#TCS59: Generations of the Heartless Empire

Akakios Laurentius' POV

Silhouette, Lolo, and Isolde were currently preparing for the said event that would mark the date where we would show ourselves to the current Improbus Ille Imperium—or Silhoue's childhood friends and cousins. I already did my part, and I needed to go to my part time. Pagkauwi ko na lang saka ulit ako tutulong.

"Ingat, baby." Silhoue hugged me, and kissed my cheeks. I smiled at her, and gave her a peck on the lips.

I waved her goodbye, and went out of the building. Nando'n naman sina Lolo at Isolde kaya siguradong hindi makikita o hindi sila mapapansin ng kahit sino. They were experts when it comes to hiding, unlike me.

No matter how much I toned down my aura, I'd still be noticed. However, I could also hide with great effort. Naglakad na lang ako papunta sa café at tahimik na pinagmasdan ang paligid. The hardest part of hiding would be hiding from Silhoue's siblings.

They know about me, and they know my relationship with Silhoue. Pati na rin si Luna. Kaya naman sobrang ingat ko pagdating sa kanila. I chose a place to work at—where we wouldn't cross paths, and our classes were complete opposites, so they wouldn't even smell my scent, or see a shadow of me.

Sobrang ingat namin sa lugar na 'to, kaya naman hindi pwedeng mauwi ang lahat sa wala. Just a few more days, and it would be all good.

Nang makarating ako sa café, kaagad akong nagbihis ng uniform at nagsimulang magtrabaho. They café wasn't that busy compared to other places, but we still get plenty of customers. It was exactly a place that was good to hide if you were running from someone.

Mostly, the ones who goes here were studious people. Kaya hindi ka magiging laman ng tsimis o kahit ano. Kaya nga kahit may katalagan na ako sa trabahong 'to, hindi pa rin naman ako nahuhuli.

"Good noon, Ma'am," I greeted politely. I saw the girl blushed and fixed her glasses a little. She gave me her order, and I punched it in. Umupo na rin s'ya at ako ulit ang nag-take ng order ng kasunod, samantalang ang may-ari ang naghanda ng mga order na nakukuha ko.

It was peaceful like before. And I was able to practice some social skills.

However, after finishing table I was cleaning, I was suddenly greeted by someone. "Hi!" she smiled at me widely. I almost stepped back, and blinked several times to see who was in front of me. I gulped nervously.

"Alas, hey, you remember, right?" she asked with a creased forehead.

"Si Biblee lang 'to, sira!" 'Tapos tumawa pa s'ya. Napalunok naman ako. I nodded at her, then finally, smiled.

"What are you doing here?" tanong ko, tapos pumunta sa counter, para ayusin ang ilang gamit do'n. She followed me inside the counter? Eh? My eyes flew wide open, I almost asked her that it wasn't allowed for her to go there.

Pero lumapit 'yung owner sa aming dalawa. "Alas, this is Snow. She's the new employee starting today. You have the same shift. I'll be out for a few months, that's why." Napaiwas ako ng tingin sa nangyari.

I nodded at the owner. I had no choice. "Hindi gano'n ka-busy ngayon. Turuan mo muna si Snow ng mga ginagawa rito." I smiled at him and nodded politely.

"Sige po." At wala na akong nagawa kung hindi samahan si Biblee. Tuwang-tuwa naman 'to at kitang-kita na 'yung rabbit teeth n'ya. I couldn't help but chuckle. Napalingon din ako sa buong lugar. Nakahinga nang maluwag kasi wala naman 'yung ibang kababata ni Silhoue. Mabuti na lang si Biblee lang.

I walked with her to the staff room. It was not that huge, but not that small. "This is the staff room. Tapos nandito 'yung uniform." Ipinakita ko sa kanya 'yung cabinet. Also, I pointed out another door that leads to a private washroom.

"Hindi ka man lang ba curious, ba't ako nag-apply?"

"Huh?" Bigla ko na lang nasabi sa gulat. I badly wanted to ask, too, but it was a workplace situation right now. That could be discussed later.

"Hoy, hindi ako dumada-moves sa 'yo ah."

I chuckled because she suddenly looked shy at me. I nodded at her, and told her about the break time and other things she should know. Pero iba talaga yata 'yung natakbo sa utak n'ya imbis na trabaho.

"Balak ko kasing pagselosin si Akira babes, tapos ikaw lang ang nakikita kong prospect para magselos s'ya!" Humalakhak pa 'to. I stepped back immediately because of surprise. Pero wala man lang pakialam si Biblee ro'n.

"Mataas confidence no'n eh, hindi basta-basta nagseselos. Kaso for sure kapag ikaw ang kaharap! Wahahaha! Nai-imagine ko na kaagad ang selos face n'ya! Oh my gee!" She even clapped her hands, and I stared at her—so terrified.

Her way of thinking was just... how do I say this? Would make you embarrassed and speechless?

"Pero joke lang! Mukhang takot na takot eh!" she guffawed, and hit me lightly on the arm. I blinked at her several times. Seriously?

"Nasaktuhan kasi na nakita kong hiring sila. Kaya sabi ko try ko. Dahil maganda ako, natanggap agad-agad! Power talaga, sis!"

I pressed my lips together because of the way she spoke. She was really easy going and funny.

"Won't they look for you?" I asked, I was getting nervous, that all of them might suddenly burst out in here. I was afraid that the triplets would show up with Luna and Gabby. That wasn't going to be good. They'd ask me about Silhoue. I didn't know if I could manage to lie to them. It would break my heart.

"Ay naku!" She put up her hands dismissively. "Pinapaalis na nga ako ro'n kasi ang ingay ko raw!" Natatawang kwento nito.

"Don't worry, I'll work hard din! Baka akalain mo tamad ako eh." I shook my head. I didn't think of that. Then I gave her the uniform and apron so she could change. She wanted to speak more about things, but maybe realized that she needed to work.

She looked disappointed but did her duty. Umalis naman ako sa staff room, at saka tumulong saglit sa counter. May ilang costumer kasi ang nakapila. Siguro labasan na kaya medyo marami sila ngayon.

The owner was fast in taking the orders, and I prepared for it. Nang nando'n sa huling customer, lumabas si Biblee at lumapit sa akin. I took the opportunity to teach her on how to prepare the orders. Nasaktuhan din na wala nang pila, kaya tinuruan ko rin s'ya sa cashier.

