Chapter 13: The Fight
Hey everyone! So, based on the last chapter, we realize that Adria and Angela had their conversation. So, it seems Adria is trying to manipulate her, let's see if anything happens.
Enjoy!
Angela rolled over, meeting Johnathan's closed eyes. "Hey!" She whisper-yelled. "Wake up, Johnny." He rubbed his pupils, annoyed by the sudden call. "What is it," he muttered, his eyes still shut.
"Sorry about yesterday," she sighed sadly. "Hmm?" He sighed. "Since when do you apologize?" She slapped him lightly as he chuckled. "I talked with a friend about it-" "Who?" Johnathan demanded immediately.
"Adria Rossi," Angela replied, unsureness creeping into her tone. Johnathan calmed down once more. "How interesting." "Anyway," Angela darted back to the topic. "You know you can always talk with me, right?"
He nodded slightly, Angela sighing. "Good." She put simply, frustration leaking into her voice. He huffed, falling back to sleep as she played with a strand of his hair. After a minute, she forced herself out of bed, tossing her sheets onto her boyfriend.
After contemplating life while sitting on the edge of her bed, she then stood up for good. This hangover wasn't treating her nicely.
Tikki sprang into action as soon as Angela shut the bathroom door. "Good morning!" Tikki chimed happily. Angela smiled, her mouth filled with scrubbed-down toothpaste. She replied with a muffled "good morning," immediately rinsing out her mouth as her mind-timer hit zero.
While she threw on her usual attire as she slipped on her black flats. While she stretched a hair tie, she put her hair into a large bun on top of her head. Loose strands stuck out, Angela trying her best to tuck them behind her ears.
Adria's voice about "looking more attractive" rang slightly in her head, but she had to ignore it. She was about to be late for work, and she knew her mother and prince had needed her.

Hugo sighed, the sound of pen scratching his paper skidding to an end. After he finished, he leaned back into his chair, Plagg seizing the opportunity in front of him. "No Plagg." Hugo shot before Plagg could open his mouth. "Breakfast is soon, I'll get you camembert then."
Plagg huffed silently, landing softly on one of his stacked piles of paper. "What're you doing anyway?" Plagg mumbled, slightly annoyed from his owner's previous remarks.
"I just finished narrowing down the girls to 25," he breathed, "and I completed the letters necessary for the action." Plagg rolled his eyes. "Why can't you use the same one for each girl?"
Hugo stood up, pausing at the doorframe. "If I am going to send most of the girls away, might as well do it somewhat nicely."
Plagg shrugged at these remarks, Hugo opening the door with a sigh. His assistant scurried up to him, handing him his checklist for the day. "Good morning, your majesty," he started hurriedly. Hugo nodded in reply, sipping the dark roast he got handed to him.
"Okay," the assistant muttered, "there was a slight problem." "Do speak up," the prince intruded before he could say more. "Yes sir." He replied.
"I gave you the list of girls who had birthdays this month - so you could get rid of them." His assistant explained further. "Well, it seems that there was one missed, and we now need to set up party preparations."
"Please tell me you're joking," Hugo swore under his breath. "Sadly not, your majesty," the assistant huffed. Hugo rubbed his temples, taking a deep breath.
"Begin party preparations for tomorrow at 5 pm sharp, and alert the girls before breakfast is served at eight o'clock."
His assistant nodded, running off immediately before the prince began to grow angrier. Hugo straightened his cravat, eyeing his sister as she caught his peripheral vision.
"Good morning to you too," she exclaimed after noticing this. "Hmm," the prince rolled his eyes in response. Louis ran up to Hugo, catching him off guard. "Hugo," he groaned, "you'd promise you'd help me with counter-attack today."
Hugo sighed, "I completely forgot, my apologies." "I'll see you at 2 pm sharp today, do not be late or I will leave." His brother replied as Louis pumped his fist into the air. Hugo rolled his eyes playfully at this, enlightened by his brother's foolishness.

Angela got called quickly down to the kitchen. "What's wrong this time," she exclaimed, out of breath from running. "We just go noted of a huge meal request for a celebration tomorrow," the sous-chef rambled on. "You need to go get ingredients. Go."
"But-" Angela was shoved out of the room, the door slammed into her face. She couldn't get the ingredients by herself, so she was going to have to notify some of her supplier friends to go to the market and pick up new stock.
How did they get so low anyway? Angela side glanced at the new sous-chef; they probably had forgotten that yesterday was the day they were supposed to send them out.
Angela sighed; this wasn't her fight to pick. Angela trailed through the hallways, Tikki popping out from her pocket. "What's all the need for supplies?" She asked curiously.
Angela shrugged. "Probably a last-minute banquet or something," Angela concluded. She thought for a moment. "I don't know why there would be a need for one, though..."
