"That dream again," Otto said as he woke up from his room. He sighed and smiled at a picture frame fondly containing a picture of two familiar young men. Reinhardt and Otto on their 20 are smiling comfortably with an angry and pouting Kallen at the side. 

It had been 500 years since then and he still could not believe it. Kallen was back

For Kallen, she sighed. She just woke up from her nightmares and her descendant still hasn't returned home after taking Reinhardt's descendant with her. She knew that those memories in her head were false but it hurt. Not because of his betrayal but because he broke his promise. 

Hugging her knees, Kallen let a tear fall from her eye as she looked at the Blood tear. The same necklace Reinhardt gave her after her father died and when he promised to be always there for her no matter what. But now, Reinhardt was not with her now. He left her by herself. 

"Rein... I miss you. You promised me." She said quietly as she hugged the necklace close to her chest. It was the only reminder she had left of her best friend, but now he was gone and she had pushed not only his but her descendant as well. 

Beside her, Kallen woke up and held her close. She knew how close and what he really was to Kallen. Rubbing her back, Sakura tried her best to calm her beloved down as Kallen remembered the events that happened before they met Sakura.

[Flashback]

Reinhardt, dressed in clothes similar to the abyss watchers without the pointy helmet on sighed as he kept watch over his and Kallen's camp. the Kaslana was asleep on his lap nuzzling him like a cat while making sure to use his cape as a blanket for her

they have been running away from Schicksal agents for weeks now and they have just found themselves on Shenzou in search for the immortal celestial. But it was all for naught as she has disappeared and was taken by the immortal warrior. 

"Rein..." Kallen called out. 

"Oh, sorry. Did I wake you up?" Kallen shook her head no and blushed before letting herself get comfortable. It was pretty cold tonight even with the campfire on. Luckily Reinhardt was so warm and comfortable, allowing her to sleep well.

"No, I'm just worried. The celestial is gone and we could not do anything else. The only thing left is to escape." She said sadly and Reinhardt knew what she was going to say next. 

"No.." He said as Kallen looked at him in surprise. "I promised you, right? I will always be here by your side no matter what." his answer made Kallen smile and remove the habit she wore and she hugged him gently, holding him tight. 

"Thank you, Reinhardt," She said with a smile as she let her hair fall freely. reinhardt's cheeks burnt red as he held her back.

"No, thank you, Kallen." He said only to have his eyes widen when Kallen leaned in and took his lips like she did before he left for the crusades.

But it all changed during the attack back then.

Reinhardt stood still with his gun on Sakura's forehead with the black box in hand. Her beloved Sakura had just been k̴i̶l̸l̸e̷d̸ by her best friend and the person she loved the most like she loved Sakura, her best friend, Reinhardt Crozzo. Sakura's katana was stabbed through his chest. 

Why... why were they fighting each other.

On a random building, one of Rex's many safe houses.

Rex can be seen chuckling nervously as he watched Kiana rant on and on while she helped him cook. She was making some pizza toasts while he just finished making curry.

"Hmph! Can you believe it!? The nerve of hers!" Kiana ranted. She was dressed in some of his extra clothes as she just dragged him out of the dorms and away from the school. She wore an oversized button-up shirt with one of his shorts. She wore one of his hoodies as she cooked her toasts. 

"But, she is right, you know.|" Rex cut in, missing the angry look from the tuna. "Reinhardt was involved in the betrayal 500 years ago." 

Scowling, Kiana did something that he was sure she would not do again. Waiting until he set the food down, she grabbed him and pinned him on the wall, making sure that they were eye-level. 

"Listen up! You are not him! You are Rex, and you are my friend!" Kiana said with a determined look on her face. "And I won't let anyone insult my friends." 

"Kiana..." Her determined look was replaced with a beautiful smile as she leaned in happily for a hug making him blush. 

Pulling away, Kiana smiled and leaned in for a kiss only to change direction to kiss his cheek. 

"But, only Mei-senpai is allowed for a kiss on the lips." She said with a sly smile and a barely noticeable blush on her cheeks as she went to eat first. 

Rex just held his chest to calm his beating heart. Being around a Kaslana was bad for his health. But, now he knows why his ancestors were always by a Kaslana. Shaking his blush off, he took his phone and sent a message to everyone that they were fine. 

After their meal and playing some games, Rex found himself in a bind. He was lying down on the couch with Kiana on top of him, hugging him like he was a bolster. 

"Well, some things never change." He said with a chuckle as he closed his eyes and wrapped an arm around her. 

--- On the far side of the earth

A one-armed albino seethed. 

"SOMEONE'S FLIRTING WITH MY BABY GIRL!!!!!" 

"Shut up, Siegfried!" Someone shouted from the room next to his. 

Rolling her eyes, a white-haired woman just hugged him gently.