She was easy to teach because she was a fast learner. She was also serious. I thought she'd create some trouble or might talk nonstop, but she did show me that she was taking this job seriously. Napangiti ako nang lihim do'n. I couldn't wait to tell Silhoue about it. She'd be surprise on how her cousin actually knew how to take things seriously—or not.

"Sa tingin mo, bonus points ba kay crush kapag marunong sa work?" I cackled at her and nodded my head. "Hindi lang talaga dapat puro ganda!" she exclaimed. "Galing ko talaga!" Proud na proud na kumento n'ya sa sarili.

When a customer came, she lit up, and she attended them with what she learned earlier. I was watching her. And she was really sociable. Halos maging kakwentuhan n'ya na 'yung mga bumibili. She was doing a great job.

Nang mas maging kumportable s'ya ro'n, naglinis na lang ako ng table sa mga umaalis na customer. Mas naging maayos din ang trabaho kasi magaling din naman si Biblee.

Habang nag-aayos ako ng isang table. Bigla na lang akong nagulat nang may kumuhit sa akin.

"Hello!" they greeted enthusiastically. Minsan nakakatakot na rin talaga 'yung biglang nangunguhit sa akin. They'd one day give me a heart attack.

"Huy! Ba't kayo nandito?" halos bulong na sigaw ni Biblee sa kanila.

"Hello, good afternoon," bati ko sa kanila. Nandito sina Honoka, Harper at Art ngayon. I sighed in relief when I saw that they were the only ones.

"Support ka namin, Biblee. Akala mo makakatakas ka 'no?" Natatawang sabi ni Honoka. Biblee pouted at them, but still took their orders. Dahil medyo marami 'yun, pumuta rin ako sa counter para tumulong.

The three went to sit down on the table where they—or where we sat the last time. "Join us after your shift, huh?" Biblee excitedly nodded. "You too!" turo sa akin ni Harper. I wanted to decline, but Biblee was the one who answered.

"Oo, hindi pwedeng hindi!" Natatawang sabi nito.

Dinala ko 'yung order no'ng tatlo matapos no'n. We still have half an hour before the shift ends. I just busied myself, helping Biblee for the orders. Tahimik ko lang ginagawa 'yun at wala namang ibang nangyayari.

"Good afternoon, Sir—" Natigil ako nang makita si Akira at Pierce sa harapan ko. I gulped nervously.

"Ba't kayo nandito?!" Nanlalaki ang mga mata ni Biblee nang makita si Akira at Pierce.

Akira smirked at her, and showed her a phone. Her eyes widened a fraction. I looked at them confusingly.

"Hoy, magpapaliwanag ako, hindi tayo pwedeng magbreak—este bawal tayo mag-away, hindi pa nga tayo eh!" Pierce was pressing his lips to prevent a chortle.

"Hindi ako nagtataksil sa 'yo! We'll talk!" she stated in a really fast manner. Lalo na no'ng napatingin sa kanya 'yung owner.

Akira just flicked a brow at her. I started doing their orders, when they joined the three girls, who were laughing in a victorious manner. I saw how Akira glared at them, while the three started teasing him based on their expressions.

"Ano'ng meron?" Nalilitong tanong ko.

"Ay puso ko!" Halos mapatalon si Biblee no'ng tabihan ko s'ya para tanungin.

"Huh?"

"Those three took a picture of me and you! Oh, mi gosh! Selos si Akira ko, kaya siguro pumunta rito! Tagumpay talaga mga plano ko, walang makakapigil!"

Halos mag-daydream na s'ya sa sinasabi n'ya, at napailing na lang ako. I went to prepare for their orders.

Tapos dinala ko rin sa table nila. I put down Pierce's. "Salamat." Nakangiting sabi nito. I bowed a little and smiled at him.

Inilagay ko rin 'yung kay Akira. He was just looking at me. "Kuya? Selos ka?" Honoka teased, Akira rolled his eyes.

"No. Why would I?" Supladong sambit nito.

Umalis na rin ako ro'n at nagkakatawanan sila. Pierce and Akira were facing in our view. I felt awkward, because it actually felt like they were instead, watching me rather than Biblee. I was preparing a coffee for one customer when Biblee went beside me.

"Alam mo, magseselos na talaga ako sa 'yo," she murmured in a disappointed tone.

"Mas tinitingnan ka ni Akira at Pierce eh!"

I chuckled at her. That was ridiculous. Maybe they thought I wasn't good enough to be friends with them... my throat suddenly became itchy at the idea of it.

"Good afternoon." Hindi na ako nakasagot kay Biblee nang may dalawang customer na lumapit sa counter para um-order. She attended them carefully. However, the girls looked like they didn't want Biblee to take their orders.

They suddenly started making Biblee confused because of their changing minds. She handled it calmly, I prepared for their order. Hindi sila umalis sa harap namin. Kinuha ni Biblee ang katatapos lang na shake na ginawa ko.

Nang iabot n'ya 'yun sa customer, she suddenly intended to pour a little of it on Biblee's clothes.

I saw in my peripheral vision on how Akira and Pierce stood up from their seats. Tutulungan ko sana si Biblee, kaso bigla s'yang umirap do'n sa mga babae, at tinitigan si Pierce at Akira na para bang banta na h'wag mangingialam.

She even gestured her two fingers pointing in her eyes, and also at Pierce and Akira's like she was watching them intently.

Although it wasn't for me, I felt like it was. I didn't bother in intervening with the situation and let Biblee handled it. She was polite, and but she didn't hide her irritation. She took the orders and placed it on the counter.

"Ang kamay ginagamit, hindi display," she stated with a smirk.

Walang nagawa 'yung dalawang babae kung hindi mag-walk out paalis do'n. She pouted. I told her she could go to the washroom, and change now. Since the shift is almost over, too. Inasikaso ko na lang 'yung kapapasok lang na customer, at saka nilinis 'yung table.

The owner, and the other employee took over. Pumasok ako sa staff room, at nando'n si Biblee bihis na. Mukhang naghihintay rin sa akin. I smiled at her apologetically, and proceeded in changing in the other room.

I thought she'd be gone, but she was waiting for me. Kaagad n'ya akong hinigit papunta sa barkada n'ya. Mukhang nahalata n'yang balak ko silang takasan. She dragged me to their table, and the three girls welcomed me.

