***Takemichi's Pov***

" So what happened?" I asked a certain twin, getting patched up from his injuries. It doesn't help that he's grinning like a madman right now. For some reason, he was going to buy milk but came back all bruised up.

" After I bought the milk, the gang whom I trolled ambushed me on the way. Of course, I beat everyone up without endangering the milk. After teaching them a lesson, I came across this one guy.... whom you're familiar with, Sapphire." I let out a 'huh, as he just laughed.

" For me, he's just a random lad but when he mentioned his name, I got Vietnam war flashbacks. I'll tell you the address cause I want you to have a personal talk with that, dude. Besides, he's one of the few people you've been looking for." He gave a wink on the end but surrendered quickly once I brought out my slippers. God, This Irish prick. Lucky for him, I am curious about who was this person he was talking about.

" Ugh! Fine, send me the address." I said making him cheer, only to hiss in pain cause he accidentally hit his bruised arm. He then gave me the address on where I should encounter him which was at another secluded alleyway, the perfect hangout for gangs near the said store Macey bought milk from.

" According to him, he met 'him' here..." I was about to enter the alleyway but stopped at the encounter in front.

There was a group of a gang beating the crap out of someone, and true to Macey's words, I'm familiar with. There's no denying that boy with light blonde hair, cyan eyes with long blonde eyelashes and a pair of diamond scars on each end of his mouth. One of the few people she needed to meet.

' Oh, hell no!' Immediately running for his aid then kicked one of them and sent him flying on a garbage bin. Four of the gang members were in shock, as well as the victim, soon locked eyes on me angrily.

" You bitch!" One of them roared in anger, running towards me, his fist clenched. As he got closer, I swiftly dodged his attack then gave another kick that sent him flying out of the alleyway, at least fifteen meters.

" Who's next?" I asked while cracking their knuckles mixed with a glare. One of them stumbled then ran out of the way, alongside his companions, all scared and almost pissed their pants. Sighing to myself, as it was already over. I then approached the injured boy, who was still in pain.

" Hey, it's over now. You're safe..." I took out my hand for him to reach but got rejected. He glared at me like I did something wrong.

" I didn't need any help." He spat out then stood up but failed as his legs were bruised making him tumble down. I sighed as this was expected of Sanzu.

None of her timelines showed her and the boy showing any special interactions as he resented her, despite her efforts on trying. They did have a conversation but with Mucho and the usual getting beat up part. She resented at first him but pitied him now, especially after the story Senju told. She'll have to keep an eye out of him.

" Ok. But can you at least let me take care of those injuries of yours?" The girl requested, only to get rejected yet again.

" I said, Leave me alone." And who is anyone to stop her? No one.

" Seeing your injuries? No, I'm not "leaving" you alone." Without a warning, she carried him in her arms like some delicate princess. The boy blushed and squirmed, trying to get away but to no avail.

" P- put me down!" He squirmed again to no avail. " Also how are you carrying me? I'm like five inches taller than you?!" The girl only giggled making his face go red, quickly covering them from embarrassment. Takemichi laughed, even more, recalling the moments of the people whom she carried in the past such as Draken and Inui.

" It's a secret~" She teased, winking at the end. The boy kept still, continuing to hide his face as if he had already given up. Then again, he'll admit... it isn't that bad plus her presence made him feel safe, like every negativity in his life completely vanished.

Soon, Takemichi was brought to a secluded alleyway where she first encountered the Mizo group and Naoto, where they were treating Akkun's wounds. Takemichi went to the same pharmacist for the necessities, even if she had to endure his creepy act. The boy was waiting patiently for her, as he had no choice on leaving due to his injuries. He also didn't want to burden the girl from getting close to him or something. Though, there was one thing he's always been anxious about... is that she noticed his scars nor didn't even react. Normally, those were the first thing people would notice whenever he's in public. Then there's those brats who would bully him, not only that, he would be blamed for all of it. From their words, he's nothing but a freak, a loner, a bad apple, dysfunctional and so much more. He ignored them all and was used to it, as long as no one would insult his King even if he had to kill them.

Then there's this girl... who not only helped him but didn't acknowledge his scars. Shouldn't she be like those brats and assholes? Plus, why would she do that in the first place? They aren't friends nor relatives, just strangers.

The girl came back with the supplies then started putting some ointment on the cotton ball before wiping it on his bruised face. He hissed in pain but controlled them instantly.

" So, what's your name? I'm Akemi Hanagaki. Also, what's with those guys ganging up on you?" She started after finishing wiping his bruises then brought out bandages to cover them up.

" Ha-Haruchiyo... Aka—Sanzu..." The boy named Haruchiyo Sanzu answered, watching the girl bandage his face. She's doing a professional job at it like she's experienced.

" You're pretty great this..." He blurted out then immediately went to silence.

