Kaede

"Yeah right don't lie to me. There's no way Hachi would lose to you." Camie says.

"Normally you would be right but this time we teamed up with the Flying Fish Riders and he didn't stand a chance." Macro says.

"The Flying Fish Riders, dammit." The star fish says and the snail changes faces.

"Camie you're all right, that's a relief." A different male voice says and I assume it's this Hachin.

"Hachin don't tell me they really beat you." Camie says.

"I let my guard down. Anyways, no matter what they tell you don't come to save me. I'll beat these guys somehow and get out on my own. I'll meet up with you later so don't worry." Hachin says and I take Robin's empty cup from her. I head to the kitchen and clean the cups before putting them away. When I come back out we're changing directions and I raise an eyebrow but I have a feeling we're heading to help out Hachin. Shrugging I sit against the railing before yawning.

"Wake me when we get there." I say before falling asleep.

"We're here Kaede." Luffy calls and I feel his fist connect with my cheek.

"Why the hell did you punch me?" I ask rubbing where he hit me and glaring at me.

"It was an accident." Luffy says and I shake my head.

"Sure, it was." I say rolling my eyes as we approach the Flying Fish Riders' Base. "I'm heading up to the top of the crow's nest to pick them off."

"Don't take them all out." Luffy says as I pull out my sniper rifle before climbing up to the top of the crow's nest.

"I won't. I'll make sure to leave you some." I yell back as I pull myself onto the roof and I start inspecting the base. Looks like everyone's laying in wait for an ambush I think as we approach a cage they have situated in the middle of the bay. I lay down on the crow's nest and set up my rifle's stand before looking through the scope. I ignore the conversation going on below me at the moment and after a couple of minutes of not doing anything I let out an annoyed growl.

"Are we saving this octopus guy now or no?" I yell looking over the side and spotting a captured Camie. "We saving Camie as well?"

"Yeah we're saving them both." Nami yells back as Luffy saves Camie.

"Let's get this show on the road then." I yell just as the Flying Fish Riders make their appearance. I pick off any of the Flying Fish raiders I can with my Brenodi Heavy Rifle and after a while I spot a pair of them with a net in between them.

"Say hello to a watery grave." Duval says as the net pair dive into the water with Sanji stuck in the net. I curse before throwing my gun back in storage as quickly as possible.

"Hang in there Sanji I'll save you." Luffy yells running towards the water as Zoro tries to hold him back while running beside him.

"We don't need both of you drowning let me handle this one." Zoro says as I jump off the roof of the crow's nest onto the yard before continuing to run along it towards the ocean.

"I'm on it. You humans are too slow underwater you'll never catch up in time." Hatchi says.

"You're right but you don't stand a chance against the speed of my men. Come on, even you should know that flying fish are the fastest creature in the sea and my men have oxygen tanks. So, they can take their sweet time making sure your friend's nice and dead before he comes up. See I thought of everything." Duval says.

"I got him guys." I yell as I dive off the end of the yard without losing speed.

"You won't be able to catch up in time." Nami yells.

"You can't swim though." Franky yells at the same time.

"Trust me on this guys. I'll get the love cook." I say as I silently slip into the water with almost no ripple on the water surface.

I easily glide through the water towards where the flying fish are dragging Sanji down and in no time, I catch up to them. With two well placed kicks I take out the fish and I get Sanji out of the steel net. I push off the water that my feet were situated on and shoot up through the water as fast as I can (Almost the exact same as Sanji's Blue Walk after the time-skip). I surface a minute later and make sure Sanji's head is above as well.

"Kaede's got him." Chopper yells happily as Sanji coughs a few times spitting out some water but after that he doesn't move.

"Sanji," When he does nothing I try again. "Sanji, cook, crap cook, curly brow, love cook, stupid, idiot, your cooking sucks." I raise an eyebrow when he doesn't respond to any before turning to where Zoro was standing beside Brook.

"Yohoho what's up Kaede?" Brook asks.

"He's not waking up. Say something to him Zoro." I say turning to look at my boyfriend.

"You'll never get a girl crap cook, especially with a face like that. It looks just like the picture on the poster." Zoro says and Sanji's up almost instantly.

"Save this fighting for after you deal with him." I say stopping Sanji from saying anything and he grumbles but he does listen. I stiffen when I sense the King's Haki that Luffy just released.

"Cow's acting weird all of a sudden." Zoro says as I watch the bull run away from Luffy before fainting a few steps away.

"So, he's got it too." I whisper to myself and Sanji's already swimming towards the shore.

"What happened?" Franky asks.

"Guess it passed out." Usopp says.

"Did I just miss something? Hey Luffy, what was that?" Nami yells.

"I didn't do anything, I think." Luffy says looking towards Nami and my jaw partially drops in shock.

"I don't understand you Luffy. How did you just unlock that in a non-stressful situation and at that caliber no less?" I scream in frustration and everyone looks at me.