"This is Alas!" Masayang sabi ni Art at ipinakilala ako kay Akira at Pierce.

"Sound familiar." My heart beat felt like it almost exploded because of Pierce's eyes on me.

"Tatakbo kasi 'yan sa eleksyon kaya baka nakilala n'yo na rin somewhere!" Biblee laughed, and sat down beside Akira.

I sat across her, katabi si Art at Harper. Meron na rin kaagad na oreo shake sa harap ko at kay Biblee.

"Baliw!" Honoka laughed.

"So spill tea, sis!" Pangloloko ni Harper kay Biblee at itinuro ako at si Biblee. I closed my eyes. Baka magselos 'yung selosa kong baby. Geez. Bakit ba ako naiipit sa ganito?

"Duh! T-E-A, sis!"

I looked at Biblee while blinking with her answer, at humagalpak na ng tawa sina Honoka, Art, Harper, at Pierce. I saw Akira hid a smirk, and a stifle laugh. I was smiling while shaking my head at them.

"So, bakit ka nandito at nagtratrabaho pa? Move on ka kaagad kay Kuya?" Honoka laughed at her words, and Art and Harper high fived her. Natawa naman si Pierce at umiling sa kanila. Akira just scoffed at his sister.

"Huy! Sinisiraan mo ako sa Kuya mo ha! Ano ka ba, kailangan natin mag-work these days, para mag-work din 'yung relationship kay crush! Char!" Tuwang-tuwang imik ni Biblee, kaya nagkatawanan naman sila.

"You wanted us to work, but you are working with someone else? Tss." Akira suddenly threw in a sharp glare at me. I gulped, I felt like I committed another sin, I didn't even commit. Bakit lagi akong damay sa kanila?

"Wooo!" Pumapalakpak sina Honoka, Harper, at Art.

"Hala s'ya!" Biblee reacted surprised, but she was clearly enjoying it. "Ano ka ba, nakakahiya kay Alas, oh." I prevented myself to laugh because she even tucked her hair in her ear, and smiled shyly, while sipping her milkshake.

"Not bagay!" Tawa ni Harper kay Biblee.

Akira shook his head. "You are really a child; you like to play." Halos mapanganga kaming lahat dahil sa tensyon na dinala n'ya. I looked at Biblee with concern but instead of feeling the tension, I saw her hid a smirk.

"Wala kayang child na maghahanap ng part time para paselososin ang isang tao, at kasing ganda ko pa!" she insisted and faced Akira.

Para naman kaming nanunuod ng pelikula sa kanilang dalawa. Hindi makapaniwala sa naririnig, parang hindi nila pansin na nandito pa rin kami. Kasi parang sila na lang bigla dahil sa pagtatalo. I shook my head watching them, but remaining mum.

"Tss." Akira scrunched his nose. "Mature girls are better."

"I'm mature, not clingy, bright personality, pang-Miss Universe pa ang beauty and brains! Pak! Saan ka pa?!"

"Joke na 'yan!" Tawa ni Pierce kay Biblee. Nagkatawanan kaming lahat. Tapos biglang na-realize ni Biblee at Akira na nandito pa kami, kaya nagkatawanan. Ang kulit lang nila. Hindi talaga nagpapatalo.

"Nakakahiya kay Alas, ang kulit n'yo." Biglang sabi ni Pierce at tingnan ako. "Pasensya ka na, ah?" He even smiled apologetically. I chuckled.

"Okay lang," kamot-ulong sabi ko sa kanya.

"Where did you meet the girls?" tanong ni Akira sa akin.

"He helped us from before. Then when we played prank on Biblee, we saw him, and yeah, that was kind of how we met him." It was Art who explained, while chuckling.

"Ang kulit 'di ba? Pasensya na talaga. Lalo na kay Biblee," Pierce stated looking shy.

"Grabe parang kinakahiya n'yo ako kay Alas, eh mas close kami nyan kesa sa inyo!" reklamo ni Biblee sa amin, kaya nagkatawanan kami.

"H'wag kang feeling close," Akira retorted, and Biblee made a face at him. I chuckled at them.

Tapos tumayo si Biblee at lumapit sa akin tapos tumabi sa akin at idinikit ang braso n'ya sa braso ko. My eyes widened, and I alsmot run out of the café because if Silhoue was here... I was sure I'd be dead!

"Ayan oh, close kami! Haleeer!" Natatawang sabi ni Biblee. Tapos umalis din at bumalik sa upuan habang tawa sila nang tawa, at ako napapalunok na lang. Sana lang hindi kami nino-monitor ni Silhoue ngayon. I felt like I sinned just because of this.

"Literal!" Tawa nilang lahat kay Biblee.

"Che!"

"I actually feel like I also saw you somewhere." Biglang napaisip si Pierce habang nakatingin sa akin. It was always a small world when it comes with the pasaways. I actually had talk to them once. Or passed by them.

"Grabe! Small world, kahit napakalaki talaga ng Empire School!" Honoka exclaimed.

"Where did you meet him?" Harper asked Pierce curiously.

"Ah, did you go to teach the children in elementary once?" he asked. I nodded and smiled. They remembered. I just hoped they wouldn't really tell about me to Luna or Silhoue's siblings. I needed to be more careful.

"How? What did you do?" Art asked curiously.

"Hala! Elementary ka pa lang?!" Gulat na sigaw ni Biblee.

Nabatukan s'ya kaagad nina Akira, Harper, at Art. "Grabe! Akala ko matatanggal 'yung ulo ko sa inyo!" asar na sambit nito sa kanila, pero tinawanan lang s'ya.

"No. I just went there because a teacher was absent. I subbed in. I saw Pierce there because he was volunteering for the kids." Tumango si Pierce sa sinabi ko. He offered his hand for a handshake. I stared at it first, but accepted it.

"Nice to meet you!" He smiled, I nodded at him.

"You too, nice to meet you."

"Kabog! Mister Universe ang peg!" Biblee commented laughingly. "Pierce, may tatalo na sa pagiging santo mo, baka s'ya na 'yung pagawan namin ng rebulto. Keep up, bro!"

"You crazy shortcake!" Harper told Biblee laughingly.

"Ay grabe, kailangan may paglait? Hindi ba pwede you crazy beautiful goddess Biblee? Bakit kailangan may short? Porket biniyayaan ka ng height, niyayabangan mo ako? I'm hurt, Harper, I'm hurt!" Then she dramatically held her chest, and looking so hurt with sad face.

