Beep, Beep. I groan and roll over to turn off my alarm. I see I got a message on my phone. Ugh, if this is Cole complaining about I don't even know what, I swear... and then I see it's Raven. How the hell did she get this number?! Whatever, I'll deal with this later.

You think you know me? Well you don't. I know more about you than you know about me. See you in a few hours. There's a surprise for you.

I sigh and get dressed. I can already tell it's going to be a long day. I get my homework from my desk and shove it in my backpack. Let it be noted that I HATE MATH! It's just confusing and frustrating. I gather up anything else I'll need for school today and head downstairs.

My mom is making breakfast. She puts a bowl of cereal in front of me. I look at it like a zombie and slowly start to eat it. She hands me a cup of hot chocolate. Great. Sugar. She goes into the hallway closet and returns with a scarf.

"I checked the weather. It's pretty cold. 27. Here's a scarf.", my mom says, handing me the red scarf. I take it and get on my coat. After grabbing my stuff, I head out. I can see what she meant by cold. I walk to the bus stop, burying my hands in my pockets. Really need some gloves.

I get to the bus stop. Cole is there, a couple of 7th graders, and some 6th graders. I take Cole aside and show him the text from Raven.

"What does she mean, 'There's a surprise for you'?", he asks. I shrug. I really don't get what goes through Raven's head. Luna doesn't take our bus, but I have her phone number, so I forward Raven's message to her. She reads it, and replies:

Let me handle this. She's my sister.

I smile, knowing someone is trying to do something about that insane girl. I'm still wondering what she meant by surprise. It could mean lots of thing, knowing her, not all of them good.

The bus ride to school is pretty normal, if you consider a bunch of screaming 6th graders and messy 7th graders normal. Cole and I are the only 8th graders on our bus. I mostly stare out the window and he just falls asleep again and I have to wake him up again when we get to school.

When I get off the bus, I know something isn't right. All the teachers are standing outside and what looks like the rest of the school. I look up and gasp. Written across the entire building is a picture of a clock, with hands pointing at 12 and 6, and the words HAVE FUN IN THE UNDERWORLD!, in what looks to be blood. The principal turns to the crowd of kids.

"We are going to continue our day like normal, but we will be checking people's lockers for things that might have done this.", she says, motioning to the clock. I'm appalled that someone would even do that. Use blood to write on a school... What if this was the surprise Raven was talking about? Yep, it was probably her. Correction: It is her. Nobody else would do that. I don't think anyone has been inside, because when we go into the building, there's more graffiti, and no one seems to know it had been there, judging by their reactions. How much more of this do we have to go through?

First period, Math. Bleh. We had to take a test over inequalities and equations. I'm pretty sure I got at least a C-, though. Second period, Science. pH analysis and acids and bases. Interesting, I like science.

We're in third period now. Gym. Except it's November, so we go to an indoor pool. We get on the bus. I fall in the first seat next to Cole, and look around for Raven. I see her in the back, talking to Serena. Those two are trouble, I swear. Cole is rambling on about God knows what, so I just nod. I'm just staring out the window. As we get off the bus, I grab Cole's towel and goggles, because he left it on the seat. That's him all over. Very forgetful.

The teacher splits us up into two groups. One goes to swimming lessons over with three swim coaches and are split into three smaller groups. The other group goes to the other side of the pool and gets to have free time, like having races or using the diving board. Later, the groups switch. Our group had the coaches first, so we go over there. Crap. I'm in Raven's small group. At least Cole's in my group. Our coach tells us to get a kickboard so we can learn how to kick. We go through how to kick, the butterfly stroke, and floating.

After we switch over to the free time area of the pool, Cole and I go to the diving board. He does a pencil dive, and while I wait for him to come up, I think of what I'm going to do. Quickly, I look at Raven. She's make water art, by casting a spell on it and making it into designs in the air. Cole still hasn't come up. What is taking him so long? Raven gets up and walks to the edge of the pool. I look into the water. I can see a fuzzy shape at the bottom. Crap. I turn around, panicking. All the other kids in our group are starting to panic as well. Raven notices I'm about to jump in and get him, but she beats me to it. She dives in the water, and neither her or Cole are seen for the next few minutes.

I'm really scared, for Cole, and even Raven. Nothing to worry about now, because Raven just came up with Cole. I run over. He's not breathing.

"Get him on the ground. Back up.", she says. Serena come up and helps me get him onto the floor. Raven's hands turn the all too familiar green. Oh no, she is not doing this here. I grab her arm.

"What are you doing?! I'm not going to hex him. He's drowned, and I can get the water out of his system.", she snarls. I back up, scared out of my wits. She passes her hands over his body and then stops over his mouth. She opens his mouth and does a motion that looks like she's drawing something out of a jar. She repeats this 2-3 times. Water floats up out of his mouth and she holds that in the air with one hand, and with the other hand she puts her hand on his chest and he starts breathing again. We all crowd around him and Raven gets up and dives into the pool again.

So yeah, after the pool incident (Cole hit his head on the bottom of the pool), we got back on the bus. (I carried him onto the bus with Serena's help. He's still unconscious and going to the Emergency Room.) This'll be around the school by probably 6th period. I don't know why but either Raven is getting nicer or we're getting meaner. We'll find out.
