"Rex!" Kiana shouted as she barged into a hospital room. Inside the hospital room were her parents, Principal Theresa, Her cousin Kallen and her girlfriend, Reinhardt, Bianka, and Reve. Her eyes scanned the room and immediately looked at Rex's form. Blue eyes widened as she dropped her bag in shock.

"No way..." It was impossible, Rex was strong! There was no way someone can just beat him! 

Rex Crozzo, the youngest of the Crozzo trio was covered in bandages with his left hand missing and right shin covered in a cast. 

"W-what happened?!" Kiana shouted as she looked at her auntie Theresa. 

"Kiana-chan!" Mei called out before stopping with a pant, her eyes widening as she saw the state of her junior. 

"Mei-Oneesama, Kiana," Bronya said as she looked with wide eyes at the young man on the bed. 

"We... We don't know. The operation was going well and we received a steady amount of information from Rex. But when he did not send a report on time, we sent a squad inside and all they found was Rex heavily injured and the town of Silent Hill in flames or covered in ice." Theresa said as she clenched her hands. Who was it? How did her nephew get so injured like this? He might not be Reve or Reinhardt but he was strong enough to even keep those two on their toes. 

"What's more is that there were multiple reports and evidence of emperor-class Honkai Beasts in the area. Rex was able to destroy them according to some witnesses but that was all they remembered." Himeko said as she looked at the files.

"An emperor-class might be strong but Rex is able to take care of them easily as long as he had his gear which he took," Reve said, his one was cold as ice and Bianka looked at him in worry. 

"That's the thing. Maxwell's demon has been heavily damaged and needs to be repaired. " 

"It was a mental attacker Honkai beast." Rex groaned out in pain as he sat up, wincing as he looked at his missing arm. "It was able to summon my worst fears and kept on calling them." 

"Rex, you need to rest," Reinhardt said as he immediately tried to get his little brother/cousin to lie down on the bed.

"I'm fine... I can go back on the field as soon as I'm out of here." He said as he tried to push himself more but all of them can see he was forcing himself. "That bastard... I'll hunt them down..." Rex gritted out while biting back his angry growls. This humiliation, his arm was gone and he can't let it stand. The temperature of the room skyrocketed as steam escaped from the exposed parts of his skin. 

"Rex, calm down!" Himeko shouted as she noticed how agitated the young man was and approached him. Seeing this, Reinhardt moved immediately and caught Himeko's hand, carried her princess style, and jumped away from his little brother. 

"W-what are you doing?!" Shouted a red-faced Himeko while Theresa looked at her nephew and friend with a smug smile while ignoring the dark aura from Kallen and the way Sakura glared at Reinhardt.

"Rex is letting out as much body heat as he can. Reve." 

"On it." Reve, who was holding Hati Skoll on their revolver forms combined the two to create a sword just like the Judgement of Shamash. Suddenly the heat from the room gradually lessened as Reve leaned the sword near Rex's bed. "That should be enough until he calms down." 

"So a temper tantrum?" Himeko asked while blushing. 

"In a way," Reinhardt answered as he let her down. "You see, Rex is able to activate the locked Crozzo genes. But sadly this means that he will no longer be able to die outside of battle nor can he die peacefully." 

Hearing those words, everyone in the room looked at the eldest Crozzo. While Kiana looked in worry at the way Rex ignored everyone and cursed as he wished. 

"You see, we crozzos have a special gene just like the Kaslanas. While the Kaslanas are similar to winter, our family's genes are comparable to an inferno." Reve explained as he loosened his tie and opened his upper button to show them the steam that escaped his skin. Of course, the rest of them looked in worry. 

"The more agitated we get, the stronger we get but there is a risk. We risk burning ourselves to ashes by our own power." Reinhardt said as the onlookers looked on in shock at the Crozzo trio. 

"t-that's" Kiana looked at the cursing Rex who was being cooled down by Hati Skoll and was about to approach him. 

"Don't get closer to him Kiana, Rex is still nuclear." Reve said as finally, the steam from his body stopped escaping." 

"Nuclear?" Kiana asked in worry.

"Yes. Since this is the first time Rex awakened his genes, he won't be able to control them. Luckily he brought Hati Skoll with him or we will be here longer." Reinhardt said in relief. "But as things go on like this, Rex will be more hotheaded and be more violent than he was." 

"B-but Reve became a lot quieter than he was back then." Bianka let out as she planned to bring some cooling aids whenever she went out with Reve. 

"Well, yes that's true but Reve is a different case. You can compare Rex and me to a regular flame. But Reve is a different kind of flame. While Rex and I are like flames that act on heat and destructive power, Reve's flame is so cold that it burns. Meaning Reve is more reserved compared to Rex and me. But it will be a lot harder for Rex to control his genes at this rate." 

"Why is that?" Siegfried asked. 

"You see, the way our genes awakened will influence our personality. For me, I awakened mine when I wanted to protect Reve and Rex when we were younger." Reinhardt said as he looked at them. 

"For me, it was when I wanted to protect Bianka when we were injured back then," Reve said while Bianka blushed heavily. 

"But for Rex. He woke up his genes while being spiteful. He has a lot of resentment inside but thankfully I have some contacts with a person I know I can trust." 

"Who is it?" Cecilia asked, hoping that the person Reinhardt knew would be able to help Rex control his powers.

"The student of the great celestial of Shenzhou, Cheng Lixue," Reinhardt said surprising Cecilia about the fact that her friend took another student. "My training partner, and... one of the top candidates to be my wife according to the family elders." 

"Why not just contact the Celestial?" Kallen said, her voice a bit more aggressive than normal. 

"I agree with Kallen, she will be able to teach Rex more and it will give you some time to teach Rin more," Sakura said as her eyes narrowed at him. 

"Because. The Celestial of Shenzhou has disappeared after her battle with the demon king and only Cheng knows the secrets more than I do." Reinhardt said with a shiver as he remembered the training he had with the blue-haired Chinese lady. "And that I have to reschedule a date I have been trying to forget for years." He said with a sigh before taking out a phone. 

"Wait? Demon king? Ren did go by that name back then." Cecilia said out loud and everyone looked at her. 

"Wait? How do you know master Phoenix?" Reinhardt asked Cecilia. "And the demon king?" 

"Well... you see, I was the flower girl to their wedding and master Ren, or the demon king, is my adoptive father," Cecilia said with a smile on her face. "Oh? Also, I was trained by both of them so we can just contact them, little brother." 

"Wait... that means." Tears fell from Reinhardt's eyes as he knelt down in front of Cecilia. "thank you! thank you so much! Now I don't have to deal with." 

"Hm? You got a bit taller and more muscular than the last time I saw you." A rather familiar and haunting voice said and Reinhardt turned around paled not only Cheng Lixue, dressed in her uniform, was here she also brought her. The demonic girl he studied with six years ago, Li Sushang.

"FUCK!" For the first time in years, Reinhardt Crozzo lost control of his Crozzo genes and soon the whole room was covered in steam when it disappeared it revealed Cheng using Reinhardt like a chair with a cup of tea in her hand. While Sushang was just smiling as she poked Rein's cheek with her finger.