We laughed at her.

"Accept reality raw." Akira teased, kaya nasapok kaagad s'ya ni Biblee.

"Hoy, ikaw kaya nanliligaw sa akin, kaya dapat kakampihan mo ako!" reklamo ni Biblee.

"Hindi naman ako na-inform na nanliligaw pala ako sa 'yo." Mas lalo kaming nagkatawanan sa sagot ni Akira kay Biblee. Nagmaktol tuloy 'yung isa na parang bata. But Akira, in the end, couldn't help but chuckle.

"Baka nga kayo na rin sa utak nyan ni Biblee." Honoka kidded, and Pierce clapped while giggling. I shook my head, preventing a loud cackle.

"Not impossible!" Art seconded.

"Grabe manlaglag?" Biblee acted out.

And we ended up laughing again, and Akira, slightly blushing. Because admit it or not, Biblee really knew how to shake one's feelings. She was a breath of fresh air, and a sparkle of sunshine in the world where we face each day with danger and blood.

Naglalakad kaming lahat sa alley paalis sa café. Kasabay kong maglakad si Pierce, at Honoka na kinakausap ako. They were so light and cool to talk to. I felt like I was already part of their friendship, even though we only have a few encounters.

"Matagal ka na rito?" Honoka asked curiously. Nasa unahan namin sina Biblee, Art, Harper at Akira.

"Just when the school opened," I told them vaguely.

"Really? Same!" Masayang imik ni Honoka.

"You should come and we'll introduce you to the rest of the gang." Pierce invited with a smile on his lips. I shook my head at them.

"I still have something to do right now. Maybe next time." Tanggi ko sa kanila. Next time... I'd be with Silhoue.

We stopped walking when Biblee faced me. Pati sina Harper, Art, at Akira humarap. Biblee titled her head at me a little, and asked a question.

"Which way do you go?" I gulped. I didn't want to tell her we were going the same way. That I just actually live across Luna's house.

"Why?" tanong ko na lang.

"I wanted to go the opposite way! Hahaha!" Nagkatawanan silang lahat at umiling-iling si Akira. "Ayan ha! Para 'di ka na selos, kay Alas!" I shook my head at her, when she looked at Akira teasingly.

"Ako na lang ang pupunta sa opposite way mo," Akira retorted at Biblee. We laughed.

"I have a girlfriend, no need to be jealous about me." Nakangiti kong imik sa kanila. Napanganga naman ang mga babae, at mukhang hindi makapaniwala sina Akira at Pierce sa sinabi ko. I smiled faintly.

Yeah, my girlfriend's no other than the girl you had been searching for who knows how long.

"So, I'll go ahead?" paalam ko sa kanila, at tumango naman sila at nagpaalam na sa akin.

I went the other way. Kahit sa totoo, sa way rin naman nila ako pupunta. Hindi lang pwede dahil baka malaman pa nilang nasa tapat lang din naman ng bahay ni Luna ang tinitirahan ko. Baka sumugod pa sila ro'n. They'd see Silhoue. And it wasn't a good idea.

I detoured and walked around the school. Hanggang sa nakasalubong ko si Sloane—one of the Crowns—and looked like she was not with her friend, Lindsay. Her eyes widened when she recognized me. I smiled at her, and she went to me.

"Woah, I never thought I'd see you here!" Masayang bati nito. I scratched the back of my nape.

"How are you?" tanong ko. We knew each other from before because they were the Crowns. Lagi n'yang kasama si Lindsay, pero mukhang may inaasikasong iba si Lindsay. The Royals were also assigned some tasks for the ball.

"Just doing fine!" Nakangiting sabi ni Sloanne. "How is it going?" she asked.

"Fine," I answered. "How's the preparation for the upcoming Ball?" I added. And we walked together.

"Stressful. I wanted to cut the meetings, boring." Irap n'ya habang inaalala kung gaano pinaghahandaan ng Crowns ang ball. They were more careful this time because they needed to make sure everyone's going to be safe.

They needed to be more prepared than ever, because the Senses were a big threat to that event. Hindi pwedeng basta-basta lang ang lahat. Hindi lang nila alam na tumutulong at may ginagawa rin kami para sa bagay na 'yun.

"Ang sarap sakalin ni Kalix." Natawa ako sa sinabi n'ya. "Tapos may isa pang panggulo." Napahilot s'ya sa noo n'ya.

"Huh?" Nalilitong tanong ko.

"Oh! Are you busy?" I was taken aback when she was suddenly so hyper and energetic. It was like the worried, and irritated Sloane vanished. Why am I surrounded with unpredictable people again?

"Can you help me with something?" Then she suddenly gave me her puppy eyes. Like she never threw a table back then meeting with some crowns. She was really befitting of the title, the rebel of the crowns. We watch the crowns through the monitors sometimes.

"Huh?"

Akala n'ya yata pumayag ako, kasi bigla na lang n'ya akong hinila papunta sa kung saan. Sa sobrang bilis at lakas ng pagkakahatak n'ya sa akin, hindi ko man lang napansin na nakasakay na kami sa kotseng biglang tumigil sa harap namin.

I needed to go home to Silhoue... why am I being dragged like this?

"Are you in some kind of danger?" I asked her when the car started travelling.

She nodded at me. "Kaya please help?" I sighed. She was actually the kindest Crown, although she had been so unpredictable. And she did us a favour before in watching out for the Improbus Ille Imperium during the auction aside from Caerus.

"Okay." I nodded at her, and she looked like a child who won a game.

She didn't tell me anything, and we were just talking casually. Like her as a Crown, and I as Alas. Ilang saglit lang din bumababa kami sa harap ng isang eleganteng restaurant. I looked at her confusingly, but she suddenly clung her arms around me.

I felt like I stopped breathing for a minute. I suddenly felt like Silhoue's gaze were on us. I wanted to removed Sloane's arm, but she looked at me with a begging expression. "Mabilis lang, promise. Please? Help?"

Ano bang klaseng tulong ang kailangan n'ya? Pakiramdam ko mababaliw ako sa mga nangyayari. Bakit palagi na lang akong nadadamay sa mga ginagawa nila?

My soul almost left my body when Sloane and I entered the extravagant place.

