did not like what he has done to my family and my people that's a fact and I want him to repent for his sins but hatred is beyond me, I do not wish to hold that kind of negativity in my heart."

"What about yourself? You said you didn't like what he have done to your family and your people but he had done much more damage to you than any other Animan.. At least that's what Aesop told me." The lady spoke with a hint of sorrow in her tone

"I didn't like it too but I have no choice, I did accept his proposal, I did allow him to do those terrible things to me but it's for the sake of my family and my people, I did all of these for them, I didn't regret doing it but I did feel violate and despised myself for being weak." The Lunar Prince sighed exasperatedly

"You are brave, Truly a one of a kind. Your efforts will be rewarded, our Goddess is kind and grants infinite blessing to those hearts who have been torn but remained pure. I have a strong feeling that the Goddess is watching over you." The Lady placed a hand on the Lunar Prince shoulder, she have believed that this little prince is stronger than any Animan she met throughout the years

"You agree with her, Luz?" The Lunar Prince chuckled, messing the owl's head, for some odd reason this little owl they took great care off, always had her eyes on Eli, he always wondered if this owl was an Animan, she would have scolded Eli for being all gloomy or doing stupid things, everytime he looked at his owl, he remembered his beloved sister,"What a special owl you are, Luz."

"Ah, bide the way Lunar Prince." The Lady interrupted,"Do you wish to speak with the Pharaoh? I heard he arrived yesterday in Entity Kingdom for a meeting, it will be held around this week, it's quite important. All the Court officials from Entity will attend, if you wished to see him without any complications, I can help."

"You will! Thank you!" Eli clapped his hands happily at his new friends suggestion

"Anything for a friend, I will just inform a friend of mine to escort Norton and Aesop once they arrive, so they can rest while we head to the Royal Castle." the Lady gave an okay sign and giggled

"Splendid! Thank you really! You've done so much"

"It's the least I can do for you, My Dear Prince."

"Please, vera, call me Eli."

"Oh? Alright then, Eli."

The Duke's face writhed in wrath by the Lumina's Royal Knights news. Those bastards escaped. The Duke groaned, shaking his head calling Captain Alonzo in his quarters, when the captain arrived, he knew that the Duke was in a terrible mood, he kneeled before him

"Is there something I can do for you, My Lord." The Captain asked politely, deep inside he was quite apprehensive of what could be the Duke's command now

"Kill the Lumina's Royal Knights whom I ordered to capture the traitors." The Duke ordered wickedly

The Captain had his chestnut eyes widened by the order, there are 17 Royal Knights of Lumina whom he ordered to capture the escapees, he wanted to question the Duke's authority but instead he composed himself and bowed,"As you wish, My Lord."

The Captain left with a mournful expression on his face, he didn't expect that the Duke could order something so heartless,"He really did change..." the captain wanted to cry for the lives he will take from Lumina's people, he prayed from the goddess above that someday that this madness will end soon and that Lumina Kingdom will be saved. He was too much of a coward to do such and he has his family's lives to protect, he can't risk his position or his loved ones.

Back in the Duke's quarters, he summoned the Mirror of Chinwag, a magical mirror used as a communication in Anima, originally invented by Entity's scholars. The Mirror revealed a young caramel haired girl sitting in the middle of an adorable pink and purple room, filled with candied colored decoration, her face frowned upon seeing the Duke

"Must you have to be cruel, Joseph" the young girl replied, after hearing what he have commanded the knight before him moments ago

The Duke only sighed at her remark,"Yes, helena.. it's because I want to protect you and Emma"

"But you are hurting yourself in the process, you must stop and let all this burden go, please, we asked of you..."

"I know." The Duke answered sadly,"Listen, Helena I have to be cold, merciless and cruel.. You know what those people would do to you two. The desaulniers are heartless, they will do whatever it takes to kill all of the people that lies a great threat to them"

"I'm sorry and yes, I do know of that. It hurts me to see you suffer, I don't want to see you cry every time you do something horrible... you didn't deserve that kind of pain, no one does, Joseph..."

