Chapter 5

While Noah stayed with witches to study witchcraft, the emperor was in wrath. His golden eyes was fuming with rage. The man who was always adept at concealing his emotions became like a disaster that would bring ruin upon the world.

The man whom Noah saw that day near the fountain was also present. The man with long raven hair, he was the first prince of the Atlas empire, Damien Atlas. It wasn't Damien's first time seeing his father in such a pathetic state. The only time Felix had reacted like this was on the day of his wife's death.

The maids were punished with execution for their neglect of duty. Felix ordered his elite knights to bring Noah back safely and quietly. From then on, the empire was in an uproar, trying to find Noah.

The main inhabitants of Witch's Valley were witches, hence entering there without the permission from their leader would make conflicts among races. Due to that reason, Felix had to request cooperation from the Witch leader. Thereby, Noah got an additional few days to stay in the valley and study witchcrafts. Soon he left the valley and continued his journey.

The witch taught him the method to concoct the medicine to cure his mana condition, with that medicine, he could gradually become a full-fledged mage. He continued his walking, consuming the stamina potions that he had created, without caring how long he had walked.

After walking for hours, Noah entered a crowded village named Orca. This village was different from the witch's valley. Orca was an orc village, but the village was an inhabitant of almost every races including goblins, humans, etc. There were many people trying to sell their products as well as showing magic to people in exchange of money. Noah wanted to get information on what was happening in the palace. The place to get information for free was indeed an inn. Noah walked around there and found an inn. He placed his bag on one of the tables and sat on the chair allocated there.

"Hey, didn't you hear about the missing prince? I heard that he had never been outside."

"May be its true that the emperor hated his youngest, if not for that i don't see any reason for the emperor to hide the third prince. May be the prince is an illegitimate child."

The companion replied.

Their conversation continued.

Noah understood the seriousness of his disappearance. He wasn't least bit sad. He had hated his father already. Noah didn't want to see the his father anymore. He wanted to see him many times, but he wasn't allowed to nor anyone visited him. He wanted to know why everyone had been treating him like a criminal. His childhood should've filled with the warmth of his family. But what he had gotten all these years was beatings and curse words. He couldn't even talk to someone without fear in his heart. The emperor, of everyone should know why Noah did it.

While Noah was immersed in thoughts, a robust man, with long silver hair that reached his hips sat opposite to Noah facing him. His upper body was covered with a single dark black robe ingrained with a single red blood ruby. Under his lush eyelashes were luscious wine-red eyes that kept looking at Noah. A ten year old boy followed him. The boy was radiant with ruby eyes and smooth silver hair.

Noah was surprised by the sudden appearances of these unknown faces. The man smiled at Noah and asked,

"Are we troubling you by sitting here?"

"No, It's okay. Its vacant after all."

Noah replied.

"This is my son. Looks like you both are similar in age."

The man said looking at Noah.

Noah was silent.

The man continued,

"Are you alone here? Where are your parents?"

Noah replied nonchalantly,

"My parents abandoned me, so I'm like... an orphan."

For a moment, Noah could feel the man's rage in his blood-red eyes.

"I see. So, how have you been living all these years?"

The man asked with a serious face.

Noah knew he didn't need to answer this strange man who was sitting across him. But Noah felt comfortable when talking to that man. The man always wore a smile on his face. May be Noah really hoped to have a father like him. Even though Noah knew its not good to share everything with a stranger, he continued to do so. Because it was the first time someone had talked to him with a smiling face.

"I lived my entire life imprisoned and assaulted."

This time, that man's rage was clearly visible on his face.

The man, frowned, asked Noah his name.

Noah replied,

"Noah."

The man introduced himself as Cassius  and his son as Dante.

Cassius ordered a lot of food, and told Noah to eat as much as he wanted since this was his treat. Noah didn't reject it, it was his first time someone giving him something happily. It was clear from Cassius's eyes and behavior that he cared a lot about Noah. But why? Noah didn't understood.
