Before he could figure out what he was doing, he was halfway to Bakugo.

'FUUUUCCCKKKKKKKKK! Okay, think Izuku. What can you do to?'

Other heroes were yelling at him to stop.

"STOP!"

"IDIOT! YOU'LL GET KILLED!"

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"

'Page 25! Okay, calm down, and target the eyes,' he thought as he grabbed his bag and flung it. However, the throw was stronger than he expected. Dismissing it as a fight-or-flight response, he quickly tried to get the slime off of Bakugo.

"D-DEKU! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" yelled Bakugo as his mouth got uncovered.

"I... I couldn't just watch you die!" he yelled as his hand started t glow red.

"... Deku, unless you got some weird tattoos, your face is covered in some weird lines which are glowing," said Bakugo.

"What?" muttered Izuku as he noticed his glowing fist.

'LATER! GET HIM OUT FOR NOW!'

As he was thinking this, a giant hand came and grabbed him.

He turned to see Mount Lady who had her hand around him.

"THAT WAS PRETTY STUPID! But as of now, grab him and I'll pull you," she said as Izuku nodded.

"NO NEED TO WORRY! WHY? BECAUSE I AM HERE!" yelled All Might as he appeared next to him. 

"NOW!" yelled Izuku as Mount Lady pulled him with all her might, getting both Bakugo and Izuku out of danger.

The next moment, All Might used such a move that the weather had changed.

Bakugo was being praised by the heroes, while the news reporters swarmed All Might and Mount Lady. As for Izuku, he was being scolded by heroes.

"THAT WAS EXTREMELY RECKLESS OF YOU!" yelled Death Arms as Izuku looked down on the ground.

He then left to fill out some papers while the press finally left Mount Lady and went to All Might.

"HEY KID!" she yelled gaining Izuku's attention.

"Y-yes!" he replied, surprised.

"Listen, you were pretty reckless... but thank you," said Mount Lady with a smile.

"... Thank you? I didn't do anything, in fact, I came in your way," said Izuku looking down, confused and dejected.

"... Okay, you're stupid. Here are the facts, we were all scared. Me, other heroes, the civilians. W- I was making up excuses. You, however, even though just a kid, risked his life to save someone. If it wasn't for you... I'll be blunt, he would have died, and I would be the one to blame. So thank you for helping and also inspiring me to take the risk," said Yu as she put her hand on his shoulder.

"T-thank you!" said Izuku as he bowed down, and Yu chuckled.

"No, thank you, kid. Just don't do reckless things again," she said as she walked off.

'I was wrong... I lost my way up here kid, I thought being a hero was about being famous. Thank you for reminding me what it actually means kid.'

Izuku was on his way home, with a small smile on his face when Bakugo called him out.

"DEKU!" he yelled as he marched up to him.

'Here goes the whole mood,' he mentally groaned, imagining Bakugo ranting about being stronger and not needing his help.

"NERD! WHY DID YOU HELP ME?" yelled Bakugo as he looked straight into his eyes.

"S-sorry, Kacchan, I just couldn't see you like that," said Izuku nervously.

"I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT! I- just... WHY DID YOU HELP ME AFTER WHAT HAPPENED EARLIER? ARE YOU FUCKING LOOKING DOWN ON ME!"

"WHAT? NO! I-it's just... I never looked down on you Kacchan. I just wanted for you, and everyone to be safe. After all, that's what heroes do, don't they? They always win, but more than that, they save others, no matter who they are," said Izuku as he smiled softly.

Bakugo knew that. He really did. He figured that out.

---Flashback---

Bakugo looked around, watching as everyone praised him, and in the corner, heroes scolded Deku.

'But... why? I didn't do anything. In fact, I caused a fucking fire. Just because my quirk is strong, they looked over everything else. Deku jumped in to save me. Why is he being scolded?'

"You did well against the Sludge Villain," said Backdraft.

'BULLSHIT! I CAUSED A FUCKING FIRE THAT STOPPED KAMUI WOODS! AND WHO ARE YOU TO SAY ANYTHING? YOU WERE MAKING FUCKING EXCUSES WHILE DEKU AND THAT GIANT GIRL JUMPED IN TO SAVE ME! ALL MIGHT WAS THE ONE WHO DEFEATED THE FUCKING VILLAIN WHILE YOU STOOD BACK LIKE A FUCKING PUSSY'

"You have a great quirk, you'll make a great hero," said Kamui Woods, and this was something he would agree on. But... an old memory flashed in his mind.

'A hero is someone who saves everyone within his reach. And children, remember, it's not the quirk that makes the heroes'

This was a part of an interview of All Might. 

'Saves everyone...'

The events of the afternoon came into his mind. Then an image of a beat-up four-year Deku on the ground. And the multiple times he had beat him up. 

'Did I... ever save anyone?'

---End---

"W-WHATEVER! DON'T THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME JUST BECAUSE YOU SAVED ME! YOU STILL WON'T BEAT ME, NERD! YOU CAN TRY IF YOU WANT TO, TRY FOR THE UA EXAMINATION, TRY TO BEAT ME TO NUMBER ONE! YOU WON'T, I BET UPON IT!" he yelled as he turned. Izuku couldn't see it, but he was crying.

"W-what?"

"I SAID TRY TO BEAT ME AT THE UA EXAMS! YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO NERD!" 

And with that, Bakugo walked away. 

'Did he just... what the hell happened?' he thought as he turned towards his house.

'What was the glow?'

He was brought out of his thoughts as All Might suddenly appeared.

"I AM HE-" he was cut off as he coughed out a lot of blood.

"ALL MIGHT! ARE YOU FINE! WAIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"

"Calm down, Young Midoriya. As for what I am doing here, well... I am here to thank you for inspiring me," said All Might.

"What?"

"When you rushed to save that kid, you inspired me. But, why did you do it?" asked All Might curiously.

"W-well... I- my feet just moved on their own. I didn't know what I was doing," said Izuku truthfully.

"In the story of many great heroes, there is one thing in common. When the need arises, their bodies move before they can even think. That is called heroic instincts Young Midoriya. Before now, I was hopeful that you'd become a hero. But now, I am sure. However, I want to ask you for a favor..." said All Might as he went on to explain One for All.

"W-what! T-that's... is it for real?" 

"Yes. And you Young Midoriya are the one I deem worthy for it," said All Might.

"T-thank you All Might," said Izuku as he fell on his knees.

"Get up Young Midoriya. And about that other power of yours..." started All Might.

"Right! I think I am a late bloomer," said Izuku thoughtfully as he went on his muttering spree while All Might shook his head.

"Calm down Young Midoriya, and no, it's not a quirk," said All Might as he put his hands on his shoulder.

"It... isn't?"

"No it isn't. Don't worry, I know someone who'll explain it to you later. As for now, you just need to train with me. Meet me at the Dagobah beach tomorrow," said All Might.

At the Tokyo airport, a flight had just landed.

"Wow, almost 2 years since I last came here. Heh, it was when sensei was still alive," said a brunette as he stretched a little.

"So... TIME FOR RAMEN!"