"I would do everything in my power, use everything I got and live this damned path to protect the both of you, even if it means I have to be the demon in everyone's eye" The Duke said in a cracking yet resolved tone, he knew he have to do this, he didn't want to lose someone he love again, not now and not ever,"I have my preparations ready, I'm not sure if you or emma would be willing to help me"

"I will help" The young girl replied with determination,"Marry the Pharaoh of Maharlika correct?"

"Yes, my accomplice Jack had succeeded to take control of him"

"I see, very well then, I will help you. It's quite odd that he gained access to step foot inside the Pharaoh's castle and get an approval for that kind of position" The young girl tilted her head and continued,"Then again, he's a part of the high council, his authority is the same as the Pharaoh."

"He threatened the Pharaoh's Royal Advisor..." The Duke sighed,"He took Jose Baden's wife, Demi and had held her captive for days, he had to abide by his orders if he didn't want his wife and their unborn child's life to be endangered."

"That's..." The young girl's face grimaced, Joseph is affiliated with all these twisted people, it had her heart breaking apart but what can she do? This world is cruel.

"That shouldn't be any of your concern." The Duke gave the young girl a gentle smile,"Rest well my dear sister" The Duke didn't wait for her reply and closed the mirror. Being born in a world full of deceit, manipulation and lies is quite taxing.

The Duke reminisced, that day he met the Lunar Royals. He was quite surprised how much of a Paradise Lumina can be and how lovely and welcoming the Lunar Royals are, he even heard they were struggling because of the natural disaster brought upon their lands but still their heart was full of hope and light, there he met the youngest prince, Eli.

He was a dumb prince in the eyes of the Duke but he envied his relationship with his parents, he envied that he's close with his siblings, everyone loves him so much, everything the Duke ever wanted the Lunar Prince had, he wanted that life so bad, he prayed to the Goddess everyday but his prayers were futile and that is why he did his best to be center of attention in the eyes of the Royal Family in Entity Kingdom, he wanted to overthrow their current Duke and take over all that is good and claim everything, to fill the hole in his heart

Years had passed, he became the Duke and took over more than 100 cities in all Anima, but he's still not satisfied, he kept remembering that blessed Prince from Lumina, he still felt empty. Until one day, he found out about the Lunar King's noble acts and it angered him that resulted him to conquer Lumina

After his succession, for five years watching over the Lunar Prince, he was disgusted by the kindness he showed, even the people of Entity, his servants, his court official and many more, loved and adored the Lunar Prince more than him. The Lunar Prince earned respect through his love and compassionate heart but for the Duke respect was earned through fear and agony, why are we so different? They're both Mortal, both Royals and both of them are powerful, how can two people be so different?

The Duke's insecurity grew more and more than he resulted to mistreat the Lunar Prince, he sent the only person who love and served him his whole life, the Exorcist, he groomed him to be his sword and shield, the Duke was confident of his loyalty, he even told him he can do whatever he wants with the Lunar Prince, little did he know, his loyal knight become fond of the Lunar Prince, once again he found himself angry and jealous for the Lunar Prince

Those words, encrypted in his brain like a scribe, his insecurity have eaten him away that even if the Lunar Prince begged or apologize, he will never have the heart to forgive, he wanted to break him so bad, for the Duke, it was unfair that the goddess bless someone like the Lunar Prince, it should have been him, he was filled with happiness seeing the Lunar Prince cry and suffer but was irritated for the fact that the Lunar Prince still had hope.

And now that the Lunar Prince is gone, the Duke's wrath went straight to the Lunar Prince's People

"I will show you, who you should fear..."

His wicked intention, had him writing a declaration to cage Lumina Kingdom and destroy the Lunar Prince's name once and for all, he wanted him to fall down on his knees and suffer, this time he won't let the Prince escape ever again.

