05 | THE CUCKOLDING AFFAIR
Yoongi awoke the warmest he had ever felt, as though he had been wrapped in the thickest blankets, a mug of hot chocolate in hand while a cuddle buddy clung to his back during the coldest winter night.
It took a few minutes before he eventually slipped out from his slumberous daze, mind still a little woozy. And soon enough, he realized that the weight around his midriff and the heat radiating against him belonged to Hoseok.
He felt the congealed aftermath of ejaculation on his tummy when he cuddled closer to the warmth, into Hoseok's chest. Due to his constant movements, Hoseok stirred and slowly fluttered his eyes open.
"Hello," he groaned, voice octaves lower and groggy with sleep. If Yoongi were not fully satiated from the night prior and incredibly tired, he would have been up for another round.
"Morning."
"Try again." Hoseok laughed softly, and Yoongi deemed it his favorite sound.
Yoongi hummed, head tilted to the side with one eyebrow raised.
"It's almost two," Hoseok explained, trailing his fingers along Yoongi's spine.
"Oh~" Yoongi leaned forward and placed a chaste peck upon Hoseok's cheek, but the moment only lasted a mere second. His entire body tensed when he realized that this was only a temporary reality. It was two in the morning, and therefore he had to return home to his fiance—whom he cheated on—and discuss the elephant in the room. "I need to go."
He shot up and slid out of Hoseok's warmth, trying his best to ignore the foreign feeling, the hole that bored into his heart at the look of betrayal.
"You said you wanted me..." Hoseok reminded quietly, face contorting into something sorrowful—something Yoongi hoped to never witness again.
"I do! I want you so bad," Yoongi surged forward and cupped Hoseok's sharp jaw. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment and Hoseok leaned into the gentle touch. "But it's two and Jinnie's going to wonder where I am. I think I need to tell him...it wouldn't be fair of me otherwise. You know how he is. That's all he's ever been."
Hoseok nodded slowly and tilted his head slightly so that he could place the most lamb-like kiss to Yoongi's soft palm, which in return had his heart fluttering in his chest, butterflies in his tummy.
"But you still want me, right?"
"Of course." Yoongi gave a gummy-smile.
Their faces gradually came within proximity, so close their noses brushed together. Eyes fluttering shut, hearts calling out to one another, they connected their lips briefly. Everything in that very moment felt right, before they pulled back.
"I can't believe I've got to tell my fiance that I cheated on him and call off our engagement—as if he won't cancel it himself after hearing about my infidelity," Yoongi laughed crudely. He bent down and grabbed his briefs up from the floor and pulled them over his thighs.
"I know," Hoseok said gingerly. He sat up, the sheets pooled around his waist, eyes trained on the older male across him. Hoseok was the epitome of perfection, Yoongi thought—maybe a little too perfect. And it took a butt-load of self-resilience not to sit on his dick again.
"I'd offer to join you, but I doubt Seokjin-shi would want to see who you cheated on him with." Hoseok sighed. "Fuck! This isn't what I wanted to happen."
"I didn't either. You're just—you're everything I want."
And with that, Yoongi headed home. He entered his house quietly. Which in hindsight, he probably should have made a grand entrance to lower suspicion, but instead he rept in as sly as a fox.
His clothes were still rumphled from when they had been discarded so carelessly on Hoseok's apartment floor for hours, his white shirt draped over his narrow shoulders and exposed his (unmarked) collarbones and his pants hung off his hips suggestively. Not to mention his hair, which stood up in places.
He looked a mess.
Yoongi trekked through the foyer, footsteps as light as a feather. He had made it through the living room, but when he rounded the corner of the kitchen he gasped and clutched his chest at the sight of Seokjin, whose arms were woven across his chest.
"Yoongi-ah," Seokjin said, overly calm. "Where were you?"
"I was with Jimin-ah," Yoongi replied.
"I tried calling you and him, but neither of you picked up. I wish you wouldn't have disappeared like that."