" Well, I do get into fights too. You've seen my fight!" Akemi cheerfully exclaimed. Sanzu was confused and worried, imagining this girl getting into fights isn't something she should do. Even if he has to admit that she's a decent fighter.

" It was impressive but I don't think you should get into fights..." He blurted out with a faint blush on his skin.

" Why not?"

" C- cause... you're a girl...?" Ignoring that question mark. She took little offence to his words.

" So I should turn into a man so I could fight?" Sanzu's eyes widened, immediately regretting his words.

" N- no... I didn't mean it like that. It was just new to me..." He awkwardly scratched his head. " And done..." The girl cut him off. He looked around himself, to find all of his bruises patched up. Akemi cheered to herself then started cleaning the wasted necessities. After that, she persuaded Sanzu to treat him for lunch. No matter how many times the boy declined, she never gave in.

They stopped at a Ramen shop that felt nostalgic. She remembered the Ramen shop the Kawata twins set up from the future, it was heartwarming. After having a little lunch date, they both walked around the city while having a normal conversation. Akemi noticed how shy and dorky Sanzu is, which made her giggle non-stop.

While walking, Akemi stopped at the shop then told Sanzu to wait for a while as she entered. Sanzu was going to ask but seeing the girl gone, he surrendered and wait. The people who walked past saw him either with disgust or trying to ignore his existence. None of those matter but in truth, hurt him... he can't even make friends, all-cause of his scars.

A few minutes later, she came back with a sticker pact in hand. Confusion bottled on his expression but the girl didn't say anything. She only smiled then took out two blue diamond stickers, then placed them on each edge of her mouth?

" There! Now, we're the same! Isn't that cool?!" Her gleeful expression is blinding but he has no regrets turning blind if he'll have to witness this.

" Eh?" Realization hit him and he questioned them.

" What do you mean?"

" Well, I noticed that the public was being mean to you and how uncomfortable you look with your scars. Then I saw a sticker pact with diamonds on it, so I bought them! Now, you don't have to be ashamed. Has anyone told you that your scars are beautiful?" Sanzu was surprised at the girl's observations when he was careful not to show them. And hearing her reasoning about the sticker pact felt warm.

" N- No...." He answered, not even his family. Though, at least they didn't treat him like garbage or such.

" That's offending. You have beautiful scars, Sanzu-kun. So, don't ever cover them and if you like, I'll say it a hundred times more!" She approached him then grabbed his cheeks. Both of them made eye contact and before he knew... he felt something soft pressing on his scars. Sanzu got flustered, realizing that Akemi had kissed both of his scars.

" W- Why would you do that?" The girl lowered his head, giving a kiss on his forehead.

"As I said, They're beautiful. Promise me that you'll never cover them up? That would make me happy." She smiled even brighter than before and an unwanted feeling swirled in him. He purposely nodded his head then gave a  little smile. Akemi saw this and was glad to witness a good side of him and not some psychopath druggie.

" Ohh~ Yay! You smiled! You smiled! You smiled! Let's take a pic!" Excitement rushed through her veins while jumping up and down, before taking out her phone and placing an arm around the boy's shoulder. Sanzu had to bend his knees to meet the girl's height as she happily took some pictures before putting them away on her phone. Akemi continued to giggle, happily showing their photo. Sanzu was speechless as all of this was new to him but then again, there's nothing wrong with that. He looked at the bright sky as they seemed to become brighter and never dull, locking eyes with the girl who gave him a little bit of positivity in his life that he'll cherish forever.

" By the way, Sanzu-kun..." The girl asked and he answered with a 'hmm'.

" Do you know how to play chess?"

" ... Eh?"

***Macey's Pov***

" So tell me, brother..." My sister started talking as I'm eating my chicken fillet roll, my favourite. I mumbled out a 'yeah' cause my mouth is stuffed.

" Which one of the gentlemen, she's meeting today?" She asked. I thought for a little while before locking eyes with her.

" It's the dude whose mouth got ripped that went... Ripped~!" I answered then pulled out a Jason move for demonstration.

" The so-called 'Loyal Mutt' of the Gremlin?" Nodding my head in her question, she gave an 'ah' as her response before going back to her laptop.

" What are you doing by the way?"

" Something, just eat your chicken fillet roll." She shoved the snack in my mouth, completely shutting me up. I grumbled but the flavour distracted me, so I continued eating.

' How's Sapphire and her date though?'

***3rd person Pov***

" And checkmate again, I win," Akemi announced as she knocked over the Black King using a White Knight. Sanzu was speechless and disappointed for losing again for the twelve-time.

" Haru-chan..." She called him, their eyes met again.

" Why didn't you move the King and Queen?" Asked the girl while rearranging the chess pieces.

" The King and Queen needed to be protected at costs, especially the King..." He explained, moving black pawn as it's his turn. She knew how much of the loyal guard dog Sanzu was. They may not have had the best interactions before but she knew better who he was.