Sloane and I went to a table, and someone was sitting there with his back on us. When Sloane and I approached, he looked at us with surprise. Napakunot-noo naman ako kasi hindi ko s'ya kilala. Baka isa sa mga high-tiers dito.

"Sloane! You came!" Masayang sabi no'ng lalaki kay Sloane, pero bigla ring napawi ang ngiti ng tumingin sa akin. "Ahm." He cleared his throat before speaking. "Who's this?" Sabay turo n'ya sa akin.

Sloane smiled, and instead of answering, she pushed me a little so we could sit across the guy. Umupo kaming dalawa habang mukhang nagtataka at hindi pa rin maintindihan no'ng lalaki 'yung nangyayari.

Honestly? Same.

I also don't get why I am dragged here, and why I am always dragged somewhere.

"So... who's this?" He looked so uncomfortable around me. Lalo na napatingin din sa amin 'yung mga ibang nakain. Lalong-lalo na sa akin. I felt like my world collapsed on me. How am I supposed to not to get noticed by people when I am literally with the Rebel Crown?

"Ah, this is Ace. S'ya 'yung pinalit ko sa 'yo. Our engagement's over. Okay?"

My jaw literally dropped when she stated that while looking so confident, and even crossing her arms, and flicking her brow. I felt like I should act that I fainted. Because suddenly every eye was on us!

Silhoue! Silhoue's gonna flip!

"HUH?!"

"WHAT THE?!"

Napatayo ako at napasigaw nang kaunti sa gulat. Mukha nagulat din si Sloane, at 'yung lalaki pero hindi sa akin, kung hindi do'n sa biglang lumapit sa table namin at nanlalaki ang mga mata sa narinig.

"Pinagtaksilan mo ako?!" he shouted unbelievably, I gulped secretly.

Parang gusto ko na tuloy umupo at maging invisible na lang para makaalis sa sitwasyon na 'to. Ilan ba lalaki ni Sloane, at may biglang lumapit sa amin?

"Sloane, what the hell?" He faced Sloane with a confused face. Sloane face palmed and almost deteriorated on her seat. I sat back down, shrinking from my seat.

"Oh, please, we never even had a thing. That was just your own conclusion. And back off, I already have someone, okay?" Irap ni Sloane ro'n sa lalaking sumigaw, at ibinaling ang tingin do'n sa lalaki sa harap namin.

"Now, you can tell your Dad that I'm not someone you think, okay?" sabi naman n'ya ro'n sa isa.

"What the hell?!" Halos sabay na sabi no'ng dalawang lalaki. Napaatras naman ako sa pagkakaupo kasi parang kulang na lang suntukin na nila ako.

I looked around and almost asked for anyone to help me. What am I doing here, again?

"Let's go, Ace." Biglang hinawakan ni Sloane ang kamay ko, para sana tumayo at umalis na kami sa eksenang ginawa n'ya, kaso bigla na lang may humawak sa pulsuhan ni Sloane, at nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa kasunod na nangyari.

He grabbed Sloane to stand up, and he hugged her waist while looking at the two guys. He smirked, and the two was suddenly so confused again to what was happening. Ako rin yata dapat pumunta ako kung nasaan 'yung dalawa, kasi pakiramdam ko dapat do'n ako sa side nilang—clueless.

"I think you grabbed the wrong man, Sloane," the guy who held Sloane stated, while eyeing at me.

Para bang dapat s'ya 'yung ipinakilala at hindi dapat ako. HUH?

Halos mapanganga 'yung dalawang lalaki sa harap nila. At nanunuod naman ako sa kanilang parang tuta na palipat-lipat ng tingin.

"Tapos ano sasabihin mo sa dalawang 'yan? Na gwapo ka?" Irap ni Sloane sa lalaking hawak s'ya ngayon. "Hello? Akala ko ba magkaaway tayo?"

"Oo, magkaaway nga tayo, mortal enemies pa nga eh!" Pinanlisikan pa ng mga mata ni Cleon si Sloane. Umirap lang si Sloane. At tinanggal ang pagkakahawak sa kanya ni Cleon. The guys were suddenly looking at me and Cleon.

"Sino talaga sa inyo?" bulong no'ng isa sabay turo sa akin at kay Cleon.

I absentmindedly pointed out Cleon. They guy nodded. Kung siguro wala ako sa sitwasyon na 'to, kanina pa ako tumatawa.

"Syempre gwapo naman talaga ako. Sana ako dinala mo, libre pa!" Halakhak ni Cleon. "Tapos taob kaagad 'yang dalawang 'yan kapag nagsalita ako!" pagmamalaki pa nito.

"Oh sige, ano'ng sasabihin mo, aber?" hamon ni Sloane at naka-cross arms na sa harap ni Cleon.

Cleon cleared his throat and stood up straight. "Ganito sasabihin ko, panuorin mo ha?" Nag-abang naman si Sloane, pati na rin ako sa sabihin ni Cleon. Nanatili namang nakatitig ng masinsinan 'yung mga lalaki sa harap nila.

"Mga dude, alam n'yo bang humihilik matulog si Sloane, tapos nang sasapatos din s'ya at nananbunot kapag galit, tapos susugod sa maling tao kasi medyo kulang sa turnilyo, tapos—"

"ARAY!" sigaw ni Cleon no'ng bigla na lang s'yang sabunutan ni Sloane.

"Siniraan mo pa akong letse ka! Umalis ka na nga! Panira ng diskarte 'to eh!" reklamo ni Sloane kay Cleon.

"Grabe s'ya, mabait lang akong bata, nagsasabi ng totoo! Ayan oh, you even demonstrated kung paano ka manabunot!" Inayos ni Cleon ang buhok n'ya at ngumuso-nguso pa kay Sloane. Sloane face palmed again.

"You are unbelievable!"

"You are unbelievable!" gaya ni Cleon kay Sloane. He even put his one hand on his waist. Napatingin ako ro'n sa dalawang lalaki, at pakiramdam ko nagpipigil na rin sila ng tawa sa mga nangyayari sa harap nila ngayon.

"Umalis ka na nga, pangbuyo ka talaga!" inis na sigaw ni Sloane.

"Hoy! Tinulungan ka nga!" Tapos nagtalo sila ni Sloane. Sobrang ingay tuloy sa lugar gawa nilang dalawa. Hindi ko na rin maintindihan 'yung sinasabi nila. Kaya naman tumayo na ako sa kinauupuan ko.

