Robyn's POV

We strolled hand in hand and swung our hands after sunset. I stopped the pace when I saw Abigail's mum was sitting at the bench having her beer.

In the meantime, Abigail stopped too because I stopped walking and she just realize her mum was there. I tried to free our hands but she remained to lock them.

I just let her hold my hand and walked towards her mum's side.

"Hi, Mrs. Gonzalez," I tried to greet Abigail's mum with a wide smile as she only made a nod and hummed.

"Where's dad, mum?" Abigail asked as her mum said, "He's with uncle Jonathan them. I'm boring. I rather sit here take my beer."

Her mum put the bottle of the beer down to the table and I froze when I heard her say, "Why don't you join your dad? Robyn can stay here with me for a while."

Holy shit...

"Mum, Robyn will go with me. She'll be boring." she muttered, "Since you didn't even talk to her."

"She didn't even talk to the others too. You barely spent time with your cousin. Go to have fun with them. Robyn will be fine at here."

No no no... No drama, please.

Abigail's face was shocked me and now she looks exactly like her mum. She could look so fucking intimidated. Gulped.

Note to me, don't mess with my cutie.

I quickly tried to say something before the mother and daughter fight as I quickly said, "Hey, it's fine. I can be spending time with Mrs. Gonzalez here." I chuckled, "Here is windy and I'll chill at here in a while before going back to the room."

I gently squeezed Abigail's hand and said, "Your mum is right, you need to have fun with your cousins."

Abigail stared at me with an unconvincing face as I slightly tilted my head to reassure her. She sighed, "Okay, you can just go back whenever you want later."

I nodded my head and her, "Sure, have fun." Bye cutie, I'm gonna miss you.

We eventually freed our linked hand, as Abigail said softly, "I'll be quick."

"No," I said softly, and before she wanted to argue, I added, "Go to have fun with them," she still stared at me and stubbornly stayed as I said softly with a smile, "Go, I'm okay here. I'll be good with your mum."

Abigail's face finally soften as she sighed softly, "Okay, anything just let me know."

I nodded my head at her, "Will do, have fun." I sat on the bench next to her mum and waved at her, "Bye."

Abigail gave me a small smile as she waved at me and walked past her mum and said, "Be nice, mum." with that, she left and without forgetting glanced at me a few times.

To be honest, I was getting scared when the view of my pretty redhead was disappeared. Somehow, I shouldn't worry much. She won't bite.

I saw a bottle of beer in front of me as I was shocked by Abigail's mum's facial expression. If you thought I was amnesia you're right maybe?

Because right in front of me, Abigail's mum was a different person. Her face was welcoming and the same as my cutie's vibe.

"Take it. Abby told me you drink." Abigail's mum said with a smile.

I took it and returned a smile, "Thanks, Mrs. Gonzalez."

"Call me Anna." she raised the beer for me to toast.

"Cheers, Anna." I toast with her as we took a sip. We sighed after we drank the beer.

"I'm sorry about just now, sweetie," Anna said as she gently patted my shoulder.

"Umm. You didn't do anything to me, Anna." I said truly. She was just quiet and didn't bully me.

"That was a prank to Abby." Anna chuckled and said, "That was a payback for her never tell us that you and she are a couple."

Oh, that was what Abigail get from her mum. Payback.

"That's not her fault, Anna. That was my idea. I'm sorry." I said and felt bad for Abigail.

"It's fine. I also tested her water." she hummed, "Abby is so into you. She never stopped talking about you since the first day she worked in the new place."

"Robyn here... Robyn there... And we were thinking she had already been with you since Christmas because she informed us that she will spend time with you."

Anna smiled as she took a sip of beer and said, "We are happy for her. Because she was joyful since the day she started talking about you."

"She had dated a few times, most of the time she gets hurt." she turned to me and smiled, "After she met you, I can see she has found her happiness. You must be given her so much joy and fun. So, we thanks you."

I smiled and said, "I should be the one thanks to you for accepting us. Also, I'm grateful you gifted Abigail to me"

We toasted as we took a sip of the beer as she started laughing, "I didn't expect this silly girl would fall into this prank. She's being a protective girl."

"She would worry because I'm her first girlfriend,"

"Love is about heart, not about gender," she said.

She continued, "She was never happy in her past relationships. Love is like fate and when it's time. It eventually will be connected and last forever. We, as her parents always want her to be happy. That's the matter."

After we finished two bottles of beer, she smiled as she took her phone to text a message and said, "Let's take you back to your room. Abby must be missing you." With that, we walked back to my room.

Anna was a funny lady. She had a sense of humor too. But, Abigail was different from her mum and her dad. She would be a little serious than them.

We were laughing with our jokes and finally reached the doorstep of my room. Before I opened the door, it swung open. Abigail looks concerned and confused at the same time because of our body language.

Anna was wrapping an arm around my shoulder and we seemed tipsy and had fun.

"Here, take your belongings, sweetie," Anna said as she gently pushed me toward Abigail and my cutie quickly pulled me toward her.

At this moment I felt like I was a plush toy returned to the owner from her mum.

Now is my cutie's turn to wrap her arm around my shoulder. She asked confusedly, "So, what happened?"

"I told you. Robyn will be fine with me." Anna chuckled, "It was a prank."

"Mum," Abigail groaned as her mum giggled, "Payback."

"Mum, you scared me just now. I'm so worried about Ro." Abigail said as she pressed me closer to her.

"Oh, now is Ro." Anna teased.

"Mum," Abigail mumbled in slightly shy.

"I gotta go. Goodnight sweeties." she gently kissed Abigail's temple and I was shocked when she kissed my forehead.

She waved at us and said, "Have fun. Used protection."

"Mum!" Abigail exclaimed as Anna giggled and said, "I already did my job. The rest is all on you."

"You're embarrassing me, mum," Abigail exclaimed as she quickly shut the door.

She sighed as she faced palm, "My mum is ridiculous."

"It's fine. She's funny like your dad."

"They are ridiculous."

"I'm curious why you're different from them."

"Because I'm not ridiculous like them. But, I love them." Abigail chuckled.

"They're lovely, Ab. Also, I'm grateful to meet them. I gotta love them too. Because I'll never get a chance to meet someone so perfect for me without them."

Abigail leaned in and pressed her lips on mine as she said, "I gotta love your parents too. Because I'll never get a chance to meet my baby without them too."

"Be ready of their nosy then. They can be so annoying."

Abigail chuckled and said, "At least better than my parents. Let's go to sleep, baby."

"Okay," I said as we were ready to walk to our bed.

I was relieved her parents accepted us. I could have a good sleep for tonight.
