As Lincoln sat across from Luan as they played cards, Naruto was chugging down some tea, Sasuke was sipping his, Kakashi was reading his book, Tazuna was drinking some sake laced tea, Tsunami was doing dishes, and Inari was looking own. As they did this, Sakura was looking at a torn picture of Tsunami, Tazuna, a younger Inari, and a man whose face was missing as it was torn off. She had a puzzled look as she asked: "Excuse me, but this picture is torn. Is there some reason for that?" as she looked back at Inari "Inari, you kept glancing at it while we ate dinner. It looks like there was someone else in the picture, but they got torn out. I mean, isn't it kind of strange?" and just as she said that Tsunami, Tazuna, and inari got quite. A few seconds past as Tsunami said: "It's my husband," as she continued washing the dishes

"They used to call him a hero in this land," Tazuna spoke in a sad tone as Inari got up from the table and left

"Inari, where are you going?!" Tsunami shouted to her son as Inari left without a response. Tsunami rushed to the door as she glared at Tazuna "Father, you know you can't talk about him like that in front of Inari, you know that!" she shouted as she left with an angered huff. Silence fell upon the house again as Lincoln sighed "I guess I'll go talk to him," he said as he got up

"What?" Tazuna asked

"I'm going to talk to him, that's final,"

"Now hold on a se-"

"Let him do it... it takes someone who knows the pain to sooth it," Luan stopped Tazuna as Lincoln walked out the door

"What are you talking about?" Kakashi asked

"Yeah. what do you mean?" Sakura questioned

"I guess I'm going to have explain, sit down, this is going to take a while," Luan spoke as she began to talk

With Lincoln:

Lincoln found himself on a dock overlooking the ocean. The moon was in the sky as a reflection bounced off the water. Looking at the end of the dock was Tsunami and her son. Hearing them talk, he slowly walked up behind them as his boots clacked against the wood. Hearing them whisper, he said: "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

"What?" they asked

"The moon, it's nice, isn't it?" Lincoln asked as he sat beside them

"What are you doing here?" Inari asked

"Oh, nothing much, just came to talk,"

"There's nothing to talk about, j-just leave us alone and go away,"

"Too bad, brat, I'm here to talk and I'll talk. And if you don't like it... well I guess you don't like it,"

"W-what are you going to do?" Tsunami asked as Lincoln laid down on the dock and looked up at the night sky

"I just have a few words to say... I can feel your pain," Lincoln said as Inari punched his leg

"NO YOU DON'T!" Inari shouted

"INARI!"

"Who threw that rock?" Lincoln said without a care in the world as he sat up and looked around. Inari punched him again, this time in the arm as Lincoln kept on looking "Who's throwing those rocks? I swear, someone is going to have an eye poked out or something," Lincoln said as Inari was crying

"YOU'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND! MY DAD'S DEAD! HE'S BEEN DEAD FOR OVER 4 YEARS!" Inari shouted at the top of his lungs as he threw another punch. Lincoln caught the punch as he started to add pressure to his hand. Inari was feeling pain in his fist as Lincoln said "Really? That long? I haven't seen my dad in 11 years," as Inari looked up at him

"W-what?"

"You heard me, I haven't seen my dad in 11 years. Nore have I seen my mother or my 7 other sisters. Hehe, hell I never even seen my youngest sister grow up. So if you want to know what it's like to have your family torn away from you... just look at me," Lincoln spoke in a sad, but understanding tone as he brought Inari into a hug "they say men don't, but you're not there yet until you can smile and look back on the good times had. So cry, Inari... and let the world hear your sorrow," Lincoln said as he felt Inari scream into his chest. With a smile on his face, Lincoln rubbed Inari's back as Tsunami looked at the two with a smile plastered on her face and tears threatening to fall.

With Luan:

"Y-you haven't seen your parents in 11 years?" Naruto asked

"Yup, nor any of our siblings," Luan said

"Wow... I-I have nothing to say," Sakura said

"Then don't, all we're trying to do now is get back home,"

"I see... well I hope you do," Kakashi said as Luan sighed

"Thanks, but I would like to know why Inari stormed out,"

"Yeah, what was up with that? I mean, what happened to him?" Sakura asked

"Is there a story behind this?" Kakashi asked Tazuna

"He wasn't his real father, he came into our family later. He brought so much happiness and he and Inari were very close," Tazuna said with a sad chuckle as Naruto looked at the picture "back in those days, Inari would laugh all the time," he continued as his voice was starting to choke up "b-but then,"

"Hmm?" Kakashi hummed as everyone in the room looked at him. Tears started to fall from his eyes as he looked back at them "but all that ended! Now all he does is cry and frown! He never laughs or smiles! Ever since that day, everything changed!" Tazuna said as he told the story how Kaiza, Inari's stepfather, was killed at Gato's hands

The Next Day:

In the middle of a forest, we find a young woman in a pink kimono with long black hair. She was picking herbs as suddenly, there was a loud crash "DODGE!" she heard a woman shout as there was another voice

"AHHHH!" she heard as she ducked and someone hit the tree in front of her. Looking back up, she saw it was Naruto, as he rubbed his face in pain "Ow! Ow! Ow, ow, ow!" he said as he turned around and looked at her "Oh, sorry, are you alright?" he asked