"I'm not really her fiancé or boyfriend. I'm sorry." I apologized to the two men. Natigilan si Sloane no'ng makita akong paalis na.

Kahit hindi pa tapos magsalita si Cleon, hinabol n'ya na ako at lumabas kaming dalawa sa lugar. I saw Cleon who chased us, and saw that he was with Thorn, and Theon. Napalunok ako at napaiwas ng tingin sa kanila.

"Hoy!" Cleon shouted.

"What?!" Sloane snapped.

"I'm going. Sorry." I bowed at Sloane.

"Sorry for dragging you in that mess. Bwisit kasi nitong Cleon Ares na 'to!" Sinamaan pa ni Sloane ng tingin si Cleon. Mag-aaway na naman sana sila, kung hindi lang pinigilan ni Theon si Cleon. Sloane once again apologized at me.

"Una na ako. Sorry," I told them and waved farewell. Mabuti hinayaan nila ako at narinig ko pa rin silang nagtatalo at nag-uusap-usap.

"Sino 'yun?" I even heard Cleon asked.

"Mas matinong tao, hindi kagaya mo." I could already picture Sloane's rolling eyes.

"Ano'ng sabi mo?!" Cleon protested.

"Na hindi ka tao?" Sloane laughed and the others laughed at Cleon too. Nakatawid na ako ng daan kaya naman nawala na 'yung mga boses nilang tatawa-tawa at nagtatalo.

I just shook my head, and thought of how I became acquainted with all those people. I was happy, of course, but sometimes, I'd feel like my head was flowing in the air because I seriously didn't know how I could be included in their mess. I never asked for it, but they just really love following me around.

I rode the bus going home, since this place was far from home. Nang makababa kaagad akong dumiretso ng lakad papunta sa entrance ng parang subdivision namin.

Habang ginagawa ko 'yun, napansin kong naglalakad si Biblee at Amythee sa sidewalk. Mukhang papunta rin sa bahay ni Luna. Nagtago ako para hindi nila mapansin na rito rin ang diretso ko. They might discover about me and our place.

I just walked behind them, carefully hiding. Hirap pa magtago kasi nalingon si Biblee sa likod habang nag-uusap sila ni Amythee.

When we were near their house, and I was near our place, napatapak ako sa mga tuyong dahon kaya naman gumawa 'yun ng tunog at biglang naging alarma sina Amythee sa akin.

I hid at one corner and post. I saw how Biblee looked back—ready to fight who was around with an exaggerated posture. Amythee was holding Biblee. They both looked scared. I felt a little guilty because of it. But, I had no choice.

"Who's there?!" Malakas na sigaw ni Biblee. Wala kasing ibang tao at gabi na rin. I hid myself more.

"If you are a person, then come out, now!" she shouted pretending to be tough. I shook my head laughingly, and Amythee tried to grab her sister so they could run to their house, but Biblee was determined.

"Kung tao ka, labas!" ulit n'ya sa pasigaw na paraan.

"Pero... kapag... multo..." I saw how her eyes widened, and how Amythee panicked.

I was so near into bursting out because of their funny situation. Sheez! But I prevented myself, and pressed my lips together.

"Kapag... multo... then... don't... come... out... AAAHH!" Tapos sabay silang tumakbong magkapatid nang sobrang bilis, na parang hindi nagtapang-tapangan.

I shook my head, when I saw them entered the house. I was still cackling while being careful, and I crossed the road to go at the back of our place. Do'n ako pumasok para mas siguradong walang nakahalata.

I heaved a heavy sigh, and I went to the living room. I saw Silhoue there watching the television. Mukhang nagluluto naman si Isolde.

"Hey," she greeted when she saw me. She stood up, and went to me to hug me. "Welcome home." Napangiti ako, para lahat ng pagod at naguguluhang pangyayari sa araw na 'to nawala na rin sa wakas.

"You look so tired," she mentioned and we walked to sit on the sofa.

"I was so confused with what happened today. I feel like my head's spinning." And I told her the stories that I experienced. From Biblee and Akira, to Sloane and Cleon, and to all the things that came in between.

Silhoue was laughing at me with my frustration.

"Aw, kawawa naman si Akakios nadadamay lagi." She even pinched my cheeks, and chuckled teasingly.

"You are not jealous?" tanong ko. Akala ko magseselos 'to eh.

"Grabe, gano'n ba ako kaselosa?" natatawang pagkwekwestiyon n'ya sa akin. I nodded repeatedly at her, and she giggled, and touched my face.

"Ikaw ba naman biyayaan ng ganyang mukha, ugali, charm at attractiveness. Pero kung alam ko namang akin ka. Bakit ako magseselos?" I chuckled, and enclosed her to a hug immediately. That made me feel so secured and happy.

I didn't want her to always feel jealous, and to always have an insecurity. That is not good, especially in relationship. I wanted us to have a strong foundation, and it would hurt me more, knowing that Silhoue might be hurting because of me.

"Thank you..." I murmured. And she chuckled.

Then we heard Isolde calling us for dinner. She stood up and broke the hug, but she offered me her hand, and I seized it gladly, as the two of us, walked to the dining room to eat with Isolde.

What a tiring day... but a day was already so complete with Silhoue, in my arms.

Miracle Silhouette's POV

I was secretly hiding from the window of my room with toned down aura that was close to my invisible self. I was watching the troublemakers go out from Luna's house. As usual, they were all carefree. Nagtatakbuhan, nagbabatukan, at malakas ang tawanan. I couldn't help but smile watching them.

I suddenly thought of their reactions when we reveal ourselves. Would they miss me? Would they give me hugs, too? Hindi ko mapigilan ngumiti. I wanted the days to go faster. The ball. It would be an epic ball.

Habang tinatanaw sila at nakikipagkulitan kay Luna, nakarinig ako ng katok mula sa pinto ko kaya naman umalis ako sa pinagtataguan, at ihinara ang kurtina sa bintana. I stood up to open my door, and I was greeted by a warm smile.

"It's weekend, what are you doing today?" he asked me while smiling. Lumabas ako sa kwarto at naglakad kaming dalawa ni Akakios pababa sa lugar. We sat on the living room together, and it was all cozy.

We had been preparing for safety measures, and all of the things that could counter the Senses for the past week. It was busy, Master Gideon was also here the whole week to do it hands-on. Further, Isolde had been meticulous about it.

