Failed to see that it was really blood.

Angels had fled,

With splatters of slashed open wrists.

I knew of the maleficent lies that spewed from their lips,
And I wept for I knew,
That everything was in vain.

Splinters of hope crashed at our souls,
As we walked towards forests of hope,
Where we hung and we swung till we no longer felt,

Her nightmares took over her dreams.

She could feel the pain in her chest,
When her world had shattered apart,
For she'd never imagined the end would look,

No one stood to help her out,

She felt the devil take over her mind,
She knew she was going to drown.

They eyed her strangely and laughed within,
Calling her insane,
And ceased to know that she slit her wrist,
