School is out and I was meeting my best friend Lucas Ollie* Valhalla* Eros, aka L.O.V.E, but his middle names are nicknames. However my name if even weirder. Diana *Equality Ariadne *Talker Hemera. Aka DEATH even more weird? Right? Although some are nicknames too. So we decided to meet at the park for some lunch, no this was not a date! I don't have any love interests! I am 17! Okay I get that is when you start dating, but... I am so getting of track now! Curse you ADHD! Or Perry the Platypus! So I was heading to the park when I saw a cyclops battling a kid my age. Which honestly was impossible but I'm not on meds so yeah. He had ebony black hair, dark brown eyes so dark you couldn't tell if they were black, and pale olive skin. He brought out a dark sword that radiated darkness, even though the sun was high in the sky. He ran the cyclops through with the sword and it exploded into golden dust.
"Who are you!" I yelled grabbing his shoulders and dragging him into an alleyway, which I later learned never to do again.
"Nico di Angelo, you?" He asked bluntly
"Diana Hemera, but I have a feeling you already knew that," I told him
"Yeah I did, now where's Lucas? Your father told me to find you here." He replied
"I was supposed to meet Lucas at the park, and how do you know my father? He has been missing all my life!" I practically yelled
"Your dad works for my dad, and he told me to find you so I could bring you somewhere safe, well safe for people like us at least." Nico paused
"Wait a minute, safe from what?" I yelled again
Nico tensed "You saw that cyclops I was fighting, there are many more like that, deadlier than it too. Diana Ariadne Hemera," I flinched when he said my full name, "you may not believe me when I say this but the Greek gods and goddesses are real."
"Wow" Was all I could muster
"Really wow?" He said "You get told that there is a whole new world and all you say is wow?"
"Yeah, I'm special that way, but I do believe you, after seeing the cyclops it is kinda hard not too," I told him
"Good, but now we need to find Lucas and get you guys to camp, it's where people like us go." Nico informed me.
"Fine, but when do I get to meet my dad? I have to meet my dad!" I yelled at him dragging him to Lucas.