"Where's Isolde and Master Gideon?" I asked, because I hadn't seen a shadow of them. But they were here at breakfast. We all ate together.

"They are inspecting the building that will be used for the ball. They are on disguise, don't worry." Napatango-tango ako sa sinabi nito. If ever the Senses grabbed the chance to attack or even give a little havoc that night they would face us.

Or maybe they would face the Improbus Ille Imperium. But I wonder which one. Siguradong pupunta rin ang mga Tita at Tito namin. I'm just not sure about Momo and Dada. They were somehow always unexpected. They'd come when you think they won't and they'd be missing when you thought they'd be just around the corner.

"Do you want to go out?" Akakios inquired. Napaisip naman ako ro'n.

"I wanted to make sure we are prepared," sagot ko naman. The ball would commence the next weekend. I didn't have time to go out. I wanted everything fixed.

"You?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I'll help you." Hindi ko mapigilang hindi mapangiti. Kaya naman kaagad kong hinawakan ang kamay n'ya. He smiled at me warmly and we both went to the technology room to do a check, a plan, and to monitor the Senses, and the pasaways.

That was how our week went. We continued monitoring the pasaways making sure that they were away from danger. I was also monitoring the whole event. And we were looking for all the things that could be used, and we were continuously planning things.

The invitations were also sent to all the students at the school. It was really happening, and we couldn't believe how fast. I was nervous because I was finally going to meet them again, and I wouldn't hide anymore.

I also sent the pasaways a good letter of surprise, and their dresses and suits that they would be wearing that night.

Kaya ngayon pinapanuod ko sila, kasama si Akakios. I was sure the package I've sent them just arrived, and they were checking it with Luna. Mukhang tuwang-tuwa sila nang makita ang mga gowns at suits na ako pa ang pumili.

"Wow! Level up 'to sa dating ball ah!" exclaimed Biblee who was looking at the dress that was red and black in mixture.

"Pinadala ng triplets?" asked Amythee while looking at her icy blue dress. She took it out and swirled with it. I smiled because it really suits her. Such a princess. A beauty that shined more with her smile and confidence.

"Hala! Bongga! Pinaghandaan! Bagay na bagay sa akin, pasaways, 'di ba?!" Luna showed her purple beaded dress at them. And they chuckled at her. Because she looked like a model exaggerating her movements.

"This is so cool!" Art exclaimed when she saw the dark blue dress that seemed like a starry galaxy for her. I couldn't help but smile because it really made a good match with her paper-white complexion.

"Look! This is so lovely!" Honoka clapped happily, and showed them her pink glittery long gown. She looked so excited to wear it.

"Such a great taste!" Harper commented with her fiery black sexy dress. "Did Law choose this?" Nanliit pa ang mga mata n'ya dahil do'n, at nagkatawanan sila.

"Assuming ka, Harper!" tukso ni Biblee sa kanya.

"Pinapadalhan kasi s'ya ni Law ng kung ano-ano galing ibang bansa!" Honoka laughed.

"'Tapos si Biblee, sama ng loob ang natatanggap kay Akira!" Amythee teased. And they all ended up laughing.

"Burn!" Luna added fuel to the fire.

"Hoy! Ako na naman nakita n'yo! Kapag talaga naging kami, who you kayo lahat sa akin! Nag-i-improve na 'yun, h'wag kayo nagseselos na!" Proud na proud na sabi nito. Natawa kami ni Akakios, kasi alam namin 'yun.

"Wait, girls, look may envelop!" Masayang sabi ni Art no'ng nakita n'ya 'yung envelop sa loob ng box ng mga gown.

Luna took out her envelop, too. "Me too! Hala baka kakornihan ni Kael ang nandito! Nakahiya! May pa-love letter!" They all chuckled, and picked up the envelop in their own boxes. I was excited when they all looked at it.

I looked at the other screen, the boys also noticed their envelops, matapos ang kalokohang tuksuhan sa mga susuotin nila. Puro si Cleon naman ang pinagkakaisahan nila ro'n.

"Hala ka Akira! Baka may love letter si Biblee sa 'yo!" Ganti ni Cleon kay Akira.

"At least meron, ikaw? Basted kay Sloane?" Akira retorted nonchalantly.

"Please pour water to the burnt area!" Theon teased his twin.

"Wow ha! Porke okay na kayo ni Amythee. Sabihin ko kaya 'yun ng mga kakornihan mo?" Cleon hit his twin lightly.

"You are all crazy." Iiling-iling na sabi ni Pierce.

"Just open the envelop. Then share what you got." Thorn told them while smiling.

Then they all started opening the enveloped. Almost all at the same time. And the smile plastered in my face didn't leave my lips at all. I glanced at Akakios and he was watching intensely with a smirk.

"Oh my gosh!!!" It was Biblee's voice that echoed. Halos lahat sila sabay-sabay lumabas sa mga kwarto, at nagkasalubong ang mga lalaki at babae. They were all looking at each other wide eye. Like they were confirming a hidden message.

"Did you see?!" Sabay na sabi ni Cleon at Biblee.

"Gano'n din sa inyo?!" they asked each other in unison.

"Oh my gosh!" Halos tumalon si Amythee kaya natawa ako.

"Seryoso 'to?! Hindi n'yo prank 'to?!" Luna hysterically asked the guys.

"We will never have a prank like that." Depensa ni Thorn.

"Si Gabby?!" I chuckled, because of their way of thinking. Basta ba prank kay Gabby agad? They must have been so traumatized with Gabby.

"I don't think so..." Pierce murmured, and showed the lower part of the envelop.

They all looked at it in unison. Then they all went silent. They were all frozen in place. Then Luna gasped. I saw how she hugged herself and shuddered at the thought process she had.

She'd recognize that... I was sure. That was my signature. My personal signature.

"This is Miracle's..." Halos mawalan na s'ya ng boses nang mapagtanto 'yun.

Pakiramdam ko nanlamig at kinilabutan silang lahat. I heard Akakios soft laugh at their reaction. And we smiled at each other. They were still processing what was happening when someone suddenly opened the door.

"Hoy mga junakis at mga batang pasaway, nasaan na kayo?!" It was Tita Alyx's voice that echoed. And she was followed by Tito Thon-Thon.

"Guys! We are here! You should greet your pinakagwapong Tito!" Natatawang sabi nito. At mabilis na nagtakbuhan ang mga pasaway pababa sa hagdan para pumunta sa living room kung nasaan ang mga kararating lang na Improbus Ille Imperium.