After that night at the Mystic Forest, Vera sent out a Kinnara, a beautiful winged beast of Entity Kingdom that serves as the Duke and Duchess messengers, Vera used it communicate with Aesop, leading both Norton and Aesop into an isolated inn just outside Lumina Kingdom, their path was led with silence. Aesop was lost in thought, he felt so different.

The Promise in the forest

That very moment made the Exorcist heart flutter in joy, he was still muddled by his feelings for the God but that lingering thought that someone loves him this much and to promise a future with him made him bubble in joy even if it's just wishful thinking. He still wanted to keep those words deep inside his heart.

"Aesop, are you okay?" Norton asked softly after noticing him so distracted

Aesop replied with a smile on his face,"In any case, we should hurry, I bet Eli would be very worried about us." he walked in front of Norton, the god noticed a faint smile on his lips and hurriedly walked beside him, smiling by his side

After a few hours of travelling, they arrived at their rendezvous, calming Eli's worried heart.

"I'm afraid we do not have much time for chit-chat, we must make haste and head to head to Entity Kingdom now." Aesop suggested

"W-what!? But you seemed tired... You and Norton that is...and...and..." The Lunar Prince shook his head in disagreement with the whole idea of travelling again

"He's right Lunar Prince, staying near Lumina's territory poses a great threat to all of us." The Brunette woman spoke sternly,"Besides you can all use my place as your temporary hideout."

"So, It's settled then, we need to travel by dawn, we'll be safer travelling in the vast land of Chinchorro Desert to enter Entity territory." The Musician clapped his hands. The witch and the exorcist nodded in unison, Eli was a bit concerned, leaving his kingdom alone is an unforgivable sin to him, even if it was for the greater good.

And so, that night, they cautiously travelled on their carriage. The Lunar Prince had his eyes locked on Lumina through that small window in their carriage, he didn't want to leave his Mother, his people and his homeland but what options does he have?

"Eli, I know it's difficult for you to leave but have faith, things will be better soon..."

"... But I left my Mother and my Kingdom... and you were controlled by the Duke... I... I don't want more people to get hurt because of me."

The Exorcist sighed,"The world is cruel and cold... but for people like you, who are kind and full of compassion, understanding and hope, are blessed by the Goddess, blessed with miracles, people who will swear to protect you with their lives, in doing so, never lose hope Eli, for those people who will die for you." he held the Lunar Prince trembling hands and smiled,"No matter what happens, I'm always here for you."

The Lunar Prince's eyes brimmed with tears, wiping them off under his locks,"Thank you, Aesop."

Norton thought to himself with a small grin forming his lips, faking his sleep.

After a long trip, five days on riding on their carriage with some few stops, the group finally arrived at Entity Kingdom, the Kingdom was gorgeous, surrounded by high mountain, the houses were all uniformed being painted with red and gold, the streets were filled with sophisticated citizen, the streets were filled with boutiques, inside were confectionaries and fashion. Who would have guessed this was ruled by a cruel dictator.

Vera led the carriage towards streets of the citadel close to the castle, she had a plan in mind. Once they arrived, she asked the group to leave the carriage, leading them to her home and knocked at the door. A tall bulky young man with tanned skin and dark dreadlocks welcomed them.

"Lady Vera! You have arrived!" The Man smiled,"Sooner than I thought you would, I thought it'll take you at least a week to travel from Lumina to Entity but perhaps my calculations are wrong"

The Witch smiled as she introduced the tall man to the group,"Everyone, this is my good friend,William Ellis. He works at the Entity Royal Palace as their personal Huntsman. He will lead you two to Yuma. The Prince and I discussed the meeting that will be held in Entity Kingdom, a few days ago and I would like the Lunar Prince to meet the Pharaoh as he requested."

"That's..." The Exorcist turned to the Lunar Prince worriedly but felt reassured after he smiled at him, Aesop trusted Vera's skills and expertise, he can only sigh at their plan,"Vera, promise me that you will keep Eli safe."

