"Who is it?" She's very calm.

"It's Amethyst," Her voice is pure fear.

"What happened?" I could tell when she first called Ruby.

"She fell off the road." Ruby grabbed her coat, slipping one arm in.

"I've gotta g-" I grabbed the other.

"Don't go." She looked at me like I was crazy

"Sapphire, I have to-" The snow.

"Don't go." I repeated. The ice.

"Amethyst will live." The wait.

"How do you know that?" She looks deep into my good eye.

"I just do." The ride.

"Sapphire, I'll be fine!" The arrival.

"I know you like to think that way." The uncertainty.

"I love you." The news.

"Please don't go." The shock.

"I have to. I love you." The denial.

"I love you too." The tears.

"Goodbye, Sapphire." The agony.

"Goodbye, Ruby." The pain.

"I loved you." The grave.