"Uhh, y-yes, what happened to you?" she asked

"What ha- wait! HIDE ME!" Naruto shouted in panic as he jumped into the trees

"NARUTO? WHERE ARE YOU?!" she heard the same female voice from before as Luna stood in front of her "Hey, you seen a blond brat around here with whisker marks on his face?" she asked

"N-no, sorry, but I did see someone wearing orange go that way," she said as she pointed in a random direction

"Thanks, NARUTO, I'M COMING FOR YOU!" Luna shouted as she dashed off in that direction. When she was gone, Naruto came down from the tree and breathed a sigh of relief

"Whew, thanks, I was scared for a second that you would rat me out," Naruto said as he sat down

"It's nothing, but what are you two doing out here so early?" the girl asked

"Just training... well I guess you could call it training. She calls it 'Dodge', but I don't get it," Naruto explained as she giggled

"I think I can see it clearly, so what's your name?"

"Name's Naruto! Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm going to be Hokage! Believe it!" Naruto said with a smile

"Well, Naruto, my name's Haku,"

Somewhere Else:

Sakura, Kakashi, Sasuke, Lincoln, and Luan were just waking up as they ate breakfast. As they did so, Kakashi was deep in thought, of which didn't go unnoticed by Lincoln and Luan "So, Naruto and Luna aren't here this morning?" Tazuna asked

"She and Naruto decided to go out early and start training," Lincoln said as he cracked his neck

"He's gone completely crazy, I feel sorry for Luna having to train him," Sakura said with a yawn

"No, I beg to differ. If you should feel sorry for anyone, it should be Naruto for having to deal with Luna," Luan said as she ate

"Why's that?" Sasuke asked

"This training is different. It's called 'Dodge', which basically is just as it sounds," Lincoln explained

"'Dodge'? I've never heard of it, what do you do?" Kakashi asked

"Didn't I just say it? It's just as it sounds. Luna tries to hit you with all her might and you have to dodge the hits. Hell, you need to avoid anything period! One time, she actually hit one of the genin with a bench, broke the bench to pieces and the kid had to stay in the hospital for 4 months!" Luan said as everyone's eyes widened

"WHAT?!" they shouted, except for Lincoln

"Yeah, but I'm pretty sure he can survive," Lincoln said as Sasuke got up

"I'm going for a walk," Sasuke said

"What? But we just started eating!" Sakura said, but as she looked at his plate, it was empty as all his food has been eaten "That was fast," she said as her eyebrow twitched

With Naruto:

Naruto was gathering herbs with Haku as he sat down "Man, you start work early, huh?" he said as he put some in Haku's basket

"I like working early, it's calm and quiet. But I didn't think anybody would be up this early either," Haku replied as Naruto gave a nervous chuckle

"Hehehe, well like I said, I'm training," Naruto replied

"So... are you a ninja?"

"Huh?"

"That headband of yours. Are you a ninja or are you just making a fashion statement?"

"You noticed that? GREAT! Only super cool ninja can wear these!" Naruto stated with a large smile as he pointed at his headband

"Oh really? I see that's very impressive," Haku said as Naruto chuckled "but does that mean you're training for something dangerous?"

"What? I'm just getting better so I can get stronger!"

"But why get stronger?"

"No! No! I need to get stronger and stronger! I have to keep practicing!" Naruto said as Haku squinted at him

"Huh, that so? Why is it so important?"

"So I can become the best ninja in my village! Then everyone will know who I am and they'll all respect me!" Naruto said with a large grin on his face "That and I have to prove something to someone!"

"So are you doing it for the certain person, or are you training for yourself?" Haku asked

"Wha?" Naruto asked as Haku giggled a bit

"What? What's so funny?! Huh?" Naruto shouted in outrage

"Is there... someone who's precious to you?" Haku asked

"Some who- what are you saying, sis? What do you mean precious?" Naruto asked as Haku's eyes had a shaded glaze over them. Haku made a stern look as if she was on a nostalgia trip. Naruto looked at Haku for awhile until "You see... when someone has something precious they want to protect, then they become genuinely strong," Haku stated as Naruto smiled

"Yeah, I hear ya. I know exactly what you're saying," Naruto said as Haku picked up the basket

"That's enough herbs, thank you for the help,"

"It's nothing, really,"

"No, it's not, you're kind, and because of that... you'll get strong, stronger than you can even imagine,"

"R-really?"

"Yup, well I guess this is goodbye,"

"Alright, will I see ya around?" Naruto asked

"Sooner than you think," Haku "also... I'm a boy," he said as he walked away, leaving Naruto in shock. As Haku vanished through the tree's, he suddenly found killing intent behind him as a shadow loomed over him. An evil red shine sparkled in a dark figures eye as Naruto turned around to see Luna looking down at him "Fo~~ound y~~~o~~~u," Luna said as Naruto tried to make a run for it "DODGE!" Luna shouted as she appeared in front of him and kicked him in the nose with the heel of her foot. He was sent flying through the trees as she slammed her foot on the ground and looked in the direction of where Haku walked off "Sly kid, but I don't forget a voice, 'Hunter Nin'," Luna said with a smirk as she marched in the direction of Naruto