"You know what that was?" Nami asks and I nod as I grip my hat in frustration.

"It's called King's Haki or Conquering Haki. Only one in a million have it even though I now know six people who have it for sure." I say.

"Didn't you do something similar before?" Robin asks and I blink before thinking back.

"Oh, shit I did, didn't I?" I ask remembering when I used it on the animals back when we were dealing with Shiki.

"Yes, you did. I was wondering for a bit what that was. So besides yourself and Luffy that means you know four people with it?" Robin asks and I shake my head.

"I never included myself on that list so it's five if you exclude Luffy." I say swimming towards the shore and when I get there Zoro offers me a hand which I take. I make myself lighter before he does help me out of the water since I don't want to agitate his wounds as he pulls me up.

"Thanks," I say shaking myself to get some of the water off of me.

"Your welcome." Zoro says stepping away in annoyance when some of the water goes his way and I stick my tongue out at him.

"You know Sanji's totally going to continue that argument that didn't even fully get started." I say and Zoro nods.

"Yeah he probably will." Zoro says shaking his head.

"Going to tell them or not yet?" I ask and Zoro shrugs.

"We'll see what he says and then I'll decide." Zoro says.

"Tell us what?" Brook asks.

"You'll see. It's probably going to come up once we finish up here." I say.

"You know what it is Kaede?" Brook asks and I nod. "Should've known you two are best friends."

"I guess we are." Zoro says looking at me and smiling.

"We are indeed." I say smiling.

"How'd he catch up to the flying fish? They're the fastest sea creature alive." Duval says.

"Mermaids are actually the fastest. Are you actually a merman?" Pappug asks and I shake my head.

"No," I say pulling up part of my pants so they can see my legs aren't fins.

"How could a human possibly catch up with the flying fish?" Duval asks looking directly at me.

"Most people wouldn't call me human." I say.

"You're human though." Luffy says tilting his head in confusion and I snort.

"Not according to three quarters of the world." I say shaking my head.

"Then what do they consider you?" Duval asks.

"Inhuman." I say shrugging.

"I meant like Fishman, Giant, Long-Arm, Long-Legged. Something like that." Duval yells and I scratch my head.

"I've been called the devil, a demon, but I think the most used one is Cursed One." I say before shrugging. "I don't pay attention to that stuff since I usually kick their asses and speaking of kicking asses get to work Sanji."

"Don't have to tell me." Sanji says before getting to work.

"I'm heading back to the ship now." I say jumping in the water and swimming my way back over to the Sunny. I scale the side of the ship easily and land softly on the deck before proceeding to shake myself off.

"What are you a dog?" Usopp asks with his hands up to ward off the water.

"Nope just soaked and this is one of the quickest ways to get dry." I say shaking my arms one last time to get the water off.

"Quickest way is to dry yourself off not shake yourself like a dog." Usopp says and I stick my tongue out at him.

"I'll go do that then since you're complaining about it so much." I say walking below deck and into my room. I use the Mera-Mera Fruit to instantly dry off before changing into another pair of jeans and a burgundy sweater. I walk back onto the deck to find that we've left the destroyed Flying Fish Raiders' Base and there's the Takoyaki stand beside the Sunny.

"Here you go Kaede." Zoro says handing me a box of takoyaki and I smile in thanks. I take a bite and let out a gasp of surprise at how good they taste.

"These are amazing." I say before eating another and smiling even more. I eat another one and savour the taste. I spot Zoro smiling as he looks at me and I tilt my head to the side in confusion.

"Why are you staring at me?" I ask.

"You look cute." Zoro says and I lightly smack his arm.

"What's cute about me eating takoyaki?" I ask.

"Your face lights up in delight each time you eat one and it's cute." Zoro says and I shake my head while trying to hide my light blush.

"Shut up." I mutter jabbing a takoyaki into his mouth since he's laughing lightly but Zoro just smiles as he eats it.

"Hey guys, hey you guys. Wait don't go." A voice yells and I look over to see the Flying Fish Raiders making there way over to us. "You can't leave before I get to say thank you."

"An idiot is here." I say ignoring the guy as I continue eating my takoyaki and taking a seat on the bench beside Robin with Zoro taking a seat beside me after he grabs a cup of sake.

"That's for sure." Zoro says taking a sip of his drink and I steal it from him when he's done. I take a sip as well before handing it back to Zoro who takes another sip. After we get our fill of takoyaki everyone gathers on the Sunny as Sanji hands out drinks.

"Before we start anything else." Sanji says before turning to look at Zoro. "What was it that you said back their moss head?"

"You'll never get a girl crap cook, especially with a face like that. It looks just like the picture on the poster." Zoro repeats what he had said to wake up Sanji.

"It does not and I'll get someone before you marimo. You'll scare everyone off with that always grumpy mug of yours." Sanji says walking over towards Zoro who's trying to hide the smirk on his face. I shake my head with a small smirk as I watch from the mast bench and I hear Robin chuckling beside me.