"I sure will, I have a few tricks under my sleeves" The Witch responded with confidence

After their short talk, William escorted the two and traveled to Yuma. The entrance of the town was filled with a misty atmosphere but behind that facade lies a small, charming and magical small town. Coated with Elegant wooden houses, the marketplace had a few stalls and a small statue of the first maiden who discovered the town Theresa stands in the middle, near the fountain side.

It was truly a breathtaking place, one can live peaceful life during their old age, William looked for an inn to stay and was stopped when Aesop took his arm and spoke

"Wait, William. It would be better if we hide in my house. It's near Entity Kingdom's borders and nobody has been there for years, So, that could be our hideout rather than an inn in my hometown."

"Are you serious, Aesop?" The Huntsman asked worriedly, the Exorcist nodded in response. They didn't waste any time and immediately headed towards an old wooden house.

The Silver Haired Exorcist took a few breaths before entering the premises, everything was covered in dust and cobwebs, this place was full of bittersweet memories for Aesop

William and Norton tail him from behind, examining the area curiously, poking their heads from side to side, when both of them entered the living room, they meet a pair of silver eyes, raising a brow at them with his arms crossed

"Don't just stand there, help me clean up the place." The two looked at each other and returned to the Exorcist, nodding in agreement,"This place has been abandoned for seven years or more, It's better if we clean it up a bit."

Following the Exorcist orders, Aesop handed both of them brooms and dusters to tidy up the place. During their task, Norton noticed that sober expression Aesop wears behind those beautiful silver eyes

The God of Death couldn't help his growing affection for the Exorcist, The God's entire being fueled by curiosity towards the Exorcist, his soul being enveloped by various flowers, the way the Exorcist hides his feelings away yet his actions are overflowing with genuity and honesty. Aesop was a mystery at the same time an open book, he was someone that puzzled Norton's heart, a problem he cannot solve, he truly is magnificent in the eyes of the God of Death.

Inside the Entity Palace premises, The Lunar Prince and the former royal advisor walked along the long dimly lit corridors, filled with numerous paintings of sophisticated aristocrats, gold and red were painted across the room, their curtains and rugs were mixed designery from different kingdoms. The Entity Royal Palace was a place of finery.

The two finally reached the court, where several officials were seated for a meeting amongst them was Jose Baden, the Pharaoh's royal advisor

"The Marriage between Duchess Helena Desaulniers-Adams and Pharaoh of Maharlika, Naib Subedar would be held six months from now, we would like to ask the cooperation of both Kingdoms, all of the people in this court known of the curse of the Pharaoh and on behalf of the Pharaoh, Count Jack is here for his decree." The Royal Advisor of Maharlika stated

"M-marriage?" The Lunar Prince profusely looking at the brunette lady by his side,"Why? And who is this Jack person?"

"It's the first time I've heard of this news.." The brunette narrowed her eyes in confusion,"I am astounded, is Joseph going to take over all Anima? With the unification of Lumina and Entity, he gains the power of the Sun and the Star Crystal, does he intend to take the Moon Crystal as well?"

"That's insane! He's too greedy and he needs to be stopped!" The Lunar Prince exclaimed, although he knew full well, the Duke did not take the Sun Crystal away and it was passed on by the Lunar Queen to him

"I need to speak to Aesop about this..." The Witch sighed exasperatedly

"There has been terrible news as of late." The Count has spoken in a sad tone, the Lunar Prince knew that the count was faking his expression and frowned at that knowledge,"The Lunar Prince had manipulated the Duke's right hand man, If you knew of Aesop Carl, the Exorcist, he had taken the Lunar Prince away from Lumina, the prince had stolen the power of the Star Crystal gaining control of the poor man, luckily our dear Duke had taken it back but the cost is that the Sun Crystal was used against him while the Lunar Prince escaped the premises."