"I'm sorry," Yoongi said and lowered his gaze to his feet. He heard a sigh and footsteps round the island counter, Seokjin wrapped his arms around Yoongi's small waist and smiled at him sweetly.
"It's okay. I was just a little worried, because I had no idea what you were doing. Did you have fun, at least?"
Fun? Yeah, a lot at Hoseok's place.
"I—yeah." Yoongi grinned half-heartedly.
"Okay, what's the matter, baby?"
"I-I think we need to talk."
Seokjin tensed, he pulled away from the embrace and gestured towards the living room after a moment or two.
"Okay," he hummed and exited the kitchen, crossing over into the living room. Yoongi followed suit. They took a seat on the couch.
"What's going on?"
Yoongi inhaled deeply, his heart rate increased at each burning second and felt his blood run cold. He was about to break the love of his life's heart, and he hated every second of it.
"I...I can't marry you," he mustered the courage to whisper. "I'm so sorry." And for a moment, he felt weightless, finally having said what pondered his mind. When he looked up to Seokjin's face, he instantly regretted everything and felt weighted again.
"W-What?" Seokjin spluttered, dumbfounded.
"I—I can't marry you..." Yoongi thumbed at the luminous engagement ring that coiled around his elegant finger—passed down to Seokjin from his mother—absentmindedly, before he slipped it off. "I'm so sorry."
"W-Why?" Seokjin asked, his voice came out hoarse and cracked. His glossy eyes were riveted on Yoongi who pressed his ring into his palm, closing his fist around.
"I don't want to hurt you, but I think—no I know I want to be with someone else." Yoongi sighed sadly. "It wouldn't be fair to you to keep this up. You deserve someone who loves you wholly. I wish I could—you've been the sweetest and most understanding human being."
Seokjin sat motionless, Yoongi's ring clasped tightly in his palm. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, twiddling the ring between his fingers, before he finally met Yoongi's gaze again.
"It's Hoseok-shi, isn't it?"
Yoongi tensed, "W-What?" How did he know?
"Yoongi-ah..." Seokjin smiled sadly. "We've been together a long time. I know you." He cupped Yoongi's jaw and forced him to meet his gaze. "It's okay if it is."
Yoongi found his bottom lip caught between his teeth, he nodded slowly as tears gradually brewd at his waterline. "I-I'm so s-sorry—"
Seokjin shushed him and ran his thumb along Yoongi's cheeks, wiping away the tears that fell.
"It's okay, Yoongs. I don't blame you. You can't control what you feel or who you feel for," he murmured and pressed their foreheads together. "I really do love you. But if Hoseok-shi makes you happy, then I want you to be happy with him."
Yoongi could not help the sob that wrecked through him, he threw his arms around Seokjin as waterworks cascaded his delicate face. "Y-You're so good to m-me—always. I never deserved you." He muffled into Seokjin's firm chest, words surprisingly coherent.
Seokjin stroked his hair gently and whispered sweet things into his ear while his hand rubbed up and down his back. However, his comforting actions only made the Yoongi cry harder, because Seokjin was supposed to be the heartbroken one but instead Yoongi was the one in need of solace.
Eventually. Yoongi's sobs subsided to an occasional sniffle. He reluctantly unravelled himself from Seokjin's arms, sniffling quietly while he rubbed at his sore eyes.
"I want to be your friend," Seokjin whispered. "But I need some time first."
"Y-Yeah," Yoongi nodded. "Of course, you can have anything you need. I'll stay with Jimin—I just need to pack some things."
He thought it was only right to let Seokjin stay in their previously shared apartment since he was the one who broke up with him. They could worry about the documents later. From now on, this was Seokjin's home.
"Okay," Seokjin hummed. With a sorrowful gaze, he watched as Yoongi stood up and made his egress towards the door. "Yoongs?" He called out just before he exited, Yoongi turned to look at him. "I really love you, but I think I always knew that I could never be completely what you needed."

How was it?
That was the saddest and most mature break up I've ever written :'( I feel so bad for Seokjinnie, but he handled it maturely :/