"Loves! How are you babies?" Bati ni Tita Annicka, at mabilis na niyakap ang prinsesang si Art.

"How are you?" Tito Skyler smiled at them.

"Mama!" Honoka jumped and hugged Tita Shana, and Tito Jacob chuckled at their baby girl. I couldn't help but smile. My heart suddenly complete and at peace.

"Wala man lang akong hug sa dalawang prinsesa ko?" Natatawang sabi ni Tito Tim-Tim habang nakaultaw ang dimples sa pisngi.

"Tatay!" Excited na bati ni Amythee at Biblee at halos tumalon para lang makayakap sa kanya. Natawa naman si Tita Lian sa kanila, at saka niyakap ang dalawang prinsesa n'ya.

"Hi, Mother! Hi, Father!" Harper greeted with confidence, and Tito Kurt tousled her hair a little. Harper pouted, but hugged her father, and kissed the cheeks of her mother.

"Grabe! Hello po mga Tita, mga Tito! Ang dami bigla dito!" Natatawang loko ni Luna. Nagkatawanan silang lahat dahil sa kanya. Akala nila 'yun lang. Pero bigla na lang may dumating ulit sa bahay.

"Hala! Reunion?!" Luna screamed in surprise.

"Tss! Miss mo lang ako eh!" Justice laughed and went immediately to Luna to hug her.

"Grabe, manang-mana 'yung da-moves ni Pareng Gab-Gab!" Tito Thon-Thon teased laughingly. Luna blushed, and Justice smirked proudly.

"Syempre, Tito. 'Yun yata pinaka namana naming lahat!" Proud na proud pa talaga ang loko-loko!

"Hello po!" Rebel smiled at them. "Hello Tita Shana, Tito Jacob."

"Woo! Talagang nagpapabango!" Loko talaga 'to si Luna!

Namula naman nang sobra si Honoka na nakayakap kay Tito Jacob. Rebel scratched the back of his head. He looked so shy. That was new!

"Ay Tito Jacob, Tito Shana, alam mo bang nilandi ni Rebel 'yang unica hija n'yo?" Biblee suddenly popped in.

"What the heck, Biblee?" Rebel looked like he was ready to fight. Honoka hid her face. I saw how freaking red Rebel's ears were. Samantalang tawang-tawa na ako at pumapalakpak dahil sa napapanuod!

"Honoka?" Tita Shana asked.

"Mama!" reklamo ng nahihiyang si Honoka.

Nagkatawanan silang lahat maliban sa niloloko nila. Mabuti mabait si Honoka at hindi pinatulan si Biblee. Kaso hindi mabait si Rebel, kaya gumanti.

"Ay Tita Lian. Alam n'yo bang may nililigawan na si Biblee?"

"Hoy!" Exaggerated na imik ni Biblee. Halos maghamon na ng suntok.

"Sino?!" Mukhang ready ng sugurin ni Tito Tim kung sino man 'yun. I saw how Akira gulped secretly, and just hugged Tita Shana from the back, hoping to escape the scene unfolding.

"Hey! We are here too, you know?" Biglang extra ni Law.

"Ow! Son-in-law!" Tita Tiara exclaimed, and hugged Law, she even kissed his cheeks as a greeting.

"Gaga ka talaga, Tiara! Ginawang son-in-law kaagad! Speed lang!" Tawang-tawang sabat ni Tita Alyx. Kaya lalo silang nagkatawanan.

Itinulak pa ni Tita Tiara si Harper kay Law! My gosh! Pumagitna naman si Tito Kurt sa dalawa, kaya ayon, nakatanggap s'ya ng masamang tingin kay Tita Tiara! Parang mababaliw ako katatawa sa kanila.

"Hi, guys! Gusto n'yo bumili?!" Biglang sabi ni Gabby, at napatingin sila lahat sa kanya.

"Bumili?" Tita Lian asked confusingly.

"Yes, Tita. Bibilhin na yata nila kamay ng mga anak n'yo." Lalong napuno ng tawanan ang lahat sa sinabi ni Gabby. The whole house was so filled with so much laughter.

"Tita Dyosa!" Gabby almost jumped to Tita Alyx. "I can do the mini mini minimo!" Nagtaka si Tita Alyx sa sinabi nito. "I can't decide which from Pierce and Thorn, I would buy eh!" Napanganga si Tita Alyx sa sinabi ni Gabby.

"What the heck, Gabby?!" sigaw ng triplets sa bunso.

"What?! You all have a love life! I want one too!" Nguso nito.

"Hindi pwede, bata ka pa!" Halos yumanig ang buong bahay sa triplets. They must have one mind that they exactly said the same thing. It was so funny.

"Aww!" reklamo nito. Kaya nagkatawanan sila.

"Hoy! I'm honoured Smith-Evans ang na-attract at nagwapuhan sa mga junakis ko!" Proud na proud na announce ni Tito Thon-Thon.

"Syempre! Duh? Genes ko pa lang 'no!" singit ni Tita Alyx.

"Baliw!" Tita Annicka reacted.

"Bakit po kayo nandito?" tanong ni Thorn sa mga magulang nila.

"Empire's Foundation tomorrow night," Tito Skyler answered simply.

"You'll attend too po?!" excited na tili ni Biblee.

"Yes." Nakangiting sabi ni Tita Lian.

"Speaking of that night..." Cleon slowly trailed with a serious face.

"Why?" Halos sabay-sabay na tanong ng mga magulang nila. The room was suddenly so quiet, because they all suddenly remembered the envelop earlier. Theon gave his envelop to Tito Skyler. And Luna gave hers to Justice.

Ibinigay rin ng iba ang mga envelop sa mga magulang nila. I saw how their eyes widened, and gleamed with pure surprise and terror.

"Miracle... this is Miracle's signature," Law declared with seriousness. Suddenly the air was filled with nothing but an intense feeling and different emotions. Even I felt the hair on the back of my neck stood up.

"Yeah, this is Ate's signature..." Justice and Rebel also confirmed.

Nagkatinginan ang mga kapatid ko nang sobrang seryoso. Tapos isang boses ang pumaibabaw para sa bihin ang mensaheng laman no'n.

"Be ready... for my comeback."

Gabby voiced out carefully, slowly, and with intense power.