"That's treason! One cannot use the crystals for their own greed!" An old man from the court exclaimed

"Such a terrible news, I never knew the Lunar Royals could hide such terrible action behind those noble acts." The woman in an elegant attire shook her head

"It is probably a facade for people to trust them." A young scholar clicked his tongue in anger

"I assure everyone here, the Duke is doing everything he must to keep the balance between both kingdoms, the Lunar Queen on the other hand is a good woman and kept her word staying in Lumina Kingdom and is currently heart broken of what has become of the Prince." The Count added

"Our musician and the former right hand man was taken by the Lunar Prince as captive and I..." The Royal advisor stammered, clutching his chest tightly, he knew that this lie will hurt his beloved Pharaoh but he had no choice but to obey the Count's wishes

"It is alright, Lord Baden, I'll take it from here, no need to speak on my behalf, I am sure that you are broken hearted by the news as well, the musician was your dear friend after all." The Count placed his hand on the advisor shoulder, without the officials looking, he signaled the Royal Advisor to silence himself, in great fear of the Count, his eyes downcasted

"This is such terrible news... Lumina is corrupted with deceit under that beautiful white kingdom."

"The Kingdom of Lumina must be restrained, the people might revolt."

"Let us all take this to the High Council to apprehend their people, some might go against our wishes and might resist"

The Court officials agreed upon the final verdict, Count Jack gave an antagonistic smirk. On the other hand, Eli and Vera watched and listened dumbfoundedly as the news that was shared were all lies and deceit. Eli was stupefied how the people in this court believed every word the Count had said, he gritted his teeth and closed his eyes to stop the tears threatening to fall in his cheeks, Vera led him outside and hurriedly exited the Royal Palace.

"I want to go home.." The Lunar Prince spoke with pure sadness, the brunette lady just took his hand in hers,"I..."

"It's alright Eli. Listen to me, we'll figure this out together okay?" The brunette lady reassured the Lunar Prince, he nodded in response, upon exiting the premises an auburn haired girl with sun hat approached them

"Are you alright mister?" The girl asked,"You looked very sad."

"Um..." The Lunar Prince was baffled but smiled in return,"I'm fine, I just need some fresh air.."

"Is that so?" The girl blinked twice, handing the Lunar Prince a bouquet of flowers,"Take these darling, flowers makes us all smile."

"Thank you, you're a very kind lady...?"

"Oh, Call me Emma, Emma Woods"

"Thank you Lady Emma, they're lovely."

"Smile okay!" The young girl flashed a gleeful smile and galloped away, waving her hands at two,"I have to go now! Take care!" the two waved her goodbye and left right away

Back in Aesop's home, everyone had finished their errands, they finally took a breather and rest for a bit until Vera and Eli arrived, the three were excited to see them unharmed yet their dreadful expression tells a different story

"What happened?" Norton asked with concern

"...The Count... the court officials... everyone... wanted to restrain the people of Lumina." Eli stared at nothing as he spoke,"... The Count said... he told everyone, I stole the power of the Star Crystal... used it against... him and Aesop..." his voice cracked, painfully remembering the events that took place earlier

Vera let out a sharp breath, patting the Lunar Prince's back,"They would also let the Pharaoh marry the Duke's adoptive sister, Duchess Helena Desaulniers-Adams."

Everyone looked at the Lunar Prince and the Witch with disbelief. Norton lowered his gaze, clenching his fist tightly, boring his nails in his palm in pure rage.

"...Esos bastardos... QUE SE HAN CREÍDO ESOS HIJOS DE PUTA!?"

(...Those bastards... WHO THE HECK THEY THINK THEY ARE, THOSE SONS OF BITCHES!?)

The God shouted on top of his lungs

"Norton..."

Aesop called for him, he was really surprised Norton was showing this much anger but Norton ignored his calls and left the room furiously, he wanted to be alone and manage his anger, he didn't want to cause any trouble by losing control of himself. The room went dead silence, Aesop stood up, after a moment

"I will visit the marketplace and prepare dinner." Aesop turned to Vera with a soft expression in his face,"Vera, will you accompany me, please..."

