Summary

USA 1976

Neli Allaband was a twelve years old orphan girl whose guardians decided that her new home will be the a small rural city of Alma in Arkansas.

She was adopted from a wealthy landowner family called the Ardolfs ,and grow up with the only other child of the family, Albert.

The mother of the house Miranda died from a tragic accident in the road after sudden mechanical damage in the brakes of her car , only a year after the girl arrival in the house.

As the years passed by the two of them developed a special bond and become unseparated as a brother and sister and by her eighteen birthday Neli was a attractive, charming girl ,with sweat manners and successful in school.

But with a very fragile health.

John from the other hand was four years older than her , tall and heavily built ,muscled guy.

He was unusually strong from a very early age in contrast with his short and tiny sister, but he wasn't very good in school as Neli.

He was also socially isolated, usually hostile or unfriendly with other teenagers and suffered from depression.

Not rarely his alcoholic father, John, abused him and behave towards him with contempt often called him a bastard child.

Towards the girl his attitude was totally ignorant until recently when he realised that she was almost an adult woman and ready to leave the house.

Albert was totally different in appearance and character from his father and the local gossips claimed this wasn't a coincidence.

One hot summer night John mysteriously disappeared when he went to visit a local farmhouse and after weeks he considered dead by most of the people in their local community.

Meanwhile Neli received a letter with a scholarship that invited her to the main city university and prepared to leave the house despite the arguments from Albert who suddenly found himself abandoned by the only person that he ever showed him affection in his dark life.

The same night the girl get kidnapped and woke up chained in an isolated hut deep inside the forest that surrounded the small village.

Albert appeared soon after and tried to calm down the socked girl bringing her medication and confessed in front of her that he is actually here to help her.

Neli accused him of kidnapping her and asks if he is about to rape her.

The girl often touched him with intimacy in the past even if he refused any sexual interactions with her and expressed repeatedly that he doesn't want this kind of attention from membersof his family.

The boy denied everything and said that it whim that brought her there.

But when the girl ask him to unlock her ankle shackles he refused saying that he cannot free her and he must leave as soon as possible because "he is coming " .

In the end he shoutes her to trust him and don't attempt anything foolish.

Neli believed that Albert had lost his mind and he was the man that kidnapped her, is trying to find a way to escape and for that she is willing to use her own body to manipulate him.

But the real truth about her abduction is more complicate and dark than she could realise in her present situation.
