The Outer God Begins the Unification of Remnant
I looked at the girl, she was about sixteen, she had Platinum hair with red highlights. Her eyes were full of innocence, so I decided to tell her. I don't know why I decided to tell the girl, actually. I just did.
"I forced these creatures to have Unity energies flow through their bodies. Unity energies are a special energy that me and my followers can use, and you are?" I told the girl.
"That's amazing!! If you could do that repeatedly, you could probably change save our world!!" The girl squealed, "oh sorry. My name is Ruby Rose."
I looked down at Ruby, really looked at her. She seemed so innocent and... Something else that I couldn't quite place.
"You could do it as well child, if you became a follower of mine. Plus if you proved yourself enough, you could become immortal. Only should you want to however, I have no intention of forcing you." I said to Ruby.
Ruby looked at me, and I mean really, really looked at me.
"Despite how evil you look, you are actually a nice person. Sure, I'll join you, but first let's go talk to my team." She said.
I could FEEL the smug grins on the faces of my Crimson Kings, I turned to them, my yellow/gold glowing eyes glaring, and they only chuckled smugly.
"I once was as evil as I look now. The evilness got me assassinated, and reborn. I decided to be a good person this time around. It helps that I have such good assistants." I said.
She only smirked knowingly.
"Evil never pays, right?" She said.
"Yes, but it also always finds a way." I told her.
Everyone looked at me weirdly then, I only shrugged in response.
"The brighter the light shines, the darker the shadows become, and the darker the shadows become, the brighter the light shines. They are 2 sides of the same coin. Yin and Yang are actually perfect representations of good and bad." I gave a cursory glance to everyone around me, they all looked a little surprised at my philosophical statement.
"What's 'Yin' and 'Y-ah-ng'? Cause I know you aren't talking about my sister." Ruby asked.
"Yin and Yang are a representation of the bad in good and the good in bad. Thus is why I said they are perfect representations of good and bad. No matter how good your actions are, there is always someone who will see your action as non-beneficial to them. The opposite is also true. Does this make sense, young Ruby?" I asked the girl.
She nodded vigorously, clearly understanding what I was telling her, I hope. She began to walk in a, decidedly random, direction.
"Do you know where you are going, young Ruby?" I asked before she was able to walk off.
*Nervous chuckling* "Uhhhhh, Imma be honest I'm completely lost." She said, embarrassed that I called her out so quickly.
"Did you decide with your friends upon a set coordinate should one of you be separated from the rest?" I asked the young girl.
"Go back to Beacon." Ruby said sheepishly.
"Then let's go." I replied, taking her hand to keep the young girl by my side.
An idea came to me, so I turned to my COU(Creatures of Unity)
"Find Grimm and turn them to the side of Unity. We will meet again at a later date, guard this portal with your lives." I ordered the two bears.
They both nodded and lumbered off to find their old comrades, I nodded and picked up Ruby and placed her on my shoulders.
"Tell me which way Beacon is, red child of roses." I told her.
"To the West of here." Ruby said.
I turned to the West, my Crimson Kings preparing to follow me, and started running for the first time in a century. It felt amazing and I loved every second of it, but all too soon we came upon a cliff. I looked to make sure that my followers were still work me, which they were. I decided to try something.
I began expanding my power outwards, creating a sphere of influence around me, over that I could manipulate as I see fit, at first it was only a few inches away from me, but soon enough it was a sphere nearly twenty feet in diameter. For some reason I could tell that I wouldn't be able to make it any larger for a while. I'll need to look into that. I felt my COU numbers increasing, so I summoned four of the strongest ones to come and guard my position. They came running quickly. They all took up guard positions, seeming to evolve to for their new positions better, becoming bipedal with a sword and shield and what seemed to be spines jutting from their shoulders. I only turned and began creating an stairway for us. As the stairs formed we walked up them, in order to allow me to continue making higher stairs for us of course. It was a circular stairway, like most of the stairways in my dimension. They were white with large amounts of the glowing blue stone that I used to great effect. There was also some gold in there as well, usually outlining the glowing blue stone, in order to create a border between the blue and white. There was black for the roof, and what looked like stars twinkling in that black. The center was also black, and once again there were white speckles in it. Soon we made it to the top. I placed Ruby down as I stepped out of the stairwell, and there were at least twenty people looking at us.
"Who is he?"
"Who are the four behind him?"
"Are they transfers?"
"No way, look at that evil looking one, he's way too tall!"
"Why is Ruby with them?"
There were many more comments, but these were the most common, or the most spoken aloud. Ruby looked a little embarrassed by all the attention, so I decided to step in.
"Hello there huntsmen and huntresses in training, my name is Unity, these are my four main followers, the Crimson Kings." I paused to allow my Kings to bow, "we would like to speak to the headmaster of this academy. We mean you all no harm, in fact we bring just the opposite."
