Judging Mechanics.

1. Involvement: 10pts.

This will focus on the Cover, the Title and the Blurb and the Hook.

2. Plot: 20pts.

How unique is it? Does the story line flow naturally or was it forced.

3. Characterization: 20pts

Your characters should have strengths as well as flaws— making them relatable; enough to make us feel for them.

3. Setting: 10pts.

The location of your story. World building, time frame, e.t.c.

4. Tone and Writing style: 10pts.

Did you set the right tone or was the tone off from the storyline/plot. Was your narrative voice enchanting.

5. Dialogue &  Pacing: 10pts

Did you succeed in inciting an interesting dialogue which accentuated the plot/storyline?

6. Grammar & Spelling: 10 pts.

Does your story have proper punctuation to increase the story flow?

If you are the type that repeated an information twice, this is where you fail.

Total: 90points.
