Prologue
The day I saw my first "Fiend" was the beginning of my scary, exhilarating, and exciting life. The thing had crept up on me in the middle of the night. I didn't know how it had got in there, but I was glad it did.
The previous two days, no one had came to check in on me. Everything in the "hospital" had went silent, but I didn't notice anything off at first.
I was put into solitary confinement for that week, but I became suspicious when no one had brought me food.
I was lucky to have managed to sneak some inside before they had threw me in, so I wasn't exactly worried about starving and what not.
But the second night, as I stared up into darkness, my surroundings pitch black, the door had creaked open. It was a sliding door from the outside so it was a bit easier to get inside rather than to exit.
A nurse I had seen a few times before had stepped in, almost as if she were mind controlled, shaking with every step she took towards me.
I had immediately jumped up and backed away from her slowly, trying my best to get away from her.
She was sickly pale, and her eyes were lifeless. A misty blue swirling around like a cloud as white as her skin.
She took another step and raised her right hand. That's when I saw the blood. Her hand was completely drenched in a crimson paste. As the hand reached closer, I launched a kick, spartan style, straight to the ribs, sending her 5 feet back.
I took that as an opportunity and ducked out through the crack of the door.
I pulled the door shut, locking her in there. As soon as I turned around another face was in my way, this one way more frightening.
In front of me was the building security guard. With eyes were void of all life, he looked right into my eyes, with his own, decorated completely white and misty like clouds. I felt attracted and absorbed, and for a moment, I wanted to stay still. To see what would have happened.
But I was nudged out of my hypnotism once I saw the red. His mouth area was completely spattered with blood, and I could smell the human flesh from his breath.
On reaction I punched it right in the face. Snap! Its entire head turned a little further than I had intended, but it didn't keel over or clutch its face in pain. Its head had only turned slightly and looked right back at me.
I thought the punch would have floored him, or at least stunned him for a bit, but it had only nudged its head. Later on I would come to find out that they didn't process pain. But at that time knowledge was the least thing I was worried about.
I went off with a series of punches. It didn't feel anything at all, but around the 6th hit, it fell to the floor, something coming off of the security guards belt.
Laying right on the floor, a completely black G47 Pistol, almost beckoning me to grab it. I soon realized I didn't have much time to think about picking it up because right then, 4 more of those creatures were now heading for me. I snatched the gun up and aimed for the first ones head, about 30 feet down the hallway.
Bang!