Tikki flew around her head, whirling her hair around. "Either way, we better notify your friend before he goes off!" Tikki squealed. Angela nodded, "right."
She dashed down the hall, turning the corner as she made her way to the back of the palace. The fencing plate was still there, Angela rushing up to one of the guys. "Hey Jack," she breathed heavily, "I need you to pick up ingredients."
"Oh?" Jack piped up. "Why such a rush?" Angela shrugged as Jack chuckled. "Consider it done," he concludes, Angela smiling with relief. "Thanks," she watched him walk off as she glanced to the right.
"Okay," Hugo breathed, "you need to practice your form." Louis whined, "you said that last time!" Hugo rubbed his temples, "you can whip a fast comeback, but it's no good if it is not done properly."
Louis sighed deeply in frustration. Angela smiled cheekily at the boys, her eyes drifting to the older prince. Instead of his normal black suit, Hugo wore a snow-colour unitary, his face shield propped.
Angela noticed he looked pretty nice in the white attire. Hugo noticed her staring, Angela waving at him. Louis lifted his face shield, noticing the girl. "Angela!" Louis exclaimed before his brother.
Angela waved at Louis, him running over. Hugo walked over slowly, Angela hugging Louis tightly. He lifted his face shield, Angela seeing his warm smile. "What are you doing here?" Hugo asked.
"Oh, there was a sudden need for new supplies," she breathed, "is there a party or something?" Hugo sighed at her response. "Yes, there is a birthday celebration being planned for tomorrow."
Angela smiled "cool." Louis released the hug, Hugo offering her a walk back to her room. Louis snickered as Hugo glanced over his shoulder. Louis teased them, putting his hands into a heart shape, Hugo rolling his eyes and turning his head back to the front.
"Everything with Johnathan got all patched up," Angela sparked a conversation. "What happened?" Hugo asked. "Oh right," she muttered, "I told Adria, not you."
"Adria?" Hugo replied, then realizing. "The selected girl, yes?" Angela nodded, "she's nice, you should try going for her." "Hmm," Hugo crossed his arms, Angela giggling.
Angela rubbed her head, sighing softly to herself. "Hangover?" He quickly asked.
Angela groaned, "a bad one." "I told you not to drink," Hugo mumbled, "did you confiscate the alcohol from the apartment?"
Angela didn't reply. Hugo rubbed his temples, "Angela, you can't get better if you don't try." "I am trying!" She yelled back immediately. "Just, Johnathan wants to keep it in the apartment-"
"I knew it." He interrupted immediately. "He is living with you."
Angela was stopped by Hugo's hand motion, her then sighing. "It's only for a month until he-" "Angela, you lied to me. You said he wasn't staying with you." "Not at the time he wasn't," Angela lied, "and besides, why would you care."
"If he doesn't help you, I'm forbidding him from the palace."
Angela went pale, "you can't do that!"
"I will," Hugo muttered, "your safety is my priority."
"Hugo, this is so typical of you."
"Excuse me?" Hugo asked shockingly. "How is it 'so typical'?"
"Because we're friends, that why you're concerned." She sighed. "If you didn't know me, you wouldn't care!" "Angela, I'm watching out for you," Hugo shot back immediately, "you obviously do not care enough about yourself for you to do it."
"My statement still stands." She concluded strongly.
Hugo's eyes slit, "how am I not supposed to watch out for you?"
"Just treat me like other staff!"
"You're not like other staff, Angela."
"How?"
Hugo didn't reply.
"HOW!?" She shouted louder, Hugo still not replying.
Her eyes burned with tears, her looking down. "'you are not leaving until you tell me what happened.'" Angela mocked Hugo from the day he had kissed her.
"'Well, I guess I'm not leaving.'" Hugo mocked right back.
Angela laughed airily, "we're not doing this today."
"You helped me cheat on Johnathan, and I thought we could still be friends. But, you can't treat me like other staff. What am I supposed to think, Hugo? You kissed me. What does that mean?"
Hugo sighed, "it was the heat of the moment, Angela. I assure you, that is all it is."
"I also know that he doesn't deserve you." He added stiffly.
"You're doing it again! You're treating me differently," she spat coldly.
"I'm saying the truth." Hugo paused. "Sometimes the truth is hard to swallow."
Angela froze.
"One day you will realize he is not worth your time."
Angela looked directly into Hugo's eyes, the prince's eyes softening the more she stared. "Angela, I-"
"Save it," she mumbled, a pink hue running through her cheeks. "I'll walk the rest of the way."
Angela walked off, Hugo sighing deeply. "One day," he sighed, "one day that I hope will come."
Welp, now they are fighting! How great XD. But, Hugo could be onto something. But, let's see if he'll look into the matter more, or just leave it for Angela to handle.
But, stay tuned! Have a great day/night :)!