Takemichi found out the close relationship between him and Mucho, only to be proven a hoax. She remembered on the news about Mucho's body then pleaded with Naoto to do a throughout the investigation. With no evidence, she decided to do a double-time travel. Spotting the fifth commanders, she stealthily followed them and witnessed a horrifying sight.

( What Takemichi did was double-time travel, meaning she had to go back in time to do the same thing before going back into the future to watch where Mucho got killed)

" You Traitor!" Yelled a man with pink hair.

Seeing Mucho betrayed expression as he went limbed with a large slash on his abdomen, from Sanzu's katana. Frozen in fear, she quietly backed away if she wasn't such a clumsy dumbass. Takemichi quickly ran away due to the adrenaline rush coursing through her body as the man noticed her then face chase, holding his katana. She safely made it out alive but the image of Mucho's dead body gave a week of no sleep.

Going back to the present, Akemi persuaded Sanzu to play chess with her. They were supposed to play Shoji, like the times he and Mucho played together but she doesn't know the rules. Plus, chess is much easier for her to understand the opponent's strategy. So far, Sanzu would mostly move the knights before sacrificing the pawns and never move the King and Queen. If they're cornered, he'll sacrifice his other available pieces like the rook or bishop. Not a good strategy, as every chess piece has a role that needs to be played out.

" Haru-chan..." She called out. He didn't look at her as he was focused on the game, mainly watching over the King.

" Every chess piece has its roles to be played, right?" He gave out a hum in response.

" See this..." Takemichi pointed at the pawns then later explained their use for combats and specialties. Sanzu listened intently as he was moved by her words, advice and demonstrations. After some time, they restarted the game. This time, he finally started using the Queen and King which made him victorious.

" I won? It's checkmate, right?" He asked, wanting confirmation. Akemi smiled then giggled and nodded her head.

" I... did. Yes! I won!" He cheered, showing his childishness which he should. After cheering so much, he didn't notice himself giving the girl an embrace with a big smile — not the psychopathic one. The girl didn't mind as she hugged back.

" Thank you, Akemi." It was nice for the boy to experience victory for once. Truth is, Akemi purposely lost just to change his strategy. Seeing him smile was worth every sacrificed chess piece and hints to help him, achieve that. It was easy since Sanzu isn't that much of an idiot. Their moment was interrupted by a call coming from the girl's cellphone. Excusing herself as she picked it up while walking away.

The boy waited for her arrival and a few minutes she came back.

" Sorry, Haru-chan but I have an errand to do. My brother's calling me..."

" What's your brother's name?"

" Takemichi Hanagaki. Oh before I forget... Here." She gave an item on his hands. He gave a curious look, inspecting the given item.

" Well, I thought it would be accurate to give something for you cause I'll be leaving..." She didn't miss the dejected look on the boy's face making her feel guilty.

" Will I never see you again?" Takemichi got to get a heart attack from how adorable he is now.

' ACK!'

" Don't worry, I'll come back. If we ever see each other again, will you be my knight in shining armour?" Sanzu looked at the white knight she gave. A smile emerged from his face once he saw the girl showing a white queen keychain in hand.

" Yes. If I'll be your knight in shining armour, will you be my Queen?"

" Yes." That's all she said. More gleeful expressions came out, as he finally found a worthy Queen — his Queen if he says so himself.

Takemichi knew how much Sanzu was into Royalty roleplays or such. Especially when he calls Mikey his King, honestly was a little bit cringe but cute — if it was a roleplay.

They bid farewell to each other, waving their hands till they couldn't see each other. Sanzu walked home smiling, happily holding the keychain in hand. He ignored the public's disgusted look on his scars cause they were irrelevant to him. Yes, he'll wait for ber and Yes, he'll keep his promise.

' Even if it takes a century to wait for you, My Queen.'

As soon as Takemichi got him, she was greeted with Macey's teasing tone.

" How was the date~?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows.

" You were right, it was someone whom I'm familiar with. Thanks, Macey." Answered the now tired girl, who took her shoes off before going to her room. If only she noticed something off about Macey's smirk and her surroundings— mainly herself. With a click of the door, the twins gave each other looks.

" When will she realized those diamond stickers are still on her mouth?" Asked the younger twin.

" Bet one-thousand yen, tomorrow when she wakes up." Bet the eldest twin, bringing out a thousand yen then placing them on the table.

" When she wakes up for dinner." Bet the youngest twin, bringing out the same amount of money on the table.

Honestly, how did Takemichi not realize the sticker is still pasted on her mouth? She one day screamed in the bathroom, noticing the sticker still on her, even more, embarrassed when Macey teased her about it.

" Why didn't you tell me?!"

" Cause you look so tired and didn't want to disrupt you~?" Takemichi growled at his playful shenanigans.

" Maxe! Why didn't you tell me?!" She just pointed at her brother, meaning that it was the same reason. But then again, it wasn't that bad and admitted that she liked it.

" Can I have a sticker?"

" No."
