Final Samsara
Kallen Kaslana groaned as she opened her eyes. She was dressed in clothes of that of a nun and she held a pair of guns in her hand.
"Do you remember now?" A voice told her. Looking up, the young Kaslana's eyes widened in shock and horror at the sight of her childhood friend and best friend heavily injured and suspended in mid-air.
Reinhardt Crozzo, the youngest son of the Crozzo family, wielder of the divine key, Camelot, is suspended in the air with chains that she recognized. It belonged to the same weapon she used for so long. The divine key, Oath of Judah.
The Kaslana covered her mouth for Reinhardt was stabbed by a familiar Katana, one that belonged to her beloved, on his chest all the way to the hilt. with purple lines running up his torso just like cracks in a glass
There were several burn marks and a cauterized hole in his stomach that she knew came from the Judgement of Shamash.
"R-Reinnie..." Kallen called out. No, it can't be! Reinhardt was the strongest soldier and warrior Shicksal ever produced. He was apprenticed and squired by her father, Francis Kaslana.
His defenses were so good that even in a serious spar, Kallen could not hurt him even if she disarmed him of his shield.
So how did he get this injured?
Countless amounts of memories soon came into her mind. It was mostly of her, Reinhardt, and Sakura.
Then it happened.
She saw Reinhardt standing over Sakura, Blood on his hands as it pierced through the young woman's stomach like a hot knife to butter as he held the black box in one hand.
No! No! No!
No no no no no no no! It can't be! Reinhardt... Rein will never do this!
"Rein... Sakura!" The Kallen in her memory said as she looked at her lover.
---
Otto Apocalypse smiled happily as he stared at the screen.
"Finally. I have managed to breakthrough. The avatars wi be needed and can be used now. Soon, you will be back." The overseer said with a maniacal grin as he gently caressed the screen.
"Master Otto, the false memories are now ready." His assistant and aide said as she walked towards his back.
"Good job Amber." Taking the flash drive, Otto put it on the USB drive and smiled as the memory upload has begun.
"Soon, everything will be perfect."
----
Kallen's eyes widened as a memory came into her mind from the day she got captured and when Reinhardt betrayed her.
He revealed a truth that sickened her to her very core and made her feel hatred for her closest and most beloved friend.
(Kallen flashback)
A crying Kallen fell to her knees with tears in her eyes as she looked lifelessly at her best friend.
"That's right, Kallen. I killed Yae." Reinhardt said in a cold emotionless tone while he pulled out the Katana stabbed on his chest and threw it away.
"W... why? R-Reinnie?" the young Kaslana whispered as she could not believe what Reinhardt told her. She knew him, he had always been so kind and gentle.
D-did the black box do this?
"No, it's not. The Crozzo family has always been immune to the honkai allowing us to become the feared 'Executors' of the Schicksal. We hunted the Honkai, for all our lives and what do we get for saving people? Exiled and forgotten, only seen as tools." He said coldly as he turned his body to the collapsed form of the pink-haired sword-wielding shrine maiden, who was missing her fox ears and had blood covering her stomach.
Her face looked so pure like she was just sleeping. Reinhardt smirked as he raised his foot and stepped on Sakura's head.
"You were the greatest prey, Kallen," Reinhardt revealed. "You were beautiful, blinding. The way to restore my family back to its honor, yet we both fell for the same woman."
Same woman? Rein, you fell for Sakura too...
Why... why did my chest hurt.
"But she chose you over me even when I was there during the nights you were gone."
No!
Rein! he...
"That's right, I took advantage of Sakura while you were gone. But she still chose you over me." A twisted smile that made Kallen's stomach twist and turn, appeared on her friend's face. Red started to cloud her vision.
"I hate you..." Kallen whispered as she glared at him. The young woman gritted her teeth and took out the divine key, judgment of shamash. "I hate you!" Kallen shouted as she shot at him.
Unfazed by this, the greatest warrior of Schicksal merely raised his hand as a transparent shield blocked the blows from the judgment of Shamash.
"That was what she said back then. Yet, she always came back." Reinhardt added as he used his shield to deflect or block the bullets from Shamash.
"I trusted you!" Kallen shouted as she used her famed Kaslana strength and kicked off the ground and slammed into the shield-bearer with enough force to send him crashing through several trees.
Hot angry tears fell from the Kaslana as she glared at Reinhardt.
"It was not easy you know." Reinhardt's voice echoed through as he walked out with hardly any injuries at all. "I had to drug and hypnotize her and she still resisted. But I broke her and I took you both."
That was it. After those words, Kallen acted on her emotions and rage and started to attack her friend.
The last thing she remembered was the pained and tearful self-deprecating smile Reinhardt wore.
"Please... hate me, Kallen. This is the only way I know... the only way for us... no, you... to be happy," Reinhardt whispered as she blacked out.
---
Kallen opened her eyes as her heart cracked. she could not believe it, her oldest friend betrayed her and killed the woman she loved. The white-haired Kaslana saw a white roof and a familiar form of her blonde childhood friend.
"Welcome back. Goof afternoon, Kallen." Otto Apocalypse said with a smile. "It has been 500 years.
Normally she would have been surprised but the pain and revelation made her numb to everything.
"It seems like Rein-Kun's plan worked." A beautiful yet familiar voice caught Kallen's attention. Standing with a smile as she entered the room, a beautiful pink-haired young woman smiled at her. "Good morning, Kallen." Sakura greeted with a smile, causing the Kaslana to stand up and tackle the young shrine maiden into a tight hug.
"What's wrong?" Sakura asked as she noticed that Kallen was shivering and trembling slightly.
"Why? Why didn't you tell me what Rein... Crozzo did?!" Kallen asked with a tear-stained face desperate for answers.
"Rein-Kun? What's wrong Kallen?" Sakura asked as she looked at her lover, a pit forming on her stomach.
off to the side, Otto's smirk and happy expression faded as his eyes widened ever so slightly.
'Did the plan not work? Her memories should have been tampered with by now. Is something wrong? No. It did. Soon, my wish will be granted.' Otto thought, smiling inside his mind.
in a city
A dark-haired young man froze as his head throbbed. What is this feeling?
"Come on, Rex! We're gonna be late for that movie!" A white-haired girl with braided twintails called out as she grabbed the young man's arm and hand to drag him away to the theater.
"Kiana-chan! Calm down! Please let go of Rex!" a black-haired beautiful young woman said as she walked leisurely from behind them.
"it seems like Subject Rex needs more protection against Kiana Idiotka." A monotone voice came from the gray-haired girl beside the girl.
"Now, now. let them have their own fun." a beautiful red-haired woman said as she looked at the duo of Kaslana and Crozzo with a fond smile. After all, the Kaslana and Crozzo families have been so close and intertwined to each other for countless generations until the late 1400s to early 1500s due to the betrayal done by Schicksal's greatest traitor, Reinhardt Crozzo.
