After a brief introduction of classes, Izuku was called upon the stage to give a speech.

"Well, since I wasn't told about this beforehand," he said softly glaring at Aizawa who was in the booth with a shit-eating grin.

"I'll just talk about a few things I've noticed. Firstly people think just because we survived the villain attack we're some big shots or at least they believe that we think we are. We are not. We were dead, and if the pros didn't arrive on time we wouldn't be here and all you'd be hearing about is a massacre. 

Secondly, I don't care what course you are from. We all are here to show what we are made of, so focus on that, not on 'defeating' the hero course or stuff. 

Thirdly, a hero's job is to save people and that requires a lot of will. This stage is to prove your grit, so focus on it. 

finally, since this is a friendly competition, well, all the best," said Izuku as he got down. The audience took some time to process this and then cheered.

"Wow, is he that kid that we met?" asked Deatharms as Mount Lady looked at him proudly.

'Hope he is doing good,' she thought as she looked at other students.

"ALRIGHT! THANKS FOR THAT MOTIVATING SPEECH! NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE FESTIVAL!" yelled Present Mic on the mic.

"Now let's start with it right away! There will be three rounds, a qualifier, a team, and finally an individual round. The sports will be selected by the roulette. SO let's find out the first one," said Midnight as Ochako enthusiastically looked at it.

"THE FIRST ROUND IS... OBSTACLE RACE!" yelled Present Mic as a map appeared on the screen.

Mic proceeded to explain the round as Izuku focused on the map.

'It's a map of USJ. It has danger zones marked, but it doesn't mention the obstacle. Well, let's go,' thought Izuku as he followed the crowd towards the tunnel.

'This is going to be overcrowded, I need to jump over them and run as fast as I can. Fuck slow and steady, I'm behind everyone by almost 10 years, I can't afford to lose a second when it matters,' thought Izuku as he prepared to go full speed.

 With that, Izuku took off at a blinding speed as he prepared to jump.

As soon as they entered the tunnel Izuku's prediction came to fruition so while he had some space he jumped forward, getting over half of the crowd. He used someone's shoulder as a footing for another jump as he cleared the crowd and appeared out of the tunnel while others struggled.

As for Ochako, she floated herself while Bakugo used his quirk to get out.

Kaminari just ran shocking everyone in his way as Ichigo and Sero used their snakes and tape respectively to sling above the crowd.

Shoto froze others while Momo used an iron pole to vault over the ice.

"Naive Todoroki san," she said as Bakugo too followed them closely.

While this was going on, Izuku, a little ahead of everyone else reached the first obstacle.

'Okay... I need to focus on running ahead, not defeating them,' thought Izuku as he just punched one robot and used the other to jump again, while the recoil destroyed the second robot.

'This is pretty easy, they're the entrance exam robots,' thought Izuku as he came face to face with a zero pointer.

"Ah, I remember you. I also hate you. So here," said Izuku as he used his air blast with one finger.

Except... it was his middle finger, and while others didn't notice this, this was on purpose.

'I hate you for almost stepping on Ochako,' thought Izuku as he destroyed another one using another middle finger of his.

'With that, I've run out of fucks to give,' he thought as he blitzed from between their legs just as others caught up to him. Not before picking up a piece of Robot though.

'Others are fast, but they focus too much on dealing with the obstacles. That way they won't be able to catch up,' thought Izuku as he reached the canyon.

'Okay, too difficult to jump over, I need to use the ropes,' he thought as he made his way on the rope.

Others were also there as they too used their quirks to reach the other side.

Once there, Izuku took off once more, as Todoroki and Bakugo followed him closely.

Soon, inch by inch both were gaining on him using their quirks as they reached the final obstacle.

'The ground was recently dug up. The only possible explanation is mines, since other things are a tad bit deadlier,' thought Izuku as watched a mine explode as someone had reached the field.

'Right...' he thought as he started to dig up some mines.

'What is he doing?' thought Bakugo and Kaminari as they passed him. Shoto had stopped using his quirk as he didn't want to make way for others while Bakugo in the fear of triggering other mines.

They were a quarter way in when they heard a large explosion behind them.

"WOOOOOO!" yelled Izuku excitedly as he immediately crossed half the distance.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ERASER! YOUR CLASS HAS BEEN DESTROYING THE RACE! FIRST MIDORIYA DESTROYED TWO ZERO-POINTERS, THEN TODOROKI FROZE OTHERS, AND NOW MIDORIYA IS USING THE MINES IN HIS FAVOR? WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING THEM?"

"Well, it's them. They're the ones who worked hard to become strong," said Aizawa.

"YOU HEARD THAT! AIZAWA IS A BAD TEACHER!" Present Mic yelled.

And when he said, almost in sync 19 voices from the track rose and together told Present Mic to go to hell.

Actually, 20, since while Shoto didn't say anything, Dark Shadow did.

"Wow, they're defensive about you," said Mic, impressed.2

"Yeah," grumbled Aizawa, as he was glad he had bandages on his face to hide his blush. Not that it was big enough to notice, but Present Mic could.

As for Izuku, he was getting close to the ground.

'They won't overtake me, but they're gaining on me. I need to... ah!'

Izuku thought as Bakugo and Shoto stopped giving a shit about others and used their quirks.

As for Izuku, he used his metal sheet to hit the ground hard, triggering a mine, and was sent flying towards the finish.

"DON'T THINK YOU WON DEKU!" yelled Bakugo, but he knew that Izuku had won.

As soon as Izuku reached the ground, he rolled to nullify the impact and ran at full speed, reaching the finish line.

"AND WE HAVE OUR WINNER! IT'S THE FIRST-YEAR STUDENT IZUKU MIDORIYA!"

As others reached the finish line, Bakugo grumbled while Ochako approached him.

"Wow, you were so awesome Deku kun. Almost made me jealous. Damn, I didn't do really good," said Ochako.

"Well, you did really well Uraraka san. Plus, what matters is that you gave it your all," Izuku said with a smile as Ochako blushed.

"Thanks," she said as she hugged him.

"Top 42 made it to the next round. Don't worry if you didn't we have other events for you to shine in. But for now, the next round is... CAVALRY BATTLE!" Midnight said.

She then proceeded to explain the scoring and the whole working, as Izuku hearing the word team started to look around.

'I'm going to be the target since I've got the most points, I think about 220 points,' thought Izuku.

"... AND THE FIRST PLACE IS 10 MILLION POINTS!"

"I know you did this on purpose Nezu," muttered Izuku as somewhere a certain rat demon chuckled while drinking tea.