"Yeah? And what's that freak?" A burly, bully looking, person asked.
"The gift of Unity, a form of salvation, Cardin Winchester, bully and racist. You shall not know salvation." One of my Kings, the First Crimson King, snapped at the boy.
I turned my head in his direction and tsked.
"You can't even be a properly bad person, if your going to bully someone, at least give them some lasting scars... Know that no matter what you do, it is worthless, scum." I growled, summoning a large, viscous looking club.
This club also seemed to have flames coming off of it, and held multiple axe blades. I walked towards Cardin menacingly, every step full of killing intent. I felt my old self returning, the Dread Overlord. I smiled, even though no one could see my smile. This felt right, what I had been doing previously.... hadn't been me. I had been lying to myself that I was a good person. When I reached Cardin, I felt something I hadn't in a long time.

Suddenly, however, I felt an annoying weight, hugging me from behind. I growled and stopped, the thing was speaking.
"Don't! This isn't what you wanted!" The lower life form said.
I turned to it, throwing it off of me, I seemed to be weaker for some reason. It's inconsequential, all that matters is that I can kill this waste of air before me. Suddenly I couldn't move. I tried turning to look at my surroundings, but I couldn't. I snarled and tried to thrash free of whatever held me in place, but accomplished nothing.
"WHO DARES TO HOLD THE DREAD OVERLORD PRISONER?!?!?!?!" I roared aloud.
All of the future servants before me flinched in response to my wonderfully powerful voice. For a split second I could feel the force on me lesson, so I tried jerking free, it worked for a bit, then the slaves began attacking me, and even my generals turned upon me, this would not stand. I summoned my minions to me.
[It didn't work....]
I tried again.
[But no one came...]
I tried again, this time out of desperation. I could only take so much damage before I was banished after all.
[Still.... You are alone...]
I roared in frustration, trying desperately to get away from the attackers.
[You could not move...]
I felt the last of this shells life drain away, and once more I was thrust to that place. Where I lied to myself.
[Nobody came...]
I summoned a new body.
[It didn't work...]
My rage shook the entire complex.
[You feel tired...]
I tried to fight the feeling, but in the end I succumbed.
[You fell asleep....]

"What just happened?" I asked.
"Our master rejected what he had become, and so his body itself broke down." One of the Kings said.
[He said that as if it had happened before.]
"Told you he was a freak!" Cardin yelled.
I turned and slapped him so hard he fell to the ground.
[You are being tested by a Crimson King!]
"Says the man-child who nearly pissed himself when a man who was literally breaking down from the inside out tried to attack him!" I yelled at the school bully.
Cardin actually turned red from what I did to him. He tried to grab me, but I'm too fast for him, so I moved out of his reach easily. From that point on I didn't lift a finger against Cardin, until one of the Crimson Kings knocked Cardin out.
"Thank you." I smiled at the King.
[You have passed the test...]
I finally realized there was a screen floating in front of me. My eyes narrowed as I looked at the screen, all of these notifications. A... mission?
[Join the Crimson Cult]
[{The Crimson Cult worships the True Outer God: The Overlord of Unity. This cult is full of pacifists and good people, if a little odd. These screens are typical representations of a Crimson Cultists' power. Called the 'Gamer' power by many, as it is much like the stat windows in an RPG game. These windows show ones 'stats' which include, but are not limited to, strength, speed, endurance, luck, intelligence, wisdom, skills, abilities, and more. It also gives a direct representation of the amount of favor you have with the Overlord of Unity, and your fellow cultists.}]
[(Status: Complete)]
[Congratulations, you have completed the initiation trial!]
I looked at the four Kings a little weirdly, but they only shrugged. I shook my head as if clearing it, and began walking into Beacon, only to realize the Crimson Kings weren't following me.
"Are you guys coming?" I asked them.
"We will wait here for our master, you go talk to your friends, little red." One of the Kings said.
I quickly ran off to find my friends, only to get a rather strange notification.
[You feel... alone...]
***
I woke up, feeling annoyed, for some reason. I realized I wasn't in a body, how strange. There shouldn't have been anything that could kill me in that world, at least not banish me. I created a new body and entered it, immediately teleporting back to the location of my kings. I looked them all over, then looked for Ruby. I seemed to have a connection to her for some reason. I then realized I was standing on something. I looked down and realized I was standing on Cardin's unconscious body. I quickly stepped off and lit the bottoms of my boots on fire. I thought about something, decided to check it out.
[New Crimson Cult rank made!]
[[Your Cult now has a new ranking with the addition of Ruby Rose, this position is known as the Crimson Bride. Ruby Rose is the first of the Crimson Brides and you are likely to have many more. Crimson Brides can not be born into the Crimson Cult, they must be outside females from worlds differing from your home dimension, and original world.}]
This was an interesting development to say the least.