The Witch nodded,"William, please take care of the Lunar Prince during our absence:"

"I will. Take care, you two."

They both left and headed towards the marketplace, it wasn't bustling with people unlike the ones in Maharlika, since it's a small rural town and the Entician have neither smiles or frowns, they often have this poker face on. It was normal for both Aesop and Vera yet Aesop missed those beautiful and genuine smiles that the other Kingdom has.

I wonder if there will come a time where Entity will be as pure and bright like Lumina, As happy and full of life like Maharlika. Aesop muttered to himself, the Witch only watch her friend staring at the distant sadly

"Do you still love him, Aesop?" Vera asked out of the blue, looking at Aesop whose carrying their groceries

"...To be honest, I don't know... Joseph he's... I don't recognize him anymore" Aesop sighed having his eyes fixed at the sunset as they both head home

"I still believe he has some humanity in him, a plausible reason for his vile actions... at least that's what I'd like to think..." Vera spoke with conviction, in reality she was also conflicted what to believe anymore

"If I remember correctly, you met him before? You're childhood friends, correct?" Aesop asked to confirm

"Yes, those were the good old days, we used to play, along with his twin brother, until they..."

"They...?"

The Witch looked at the Exorcist and smiled sadly, she didn't continue any further and changed the subject,"He used to be kind to me, when I was his Royal Advisor, then one day he turned cruel, his words and actions, hurt me until I was force to leave my position... he fired me, I guess, I am no longer needed, he didn't even told me why he did that."

"At least he's not treating you like you're a non-living thing."

The Witch frowned at the Exorcist remark,"That is true. Deep down I know he still has a heart." Vera placed her hand in her chest with a sorrowful smile, reminiscing the past when she was close to the Duke. Both of them had to hide their sadness and melancholy when they returned to their hideout.

The house wasn't as intense as before, Eli was petting Luz, Norton was tuning his guitar in silence and William was sleeping on the sofa. Aesop ignored them and walked towards the kitchen and began to cook alone. He was lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice someone entering the kitchen

"I didn't know you could cook." Norton spoke with a gentle smile

"I needed to, I've been on my own ever since I was fourteen so I needed this skill to survive."

"...I see..." The Musician simply respond, afraid to open that old wound that Aesop once had

"I'm cooking Chami, the dish I told you about before." Aesop broke the awkward tension between them

"Really!? That's awesome!" Norton exclaimed while Aesop was focused on cooking, he couldn't help but to smile hearing Norton's enthusiasm again

Why do you make my heart feel happy this way? I'm so confused... Aesop thought to himself

"It's not a big deal, It's my favourite dish after all but... It's been a while since I last cooked for myself, So..."

"I'm sure it'll taste delicious either way, Aesop." Norton flashed Aesop with a charming smile

"I hope so." Aesop can't help but to smile and blush at this silly God's compliments

Once he finished, he served the dinner to everyone, to his fortune, his culinary skills were still good, everyone showered him with praises, that tension that they had earlier changed into laugher, silly banters and beautiful stories, everyone enjoyed the dish

...Minus idiot Norton who forgot to put Caldo, which stole the spotlight of being their clown for the night, a laughter escaped the silver haired exorcist. That's payback for letting me eat Alfajores without water, you dork!

For the first time in his life, Aesop felt he was home.

Inside the Pharaoh's quarters, looking at the distance through his balcony, he pondered to himself. Why can't I think of anything else? Like my mind is blank. I know there is something I need to do but... nothing comes in my mind. The Pharaoh's mind was always blocked whenever he tried recalling or questioning himself, everything was going back to square one.

His door swung open and a beautiful crimson haired lady entered the room, she had a grimace expression seeing the Pharaoh's blank stares, she walked up to the Pharaoh, blocking his view, the Pharaoh only narrowed his eyes at her and stare from afar again

"Pharaoh, did something happen? You're acting so oddly."

