You can skip this is you are not a writer. If you're a reader, this doesn't concern you. BUT WRITERS LISTEN UP. Readers, you can read and preach if you want. WRITERS, YOU BETTER PREACH.

Okay. Here is a controversial topic (I think).I've had multiple people asking me to read their book either on my message board or on the comment section of my stories. First of all, that is disrespectful. It will make me NOT want to read your stories. If you vote on like three of my chapters within a minute, I am going to know you didn't read my stories. If you leave a comment saying "You're writing is awesome," on my first drafts, I'm going to laugh. Please refrain from advertising YOUR books on MY profile and books.

If you vote on like one chapter, then comment something that could apply to literally every Wattpad book (like: "I love your MC"/"I love your writing"/I really like your writing style/I love your vocabulary/I like how your character can breathe oxygen), then you ask me to read your book, ummmmm. Lemme break it to you. I am not going to like it and I am going to cringe at your profile. I will probably boycott you.

If you are a genuine reader that votes and comments properly in a way that I know you read my books, I WILL check out your profile to see who's reading my stories. Genuine reads are much better than an empty comment. I will be inclined to follow you and maybe check out some of your works. However, I am busy with writing my FIVE novels and reading books for the awards I am hosting as well as the reviews I am doing. At most, I'll add your books to a public reading list, give you a follow, and give you a shoutout on my profile.

DO NOT ADVERTISE YOUR BOOKS ON MY STUFF. THAT JUST TELLS MY FOLLOWERS AND OTHER PEOPLE THAT READ MY BOOKS THAT YOU'RE DISRESPECTFUL TO ME.

It is not proper to do that. There are advertising books out on Wattpad. How about you give a go at ACTUALLY learning how to become a presence on Wattpad and get a bunch of GENUINE reads rather than someone just voting on all of them.
