"Ah, that was so embarrassing, Jaehwa," Mina whined, stomping her foot like a little kid. I could still see a pink shade tinting her face.

"I just wanted to help," I told her. "You said you wanted to talk to him."

"I know, I know. I wish I wasn't so awkward. I dropped my pencil at least four times." Mina turned in a circle while I grabbed my homework binders from my locker to slide into my bag. "Ugh, I kept making myself look nervous."

"I ship it," Yooni put in with a small, teasing chuckle.

Mina exhaled sharply. "I need to find my sister, she's driving me home today. Bye!" She waved before pacing down the hall.

"I would love to skip my forty minute bus ride and have Jaehyun drive me home," I sighed, "but he has work right after school."

"But if your brother drove you home, then who would I talk to on the ride home?" Someone asked me from behind.

I could already tell it was Junwook, but I still felt delighted when I turned around and saw him standing there.

"Speaking of which, we should head that way," I added, giving him a nod.

"I'm walking to the library today," Yooni told us.

"Isn't it cold out?" I asked, worried for my friend.

Yooni shrugged. "The library is just down the road. I'll be fine. See you both tomorrow, it was nice meeting you, Junwook!"

Then it was just me and Junwook... but not for long.

As we started walking towards the school's main entrance, Sagang jogged up to us. He was already in a pair of basketball shorts and a shirt to practice in.

"Hey," he greeted the both of us. "Are you excited to practice tonight?" Sagang asked Junwook.

"Yeah, I saw some videos on your Instagram last period just to see what kind of music you play. You guys sound amazing."

"It'll be even better once you join." Sagang and Junwook gave each other friendly vibes, making me feel warm inside.

"I'm just as excited to see you guys play tomorrow," I put in.

Sagang sheepishly smiled from my sentence. "I hope you'll like it. We've been working really hard lately."

I gave a small laugh. "I guess we'll have to see just how great it is tomorrow. You better get to basketball practice, Sagang."

Sagang left with a grin and a nod of departure.

Yooni's P.O.V

I stepped out into the February weather. There was a breezing blowing by that nipped the back of my neck and ears that were bare with my hair in a ponytail. I hugged my arms close to me, starting to think that maybe I should've gone home and waited for my mom to take me to the library to study, since I can't drive and my house doesn't have wifi to let me do online assignments.

I blew air through my clenched teeth and shivered a bit. Even with a long sleeved shirt, I could still feel the temperature through the fabric. Jaehwa was right about the weather.

My ears tuned to the sound of footsteps walking next to me. I glanced to the side to see Eunsung walking. He gave me a wide grin.

"Yes?" I asked. My voice wavered a bit with my teeth chattering.

"You look cold," Eunsung told me. "Why are you walking around without a coat or jacket?"

"I underestimated how freezing it would be while walking to the library," I admitted.

Eunsung chuckled while continuing to walk with me. "Do you mind if I accompany you there? I have to check out a book for a book report."

I shook my head. "I don't mind at all... Where's Deiji?"

"Ji and her friends are going to see a movie."

"And she didn't invite you?"

Eunsung shrugged. His eyes dropped from me and to the sidewalk we walked on. "No, she's hanging out with her friends. Probably watching a sappy movie and crying together."

I slowly nodded. "How did you two get together?"

Eunsung made a sort of click noise with his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "I don't think she even realized I was there until I actually tried talking to her. I had a crush on her and it was like one of those crushes where you've never talked to them, but your heart just seems to like them." Eunsung's hands snaked into his jacket pockets. "I don't know what made my heart decide to lean towards her, but I went through with it and she ended up liking me back."

"Cute," I commented, suddenly feeling a little colder than before. "You both are goals."

"We're alright." He smiled at the ground before picking up his gaze to meet mine. "Your ears look freezing."

"Yeah, but it's fine."

Eunsung brought his hands up and covered my frozen ears with grinning again. His warmth radiated to my numb skin, also making my cheeks start to burn with a blush I hoped he couldn't see.

"Better?" he asked.

I laughed away the butterflied in my stomach, brushing his hands away. Which I wish I didn't have to, but if he would've stayed for even a second longer, I think I would've exploded.