"I don't know what you are saying." The Pharaoh denied,"If you'll excuse me, I need to talk to the Count about the meeting."

The lady was taken aback, being offended by the Pharaoh's action, her eyes and entire attire transformed, engulfing the whole room into a rouge mist and her goddess form has been revealed, shutting all windows and doors in front of Naib

Do not anger me Mortal, I am your aid, you have summoned me to protect the people of Maharlika, being the Goddess of war and beauty, I cannot allow this behavior of yours

"Forgive me, Goddess. I do not wish to speak right now, I must go to Count Jack immediately, he requires my presence"

Am I not important to you?

The goddess stared at the Pharaoh, she sensed no fear in his eyes, just a deadpan expression. The goddess reverted back to her Mortal form, he knew that Count Jack had used necromancy on the Pharaoh, having no power against dark arts, the goddess gave up dismay, she needed the goddess of witchcraft to dispel the Count's magic for this matter.

"My dear Pharaoh, I hope deep in your heart, you can break this spell for yourself... if not, Break it for your beloved Lunar Prince, Eli Clark, He needs you now, more than ever."

The mention of that named ring violently inside the Pharaoh's head, when the goddess left his quarters, the Pharaoh placed his hand on his temples, trying to remember that name

Who's Eli?

Why is that name making my heart ache..?

"I need to speak with Jack. His guidance always helped me with the problems I'm having" The Pharaoh left his quarters as he waited for his Royal Guard to arrive in his Kingdom.

A month or two have passed, the group haven't got a clear view of what will they do, their intel only tells them the wedding between the duchess and the pharaoh has been postponed, Lumina kingdom was still experiencing the wrath of Duke but some reason the news were barred more or less any information regarding Lumina's state were blocked. It was worrisome for the Lunar Prince but everyone reassured him, the Kingdom of Lumina will be alright as long the Lunar Queen is alive and well

It was a normal day at Entity Kingdom for everyone.

Norton and Eli were left by the others. William headed home because he had to take care of his pet wolves while Aesop went to the marketplace and Vera is gathering intel from her former colleagues inside Entity's Royal Palace

Eli visits Aesop's garden and plant some herbs and vegetables, Norton helped him as he do

"What kind of herb is this?" The Lunar Prince blinking at the strange herb,"There's a lot in Aesop's garden, he must have liked this herb and over there!" The prince pointed at dozens of dandelions,"What a pretty yellow flower."

"His garden reminds me of my old place."

"It does? That's nice, it's like a garden---oh wait! It's like that story Aesop told me, the beautiful garden of the dead, a prison of the God of death, Poetic huh?"

"I think so?" Norton replied awkwardly, he knew that story was about his lonely life centuries ago,"Say, Eli, May I ask a favor from you?"

"A favor? Sure BUT..." Eli gave the God a mischievous smirk,"Tell me, Norton do you really like Aesop~"

The God snickered at his innocent question and nodded,"I don't just like him, Lo amo~"

"Wo bamo?"

"It means I love him, tonto!" Norton exclaimed happily, "In any case, this is a very important favor, are you up to it? In return I will teach you how to sing your feelings for Naib"

"Really! Okay! I will do it, teach me how to sing!"

Norton took his guitar inside at Aesop's home and sat beside Eli, strumming his guitar lightly,"Follow my lead, I'll sing for you slowly and..." Norton cast a spell on Eli,"I cast a spell on you in that way you can understand what I am singing about, it'll help you memorize the lyrics faster too and also along with my favor, can you sing this for Aesop too for me, Por Favor Prinsipe"

The Lunar Prince didn't expect the melody and the lyrics that the Musician sang will ring so much inside his heart, the way he sang it, that lingering touch of his heart, It was sweet and loving, the Musician stared at the prince, In a flash his mind were filled with words, the ancient tongue's language and just like magic, he began singing the song

How genuine these lyrics are, Norton must have felt deeply in love with Aesop if this was meant for him and the Lunar Prince was sure it meant for his friend too and as for him, it meant for his beloved Pharaoh, he wanted Naib to hear this someday

Norton leaned close to the Lunar Prince's ear and whispered, it was odd since no one was around yet he whispered a lot of things in Eli's ear and there he realized that everything that Norton had said was meant to be a big secret, otherwise... something peculiar or bad is about to happen if it's revealed

After everyone's returned, they devised a plan to visit Maharlika, Norton had told everyone about the Count's control over the Pharaoh and that Count Jack is probably an accomplice of the Duke of Entity, everything is starting to crumble for the Lunar Prince and his company, being branded as a criminal around Anima was no joke, it was horrifying,

The group will do whatever it takes to keep the Lunar Prince safe but what cost? Another blood shed for him, he wanted to fight alongside them but all he has is the Sun Crystal's power and he doesn't even know how to use it to his advantage, even with the help of his company, it's still a complex thing to use.

They let the news about the Lunar Prince's treason die down before leaving the Entity Kingdom, they did not want to be caught, who knows what they will do to the Lunar Prince if they knew he was here, he could be killed and what's worse is tortured.

The news did die down after a couple of weeks, everyone was preparing for their journey to Maharlika, Aesop and Norton took a stroll around Entity Kingdom gathering useful information, William was taking his holy relics and weapons to aid them during their expedition and Vera was buying supplies for their travel such as medicine and food, the Lunar Prince was left at Aesop's home, the mailman came by as usual and dropped the newspaper in front of door, making Eli take it and dash inside

Martial Law in Lumina Kingdom

"What is this?" Eli skimmed through the headlines, only to find out the news is about enforcing some kind of Entician law and enslaving the Luminarians, transferring their power and authority over to the Duke of Entity Kingdom

"People of Lumina Kingdom, I, Duke Joseph Desaulniers of Entity Kingdom known as the Bloody Sword will now engage Martial Law, I will be your one and only dictator because of your Lunar Prince's grave sin, you are all considered as his accomplice and therefore you will be the slaves for the great kingdom of Entity, Women and Children will be detained by our military men, while male will serve my kingdom as our Kingdom's soldiers in our front line and whoever objects my Entician Law will be sentence to life in imprisonment, You will be punished together with three generation of your family. Blood will spill in Lumina Kingdom for those who oppose me, The Great Duke of Entity and Lumina Kingdom."

"What madness is this!?" The Lunar Prince shouted, reading every detail of the news, his heart broke knowing that his people are suffering because he wanted freedom, he left home because he got scared, little do he know, the fact that he escaped made his kingdom cried in agony,"I have to save them..." the Lunar Prince checked the date, the suffering had been going for a month or two now, they are staying in Yuma in peace while the people of Lumina Kingdom are suffering

The Lunar Prince immediately wrote in a piece of parchment and place it in the living room table, taking some of his valuables with him and took off in a white stallion, Luz watched the Lunar Prince fled Yuma as she perched on his shoulder, the owl can not talk but she sure is worried for his state, the owl knew he was feeling great pain and regret, blaming himself for everything.

Oh great Goddess who watches over Anima, I pray... I pray for my people... I will gladly die for my beloved Lumina Kingdom... Please... oh please, save them...

Several hours had passed, William was the first one to visit Aesop's place, Norton, Aesop and Vera met halfway in Aesop's home and saw William frantically searching the whole house. Curious and worried the three rapidly ran towards him, William grabbed Norton's arms tightly

"The Prince is gone!"

William's proclamation had everyone's eyes widened in disbelief, William handed them a piece of parchment that they all read it together

The Exorcist fell down on his knees, he weakened reading the letter his friend had left them, he knew that they can't catch up to the Lunar Prince, if he left very early, the Musician only held the Exorcist up, brushing his hand over his back comfortingly. William and Vera grew fond of Eli even for a short while of being together.
